"Burgers & beer! It doesn’t get much better than that - except at Slater’s 50/50, it does get better. Slater’s has stepped up to be the best, juiciest, tastiest burger around with their signature 50% Ground Beef + 50% Ground Bacon (YES! BACON) hamburger patties. Offering over 100 craft and local beers on tap, you’ll have plenty of options to help wash down your meaty burger goodness. Prefer wine? They have no corkage fee (Yay! FREE), so feel free and bring your own preferred bottle. Located in Point Loma’s historic Liberty Station." - LESS+MORE

First off—major points for getting seated immediately. No long lines, no awkward loitering by the host stand pretending not to be starving. If you’re someone who likes to eat wings while yelling at the screen—this is your arena. The menu is like a greatest hits album of comfort food: appetizers galore, burgers for days, and enough options to spark a friendly table debate. I tried the mac and cheese balls, and let me just say—if loving them is wrong, I don’t want to be right. Crispy on the outside, gooey and glorious on the inside. I still think about them. The burger was... fine. But then I had a genius moment and added pepperoni. Suddenly it was less “okay burger” and more “whoa, why haven’t I done this before?” French fries came in hot and seasoned—not too salty, not too bland, just Goldilocks-perfect. And if you like a cold drink with your meal, they’ve got a pretty solid lineup of beers on tap. More than enough choices to pair with whatever you’re munching on. All in all, it’s the kind of place where you show up for a casual bite and end up making a core memory over mac and cheese balls. Go check it out—you won’t regret it (unless you forget to order those balls, in which case… I warned you).

I think this place speaks for itself. Plenty of great options and a great atmosphere. Occasionally taking a break for the places to pass overhead but not that bad inside. I wish that the dining experience was a little more streamlined for lunchtime but otherwise it was a great experience. The sweet potato fries and dipping sauce was phenomenal.

Suggestion to visit this restaurant was by family.... Arrived at the restaurant very excited to try something new(530ish). No hostess at front to sit people for the first 5 mins. Once at our table the waiter asked us for our drink order, my husband and I asked for a beer, water and apps. Beer came, with no water. We sat, we drank. One app arrived with another that we did not order. No water. We then ordered our main entrees. I asked for another beer and water(again) The waiter stated, 'the water will take a while.' 2nd round of beers came(same order as before), my husband's beer was incorrect and his came before mine, 20 mins later mine came, both were not in pint glasses this time, and they were dirty. Food finally came (7ish), in looking at how under cooked the burgers were, we realized we were never asked how we wanted our burgers cooked to begin with. Also asked the gentlemen who brought out our entrees for water, in which he brought it right out. We looked over the menu at the beginning and saw Google reviews and we're excited about the dessert options they had but without water for roughly and hr and a half, burgers not cooked to our liking and 3rd order of beers never making it out. We decided to take our business elsewhere. The fact that it was not super busy, great location, great weather to sit outside made this visit for these out of towners very disappointing. I can't say we would recommend it.

Everything was delicious, especially the waiters were extremely polite and helpful. The homemade tanch sauces were incredible, we liked them very much and the waiter brought 2 extra ones. It was a really kind gesture. I will definitely come again.

Google
The food was great. My wife was very impressed with her salad and said every bite tasted like a different item. The quality ingredients each had their own distinct flavor. My burger was very good too. It tastes like they use good ingredients. They put in my kid’s order first and it came out very quickly. However, about 40 minutes passed from the time my kid got her food to when we got our food. About an hour total for a burger experience without any of the bar items (we don’t drink). It may have just been a bad night for kitchen staff; I have worked in restaurants and I get it. I’d be willing to try again. My wife kept telling me how happy she was with the food.

Google
Usually love this place. Today, nope. Asked for med rare burger, we got overdone hockey pucks. The wife's was cold. I think they forgot us. The mac n cheese balls are always awesome, should have had those and left.

Google
Yummy food. My husband and I go here a lot and I love their happy hour deals and burgers. My husband got the burger of the month which was a pizza burger. He loved it but it wasn't my thing. I got a blue cheese burger with arugula. Dont remember the name of it but it was really good!

Google
Came out to try the burgers overall the experience was nice but yes there’s a but the times online says 10:30 close time so we arrived at 8 on a Friday night. And we were told they were closing at 9 so I’m like okay first red flag, second red flag it was only one server working with about five tables so I knew it was gonna be a struggle shame on the leadership to have this person out like that on a Friday. Third red flag the fry’s were refried cooked again super hard and crunchy the ketchup was a different taste but couldn’t enjoy it over the fry’s being bad. The burger was fantastic no complaints so I guess that was the only bright spot. The sweet potato fry’s was cooked right, I really wanted to like this place because of the reviews and the fact I love burgers joints but Slaters 50/50 is exactly what the name says! I guess it could go either way and the night I went well you get what I’m saying.

Yelp
Very pleased with my first experience at this establishment. We had a large party of 18 and our server was absolutely amazing. Her name was Jenna and she did a fantastic job. Appetizers were very tasty and the burgers didn't disappoint. They also have Julian cider on tap and it was the perfect match for my meal. Will definitely be going back here again.

Deborah W.

Yelp
Food: The burgers are good. Service: Maria is amazing. Treats us like friends when we come in. Ambiance: I appreciate the TV's so I can watch the games.

Bronco S.

Yelp
Oy, where to begin with this place. 1st the restaurant itself is FILTHY, we saw rodent droppings all over the place. The burgers are overpriced, & not very good. How do you ruin a burger??? They managed to do so, poor quality meat, old wilted toppings.. service at the bar was awful, bartender was more interested in her IG scrolling then taking care of guests.. JUST STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!

Amir Y.

Yelp
Came here because a friend was craving burgers and they had lots of seafood and turkey based options (our friends eat red meat, we don't) on the online menu. Screen shots attached. We're absolutely pissed and trapped when we found they don't have turkey or seafood (recent change to the menu). And we were picking up the food to take to our friend who was recovering from surgery. This was a truly disappointing experience. The only saving grace and reason this isn't lower is the chicken sandwich we ended up opting for was decent. And the hostess who helped us was at least apologetic. Regardless, this is the first and last time we come to Slater's.

Yelp
My fiance and I came here on a Friday night and it was EMPTY! (Surprisingly!) I thought it would be packed! We were seated immediately and the waitress took our orders quick! The food came out quick as well! THE VAMPIRE DIP was AMAZING! The pita chips were super crispy and I don't know what more to say but it was amazing, but if you're lactose intolerant, maybe stay away cause it has a lot of dairy. The Caesar salad was yummy as well! A little salty, but it was good and actually very filling! You can add chicken if you'd like but I didn't. Lastly, my fiancé said the smashburger was good, but wished that it was there was more flavor.

Yelp
03/02/25 - Sunday We came here for a birthday celebration. Nice location because it has a big parking lot close by. We were sat outside in the patio and there were around 14 of us. It was nice weather, but it sprinkled a little bit, but it wasn't that bad. They had a light cover, but I don't know that it would've helped if it rained harder. The only thing that kinda got to me was the sound of all the planes that kept going. It gets pretty loud. Clearly, I am getting old. lol Jojo was our server. Very friendly and she was Filipino, so she was cool right off the bat. She took our orders and made sure to keep checking on us. Great server. I finally ordered the PB&J burger, and it was the best decision I ever made. The sweet, savory and richness of everything was perfectly done. It was not crazy sweet, the peanut butter made it very rich, and the burger patty was seasoned very well. This is one of my favorite burgers now and I am glad I finally tried it. I was also able to try their chicken wings, and it was very saucy and delicious. It was a good time had with my family. Highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
Some people may want a dairy free dessert!!!!! MILKSHAKES?!?!?! GTFOHWTS. Bring back the Bacon Brownie!!!. WTF?

Kristen H.

Yelp
Came at the tail end of brunch because this was the closest spot from the park where the dog event was today. And chicken and waffles is at the top of the list? No bother hostess that's what I'm getting. Only thirteen bucks too. Idk where chicken n waffles originated, here or the South, but it seems like California can only get the waffle half right after I tried it in Florida. The chicken batter is super crispy bordering on burnt and the chicken was dry. It's alright but not the best. The waffle more than saved the day though, it has sugar granules in it that crunch and it was just awesome. They put bacon and an egg on top too. This should've been the remainder of what I ate for the day but it wasn't. I did eat it all in one sitting though. Service was kinda awkward since I came with my dogs, then returned them to my car cuz they were off the wall, then came back for takeout, and spent the rest of the time in my car with my dogs. While all the outdoor patrons who also had dogs barking just sat and stared like their dogs weren't doing the same crap. I wouldn't go back for that reason. Might've just been today cuz of the event.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday with a party of 4 for dinner. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. We were told it would be a 15min wait or we could sit right away at the bar. The restaurant was not very full but we figured it was the holidays and they probably were short staffed. We ended up choosing the bar seating as we wanted to also watch a game. We ordered a few appetizers: the frickles, Mac & cheese balls, Korean bbq wings and vampire dip. Everything came out in a timely manner. All the fried foods were just alright. I did like the dipping sauces though. The wings were decent and the vampire dip was definitely the best part. I haven't been to Slater's in probably over a decade and the vampire dip is the only thing I remember from it. We ended up also ordering the original 50/50 burger. It was savory and very tasty. Though also pretty heavy. With all the appetizers, we split the burger four ways and that was more than enough for me. I ordered a holiday cocktail called the Bugs Bunny. It was good but nothing too crazy to note. The bartender/waiter that took care of us was very friendly and helpful. Even though they were short staffed that night, she was attentive and never forgot anything. We also really appreciated that she was able to turn the volume on the tv so we could hear the game. Overall, I had a good experience here. The staff were very nice but the food was just okay. I would really only come back for the vampire dip.

Gwyneth N.

Yelp
Vampire dip was great and creamy! The cheeseburger paired w the seasoned fries, and chicken&waffles was good--but no egg being served due to bird flu, so they ask which substitution you would prefer! The decor was cute and the vibe was casual for either brunch or just drinks and a bite. The total was 60$ before tip for everything: mimosa was only 1$ w entree for weekend deal! Overall good service, would go back again.

Dustin M.

Yelp
Went with a large (10 people) group on Father's Day and was pretty disappointed. Wait time was understandable on a big day, but once we were seated they informed us that the food delivery didn't come in so no Vampire dip, onion rings or sweet potato fries were available. Not ideal, but not the end of the world either. Our burgers were good but I wouldn't recommend the grilled Caesar salad. I would say it was actually gross. Lettuce and grilled is not a good combination. We asked to be seated inside and on this night it felt like a mistake. The area we were seated looked like a plain white room. High walls with windows you can't see out of and smoke from cigarettes wafting in every few minutes from outside. From what I understand they had a large event on the other side of the restaurant and that is why we sat in such a depressing area of the place with such a lack of presence from our server. Overall, I liked the burgers, but the lack of staff, vibe and menu items make me wish we would've went to any other restaurant in the area.

Irene D.

Yelp
Calling all vampires (and foodies)! Get ready to sink your teeth into Slater's 50/50 Vampire Dip--a mouthwatering blend of roasted garlic, artichoke hearts, and creamy melted cheese served TABLESIDE . It's so good, it's scary! Whether you pour it over burgers, drizzle it on fries, or smother it on any dish you crave, this dip will elevate your meal to fang-tastic levels! The vibes here are perfect to kick back and watch your favorite sports games on the TVS that surround the place. The burgers here are seriously delicious the best in town!!!!!! If you're into poke... also highly recommended!

Dan A.

Yelp
Going during October, you have the possible opportunity to have vampire dip, fondue table side. Lucky me I got to try some.! This was very exciting although we had to wait a very long time for our order. The service was good and the staff were very helpful. The drinks were sweet, but strong. I tried their Smashburger, and it was actually very tasty. The french fries were very well seasoned and nice and crispy. The sweet potato fries are very delicious and they are currently coming with a pumpkin dip sauce, which is next level !! And you can't go wrong with the fried pickles, the honey mustard dipping sauce that comes with it is absolutely delicious. They have outside and inside dining areas, and there's plenty of parking. I would recommend eating inside during the fall and winter as it gets a little chilly at liberty station point Loma at night. There's also a giant golden hamburger you can take a picture with at the entrance !

Kimberly C.

Yelp
We came for a private event but you still have food options for the restaurant. All the food we got was amazing. I loved the vampire jalapeño rolls, would definitely get them again. The service was quick even despite being in their private room.

Mariana D.

Yelp
So disappointed with our dinner. Long, long wait for our food. Small burgers, incomplete orders, soggy fries, an additional half an hour wait for two shakes to go. We won't be back.

Cynthia D.

Yelp
I wouldn't recommend this place for brunch. The food was overly salty and low quality. The service the day we went was not great at all.

Nathalie H.

Yelp
If my kids are with me, this is a begged for stop. So many great burger options for everyone. Our go tos are the super spicy options and any burger with an egg. Brought our extended family here for a birthday outing and they loved it. Also a plus is their gluten free bun option

Ramiro H.

Yelp
Landed from Hawaii on Super Bowl Sunday and headed straight to Liberty Station, where we were seated right away and caught most of the game. The appetizers were delicious, the burger hit the spot, and the beer selection was impressive. With plenty of TVs and reasonable prices, especially compared to Hawaii, it was the perfect spot to watch the game. The location is great and I will be returning to try more of the menu

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Come here for the burgers, and to watch the game. There is a weekend brunch menu that offers special deals such as $1 mimosas and $7 bloody Mary's! However, the brunch vibes/aesthetic isn't really there. The indoor seating isn't the most comfy, and it's truly a good spot to catch the game on tv and enjoy a burger. Burgers 5/5, though a bit pricy. The burgers come with fries but you can upgrade for sweet potato fries or salad. The hi-brow burger was tasty, had a good balance of sauces and arugula, and a natural burger patty. The siracha burger was not cooked to a temperature because it had bacon mixed into the patty but it was tasty and had a good spice!

Ryan P.

Yelp
Been a couple of years since last at Slaters's. Thought the food was decent in past. Food still decent but service was far from good now. Also anything not specifically a burger and regular potato fries you won't see that until you're ready for your bill. The 4 sliders were fair except only 3 had pasties. Just too many other better choices to return.

Audrey L.

Yelp
I don't think I've been here in over 10 years but was at Liberty Station and decided to have an early dinner here. I ordered the vampire dip to start and I forgot how much I loved it! The roasted garlic and artichoke flavor together is great. I ordered the hi brow burger with caramelized onions, arugula, bacon jam, and blue cheese. It was delicious! My burger was perfect!

Trisha A.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Slater's in years; the last time I went was over 8 years ago. It wasn't very memorable honestly. So I came here with an open mind. My friend and I came here on a Thursday night around 6 pm and it wasn't busy in the slightest. There were a few groups eating, but plenty of open seating. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit and chose to sit at the high top tables facing the bar. They have a bunch of TVs surrounding the bar which is great for watching sports. On Thursday's they have $6 pints until 7 pm and you can get any of the beers they have on tap. It appears they have happy hour from 3-6 pm but we were a little too late for that. Our server was wonderful. Sadly I didn't get his name. It appeared he was the only server at the time in addition to the single bartender. We ordered the bacon Mac and cheese balls. It's not something I usually order, but I was so hungry that day and thought it was delicious. The burgers come with your choice of fries or salad. I ordered the Nashville screamin hot chicken sandwich with fries. It was actually pretty tasty. It was lightly battered which I appreciate because many other hot chicken sandwiches can be heavy on the batter. It wasn't necessarily screamin hot though. The fries were basic and I wish they were more crispy but it's okay. My friend got the bison & bacon burger with sweet potato fries. I didn't get to try it but he liked it. I did try the sweet potato fries though and it came with a pumpkin sauce. Very unique but I prefer ranch and ketchup. We both couldn't finish our food so we packaged the rest up to go. After eating our entrees, the server brought us a milkshake in a Santa cup, on the house! It was so sweet and made our day. I'm not sure if they serve exactly that on the menu, but they definitely have several milkshake options on the menu. I would come back here mainly because the server was attentive and the food was decent.

Nancy B.

Yelp
Delicious food ‼ The sweet potato fries, burger and those fried Mac & Cheese balls OH MY WORLD

LINA M.

Yelp
The last few times I've been here had to have been well over 10 years ago so I don't recall how my previous tastings were so basically this is like a new experience. Located in Liberty Station there's plenty of lot parking. The space is big with indoor and outdoor seatings. The guy host who seated us had long hair and looked like he was high and just rolled out of bed without showering. I docked a star for the table being dirty with crumbs and utensils were also dirty. I had to ask for the table to either be wiped down or move so we ended up moving instead. Otherwise the service was good. It did take awhile for someone to even come by to take our order but after that everything was fine and the food came out quickly. I was so surprised because usually I don't expect much from American foods. It's either bland or too salty there's really no in between. To my surprise every single dish ordered was delicious. I hardly say that about American foods. We ordered the original 50/50 with onion rings, 50/50 alarm with fries, pork belly grilled cheese with sweet potato fries, and the ballpark tater tots. The burgers were juicy and the spicy alarm burger has that heat you're looking for! We thought it was going to be mild heat but boy after that burger and taking bites of the grilled habanero and jalapeno it's gonna have you crying! Mind you, I'm Lao and my spice tolerance is really high so if I cried, don't do it if you can't handle it. But I loved it! The runny eggs inside the burgers were cooked perfectly. I was shocked my son's pork belly grilled cheese actually paired so good. Usually chili is pretty salty to me but this one was just perfect! The red onions and chili paired so well with the perfectly crisped tots! The onion rings were crisply delicious. The regular fries and sweet potato fries were not my thing.

Cody B.

Yelp
Wizard convention and completely understaffed for the rest of the restaurant. Served by the "bartender" who obviously only wanted to pour drinks. 20 minutes in still no water and she said sorry for the wait. I felt she was overwhelmed so I said we were leaving. On the way out like a little girl she says "Byyeeee". Dead atmosphere, horrible service, and dumpy bartender equals 1 star.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Located in Liberty Station in Point Loma. On a Friday at 1pm, there was plenty of parking in the lots and street parking. It was not busy for lunch time. We were sat right away. There is outside dining, booths, tables, and bar stool seating. A lot of TVs. Great for families and big parties. Our server was very tentative and sweet. Happy hour is Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm. For appetizers we got fried pickles and Brussels sprouts for discounted because of Happy Hour. We ordered two shakes, a fried chicken sandwhich, bacon burger, and sloppy Joe sliders. The items I tried & their ratings: Fried pickles & Brussels sprouts 10/10 Strawberry shortcake shake 9/10 Nashville hot chicken sandwhich (sweet potato fries come with a pumpkin dipping sauce) 7/10 - chicken needed more salt & the crust taste burnt or the oil it was fried in was old

Michael K.

Yelp
Chicken sandwich was like a slider not a good value for 18 bucks, but the amount of fries was decent. Also on Monday night, the boneless chicken wings is half price before 7 PM which was an excellent value, topped with a maple bourbon sauce oh man, it was so good. Service was good ambiance as well. Plan on returning specifically to try the adult mint chocolate Guinness shake and one of their burgers, hoping it is bigger than the chicken sandwich.

Chan J.

Yelp
I have only walked out of a restaurant twice in my entire life and this place was one of them. We are sat and inside it's absurdly loud with music to the point that I can't even hear my husband who is on the other side of the table. We asked to be sat outside so we could avoid the loud music to actually hear each other. At this point, we are greeted by a nice server who said he would get some waters and be back to drop off our water. The water comes and there are black particles in my water. I pick it out, and my husband being nice says, here you can drink mine there's nothing in there. My husband and I decided what we were ordering on the menu. I ordered the Lone Star Burger with onion rings my husband the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. I got a Dr. Pepper and my husband a beer. Took 15 minutes for the beer to come out and someone besides our server delivered it. We see our server running around and stop him to ask, where is the Dr. Pepper? He said he will be right out with it. Next thing that arrives is our food. Again asking where my drink is. Delivered to our table: My husband got a sad excuse for a chicken sandwich which tasted like fish and was served quite wet and for sure not fried. My onion rings were stale to the point that I didn't want to eat the rest of my food and my husband for sure didn't want to eat chicken that tasted like wet fish. Oh and finally after the nasty food, my Dr. Pepper finally arrived. I went inside to ask for a manger to find out, our server was the manager on duty. He acted as if he didn't know me initially and I let him know that my service was awful and we didn't want any of the food because of its taste and appearance. He tried to justify the food saying that's how it's supposed to be and taste as they "brine" their chicken. As someone who has been a server and a bartender in the past for a restaurant that used to brine their chicken, that's not how it's supposed to look or taste. I didn't have any interaction with anyone else besides the host who greeted us for 20 seconds, but if our server was the manager on duty and provided that bad of service, and the kitchen prepared that gross of food, I understand why this place is empty of a Friday when all the parking lots are full at lunch time. As someone that lives down the street and is a local to this area, I say stay away and make the drive a few blocks down the road to a more local place. This is a tourist trap and they know it.

Janelle P.

Yelp
We used to go here a lot before covid. Decided to try it out today, we were excited for the Vampire Dip. The Vampire Dip was probably the best dish. The burgers we ordered were okay. The menu states that the Original 50/50 burger has an egg but the server told us it would be a $2 up-charge (not stated on the menu). There is also a surcharge of 3% if you are using credit card.

Julie R.

Yelp
The service was poor and food didn't have any flavor. Took 30 minutes for the server to take our order and another 40 to receive our food. No water refills. We will not return.

Kaloni S.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to grab brunch here as our wait for Cocina 35 was over an hour. It's located at Liberty station so there is plenty of parking. We didn't have any wait and were seated right away. There is plenty of seating inside. There honestly weren't many people inside at all. Server was friendly, but seemed to be one of the only people working there. The brunch menu is pretty simple and straightforward. Food review: Chilaquiles (2/5): Super dry and lacked flavor. The only good thing about it was the egg. Definitely don't order here if Cocina 35 is around the corner. French toast: (3/5) Decent flavor, nothing memorable. Good portion. Side of bacon with the French toast was burnt and super hard. Breakfast sandwich: (4/5) The hash brown definitely saved this sandwich. The salsa was also pretty good that came in the side. Bacon almost broke my tooth is was so damn overcooked and burnt. All in all, I definitely will never get brunch here again. Also, my friend ordered a drink that took forever to arrive and in general wasn't impressive. The waiter was also the bartender and greeter for everyone else. Maybe they need more staff?? Anyway, It was worth a shot.

Shirley S.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Service was quick! nice place by the water, friendly staff! everything was finger lickin good. missing the Hi-Brow burger photo ! that was my favorite

Jiselle Y.

Yelp
Great place if you want a burger and a place to watch whatever sport is playing ! They always have a daily deal and the service a great !

Josie B.

Yelp
I rarely do this but I walked in today on my lunch break because on their website they had a good happy hour food menu and it said mom-fri open to 6pm (it was 2pm on a friday) and the bartender said none of the website info was accurate and handed me a different menu with limited options and higher prices. I just walked out, just change the website please!! it doesn't reflect the in store dining prices and wasted my time!

Janet S.

Yelp
After reading the reviews, we were expecting an amazing lunch. There was one server on the floor, but it wasn't crowded. The service was extremely slow. We needed to ask the server to refill the water glasses as she never came over to ask if we needed anything. I had a chicken sandwich which looked fascinating from the description. I chose to upgraded to the onion rings. the sandwich was good, but not outstanding. It was very messy to eat. Make sure to get lots of napkins! The onion rings had a thick batter on it and they were very tasty. We had to ask for everything including ketchup and ranch dressing. My friend had a hamburger with sweet potato fries. They were good too. They certainly have a variety from which to choose. I wish the service had been better and that the lunch had been served faster.

Yelp
The place was a rip off. 2 burgers (impossible) with fries and 2 diet cokes ended up being over $80!!!!! 3% service charge for using card is robbery! Would not show me an itemized receipt until I pressed for it. Burger was mediocre at best.

Yelp
Food is good but goddammit we been here since 7:10pm and its 8:33 and still no food smh

Yelp
The burgers were very good as was the service. And the have a deal where you get a burger, side and a beer for about the same price as just a burger. Atmosphere is pretty much a very large room and patio with large bar area with lots of TVs with sports. We decided to go here because all the restaurants by the beach had long lines and no parking. Slaters had lots of parking and no line. I would definitely come here often.

Yelp
My boyfriend's birthday was yesterday so we wanted to go to a little dinner spot, we get to slaters 50/50 , service was nice. Employees were playing super loud music in the kitchen area being noisy ,they continued to take our order food came out like 15 mins later. Tell me why half way into my burger A DIRTY BREAD ZIP TIE WAS IN MY BURGER!! I automatically y them I'm not playing for this ! They only discounted my bill by 22 dollars out of 64 btw ok! Then we ask for a lemonade to go and it had A BLACK PARTICLE IN IT !! Please go to the other slaters 50/50 to have a more pleasant experience !!!!!!!!

Yelp
TL;DR: sizeable burgers with customizations on type and number of patties. Really extensive tap selection Ordered: - Strawberry Burrata salad (4/5): the burrata was super fresh and the milkiness paired perfectly with the spring mix and honey vinaigrette - Frickles (4/5): fried pickles had a really nice crunch but the breading was a little thick for my taste - Original 50/50 (5/5): ordered this with double patties. The smokiness of the bacon was appreciated in each bite and the runny egg made everything that much more unctuous - Burger of the month (3.5/5): this was a golden burger that we substituted wagyu patties on. Although the patties themselves were delicious, the sauce that went on top was way too sweet and overpowered everything else on the plate. Definitely a novelty experience with the edible gold but not ordering again in the future Came right when they opened and luckily it wasn't a busy day so the wait staff was kind enough to let us sit and hang out well past our meal was done Overall a good dining experience and would definitely come back again! Cheers, Slaters 50/50!

Yelp
I knew I had eaten at Slater's 50/50 prior to our most recent visit this past Wednesday, but I didn't realize it had been 12 years since I first tried Slater's. We had a planned dinner with our son to meet his girlfriend for the first time and had planned to meet up at Hodad's in Ocean Beach, but there was a Farmer's Market going on and we had a tough time finding parking. We called our son immediately and revised our plans to eat dinner at Slater's instead. I had rated Slater's 3 stars twelve years ago and rated our most recent experience 3 stars again. We were bummed that we didn't get to eat at my favorite burger spot, but we were blessed to spend quality time and meet our son's beautiful, intelligent, and respectful girlfriend. Slater's is located within Liberty Station in the Point Loma area. It is located next to Sea Hive and shares the same complex as Cocina 35. La Galleria and Barracks 15 is across the street and just down the road is the Liberty Station Public Market where there are a plethora of eateries. There is an abundant amount of parking spots all over Liberty Station. As we walked to Slater's main entrance, you'll notice the large bronze burger statue. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating that consist of table, booth, and bar seating. Inside has a black and gray color scheme, there are an armada of televisions, and I liked the neon signage particularly the "Bacon. Burgers. Beer. Booze." sign. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, but we ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and it did not come out with our other appetizer. Not sure if our waitress forgot to put our order in or if the kitchen had forgotten to cook it. To say I was bummed about not eating my #1 burger of all time at Hodad's is an understatement, but we changed our plans to Slater's 50/50 because of the lack of parking in Ocean Beach and the large amount of parking at Liberty Station. We chose a burger restaurant primarily for our son as he was craving a burger. We ordered for our son and his girlfriend since they were coming after my son was done with his Final. We ordered the following: Bacon Mac N Cheese Balls, Frickles, the Original 50/50 Burger for me, Hi-Brow Burger for my wife, Smash Burger Combo for my son, and the Best Damn Cheeseburger for my son's girlfriend. The bacon n Mac cheese balls are house-made bacon mac and cheese balls breaded with panko and served with Tapatio Ranch. That was probably the best tasting item out of everything we ordered. The frickles are hand breaded & fried made "Pickles" and they come with a honey mustard dipping sauce. I'm a fried pickles connoisseur, but this version was just okay for me. I didn't try any of the other burgers, so I'll review my Original 50/50, which is what I ordered 12 years ago. The Original 50/50 is their signature 50/50 beef and bacon patty with pepper jack cheese, avocado mash, sunny-side up egg, and chipotle mayo on a brioche bun. I liked how the sunny-side up egg made the burger creamy, but I felt the taste of the burger was average and I thought the size of the burger was small for its price tag. The best part about eating at Slater's 50/50 was being able to break bread and finally getting to meet our son's girlfriend without having the stress of finding parking. Slater's 50/50 was an okay dining experience 12 years ago and nothing has changed 12 years later.

Yelp
Excellent service from Maria - very attentive and kind. Food was delicious, and the appetizers were out before we'd even ordered the rest. Ambiance was fun and comfortable for our party of 3. Looking forward to going back soon. Thanks, Slater's 50/50!

Yelp
I was looking for a restaurant to eat dinner. I looked on yelp and found this restaurant. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by staff. Staff were very helpful and polite. I ordered the bison and bacon burger with the sweet potato fries. I also ordered the bivouc blue lavender drink. The bison burger was delicious and very juicy. The bacon and the bacon jam were the perfect combination for the burger. The bivouc blue lavender drink was great . The ambiance is customer friendly.

Yelp
Went in with a large group to try the 15th Anniversary Burger. Not your Nonna's reviewed by Sam the Cooking Guy. Not on the menu. They used mozzarella instead of burrata. Bacon instead of prosciutto. And no marinara jam. The main ingredient that makes the burger unique. When asked about the jam the server had no idea. The kitchen gave her salsa to give us. 8 people in our group ordered that burger and Slaters was aware that a big group was coming in to try the burger. Obviously the kitchen was not trained or prepped. Major fail. And not cheap. French fries were rubbery and had no taste. All in all very disappointed and not worth my time or money. You gotta do better!

Yelp
We had a good experience at Slaters haven't been since before Covid. I'm a sucker for Mac n cheese so I got the Mac Daddy burger. Which the server recommended. I was not disappointed But the highlight of the evening was definitely the dessert. I had the Strawberry cheesecake milkshake it had a whole slice of cheesecake I was in heaven. The ambiance was nice little vibe.definitely going back again.

Yelp
We went to Slater's for lunch today and were impressed with the menu, which included a Brunch selection. It seems like a nice place, although we sat outside with our dog. My wife and I ordered a Great Skillet and a Classic breakfast, both listed as having 2 eggs. The waiter said that given the egg shortage and the price of eggs, there would be a $2 upcharge, which didn't seem unreasonable so we agreed. However, when the plates came out, there was only a single egg on each plate - big surprise! I pointed this out, along with the description in the menu. The waiter said if I wanted he would bring another egg, which appeared a few minutes later. My wife didn't want to push the issue and didn't ask for one. When I reviewed the bill it was pretty shocking to see the upcharge for both orders PLUS another $2 for the 'extra' egg on my plate, so I just paid. This all seems a little trivial and the waiter was doing his best, but it appears that management has made a decision to charge more for half of what's listed in the menu, which is absurd. Yes, a dozen eggs is about $2 more than it was before but we haven't had much trouble getting them near our house. That doesn't justify this approach. Which came first here - the chicken or the egg?

Yelp
Burger was great! Unfortunately our server was lacking... getting drinks out late & forgetting sides. Walked away while taking our orders to help at the hostess desk. It was a chilly night & the doors & windows were open so that made it a little uncomfortable, but they have a great array of beers to choose from!

Yelp
It's always a treat to have their signature burger. What sets them apart is the 50/50 patty (made of half beef and half bacon) and topped with an egg that is cooked over-medium. I like when the yolk drips down when I bite it! There are so many items that have bacon in it, even the ketchup and milkshakes! We had the bacon mac n cheese balls for an appetizer, followed by the burger and fries. One of their popular dishes is the Vampire Dip, which is artichokes, garlic, melted cheese in a sourdough bread bowl. Another winner is the Porkapalooza, which is a sampler of Sriracha flavored bacon (spicy), Rosemary and parmesan bacon, served with toast and BACON jam! Okay, if you are not crazy over bacon, you can have chicken lettuce wraps, Ahi tuna Nachos or a variety of flatbread (veggie or bacon) or loaded fries that are a meal by themselves. There was locations in Pasadena and Rancho Cucamonga that, sadly, have closed down after the pandemic. I was happy to go to the San Diego location and help keep them open. For drinks, there is the usual soft drinks and an impressive selection of beers on tap, can or bottle. Hip Hip Hooray for Bacon Heaven on Earth! Don't wait, head on over to your local Slater 50/50 in California, Texas, and Las Vegas to name a few. You know the drill, tell 'em Rosemary sent ya!

Yelp
Darn good burger, the beef is really tasty, the brioche bun is buttered and warmed, a nice touch. I had best damn cheeseburger, these are big burgers, and worth the cost imo, comes with fries. The fried pickles and onion rings are superb panko and crispy and so delicious, The beer selection is amazing too and nice service on Friday night. Can't wait to return.
