Google
Old school neighborhood breakfast place vibe. My favorite type of breakfast place. The service from Edith was AMAZING. Quick and attentive and super friendly with recommendations.

Google
One of my favorite breakfast places ever. Used to go regularly if not weekly when I lived in the area. Anytime Im passing through in the morning, this is our go to place. Food and prices are great as well as the service. I'm a French Toast person and this is my favorite place of any I've tried. Love that they also have maple as well as blueberry syrups. Need to get there early or prepare for a wait, but it's worth it.

Google
You can not skip this only fashion diner!!!!!!! I tried it this morning 🔥🔥🔥🖤 VERY DELICIOUS !!!! Have to come back and try more of their food. Customer service amazing, they always came back to check on us and checked on our drinks. Unfortunately I don’t know who was my server but she was extremely nice. The food to DIE FOR, I had a waffle strawberry with a strawberry shake super delicious. Everything here is made with love, it doesn’t taste like it’s they were cutting back on budget. I will be definitely coming back to this establishment for their home feeling place.

Google
Had a great experience, no wait for 5 people at 9am on a Sunday. Service was great, orange juice was huge, which is good since other places skimp out on the juice. Pancakes were absolutely top notch and delicious! All other food looked incredible. Would definitely eat here again when I come to town. One photo is of the chocolate pancakes, other is the banana pancakes. Both are short stacks.

Google
There are so many unique and delicious pancakes here! If you can't make up your mind try a couple, it's like ~$4 if you order a single and I always get 3-4 different pancakes haha. Service when I go is so kind and attentive, and the look of the place is a blast from the past. I bring friends here just for the old-school and cozy atmosphere. They come back on their own for the amazing food😋🥞

Google
Im very disappointed 😞 by the service I was given i arrived at 10am and waited patiently with my family for 30min no problem but the host sat us down in one of the windows tables of course we loved it !! But then they said that they had made a mistake for sitting us there that we had to get up and wait and sit in a different spot 🤔 I was like if it was your mistake then how are you pleasing us as clients too of course my 6 year old was so disappointed me as well we disliked like that I was really mad and left the place good thing there Dennys that has excellent service hahaha 😆 right. I really hope you don't do that to someone else ever.

Google
I like the ladies that have worked there for years. New young buck girl not so much. We asked for a side of pickles. She said she would tell someone but we watched her and she never said anything to our server. I told our server later.

Ryan N.

Google
Great food but it’s impossible to navigate or even get in if you are ADA or bring someone in a wheelchair. I really hope they get this addressed before the city addresses it. I did mention it already to the city and no response. I couldn’t get my grandfather in because he can’t leave his wheelchair and they recommended I lift him and carry him in. No way to get in with a chair. I can’t imagine a motorized chair.

Yelp
The only highlight of this breakfast was me winning two matches in Clash Royale. The steak... Gave me no hope for survival. I don't think I've ever seen anything more white in my entire life besides my sister. other than that, stick to the pancakes... I like their pancakes.

Yelp
We visited here on Monday 12pm. Always so good place to have amazing American breakfast!! Never disappointed.

Yelp
Step back in time for the city of Corona as soon as you walk through the double doors of this restaurant. They honor the past. The service is friendly and pretty fast, even during the weekend rush! The variety of food is the best with pancakes holding the spotlight. The Ortega burger is the best in town!
google avatar

DC K.

Yelp
The food was amazing, fast service. Best pancakes. Love the atmosphere, family oriented, staff make you feel welcome.

Yelp
Great service and great food, I believe it's the oldest restaurant in corona so there's some cool history here.

Yelp
We love coming to this family owned restaurant! They have the best breakfast in town and you can't beat the service you will get here. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. It's like a diner you go where everyone knows your name. We always feel like home when we eat here. The food is always on point, and everything we've had has been amazing! We usually get the ultimate omelette and add onions and green peppers with biscuits and gravy. And my hubby will get the short stack pancakes or waffles and we share it. Today, we decided to try the pineapple pancakes and I can't believe we didn't have this before. Their pancakes are already good, but the pineapple sauce and shredded coconut just took it to another level. These pancakes are under rated and is a must try. If you like pina colada or anything with pineapple, then you will love it! The pineapple sauce is not too sweet and is just a perfect touch with the shredded coconut. Pancakes are fluffy and cooked to perfection. Definitely will get it again. If you haven't come by to try this place out, you need to! You won't regret it and it's worth the wait cause they do get busy.

Yelp
Oh no! After not patronizing here for a decade, we decided to give it one more chance. But sadly, I still find little that would convince me to return. I wish I didn't have to feel that way. This is supposedly a Corona icon. Prices. Granted, all of us are struggling to survive the inflation right now, but they could have tried a little harder. Breakfasts have become exceedingly expensive for what you get. But the topper was a surcharge for each egg on your plate. And, once they arrived, the eggs were appallingly small. Then, more surcharges for cups to go, and a surcharge for ice in that cup. Frankly, I find "surcharges" are a turn-off. The buttermilk pancakes were nothing to write home about and had already cooled down by the time the butter was applied, so the butter wouldn't melt. Same problem with the toast. The hash browns, while good, were only crisp on one side. The other side was cooked but flabby white. The tables are too close together, seating was cramped. The stools at the counter looked more appealing. The room temperature was chilly. If you are mobility or wheelchair challenged, access to the dining room requires climbing a couple stairs and squeezing through narrow aisles. And lastly, who wants to sit at tables right next to the bathroom door? Now that I have vented, I can tell you a few things things that went well. Our waitress was very sweet. The sausage links are savory delicious. The food came out of the kitchen fairly quickly. The coffee and water refills kept coming. It appeared the interior had recently been repainted and seats reupholstered, all in a pleasant aqua color. I am still confused why this place has survived over so many decades. Honestly, we have several far better breakfast places in the area. But still, they come.

Yelp
Delicious food, services is amazing super friendly, ambiance is welcoming feels like at home, love coming here. This time I went with some pecan pancakes and decafe coffee.

Yelp
Small little diner. Normal breakfast food. The only problem we had was the steak was beyond dry. I know I know, but well done is MY preference. However, I've eaten at Norms, IHop, Denny's and other small mama and papa diners and it's never this dry. It was hard to eat. Overall, everything else was fine. We did enjoy their biscuit and gravy. Everyone there is all nice and attentive.

Yelp
The Biscuits & Gravy were absolutely delicious paired with a generous amount of bacon, hash and overhard eggs. My husband ordered the corned beef and hash with a side of super soft pancakes. No complaints with customer service. They checked in frequently and made sure to keep our coffee filled. The place is small and gets super crowded on the weekends. The decor is very vintage looking diner vibes. I'll be back again for sure!

Yelp
We came here with a couple of farther-away friends for the first time this weekend. It was their favorite breakfast place in our area. Funny that it took a couple of out-of-towners to show us this place. The atmosphere was a lovely accessible diner vibe. Our waitress was delightful, diligent, and attentive. I ordered the corn-beef hash with eggs. It was lovingly cooked. One of our companions asked for well-done hashbrown, and it was actually listened to! Too often that request goes unanswered. Since the name of the place is pancake, of course we had to try. The pancake featured different available flavors. The original/plain was delicious. Fluffy with great texture. The flavored ones with toppings were great also, albeit a bit too much for me. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast place. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I hate to write this since I have been eating at this restaurant for decades and lately, they just can't get it right. I ordered banana pancakes light. And this is what I got. As soon as I opened the box, I could smell burn. Then I look at the bottom of the pancake and they are fine. So which is it? Is the top burnt or is the bottom not cooked? Look at the profile pic for Silver Dollar. That's how I want my pancakes. Why is it soo difficult for a PANCAKE restaurant to serve edible pancakes??? Not only did the pancakes look burnt, they tasted burnt as well. Not even the pecans or syrup could mask that bitter taste. To top it off, at the third bite, all I could taste was burnt onions. Between you and me, "burnt onion pancakes" should never be served...to anyone. Our whole breakfast went straight into the trash. Please do better Silver Dollar.

Yelp
This little gem in Corona is a must when craving breakfast. The service is top notch. Every server helps each other and checks on every guest. Smiles and great personalities all around. I ordered the Monte Christo. It was filled with plenty of deli slices and cheese. The bread wasn't too oily or over fried. A nice balance of ingredients. My family ordered omelets, hash browns, eggs, pancakes, bacon and everything in between. Everything was cooked to perfection. Overall, a great old school vibe. Established in 1922 and still serving up delicious food with great service. I love this spot!!!

Yelp
What an amazing place to eat. This makes you feel like you're in a 50s diner. The service is on point even though they are very busy and the food. Let me tell you, these aren't your average tasting pancakes. I could get addicted! First time, customer will definitely be back with my two grandsons . I have four sons. I will be letting them know as well. This is the place to eat.

Yelp
This place opens at 6. I came at 8 and they were short staffed. Seated ourselves as the no one was around. When waitress finally came out, I tried to get steak and eggs. She said they were out of steak. At breakfast place? Ok. Sure. Asked about soup of the day as it was raining and I really wanted some hot soup. Waitress said the soup was not ready. Wife and I got up and walked out.

Yelp
The Corona version of Cheers, where everybody knows your name. This is the locals choice for good food, fast friendly service and old school charm in a world of cold chain restaurants. Skip the chain places and support this terrific local business.
google avatar

Abraham K.

Yelp
Big portions, come out hot and tasty. Oldest restaurant in Corona, lots of regulars. Wait was long for food.
google avatar

Yelp
Love their pancakes... friendly service.... Popular and sometimes a wait, but it's worth it!

Yelp
I saw this place make a list for best pancakes somewhere and I have had it on my list to try for some time. I was able to pop in an a weekday and was surprised to see so many people there. They have a big counter to sit at, like your typical diner. And a medium size room full of tables. Luckily we didn't have to wait. Of course I got pancakes. I will say the menu was confusing on how many items you could pick from (like it should say or instead of and) but the waitress helped make it clear and even suggested a cheaper way to get the items we wanted. The food was good. I don't know if they are the best in Corona, but I would return to try some of the other items and enjoy the cute atmosphere.

Yelp
Due to my lactose intolerance, I couldn't eat because of the use of butter, cream, and milk. My family was able to eat, and they said everything was good, but I still felt uncomfortable at times. Unfortunately, acceptance depended on ethnicity, which was disappointing. Overall, it was acceptable for me.

Yelp
Went here on a morning when I was out and about running errands and responding to emails. I mention this because I sat at the bar for service and I was grateful for the balance between attentiveness and space the server provided to me. She made sure I had what I needed including refilling my coffee and bringing me water. The food did not take long to arrive after I placed the order. The servers were all friendly toward customers and the overall ambiance was homey and pleasant. I'd recommend this place, especially for their specials. Pop in here if you're ever in the Corona area. Definitely worth the detour off the highway.

Yelp
I could tell this was a local favorite when I entered on a random weekday. There were people sitting by the bar and many tables were occupied. Service was prompt and friendly. Sure, the interior could use some update and cleaning, but it also adds to the charm. This is supposedly the oldest diner in Corona, if I'm correct. We sat at a corner booth by a window. I ordered the number two special which consisted of two eggs, two pancakes, and a choice of protein. I picked bacon. It was what I expected - food from a diner. The pancakes were greasy, sweet, and gooey at the center. I prefer them thicker, fluffier, and well done. The bacon was salty, thin, and crispy. The eggs weren't bad. My husband enjoyed his waffles. Coffee was decent and they were quick to offer refills. Overall, the food was hearty and portion size was good.

Britney C.

Yelp
Food was 2 out of 10 Eggs were cold waffles were dry . Coffee tasted weird . And it smelled like chlorine in there .

Yelp
regular breakfast place. best to order pancakes which is their popular item. Perfect place for a break as they open at 6 am for early birds and if you are traveling
google avatar

Yelp
Five stars cuz they have bomb green chile the serve as a condiment with breakfast. Overall solid diner location. Looks like A busy neighborhood joint with holiday decor and locals with families

Yelp
This place is an absolute GEM! I'm not much of a pancakes person but they have the BEST banana-bread pancakes I've ever had! Biscuits and gravy were amazing. Service is fast considering how busy this place gets.

Yelp
What a gem! We were in the area and found this place. Their pancakes are amazing! So many options. A lot of people so we waited for a 20 minutes to get seated but the service was very good.

Yelp
Some of my favorite places to eat have those limited breakfast and lunch hours. If you're open 6am-2pm you have my attention. One of those places is an old Corona institution and LOOKS like an old Corona institution when you see it from the outside. Located on 6th St, the Silver Dollar Pancake House has that old school looking sign (which probably used to have neon on it) and that rock exterior that tells you it's been around for a minute. Inside you're met with a large dining counter which is probably where the regulars hang out. Further in is the dining area which is covered in pictures of kids sports teams and newspaper clippings. The menu is large and features lots of ways to eat pancakes....including one with chili....needless to say I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with biscuit and gravy on the side. The steak was nicely breaded and the gravy they serve is very good. The biscuit was moist and was covered in plenty of that delicious gravy. Service was friendly and efficient. My water glass was never empty long! The Silver Dollar Pancake House is my kind of place. And for a lot of other people too. I came on a Wednesday morning and it was still extremely full. That said, I have no complaints. The food and service were really good. I look forward to coming back! Recommended!

Yelp
It's my favorite breakfast spot. I love the service and the food is amazing! My boyfriend and I always get the banana and blueberry pancakes. 100/10!

Yelp
We have been coming here for many years. Celebrated birthdays. It's a splurge the portions are big for the prices. Everything we have order is delicious, there is something for everyone. My usual is eggs and corned beef hash and this time I spoiled myself with my favorite French toast. I like that now you can pick how many pancakes you want between 1 or 3 stacks. Place is small And somewhat loud. Makes you feel at home with family and friends. Parking big in the shopping center. Be ready to wait to get a table but once seated service is fast and friendly.

Estella R.

Yelp
Best breakfast cafe at 6am in Corona! Our go to place for good food & family atmosphere. Robert the cook is awesome! The waiting staff has been there for so long, very friendly & efficient. Their house salsa is great with any omelet or eggs. Fast service in spite of the popularity of establishment.

Laurie T.

Yelp
Stopped in this morning to try this restaurant for the very first time. So very glad that we did so. Although very busy, we were seated quickly. Our server Jennifer was very attentive and friendly, prompt, efficient and checked in with us regularly. Food arrived promptly, prepared exactly as we would expect. Everything was hot, from the country fried steak snd eggs to the biscuits and gravy. Good flavor all around. Serving sizes were substantial. Morning specials are offered and we were tempted, but ultimately ordered off the regular menu. We will be back to try other items. Just one drawback that we found-they were VERY busy, and the patron conversation volume level was pretty high overall. Not a lot that the restaurant themselves can control.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's right around the corner from my house that we'd go there for breakfast. Oh my god my wife's and my breakfast were cooked perfectly exactly the way we wanted it, the service was just outstanding. I couldn't praise them even more, coffee was refilled right away iced tea for my wife Best coffee in town And the pancakes are so fluffy eggs were cook perfectly. Thank you so much for a great experience. We will be back.

Yelp
Great food and felt like we stepped into a Time Machine. They have history! 10/10 I'd recommend

Yelp

Yelp
Tried Silver Dollar on a yelp-whim and was not disappointed. Servers were very attentive, food was delicious, plates were big, and it had an old diner feel. Definitely checked all the boxes for a great breakfast and brunch spot.
google avatar

Lina G.

Yelp
First time for me here, Jennifer our server was super nice and attentive. I loved her personality and felt like a friend! She made our sunday breakfast very pleasant. She got my order right with my questions and extra things i wanted. We got the banana pancakes. They are huge! Food was delicious. I would come here again.
google avatar

Sammy L.

Yelp
Waited about 20 min to be seated. It was busy which I thought was a good thing. Food took about 15 min to come out. Ordered banana pecan pancakes and an omelette. Nothing special so not sure why the ratings are so high here. The restaurant felt a bit outdated but homey. Staff did not come by to refill water until after we received our check. Disappointed that it has so many reviews but was not worth the hype. Pancakes were not anything special that couldn't be made at home. I love hashbrowns and always order them at diners and it tasted like box hash. Won't be back.
google avatar

Zoie F.

Yelp
I was recently in the neighborhood and stopped by before heading over to Treble Tattoo. I found SDPH via Yelp, and I was not disappointed! As I mentioned to my friend, Daniel L., via text it seems like the spot that locals know to go to. I sat at the counter and service was fast and friendly. I couldn't help but notice that the waitress appeared to know most of the people who came in on first name basis. Moreso, the place was packed --- at 10am on a Wednesday. I had the #2 special, which came with 2 large pancakes, 2 breakfast sausage, and my choice of eggs (scrambled). The food was delicious, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see strawberry syrup as an accoutrement. SDPH had an old school diner vibe, and I am here for it! I'm never really in that part of town, but if I pass by again, I would definitely revisit!

Yelp
Even though it was busy on Sunday, their service was spectacular. We got the Swedish pancakes, eggs, and sausage. It was a delicious choice. Definitely a breakfast spot to come back to.

Yelp
I love, love, love a good breakfast My friends and I visited Silver Dollar Pancake House today attracted by its 4-star Yelp rating. Located at the corner of Grand and 6th, Silver Dollar is filled with people, even on a Monday morning. Our waitress is pleasant and friendly. When my friend ordered the Silver Dollar special with potato pancakes, she explained to us how they make their potato pancakes, which is not exactly what we anticipated but my friend decided to give it as try anyway. As to me, I ordered a ham & eggs plate, which is everything I wanted. Everything tasted fresh & great. I enjoyed the vibe at Silver Dollar, which is a throwback to the old time diner. It is a great joint for a delicious breakfast, but not when you are in a hurry. I will certainly be back when I as m in the area.

Yelp
My husband and I had breskfast here this morning. I had eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and toast. My husband had the special, eggs and pancakes. The pancakes came a golden brown, but were not cooked all the way through. We sent them back expressing they we a bit doughy in the middle. We actually were done eating when the second batch came back. They were dark brown (almost burnt) on the outside, but my husband buttered them and took a bite. These were also uncooked in the middle. When we told our server, she took them back and returned to our table with this statement from the owner " the pancakes are perfect! I've been doing this for 35 years And I know what I'm doing!" A bit bitchy I would say... I have owned a restaurant, my deceased in-laws and family, owned numerous restaurants. I can tell you this... No chef or cook can produce every meal served to perfection every time!! Impossible! I don't care how irrigant and self righteous you are. He also said " go ahead and complain on Yelp, I have more compliments than complaints, I don't care what you say!" I'm just putting this out there because I'm sure I'm not the only customer that will eat and pay for food not up to our standards. May he have 35 more years cooking sub-standard pancakes for customers who will eat whatever is placed in front of them... It just wont be this customer! I'll go to Betty Faye's were the food and service is on a much higher scale!
