The 13 Best Rooftop Bars & Restaurants In Atlanta

"If you’re not a guest at downtown’s Glenn Hotel, then it’ll be $5 (cash only, yikes) to get up to the SkyLounge. And a low-key scene and good drinks will make it worth it. While Reverb may have better downtown views, this rooftop gives you a panoramic outlook that stretches from Centennial Park to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. And if not for the Atlanta skyline, the chill Cali-esque vibe, hooded wicker chairs, and live music most nights could convince you you're chilling in some tropical resort rooftop. Easy listening acoustic sets combined with travel-weary hotel guests means we can relax up here—and order at the bar without someone elbowing us in the ribs. Light bites like the savory cheddar bacon and jalapeño dip are overshadowed by excellent cocktails (get the peachy Centennial) that make us forgive the ATM fee-inducing cover." - juli horsford

Google
The coolest bar with the best staff and DJ in Atlanta. It was my first time in Atlanta and I wanted to visit the Skylounge with its amazing view. DJ SeB was also there on Friday, and it was amazing!!! I didn't understand why the lounge wasn't full. I can definitely recommend the Skylounge with a clear conscience. Thank you so much!

Google
I've photographed wedding receptions and corporate events here at the SkyLounge - it's got it's own unique vibe, a sort of rooftop urban terrace garden patio feel, if that isn't too wordy. Needless to say, amazing views, facilitated by versatile windows that can open fully or close depending on the season. Great staff whenever I've visited, and uniformly excellent food and beverage options from the attached parent Glen Hotel. Ten thumbs up! IG @AlbionReid

Such a great view of the city, and relaxed atmosphere. They even offer mocktails for those of us trying to watch alcohol intake these days.

Google
Disappointing visit to a Once-Great Spot I remember when the Sky Lounge was the place to be—elegant, energetic, and full of the right vibe. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the experience we had. Whether it was just an off night or things have truly changed, I couldn’t help but notice how far the atmosphere and clientele have slipped. The energy that once defined this place felt completely absent. It’s disappointing to see a once-popular gem lose its spark. The food from the lounge and bar downstairs however was very tasty.

At the time I came it was a game going on at the dome, there were no parking spaces in the parking deck so I had to park across the street. The hotel allows parking for event purposes unless the parking attendant lied to me who knows.. to enter the rooftop portion there is a security guard and you must pay $5 in order to enter the establishment it is at the top floor so you do enter into an elevator... Upon entering the rooftop bar its designed very well! My only disappointment is they stop serving from the kitchen at 9:30 p.m. yet they close at 12:00 a.m. which I felt like was too early even though they only serve tapas. You're able to walk outside and view the scenery it is very gorgeous I highly recommend. There was also live music!

Yelp
I attended an event here this week and it was a fabulous venue. The views of the Atlanta skyline are beautiful! The outdoor balcony allows full views from the Mercedes Benz stadium to beyond the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The seating on the balcony is nice; there are 2 large decorative wicker rocking chairs. The food was good. We had samples of the pork fried rice, which was delicious, hummus on a cucumber, also good, and sushi. The service was great as the server was constantly bringing out dishes as soon as the serving platter was cleared, which was within seconds lol. This is a lovely venue for drinks, a meal, or special event. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
This bar is absolutely beautiful! They offer a great selection of wine and cocktails! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. There are plenty of parking options available. I absolutely adore the variety of wine they offer!

Yelp
Had a great time at a Yelp event hosted here tonight. The views were unmatched, the service was good and I would definitely come again. The only issue is parking.

Perched high above the city skyline, the SkyLounge provides panoramic vistas that serve as the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. Whether you're admiring the twinkling lights of the city below or gazing out at the majesty of the surrounding landscape, the views from this restaurant are truly awe-inspiring. But it's not just the scenery that makes the SkyLounge special--it's the food. The menu features a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with care and attention to detail. From succulent steaks to fresh seafood to innovative vegetarian options, there's something to suit every palate. Overall, the SkyLounge is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a dining experience that's truly out of this world. With stunning views, delicious food, and impeccable service, it's a restaurant that leaves a lasting impression on all who dine there.

Yelp
R&B night is VERY nice. A great mingle situation for sure. Menu and drinks could use an upgrade, but overall nice atmosphere and terrific scenery of the city!

Yelp
The views are worth the cover of $5! I loved the cocktail menu as I think they have classics for all pallets. Keeping it simple, but classy if you will. Didn't try any food. There was live music, and it's spacious enough that if your vibe is party, professional, or chill you can find that place!

Takisha L.

Yelp
Love love loved this every single Time!! This is a Definitely a hot spot for Atlanta

Ginger L.

Yelp
Not the most lovely place. View was nice from balcony, but there is not places to sit and enjoy it. It is standing only. There were these patio type couches that were extremely low to the ground without cushions so people we standing on them. The overall feel was not great. The floor plan was not set up nicely and it was extremely dirty. It was gross. Cocktail was okay-standard. The bar area was dirty as well. We stayed only about 10 minutes. And there was a $5 cover charge. Not worth the cover even though it was only $5. Don't know if this is typical, but will not go back to find out.

Yelp
Went to this rooftop bar for a friend's birthday and it was absolutely beautiful! We took lots of photos with downtown Atlanta as our backdrop. The drinks were strong and delicious and the servers were nice and served us quickly. I want to go back to see the sights at night!

Yelp
Flew in from LA arrived and paid $20 to go up to the lounge for a party of four, I ordered four drinks wanted to sit outside because it was super hot inside. The metal seats outside did not have any cushions they stated since it might rain they will not allow us to use the cushions. (Checked weather app 10 percent chance if rain ‍) Horrible experience, I'm embarrassed that I brought my LA friends here! Sky lounge aka go ahead and sit on the ground or on the dirty ass metal seats outside! Never again
google avatar

Yelp
This isn't really a place I come to for food (not saying their food is bad) however the vibes here are just right for a nice chill time with your friends, there's 2 outdoor area's one has less seating but with games the other side has more seating but no games cause it's more restaurant loungy on that side (you'll see what I mean) they have really great drinks and the bartenders are always sweet, my favorite part of this place is the view I love watching the sunset over here. Just imagine being lit off a few cocktails, laughing it up with your friends and seeing a beautiful view of the city

Yelp
Love love love this rooftop right in the heart of downtown.. opens at 6PM.. we had to pay $5 cover charge since there was live music this Friday evening.. the views uptop are really nice and they have nice patio seating outdoors to enjoy the city views when the weather supports it.. they have cute indoor socially distant indoor setup.. and the bartenders are amazing.. they do have the best Manhattan in town (hands down).. i also asked them for a martini and it was good so was the baileys/kahlua cocktail and the old fashioned.. we did have multiple orders of the manhattan though.. Since we were there at 6PM it wasnt as crowded with folks socially distancing and all.. but the crowd picked up when we walked out around 10.. lovely rooftop to hangout with friends and enjoy the city view.. kind of expensive but at places like these u pay for the view more than the drink!! Highly recommend to folks in Atlanta!! Cheers

Yelp
Saturday, 11/06/2020 - Sky Lounge is beautiful! We had a great time. There's is a $5.00 fee for non hotel guests. The person singing had a beautiful voice. He's very good. There's a bar. There's 2 bathrooms for men or women, 1 stall in each. The set up is beautiful here. The view of Atlanta, GA is gorgeous from above. Pros: 1) beautiful set up 2) great musician. 3) very clean: tables, chairs, cups, bathrooms, etc. 4) nice bartenders 5) people stayed their 6ft apart and masks are worn. 6) there's food you can order. 7) the view to Atlanta is beautiful! Cons: 1) I have no cons. Conclusion: this place is very cute, very clean, people nice, service good, drinks good. Great place just to hang out, laugh and have a good time. I would go here again. Our experience was great!

Mikayla M.

Yelp
Great service and great drinks! Our bartender was sweet as pie and took great care of us. The views were beautiful!

Yelp
Staff is amazing especially the kitchen manager. Recommend for all. The views are amazing and the seating area is temperature controlled.
google avatar

Yelp
We were charged $5 to enter. I didn't see an entrance fee on their website or social media. We sat a table for 15 minutes before we learned that we had to go to the bar to order. The bartenders seem to dislike their job, they had attitudes and you could tell they were gossiping about workplace drama. The view was decent, but at 6:30 on a Friday only 4 people were at the lounge. I will never return to the Sky Lounge at the Glenn for happy hour in Atlanta.
google avatar

Kristy S.

Yelp
Came here after my MBA commencement. Nice rooftop bar. It was a little hard to find at first because you have to go around back of the hotel to get there. Security checked us in to go up the elevator before they closed. Thanks, dude! LOL We got up there and it was packed, but we still had no problem getting our drinks at the bar right away. The views were they best part of it to see Downtown Atlanta. You might have to just squeeze your way to the view you want to take a picture of or wait for patrons to move/leave. :P
google avatar

Donna B.

Yelp
I love the view from rooftop bars. Discovered this one while wondering through Centennial Olympic Park and looking up at the surrounding buildings. Saw the lights and checked Yelp to see what it was- yep a rooftop bar located on top of The Glenn Hotel. So we walked over on a Friday night around 8:30pm. Through the front hotel doors turn right, then left pass the desk to the back. There's a space to check ID, and if you're not staying in the hotel, to pay a $5 charge to go up. Two cocktails ordered from the bar, $27 plus a tip. It's not a huge bar, but the view is pretty darn cool. You can walk around three sides to check out downtown Atlanta. There are only a few tables, no seats at the bar, and a couple of sectional couch seating areas. We stood at the rail in a couple of areas and took in the night lights while sipping our cocktails. Enjoyed some live music from a solo guitarist in the corner.
google avatar

Natriece S.

Yelp
Nice open bar with laidback seating. Vibe was ok but the music was great. They had a lice singer playing his guitar while humming! The margarita was good super strong but not all sugar, $12. Great views, excellent and eclectic seating choices. Good for friend groups, posh couples and people that want nice Atlanta without the club and who don't mind mixed /non black and non urban crowds. It was cool. I went alone on a selfie date night. I'd go again with or without folks.

Yelp
Came here once a few years ago and enjoyed the ambiance and live music, so I had wanted to come back since then. When I finally got the chance I was more than disappointed. Came on a Saturday night -- parking was impossible. The lot across the street had a $6 sign, but when I went to the site to pay, it was $40+! For one hour only!!! All other garages and lots were also expensive, and no street parking nearby. Decided to bite the bullet since I had already fought so much traffic just to get there. It was 11:15pm by this time, and the lounge closes at midnight. Paid the $5 / person cover knowing there wasn't much time left (I was okay with this, as it was my choice and the bouncer even stated it, which I was appreciative of because in the event I had not known I would have been glad to be informed). I emailed the day prior to find out who the live musician would be the night I went. I was told they could not tell me "who the musician playing that night" would be. That statement indicates there would be live music. There was NO live music! It didn't even appear as if equipment had been setup that night -- no trace of a musician. I paid the cover because I wanted to enjoy live music, even if only for a short period since I arrived so late. This was very frustrating. I was hoping to sit outside and enjoy the music, the view, and a drink, but the seating outside looked like it was only a half of foot off the ground (and wooden) -- not comfortable, especially in heels and a skirt. After seeing no music, and less than inviting seating I chose not to stay. Had there been music as promised, everything else would have been tolerable, but when a business is not honest every other problem seems worse. I wish they responded to my email that there would not be live music that night, and I wouldn't have wasted so much time, frustration, and $10 for the cover.
google avatar

Darnelle H.

Yelp
Atop the Glen Hotel. Some of the best rooftop views in the city. Great drinks, live music from (Kyle Bradley) look him up on Instagram & Apple Music. Negative: I had an altercation with one of the bartenders (Latino man) Though it was closing time, he literally grabbed my friend's FULL DRINK off of the table and proceeded to toss it in the trash. He was very rude and inconsiderate.
google avatar

Lynsey A.

Yelp
I've been here many times before for New Year's Eve. I would consider it a prime spot as it's close enough to see the fireworks at midnight but not directly in the crowd for the Peach drop. The view is wonderful and there is some outdoor seating. I've been there before when it was really cold and they had heaters going. They have a lot of good drink options and if you don't like alcohol, they have several juices, water or soda. The menu for finger foods could be a little more extensive. Even being packed, the bar did a good job of getting to everyone quickly. There was also a DJ playing some good music. They gave out hats, blowers and a glass of champagne on New Year's Eve. It was $10 to go up and you couldn't leave and come back. I'm not sure if that is a regular thing now. If you are staying at the hotel it is free.
google avatar

Kendall M.

Yelp
Great views!!! Went on a Friday evening. There was a singer performing. I love the openess of this rooftop bar and the performer Tyler was good as he took requests. Dont go there hungry and make sure you go to the bar to order a classic drink. The rum punch i had was missing the rum! Lol! Overall i will return for the views and the mingling.
google avatar

Yelp
Great for private events! Food is actually good as well. The staff kept the food coming so that the appetizer table was always set.

Yelp
Amazing! The lavender Collins is delicious, the view was breathtaking & the live music was wonderful. The whole vibe of this bar was something else, it was a breath of fresh air & an escape from the city.

Marty P.

Yelp
This was the worst mistake to think this would be a great opportunity to evite special friends. We only had a good time because of having great friendship their. To start of, we were swapped from our original dome to accommodate someone else. This pushed us to the very end of the line up for dinner. We had to wait over 2 and half hours to get our food and when we finally did it was terribly cold. Very small portions of left overs is what it looked like. We will never do this again nor advise anyone to go and try it out in fear of the experience we had. I have requested a refund for our lack of dinning experience we should have gotten for the price. This whole process was doomed from the beginning. Waste your money if you dare. Don't say I didn't try to warn you. Marty parker

Yelp
Drinks (5/5): I had the Centennial and I thoroughly enjoyed it! You can definitely taste the alcohol which I'm not a huge fan of but some would argue that's what you're paying for. Service (5/5): No complaints about the service here! Ambiance (4/5): This place is way too gorgeous to only receive a 3 on their reviews! I personally thought this rooftpo bar was such a beautiful view of Atlanta. Granted, the hours could be a little weird (When it rains, they close early? When we went it was just showering and they were starting to close) and the elevators are pretty slow and tiny. Not the best for big parties. Price (4/5): Expect to pay over $10 for drinks. If you're the type of person who likes their drinks to be more alcoholic I personally think they put quite a bit of alcohol in their drinks. I docked one point down just because their drinks aren't that big and I didn't think they worth more than $10 but it does taste good! I suggest pre-gaming before coming in.
google avatar

Kelsi H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my evening here. The views were spectacular, ambiance was chill, and they had a good Cabernet. It was perfect for a group of my friend friends and I to catch up and relax on a Thursday evening. The view of the city and the slight breeze you get being 11 stories up was breathtaking. However, if you're looking to eat anything besides cheese plates, smoked tuna dip (which was really good), or other appetizers, you'll have to make your way downstairs to the hotel restaurant for a more substantial menu. (Get the shrimp and grits if you do!) They'll also validate your parking for up to 3 hours if you eat at the restaurant- forgot to check on this at the bar, but it wouldn't hurt to ask! The bartender told us that there was live music on Friday and Saturday nights (usually a couple of people with an acoustic guitar) so I'll probably be back to check that out sometime soon.

Yelp
Came here for a friends bottomless brunch birthday and it was fantastic, obviously great views but the staff was fantastic and the food was great. would definitely return.

Yelp
If you want to enjoy your drinks and a great view of downtown Atlanta, go to SkyLounge. I love this place and i will definitely go back, it gets packed because I guess a lot of people love the view but it's worth it. I suggest going at night, street lights, cars and all the go-to places look amazing. The view is definitely is soothing. The BEST view. Great service. Cool, eclectic crowd.

Scott S.

Yelp
Best view in Orlando bartenders have a great attitude totally a great vibe and an ultimate date spot

Yelp
Ambiance is the key to this place with great views. Service was great. Food Okay. Great place for romance and drinks

Yelp
Very great place, night life, the view is amazing, well decorated, live music, good music, clean, good service, friendly, pay cover at night, there is a parking lot beside the building, they have some snacks, you can see the most important city building and night city lights. We will come back.

Manan S.

Yelp
Garbage place. Poor ambience, poor service, naive bartenders! No sense of enjoyment or not worth even the parking fees.
google avatar

Cindee P.

Yelp
It's not as big as I thought it would be and I hate that there are seats in front of the rail because people are in the way of good photo opps, but the view is nice. The drinks are good, but not amazing. The bartenders are friendly.
google avatar

Darius D.

Yelp
Came here to meet up with old friends and was amazed by the view and drinks. Nice atmosphere with live music many nights. The bartenders were very hospitable, and the simple ambience was perfect for night time lounging. The outdoor balcony is where you'll want your photo taken. The views of the CNN building, downtown Atlanta, and the Ferris wheel are excellent! It's at the top of the Glenn Hotel, which is an ideal choice when going to Phillips Arena and touring the Centennial Park area. The crowd that was pretty chill and the age range looked like mid 20s to early 40s. I would definitely recommend coming here for a laid back night.
google avatar

Abha S.

Yelp
Beautiful view of the city! This is on the rooftop and plenty of room to sit and stand and enjoy the scenic view of downtown Atlanta. They don't have a huge selection of drinks, but that may have been cause we were there for a private party.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for a girls night out! FOOD: N/A, didn't order any food. DRINK: This was my first time here and the bar was not completely open. They had maybe 12-15 bottles that they were working with (recently reopened due to COVID). Regardless, the moscow mule i had tasted pretty good! My friend ordered the McAllen(?) and she liked that as well. SERVICE: From the bouncer to the bartender, everyone was very nice. Something that i really liked was that the bouncer was making sure only a handful of people could be in the elevator. This was we were still socially distant. AMBIENCE: I loved the patio and even that the covered portion of the room was so spacious and spread out. You get a nice view of Atlanta downtown. I would describe the setting as slightly upscale and boujie, and i was glad i dressed up for it. I don't think it's like black tie formal (but could be!) but i definitely wouldn't come in ripped jeans and a tshirt or sweats. The one thing I would consider changing is lower the volume of the speakers. I love live music and whoever they had yesterday was amazing- but no matter where we sat or stood, i thought my eardrums were going to pop off. It was WAAY too loud. We kept moving from place to place to see where the sound wasn't that loud. Overall had a very nice time, and looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
Nice little rooftop bar. Nothing special. We went on a beautiful Sunday evening. We enjoyed a couple drinks and took a few pictures from the rooftop before having dinner at a nearby venue. Park across the street from the Glenn hotel for the closest parking. Take the elevator at the back of the restaurant to reach the rooftop top. I'm glad we went when it wasn't too crowded because seating is limited.
google avatar

Allister D.

Yelp
I think this is as best as it gets. This place displays a great view of the ATL skyline. It doesn't show everything but enough for a nice picture. Honestly, the inside of the venue could be A LOT BETTER. It's simple and looks too empty. I wish the seating could be more plush and the deck be more spacious rather than this small section. I feel like they should renovate the whole lounge. The bar is empty too! Not much to choose from. They also need a more experienced bartender who can do enough for people's requests. The bar should be upgraded to a nice upscale one. A DJ would also be great for the weekend nights! They need a better vibe here.

Yelp
If you're looking for good drinks with a great view, you have to come here! I visited the SkyLounge with my co-workers for happy hour while on a business trip in Atlanta and fell completely in love with the view. The ambiance is very nice, what you would expect from a typical rooftop bar, but there's just something super special about being in the middle of downtown with an amazing view of all the special sights. This is one of my favorite places to catch a breathtaking, open air view of the Atlanta skyline. Situated on the 10th (and top) floor of the Glenn Hotel, SkyLounge is accessible from a special lobby elevator located in the far back of the main lobby, past the main bar on the ground level. There is a nominal cover charge on weekends-about $5 cash (free on weeknights), but it's totally worth it to see the downtown skyline from a different angle. Expect this place as a high end hotel bar as drinks are quite pricey, but loved it. I had their Georgia Peach and Pomegranate Martini - both were flavorful and had the right amount of liquor in em, whereas he had their house whiskey and gin tonic which turned out great as well! Prices are ok for its location and views, wouldn't expect anything less. OVERALL, LOVE IT!!! Def will be back!!

Yelp
Good Mawnin Y'all, It's your boy, the groovy movie foodie and today I'm going to give you the scoop dish diddly on the good, the bad, and the expialidocious about Skylounge at the Glenn. Supercalifragilistically speaking of course. Let's get it on!!! The Good Good... The bartender was heavy handed with his drinks and I loved it. I had the Glen Martini which is their signature drink. There is a reasonable cover charge to go up to the roof which hands down has the most beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. Then for dessert as if the view wasn't enough, you have simply got to try the coconut cornbread cake. Only eat that bad baby warm and your tongue will slap your mouth when it's done. It's just that good. The Bad... The skylounge would have gotten 5 stars, but they have an incredibly stupid policy. The aforementioned coconut cornbread cake cannot be taken up to the roof because its considered outside food. The explanation I received is that the rooftop and the restaurant which are in the same building are under different management with different rules. If they ever change that nonsense I'll change my rating to 5 stars. ~The Expialidocious~ For the take home foodies, looking for a groovy movie to go with this dining experience, I would pair it with Scarface and a bottle of the Glenlivet because while you're up there your name is in lights and the world is yours..."El mundo es tuyo"

Yelp
Location and parking : there's a parking garage across the street which is 5$/hr, and free street parking after 10pm. but first and foremost make sure you call ahead because sometimes this rooftop bar is closed for private events . Once you are up top, it's absolutely gorgeous . Drinks : drinks are a little pricey because it comes with the view . Just had a vodka soda (9$) and other cocktails are priced between 10-15$. Service : we went on a weeknight which I recommend because on weekends they are crazy packed . We were able to get seated immediately and enjoy our drinks with a nice cool breeze . Would recommend doing atleast once , or if you are not local . If you are looking to get drunk , this is not the place . But it definitely has a classy ambience , perfect for a date night .

Yelp
I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. Our first visit - Saturday night they were closed for a private event which wasn't a big problem for us. Whatever just find somewhere else to go. So my friend and I came the following evening on Sunday and it was pretty empty to our surprise probably cause the whole city was at the Beyoncé concert. It's a very chill rooftop bar inside a hotel. Full bar with a few selections of beers which included a couple local ones for me to choose from. It's a rooftop but with cover, and so glad it's that way because you can still appreciate the ATL skyline and avoid getting wet from the rain. And I've learned when it rains, it full on pours within seconds in Atlanta. It's pretty cool being able to see the lightening strike from all around as the bar has clear view of at least 180 degrees. The bartenders were helpful when it came to picking out a beer and also cleared our table when we finished our appetizer and drinks. I'd definitely come here again.

Yelp
There are hidden gems in Georgia and this is one of them. It was only a $5 cover for a classy, small but not crowded rooftop bar (and it was a Saturday night). The photo opportunities are endless: the grass wall entrance to the rooftop city views. Drinks were great and the bass player played top hits with a lounging vibe. Parking was also easy for being in the downtown area.
