This has been on Key Biscayne for quite a few years now, and I have never tried it before. My BF said he had when it first opened and it is like any other chain (think Little Caesars / Hungry Howie's ) - mediocre pizza at best.
Since we have been going to Casola's Pizza on 17th street in Miami for years and love it (see my previous review) , we had no reason to try Sir Pizza.
When we had to move my mother in law out of the apartment on the Key, we had 6 guys in to take out the furniture and box things up and so we looked on line to see what would be the easiest to do. Sir Pizza seemed to be the place to go and have lunch brought in. They had a variety of food and they delivered .
They opened at 10:30 am, and I called to place the order. Somehow we had looked at an old menu online and so they did not have many of things we wanted to order. So I had to hang up and look at the current menu and ask everyone again what they wanted. After I placed 1/2 the order, I was told that they did not offer delivery during the day - only at night. It would have been really helpful to have put that on the website or put that somewhere.
We would have ordered from another restaurant in that case.
We ordered a large cheese pizza, a large sausage and cheese pizza, 3 chicken breast sandwiches, a Philly cheese steak sub, tuna sub, and 1/2 lb hamburger.
The pizza was a bit overcooked, so dry on the edges, and so not very flavorful. The sausage had a bit more flavor, but I didn't like that it was crumbled sausage, not chunks or slices. And again, it was a bit overcooked.
The guys all said their subs/sandwiches were ok. Fine to fill up on, but they liked the subs made at the Winn Dixie much better. That says something right there.
The woman on the phone was pleasant and our order was ready when they said it would be. But based on our mediocre pizza and food, I would not go there again. Even if I were trapped on the Key without a car.
