"Chicago entrepreneur Trez Pugh oversees a burgeoning empire of local coffee shops with his chain Sip & Savor, which has five locations across Bronzeville, Hyde Park, South Loop, and Edgewater. A go-to for strong brews and a community-friendly atmosphere, the 47th Street location also recently became a shared space with Turner Haus Brewing, which brought a rare Black-owned taproom to the neighborhood in late 2023." - Ashok Selvam
"There are multiple outposts of this coffee shop, but the location in Bronzeville is the only one with a fenced-in patio. You can get things like lattes and cappuccinos, but you’ll also find a long list of delicious specialty drinks like their banana mocha (with espresso, steamed milk, banana syrup, and chocolate) or the iced Dreamsicle made with white mocha, orange, and whipped cream." - adrian kane, john ringor
"In addition to their Bronzeville location, Sip & Savor also has cafes in Hyde Park, Rosenwald, and Forest Park. Their drink menu includes a wide variety of lattes and mochas, as well as refreshing icy drinks like a blended espresso shake with caramel and hazelnut. If you want a light bite, they also have pastries like donuts, bagels, and croissants." - Adrian Kane
"All three locations of this coffee shop (Bronzeville, Hyde Park, and Rosenwald) are available for takeout and curbside pickup." - adrian kane
"Sip & Savor, the Black-owned coffee chain from Trez Pugh, in early May reopened its outpost in Rosenwald Courts after 10 months in stasis, according to Block Club Chicago. Pugh, who owns additional locations in Bronzeville, Hyde Park, and suburban Matteson, temporarily shut down the Rosenwald cafe in July 2021. In the meantime, he rented out the space for events, held pop-ups for other local businesses, and hosted a bi-monthly series of educational and networking events for entrepreneurs. Sip & Savor Rosenwald, 78 E. 47th Street, Open 7 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday." - Naomi Waxman
