Service was excellent and super homey. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. Dog friendly patio. We ended up only getting apps because it was very chilly outside. Falafel plate was great and was very fresh. The Lebanese coffee was very tasty.

Finally came here a few months ago and had such an amazing dinner. The food was so fresh and delicious and Fernando, our server, provided an incredible dining experience. Will definitely be coming back here again and also checking out their other locations.

Everything was delicious. We tried to diversify our order as much as possible, and there are still so many things I want to try when I return. Make sure to order the Fül; this is such a flavorful and well-rounded dish that I would be happy eating stand-alone as a meal. All components of the veggie combo were on point and have set a new standard for mezze for me. The staff were helpful and kind and made sure to elaborate on the dishes if we had questions.

This was a delightful little restaurant with great and attentive staff. I had the lamb chops, and shared some hummus, yogurt dip, tabbouleh, and falafels with my family. Everything was delicious! We finished our meal with some rose water bliss, which was indeed blissful. We're definitely coming back. Thank you Skaf's!

This place is such a gem. Everything was incredible. The tartare with mint was a standout, and the chicken shawarma wrap I could easily eat everyday. Our server Fernando was such a joy too. Can’t wait to go back when they’ve got Lebanese wine and beers.

Excellent! Will be back next time I am in town. Rosewater Bliss ice cream topped with crushed pistachio and a drizzle of honey. Delish.

I am so glad they open a location in Highland Park. This is great food in a cute location. The chicken shawarma is delicious. I have a listing down the street and always stop here before my open houses.

Came here a few weeks ago. We originally went to their other location I. Glendale and we're turned away because they were closing for lunch in 45 min and weren't seating anyone. I'm kinda glad they turned us away at the other location because this location is much cosier and much friendlier. The ambiance is like you are at someone's home. Our server's name was Fernando, he was the best. He made us feel do very welcomed. The food was was on point and delicious as always. Definitely coming to this location from now on. We had the lentil soup, the vegetarian platter (my favorite), the fatush salad and the chicken and beef shawarma platter. The fries and the garlic sauce were the best

Good, but the Glendale location has better food and service. If you're in the area and don't feel like driving anywhere stop by since the food is good, but overall our experience was mediocre! I guess they had a new guy cooking?? who knows. The only bonus this place has over Glendale is plenty of outside seating.

What an enjoyable place to eat what really taste like a home cooked meal. I order the falafels and fattoush salad. The falafels are tasty and flaky and the salad dressing is to die for. Very nice wait staff and great service too. Highly recommend!

This is a small Lebanese restaurant but this place definitely deserves all the stars!! The food is so fresh and everything is cooked really well. We got 3 different dips to try and I enjoyed every one! The Mouhammara is really good, definitely check it out! The Labne was a light and refreshing yogurt sip. The Jallab drink so refreshing and I loved the pine nuts. The staff are really friendly. Since this is a small establishment, we waited about 30-35 minutes to get a table but they'll give you a live waitlist.

Overall a very average experience. Based on all the rave reviews, I was expecting something that wowed us. Ordered for pickup and they were super busy. The order came out about 10 minutes after GrubHub said it would. Which is fine but the guy kept telling everyone that went to the window "a few more minutes." I waited 20 minutes which in my opinion isn't a few minutes. I don't mind waiting but I wish they would just be honest in letting us know how long as coordinating parking/drop offs is tricky in that area with limited parking. Now the food was just meh...Schwarma was really dry and the sauce it came with was good but in a tiny little portion. For what we paid, not worth it. Kinda disappointed after waiting so long to try. Glendale has better places to eat in my opinion.

Great flavor, great food. Pick up is insanely easy with the window, but street parking can be spotty on York. Spicy Garlic Potatoes - Do yourself a favor and order this! Easily the best thing that I had, and I would go back just to order this. Kefta Kabob - I usually judge a kebab place on their kefta/lula and this one was pretty good. Seasoned nicely but when I went it was a tad overdone. Not a problem, however. Shish Tawook - I always appreciate when a chicken breast is juicy. Again, seasoning on point. With a myriad of options in the area, Skaf's was great. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.

We ordered delivery from here the other day and it was fantastic! Way bigger portions than we were expecting and the food was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We got the chicken kebab with cabbage salad and the burger. We can't wait to put this in our regular rotation!

We did take out but it looks like a nice place to eat. Cabbage and fattoush salads were very fresh tasting and dressing was great. Son had kabob plate. Beef was fantastic. Rice less so. Daughter had beef shawarma wrap and it looked and tasted great. Tabbouleh and hummus were good too.

I was prepared to give this restaurant a worse rating. First, there is very limited street parking. I almost bailed on the place twice before I gave it one more shot and found a parking spot. And it wasn't a busy time. Then I walked in and wasn't acknowledged for the longest time. Again, they weren't busy. But once I got seated they took good care of me. The restaurant itself is fairly small and a bit cold. There are about 6 tables inside and maybe the same number outside. What really saved this review was the flavor of my food. I only ordered the The Classic Chicken Shawarma Wrap, but into it the flavor just burst through. There are other things on the menu I might like to try., but to be honest probably won't because of the parking.

Skaf's was founded in 1999 with the intent of sharing the culinary traditions of Zahle with the North Hollywood community by offering mouthwatering family style dishes. Their food was such a success that this family-owned business has since expanded to Glendale and Highland Park. I've driven by the HLP location numerous times and made a mental note to stop in. However, before I could pay this spot a visit PIC ordered from Doordash. In terms of delivery the food arrived at the scheduled time. PIC ordered the Lebanese Chicken Skewer ala cart, Fattoush Salad, & a side of Pita Bread. The chicken skewer came with garlic sauce. He said the chicken was moist & tender and had a nice flavor. The Pita was soft and fresh and was perfect for dipping into the garlic sauce, which was very tasty. It was creamy with just the right amount of garlic. The Fattoush Salad was loaded with thinly sliced red onions, radish, cucumber, chunks of tomatoes, romaine, and toasted pita chips tossed in a lemon & sumac vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was light and had a nice flavor. Everything in the salad was fresh and it was delicious! We both agreed that the food was very good, and we would most definitely like to dine at their sit-down restaurant located on York.

What an amazing experience. I don't know of too many Mediterranean restaurants around me, so I did some research on yelp. I came across this homely spot in eagle rock. The food was amazing and the people working there were equally amazing. Amanda and Fernando were an absolute delight.

Called ahead 40mins to place an order for four plates, waited additional 10 minutes, and the Kafta was raw. Didn't even seem like they had many orders when picked up. Additional time in the microwave confirmed the meat was underdone and not some type of coloring from the pickles. I usually order steak rare but underdone, ground, red meat is pretty risky.

Skaf's has become a favorite of mine. I've had it as catering at a birthday party, bridal shower, dine-in and to go! Every time I've had, I've been obsessed. I'm a huge fan of their hummus. It is so creamy and delicious. I can eat spoonfuls of it! Their baba ganoush is also perfect to me. I love the smokiness of it. Their chicken kebab is perfectly cooked and pairs well with their fluffy rice. The restaurant itself is cute, cozy, and intimate. If you choose to take it to go, they have a little window for you to grab your food quickly, making it an easy transaction. I would 100% come back to this place...even better, this is a great restaurant to consider for catering your next event!

Skaf's on York does an excellent job of bringing authentic arab/ Lebanese mezze and dishes to an modern vibey, yet cozy space. I was impressed by the contemporary interior featuring classic and traditional arab household kitchen items on the shelves. This is truly the next generation of Lebanese dining. FYI, the OG skaf's is in Glendale (where we originally went to) and closes for an hour during the day which we learned when we got there haha. We had no idea there was a second location in Echo Park but I'm glad we realized and got to check it out! Equally delicious food and awesome staff that treats you like family.

I rarely give 5 star but this tiny gem was a truly perfect experience! I love the low key vibe and the tiny attention to details! The place is snug between 2 restaurants on the busy York street so it is a bit hard to shine... but once inside we felt a warm ambiance with service that was not the usual fake (over the top at the end) one we get in the LA area! Joshua was genuinely interested in helping us explore the chef's delicious cuisine and didn't wince when we said we wanted to just do all the appetizers as tapas for lunch. Then started the most delicious meal from their Lebanese coffee, babaghanuj, humus with chicken shawarma , tabbouleh salad, kibbeh, mouhommara, and labne! Everything was done to perfection. I hesitate in sharing this place and hope it will keep its current vibe so we can keep enjoying this beautiful space.

Skaf's on York in Highland Park, Los Angeles, CA is a gem for Lebanese/Mediterranean cuisine enthusiasts. Their kabobs and shawarma wraps are standout dishes, complemented by delicious hummus, garlicky potatoes, and flavorful grape leaf-wrapped appetizers. While the pita bread is decent, their aunt's baklava steals the show for dessert. We're delighted they've expanded to Highland Park from their beloved Glendale and North Hollywood spots--it's always a satisfying meal at Skaf's.

Came here last Wednesday for some Lebanese cuisine. Parking is tough around this area but on this day there was many spots to park. Came to the window counter and ordered two tenderloin, kabobs, two chicken kabobs, two shrimp kabobs and the garlic potatoes. Let me say the guy at the window said 10 minutes and it came out in 10 minutes! They mean what they say. Now for the food the beef melts in your mouth with an array of flavorful spices. The shrimp had a nice marinade to it even if you gotta peel the shell off its worth the work! The chicken kabob needs work no seasoning. The potatoes are the best spicy/garlicky potatoes you will ever taste I will jog for these carbs! This is now my go to for Lebanese food.

Even though I have already given Skafs a 5 star review. It's worth repeating that the service is exceptional. Amanda, who has been there since the opening is one of the people who put hospitable into the hospitality business. Always attentive, always welcoming, always making sure every customer has what they need and always with a warm, genuine smile. We don't just love the great food, we love the people.

Skaf's is cozy, has delicious food, and has great service. Everyone there was really sweet. It was a great spot for a date! I had the Shish Tawook plate (chicken skewers) and it came with rice, garlic sauce, a great salad, and onions right off the grill. Do not miss the Rose Bliss dessert. (Vanilla ice cream infused with rose water). I cannot wait to go back!

Tough to get to because of parking on York but consistently high quality and very tasty!

SO SO AMAZING! If you're looking for a great Mediterranean place to eat this is the one! Food is so fresh and delicious. But the best! Was the Pom-berry sorbet! OMG SO GOOD! I loved this place!

Gorgeous food. Their shawarma and cabbage salad is perfection! We're lucky to have a lot of excellent middle eastern options in the neighborhood but Skaf's is truly a standout.

I was so excited to try this restaurant and when we ordered takeout, the man who handed us our order was quite rude. The meat was super dry and chewy and really was just not good sadly. Was looking forward to making this a frequent spot but the food was so bad I won't be returning. :/

I really like this place. The dips were really good, I could've eaten that and nothing else and been satisfied. I asked for half cucumbers, half pita, and they happily complied. Extras were cheap, and worth it. I went with the recommendation of the chicken Shawarma and it was really good. Staff was really friendly and attentive, but not overly so just wanted to make sure we were satisfied which was nice. Check the hours before you go. I've driven by there several times & wanted to eat there and it's been closed. I think they do more to go orders than they do sit in so if that's your thing, you should have no problem. Parking on the adjacent side streets or a couple blocks away is likely what you'll have to do but it's good because you can walk off all the food you're going to eat!!

Wow, the food is delicious and so fresh! Everything is very clean and overall ambiance is so cute and inviting. Our servers Amanda and Fernando were so kind, fast and checked on us many times. Highly recommend! What a little gem of a place! Will be coming back!

Just had an amazing time Al fresco at Skaf's. The spicy garlic fries were fresh, with good amount of garlic and spice. The green spicy sauce was on point. The mixed swarms plate did not disappoint, quite the opposite it was addictingly good. Also the Kafta Kabob place was equally amazing. They have been on 'soft opening' mode since early this year and soon will have an official full opening. So glad I discovered this new gem in the neighborhood :))))

Family recipes and freshness for the ultimate, pinnacle, perfected meal! We ordered a little taste of every meat and it was all absolutely mouthwatering and decadent with a dish of their heirloom garlic sauce recipe . Fresh mint tea and an afternoon meal on their outdoor patio with the hum of community whirling past. Fernando was the most gracious, friendly, warm and excellent host to us, this place is unforgettable and makes the top of our list in East Los Angeles ! Thank you Fernando- you made our day !

Food is perfection!! We ordered the chicken shawarma pita, vegetarian platter and a side kebab. My only question was- Do you make your pita in house like the Glendale location? I didn't get an answer and from the looks of the pita, no, but the rest makes up for it. On point flavors, textures and presentation.

Service and hospitality are two different concepts and this restaurant actually knows what hospitality is. I felt very taken care of and very attentive to. The taller gentlemen (he had a beard and long hair) and the other server (short dark hair) were just so nice. We came an hour before closing and even up until the end when they were cleaning, we were still taken care of. That being said, the food was so well prepared. There was three of us and we basically got a bunch of hot and cold appetizers and I got an a la carte skewer. I ask the taller server which one I should get and I wonder if people are turned off of lamb because he said he loved lamb but people loved the kafta. I'm sure the kafta was absolute fire but the lamb was sooooo tender and flavorful. Thank you for the experience and I cannot wait to take everyone here.

This place has great Lebanese food. we ordered the large hummus, the fried cauliflower, tabouli salad, the mixed shawarma plate, and an a-la-cart lamb skewer. The falafel is legit! Service was great too. A couple of things: 1. I wish parking was easier, got to find street parking 2. tahini sauce portions should be larger when served with falafel or other dishes 3. The addition of beer and wine would make this place even more awesome

If you're hungry you'll be glad you came to have this feast. Known as the healthiest way to eat, dig in. Fernando was our server and was genuinely proud of the place. Chow down on fresh made tubule, hummus- all house made. The Sharma plate yes please! Enough to bring home. Tahini on everything! Enjoy and pat your full belly in time for a long nap.

Let me start off my saying the service is exceptional. Everyone is so kind and genuine. Went on a Tuesday night and we didn't have to wait for a table, it's a cute little place. The food came fast and tasted so fresh. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The hummus and the kafta are a must order. I will be coming back, often!

Delicious and fresh food. The kibbeh nayeh is fresh and really rich, the hummus is tasty, the rice just fine, and the skewers are good too. I don't care much for baba ganoush but their version is really good with a smokey, rich taste. The service is friendly and attentive, too. This is a great restaurant to have in the neighborhood.

The restaurant is walk in only so we had no trouble getting a table inside as the cute terrace was somewhat hot. The tables are neatly arranged and everything looks fresh and rather new as this place opened not too long ago. Skaf is well known for its good Lebanese food and it did not disappoint at this third location. We ordered : - A large hummus, and it was served with warm pita bread. It was smooth and the combination of garlic and lemon was just right. -The babaghanoush was not too smoky and equally delicious. -The large fattoush salad could have been better with more toasted pita but the lemon and sumac vinaigrette was on point. -I did not like the lentil soup as it was too watery but the chicken and grilled lamb entree were large and served with rice and a cabbage salad. The meat pieces were moist , perfectly grilled and well seasoned. The bill was $96 for three : It is on the higher side for lunch and there are some items on the menu that I think are above the traditional price range for lebanese : Each grape leave is $2 and the kibbeh for $3.5 is above industry standards. I will come back to try other items from the menu.

Ordered a vegan falafel wrap and a chicken shawarma wrap from take out counter. Falafel were bit dry and overall wrap was just okay. My friend enjoyed their Chicken wrap that included fries and pickles inside. But pita on both wraps was thin and flimsy, fell apart easily. Would give it a 3.75

The service was amazing and fast! Quickly greeted and seated, order taken and it was just minutes and our first family style dish came out of the kitchen. Our several really seemed to take delight in what they were doing and what they were serving! Lots of love in that food! Our go to place, Aslan recently closed so we decide to come here and well, I am glad that there is an even closer place to hummus it up! Everything was really delicious and I look forward to eating my way through their menu!

Liked the lentil soup and the steak kabob was very tender. Wish the rice was more interesting. Hummus is a bit loose but liked the taste. But oh the Muhammura is a must! I put the s*¥t on everything. Little pricey for most menu items.

I love this place so much, it feels like the local family owned delicious neighborhood restaurants I grew up around. Food is so flavorful and great, no frills just good food. Service is also great for casual dining I felt very taken care of. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and this is the best babaghanouj I've ever had!

I tried this restaurant for the first time and got the classic chicken wrap. something about it made it the best wrap I ever had. I think it was the combination of the garlic spread, cucumber, and flavorful chicken that made it one of my favorites. Would go again, I hope to try their other dishes.

I am so happy this restaurant has come to my neighborhood. The best food in my neighborhood! Everything is so fresh and yummy and carefully prepared. The people are wonderful. So far I've had the chicken and the cauliflower and the falafel wraps. All were great. The baba ghanouj, hummus, and tabouli are also wonderful. Garlic sauce is yummy. And I just love to eat here. Highly recommended.

I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven. Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention. I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at! Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well
