LA’s New Restaurant Openings - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Sidoh means “early morning” in Zapotec, which is fitting for a cafe in West LA that opens bright and early at 6:30 am. They source their coffee beans from Oaxaca for horchata lattes, Oaxacan chocolate mochas, and cold brews infused with café de olla spices. There’s a pastry case with conchas, cookies, and muffins, plus three types of breakfast burritos, including a bacon-ham hybrid called Striker’s Revenge." - cathy park

Arrived on a weekday morning at 10am. It's in a small shopping center so there can be difficulty parking. I ordered the Slugger Breakfast Burrito and a Sierra Jaurez Latte. I enjoyed the coffee and the burrito was tasty and bigger than I expected. I would stop by again and try a different burrito and coffee.

Google
Amazing service, employees are super friendly! Beans are imported from Oaxaca, making every latte even better! Burritos are huge and delicious. Definitely has become my favorite cafe by far. Amazing community presence!

Sidóh is a hidden cafe with serious Latin soul. The horchata latte is a standout—creamy, refreshing, and topped with just the right amount of cinnamon. The vibe is very cozy. On my visit, Bronco was playing softly in the background, adding a nostalgic tone. My mom loved bronco growing up. The design is charming and matches vintage-style logo printed on coasters and merch. Parking is limited, so plan ahead or be ready to circle the block. They also have limited food options, only burritos: chorizo and vegetable options. Conclusion: The staff here are super friendly and hardworking. It’s a small, tucked-away spot, cozy and welcoming. You don’t come across many Latin cafés—it’s got a unique vibe. I love the music, and the branding is on point. Whether you’re popping in for a quick latte, cappuccino, or settling in with your laptop.

Love this place , the food is great, fresh and tasty. The coffee beans are imported from Oaxaca , has an excellent taste ! We order a chorizo burrito , sancho sandwich and a horchata latte , we appreciate the fresh veggies.

Google
Stopped in because I was in the area and read reviews that they had good matcha… but I unfortunately got unlucky because my drink was not good at all. Very watered down matcha. No flavor. I had to throw it out because there was no point forcing myself to drink it so I didn’t feel guilty spending $7 on it. The staff were nice though! And it was a cute place with parking spots.

Google
100% absolutely recommend this place. I came from Coachella valley to try Sierra Juárez ice latte and Pumpkin as well. You can taste the true, authentic Oaxaca love. 🤎🤎🤎

Google
Amazing iced horchata latte! I love that they make their own house-made syrups. I also got their breakfast burrito which was huge and very filling. It tasted very home made and their salsas paired nicely. Overall, a great spot to try out some specialty lattes and if you’re hangry.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall or an underestimated gem - this place deserves more credit than it has right now on yelp. I appreciate the parking lot outside as well as the cozy inside, service, decor and even the authentic and yummy flavors of their food and drinks. The guy forgot our drinks, and without us even asking or saying anything, gave us a concha on the house which he warmed up right before he gave to us. That in itself speaks to their hospitality, their sense of community and how underrated this place in. Also, the sierra juarez is actually coffee or dark chocolate from Oaxaca which I appreciated in terms of flavor and how subtle sweet and rich it was. Cherry on top for supporting both locals with a back to school drive and resourcing from locals back in their home countries

Yelp
5 stars for the coffee, service, and burritos!! Sidoh Cafe is a great neighborhood Oaxacan spot, open daily from 6:30am-3pm. The owner is a UCLA alum (go Bruins!), and a lot of items are sourced from Oaxaca (coffee beans, clay mugs). Specialty drinks include a horchata latte, Sierra Juarez latte, and a Oaxacan hot chocolate. They also have a strawberry matcha and other teas for non-coffee folks. The surprise hit though might be their burritos. Geez, they are huge! I got one to-go, and when they gave me the bag, I literally said, "WTF, why is it so heavy?" I got the chorizo burrito for my husband and he loved it. It had chorizo, eggs, potatoes, and onions. Highly recommend! There's limited parking in the lot since it's shared with other restaurants, but if you come before 11am, parking isn't too bad. The other restaurants don't open until 11am.

Yelp
What a way to start the day. My partner and I woke up to the sound of drums--turns out, Sidoh Café was celebrating its grand opening with a full-on school band and a mechanical bull! When we arrived, the parking lot and shop were already packed with people excited to welcome the Sidoh family to the West LA Sawtelle neighborhood. It was such a joyful scene, and you could feel the community's support. They're selling beautiful handmade mugs from Oaxaca, with proceeds going directly to the artisans who crafted them! We're excited to come back for the coffee, burritos, and tea--can't wait to see what this vibrant new spot has to offer.

Yelp
I was just passing by. I didn't imagine it was an Oaxacan-style coffee. Given the name, I was expecting Turkish coffee. Oh, my surprise! Specialized Oaxacan-style coffee (the sweetness comes from Oaxacan chocolate). How rich, smooth, and delicious. The staff is friendly and explains the menu options if you have any questions. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the Latin-Mexican music is playing. I like it.

Yelp
Just moved to the Area & was lucky enough to find this hidden Gem. The Ambiance is welcoming form the moment you walk in. Great Service just go hand in hand with the Delicious coffee brought over from Oaxaca, Mexico. Highly recommended. A must try.

Yelp
I love this cafe so much! The burrito was amazing! It's generously filled and flavorful and the salsa it comes with enhances the flavor the burrito already has along with adding a kick of spice. The strawberry matcha never fails to disappoint it's rich and refreshing! One of the best matcha I've had fs! Servers were nice and friendly and the atmosphere had an authentic charm to it!

Yelp
Popped in as I drove through town and had the best breakfast burrito! It was huge and I was so happy they had salsas available that's made in house. I also ordered the Sierra Juarez Latte which had the perfect chocolate and sweet balance that a latte could have. Beans are roasted in house as well. It's nice to walk in to a cafe that pays attention to the small details. Service was great as well. Very sweet baristas. Hope to stop by again soon!

Yelp
Sidoh is a lovely new Mexican cafe on Olympic off of the main Sawtelle strip! My fridge was empty as I've been moving out of my Brentwood apartment, so I treated myself to a burrito and coffee for breakfast. Parking in that strip mall is pretty easy, and the guy working the counter was friendly and helpful. I got the Striker Burrito (has scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, bell peppers, onions, cheese) and an iced horchata latte to-go. The horchata latte was a bit sweeter and a little more milky than I would have liked it to be, but it was a pretty generous serving, and the cinnamon flavor was nice and strong. The burrito is BIG. I have seen breakfast burritos from places like Sobuneh that charge $20 for something that is essentially the size of a frozen microwave burrito. Here, the burritos are ~$15, hefty, and can easily last you two meals. I enjoyed the familiar, comforting combo of flavors--I like a little onion and pepper for texture and veggies. What threw me off a bit is that they use large chunks of what I think is roast potato in the burrito. I prefer smaller, crispier potatoes, tots, or hash browns, but I was surprised at how flavorful the potato chunks were. I also wish there was a little bit more meat; the pieces of bacon and ham (I think they were supposed to be wienies) were pretty undetectable. Aside from that, this is a great new addition to the Westside, especially if you are a person like me who would always prefer a humble burrito in the morning over a sit-down brunch.

Yelp
Great little new Oaxacan café, tried the Sierra Juarez latte and the slugger breakfast burrito. Marcos was kind with great service and I learned a lot about their start and coffee process. Highly would recommend checking out this hidden gem!

Yelp
Ambiance and customer service is top notch. Talk about a welcoming coffee shop that feels like you're visiting family! Their banana bread was delicious and fresh, as was their Juarez latte (highly recommend)! Their food looked tempting too, just wasn't hungry while visiting this time. Will be coming back!

olivia m.

Yelp
It was okay. The food wasn't the best but the coffee was pretty good. The service takes forever. Be prepared to wait awhile

Robert M.

Yelp
food is great, well priced! ambiance is nice, great music and calm location-- and servers are sweet! its a great deal, all around! recommend it!!

Steve G.

Yelp
Tried out Sidoh Cafe today and greatly enjoyed. Got the Horchata and Sierra Juarez lattes - very flavorful and not too sweet. Also got a breakfast burrito, which was ginormous and very, very good. Coffee was west LA prices, but the burrito was a deal for what you get! I'm a big guy and I questioned if I could eat the whole thing - something I don't think I have ever said about a burrito! Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely try again.

Monica S.

Yelp
Coffee and vibes are amazing ! Friendly staff and lots of space. The horchata latte is SOO delicious, and the barista who made it was possessed by the cinnamon gods because the cinnamon was cinnamon-ing

So yummy! Has become one of my regular spots now! Definitely one of the biggest burritos I've ever seen( I recommend the Striker) and you can't go wrong with any of their lattes!

Yelp
Great drinks and service! Will definitely be back here. I haven't tried their food yet but the burritos are very large and I'm excited to try.
