"Roving Maryland food truck Silver and Sons BBQ’s first fixed address continues to specialize in chef Jarrad Silver’s Jewish-Mediterranean takes on American smoked meats. The carryout counter with room for six standing patrons debuted this year with an expanded selection of sandwiches stuffed with turkey and slow-cooked brisket, sides like tallow potato chips, desserts, and weekly offerings like wagyu Wednesdays. Opening items include short rib pastrami, pulled lamb shoulder, buttery rugelach pastries, and chocolate babka buns." - Claudia Rosenbaum

Braved the lines yesterday for the Grand Opening of Silver and Sons BBQ and it was fantastic! We had the classic brisket sandwich, a pastrami sandwich and shared the succulent Israeli salad. Jared has hit a home run here, hatching his concept in his driveway during COVID and developing a huge following by way of his food truck and commissary. Note that this location has minimal seating, just a small counter and a few stools and really focuses on call-ahead, delivery and takeout ordering as well as catering options. High recommend and just what this growing area of Bethesda needs! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I will definitely come back again to try the other meats. We had lamb, a sandwich, and baklava for desert. The lamb is great and so is the sandwich. Service is very friendly. It is a small shop front with a few seats.

All the food was delicious! We got the sampler with the Creekstone Prime Brisket, Short Rib Pastrami, Baby Back Beef Ribs, and Smoked Turkey Breast with Mac and Cheese and all their sauces. Great group of people behind the counter as well!

Visited the new storefront on opening weekend. Service was friendly and the wait was about 5 minutes from ordering to receiving our food. The store is small with 6 chairs to eat in store. There was also a freezer/fridge section with prepare-at-home meals and fresh desserts. There are 2-3 street parking spots right out front or the parking garage next door. I went with my partner and we decided to get two 2x2 platters so we can sample 4 meats and get our own sides. In all we got the beef rib, chicken, turkey and pastrami. We also got napa slaw, israeli salad and the carrots. We agree that the beef rib was yummy but there was only about 2 ounces of meat on the bone, so we probably wont order it again. The chicken was very juicy and dark meat only. It has a hint of a kick which I didn’t perceive but my partner who has less spice tolerance did. He still really enjoyed it and would get it again. The pastrami was AMAZING, we both agree that was our favorite. The flavor is outstanding, its thick cut, very juicy and not overly salty. The turkey breast was well-brined and flavorful. This was the best choice if you are looking for lean meat. Napa slaw and israeli salad were refreshing and the carrots were my favorite side. The dukkah seasoning on the carrots was a little salty but when you get the carrot, dukkah and tzatziki topping all in one bit - ugh - its sooo good. Challah rolls were well structured but on the dry side. I got the spiced vinegar sauce which had a good kick to it. My partner got the sweet sauce which was also vinegar based. We loved the sauces and their thinness made them perfect for dipping. We plan to be back for more pastrami, poultry and desserts!

This is a unique and very tasty twist on barbecue and deli foods. The pastrami is thick, spiced and unbelievably tasty. You have never had a pastrami sandwich like this. They are not imitating other barbecue places or re-creating standard NY deli sandwiches. They are doing something original and it is delicious!

Such unique spin on BBQ with incredible flavors and sides that rotate. You can’t lose with really anything on the menu as everything we tried was great. Absolutely love the schmaltz potatoes and homemade sauces. The rotating desserts are always spectacular and worth saving room for.
