"Squares are part of Slice Box’s normal glass-case repertoire, which means there will often be multiple varieties waiting for a trip to the oven, whether that’s a duo of Italian meats or a tomato-free slice with mushrooms and pesto. It’s really that second bake that makes a difference—pepperoni crisps up, cheese brulees, and the crust seals in a good crunch. "Much like Dunkin Donuts and fracking, super thick Sicilian square pizza isn’t really a thing here—except at Slice Box. It’s a little spot in Sodo where you have to eat in a quiet, carpeted room filled with posters advertising gardening supplies. But when it comes to the pepperoni square, it’s so good we’d even eat it in a closet with the lights turned off. "This SoDo counter is where you go to get a slice. Get full pies here with toppings like artichoke hearts, goat cheese, and fresh walnut pesto, but it’s also a great spot for a fast and affordable lunch.
