Silo - Review - The Gulch - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Silo is an all-day dining spot at the Canopy Nashville. They’ve got a dog-friendly wraparound patio facing Division Street and a full-scale brewing silo that’s been repurposed as an art installation inside the dining room. The menu’s full of dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes, sourdough benedict, short rib ragout, and mac and cheese croquettes. But Silo’s also partnered with Five Point Pizza, so you can forgo the dining room and grab a slice from the window facing Division Street. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

From the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, setting the tone for a delightful meal. The food was absolutely delicious comforting, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Each dish felt crafted with care and balance, offering both satisfaction and a touch of indulgence. Our waiter Andres was amazing! This spot delivers not just great food, but a dining experience that leaves you wanting to return. I’ll definitely be back.

Amazing food and even more amazing people! Every dish is full of flavor, and I’ve loved every single time I’ve been here. The host Anya and Shubham makes you feel like you’re visiting friends rather than a restaurant. Always such a great experience!

First visit here, and I loved it!! Love the atmosphere, and my server, Shubham, was great! The food was delicious, and that was one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. My almond milk latte had the perfect balance and was creamy. I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes. I definitely found a new favorite!

Such a good find while walking around The Gulch! We were craving something fresh and light and ended up splitting the blackened fish tacos and Cobb salad both were so delicious. The tacos were perfectly seasoned & cooked. It with a homemade salsa that was amazinggg! I also got their iced matcha, and as a matcha lover, I was impressed.. it’s real ceremonial matcha, not the fake stuff. We also shared the beer pretzels with the infused beer cheese and loved those too. Service was quick, super friendly, and the manager even stopped by to greet us and told us everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients, which was the cherry on top for us! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Nashville.

I came here for my friend’s birthday and what an incredible experience! The food was absolutely perfect. I had the Herb Chicken Bowl and it was delicious. Our server Juan David went above and beyond with his suggestions, sharing the back story of the restaurant, and providing such attentive service. Everything was so good that we even asked to speak with the manager Alex, who was also incredibly kind and welcoming. We are only in town for the weekend but I already plan to come back again before we leave. Truly outstanding all around!

Silo is awesome. Super pet friendly (brought my dog a pup cup and a treat) too! Don’t miss out on the egg sandwich, it’s unbelievable. Corey was the MAN! They also just rolled out discounts if you’re a Gulch local — don’t miss out!

My wife and I heard about this newly opened restaurant through social media and were instantly intrigued. It’s tucked inside the brand-new Canopy Hotel, and we decided to check it out for dinner on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 7 p.m., just as the place was starting to fill up with a lively crowd. The ambiance struck us right away — warm and inviting, yet spacious. Tables are nicely spread out so you’re not too close to your neighbors, and there’s a bar area that adds a laid-back charm. The high ceilings on the ground floor give it an airy feel, and the overall vibe was stylish yet unpretentious — the kind of place where you could easily linger for hours. Food & Drinks: One of the coolest things about this place is their collaborative menu concept — they’ve partnered with local favorites to round out their offerings. You can order draft beer from Yazoo, coffee from 8th & Roast, and pizzas from Five Points, along with their own in-house dishes. It’s like getting a taste of Nashville all in one spot. Yazoo Locale APA I started with a Yazoo Locale APA — light, crisp, and super refreshing. Just the kind of beer I enjoy. It paired perfectly with the food and set the tone for the night. Charred Steak Bowl This dish came out looking like a rainbow in a bowl — vibrant and full of texture. The charred steak was cooked to a perfect medium: tender, flavorful, and nicely seared. While I usually go for medium-rare, this was chewy in a good way and seasoned beautifully. It came with roasted grape tomatoes, sliced carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, and a bed of aromatic jasmine rice. Everything was balanced, both in flavor and in texture. If you’re a rice bowl fan, this one’s a must. Mac & Cheese Croquettes (Vegan) These surprised us in the best way. Golden and crispy on the outside, with a smooth, not-too-cheesy filling that had great flavor. The sauce underneath added just the right amount of kick without overpowering the dish. Light, flavorful, and not greasy at all — we absolutely loved these and would order them again in a heartbeat. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The food was thoughtful and delicious, the drinks hit the mark, and the whole place had a relaxed, easygoing energy that made us want to stay longer. We’ll definitely be back — and we’re already telling friends to check it out. Highly recommend!

Yelp
While the food was very good the service was even better: outstanding! The dining area is very open, no booths and, to us, noisy. I think that's by design. Nonetheless, we would absolutely return.

Yelp
What a great addition to the Gulch! From the second we walked in, the four of us had an amazing experience at Silo. We were welcomed and greeted warmly and promptly by the hostess and our server. Our server explained a bit of the concept and backstory behind Silo (former site of Yazoo brewery). We loved the menu! We were there for breakfast, but were interested to learn about their lunch and dinner offerings. There is a full well-stocked bar with all Yazoo beers on tap. Very cool, and great ambiance and vibe. There were no bad views from any tables due to the enormous windows and lots of natural light, great for people watching! I had the build your own omelette, and it was delicious. The sprinkling of coarse sea salt on top of the omelette put it over the top, and there was a blistered tomato garnish on my plate that I loved. Drinks were all awesome, because the restaurant has partnered with 8th and Roast so you know the coffee was great. All three of my other companions couldn't turn down the lemon lime agave pancakes. They looked awesome and no one had anything left on their plates. We can't wait to come back for their lunch or dinner; from what we hear it's already the spot to be after work. So happy to have this great new addition to the Gulch's dining scene!

Yelp
We went for brunch and it was not a disappointment. They had a cool DJ playing early 2000s music and some current top 40 hits. The food was good. Everyone in my party loved their meals. The servers were super polite and the food came fast. The building is beautiful but it is still being updated. Prices are not bad. They also have endless mimosas, matchas, and a full bar too.

Yelp
It was a beautiful evening so my bf and I stopped in at the outdoor bar counter of Silo at the Canopy hotel and I am very glad we did! There were multiple bartenders who came by to check on us and get our order. For drinks we had a margarita and a dirty vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives - yay! The drinks were very good and came out quickly, and we decided to try the menu. I love that they offer pizza from the 5 Points window in the hotel! The all day menu is elevated gastropub with some lighter options like salads, protein bowls, and appetizers, but also have entrees and sandwiches as well. I ordered the ponzu tuna bowl and it was excellent. The bowl was fresh and came with guacamole and noodles. The chicken tenders were just ok. For having so much sauce on them they somehow weren't super flavorful or interesting. The spicy pickles on the side were very good though, as were the side of fries. I really appreciate that Silo is honoring some Nashville history with the design and menu (the Yazoo brewery was in the same spot years ago for those who don't remember). Silo is a great place to visit and I'll be back!

Yelp
I'm impressed. (And it takes a bit to impress me). This little restaurant located in "The Canopy" hotel in the gulch is surprisingly great! The breakfast is delicious. Service is attentive and on point (shout out our server Shubham) Management is always pitching in to make the experience better. Try the honey latte and avocado toast or breakfast Sammie's. What was most surprising is that this restaurant has only been open ONE MONTH and they function like a well oiled machine. Bravo!

Saundee S.

Yelp
The food was amazing! There were six of us and we all loved what we ordered! The Tuna Ponzu bowl was delicious!

Yelp
This was not a 5 star breakfast restaurant sub par at best. This is also in a hotel not a stand alone restaurant.

Keely C.

Yelp
Ate at the bar and I believe his name was Nick... not sure (he is from Atlanta) was so attentive and friendly. Made a lot of great recommendations for my trip. The salad suggestion was delicious- Cobb with addition of grilled chicken. If he hadn't told me about the cote de Rhône special I wouldn't have known. It was delicious! Because of his great hospitality, I came back the next night and Luke took great care of me again. Both guys gave the best customer service I've had in a long time and stood out from their peers at the property.

Yelp
