Where To Eat At Oracle Park - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Location: Sections 103, 127, 222, 314, Blue Shield Field Club Lounge The pizza masterminds behind Tony’s in North Beach have infiltrated Oracle Park, with stalls on every level where you can get whole pies and slices. We like the pepperoni slice generously dotted with glistening curled-up cups—each slice is so big it hangs over the paper plate. It’s also one of the few dishes that won’t require a Tide Pen after some food-on-knees eating in the bleachers." - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

Slice House (by Tony Gemigniani) Review - Soma - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"We're not averse to spending money on a good meal. As is well-documented, we believe in quality, and sometimes quality costs money. But there is a line to be drawn in the sand — a rubicon that must not be crossed. On one side of the line lies "pricey but worth it," and, on the other, "simply ridiculous." Slice House (by Tony Gemigniani) crosses that line. It obliterates it. It steps over it, and continues miles deeper into the desert, where even the hardiest camels die of dehydration. There may be worse deals in town, but we've never felt so cheated as we did by the $6 slices at this supposed House of Slices (by Tony Gemigniani.) Let's answer your basic questions first: 1. Are the slices big? Sure. 2. Can you get them with cheese, or with pepperoni? Absolutely. 3. How do they rate? Just above Domino's, well below Round Table. While consuming this utterly D-grade pizza, a nonstop stream of expletives and angry exhortations rolled through our minds. Sentences like, "this is f*cking criminal," and "these slices would be a bad deal at $2," and "Tony Gemigniani is perpetrating grand larceny on the people of SF, or, at least, anyone unlucky enough to randomly wander in here and not know better." You know how Business Insider writers incessantly whine about $4 toast at The Mill? That toast is f*cking AWESOME. If anyone's looking for a true symbol of wanton Silicon Valley froth, Tony Gemigniani is serving it right up. This restaurant is genuinely offensive. Food Rundown Plain Slice A bargain at $5! Kidding, you could get two plain slices from nearly anywhere else, and the pizza would assuredly be better. Pepperoni Slice We would say the 25¢ extra for a meat topping is a deal, but we're way past anything that could be called that. Grandma Slice An extra buck for some sickly-sweet tomato sauce and a total lack of balanced flavor. Not just the worst deal of the lot, but the worst slice of the lot." - Max Child

San Francisco’s Best Pizza By The Slice - Eater SF

"San Francisco pizza teacher Tony Gemignani wrote a book called the Pizza Bible, which basically makes him a pizza deity. At this slice shop and several others across the city, his team serves very big, very high-quality slices of cheese for $5, pepperoni for $5.25., and some fun topping options like a“purple haze,” with mozzarella, purple potato, pancetta, rosemary, pesto, feta, oregano, romano, and garlic oil." - Caleb Pershan

Google
This pizza is ridiculously good! You absolutely have to come in and grab a slice! It's so delicious. The service is really friendly, and the place has a great, relaxed vibe. I definitely have to come back again.

Google
The price overall was a lil steep for pizza. $43 for 2 specialty slices, one reg, and two med drinks. But lemme tell ya the pizza was the hit. Nice and hot when ya get it, but def not overcooked. Folds perfect, perfect crust, generous marinara. Great pizza.

Yvonne

Google
Tried a slice of Detroit and Sicilian style. Good crunch and flavor. Fast service. Great little spot for a quick bite. Loved your music selection.

Eric Medeiros

Google
HOLY F the Detroit style pizza here is INCREDIBLE. It's the sauce honestly it's up to 11 😍 Also, the crunch of the crust and the flavors overall are outstanding. Stop in for a slice ASAP 🍕🍕🍕

Stacey Luethje

Google
The pizza was fantastic. We tried like all of them. The cookies were not my favorite. But we were there for pizza. They let us take our dog in which was nice since we’re traveling.

Google
You just can't beat Tony's- it's absolutely phenomenal pizza! Every damn one I've tried- but I always come back to that extra crispy, 20" pepperoni! Try their homemade ranch too- it's great.

Eduardo Hernandez

Google
I waited for an hour to get my pizza only to get delivered a cold soggy pizza. The bread was dry and uncooked the sauce was dried up like a paste and was also uncooked and the cheese was cold. They told me 15 minutes and for the 80 dollars I spent on two pizzas I expected better. They dominos 8.99 pizza would have been better and at least it would have come hot. I have been there many times before and the pizza has never looked or tasted like this. The staff forgot about my pizza and just threw it together last minute because they knew I had been waiting for a while. I wasn’t even given napkins or anything else and many people who were served before me had better quality pizza. Don’t come here and say expect the quality of the sit down restaurant.

Google
I'm usually not a fan of Hawaiian pizza, but the Hawaiian pizza was really good with the thin slices of pineapple!
google avatar

Russell B.

Yelp
A really great tasting pie. Sings of Tony's original without the Northbeach traffic. Have ordered three times and it has been consistently great. The bourbon wings are bomb. Now if only the Haight location would make a Hawaiian pie. (Don't come at me)
google avatar

Antonio A.

Yelp
You get pizza by Tony Gemignani, you're not just getting a (great) meal, you're getting a Pizza experience. Pizza as it was meant to be enjoyed, without a doubt living up to its reputation. The location on Haight has a vibe good for walk-ins or carry-out. Big thanks to Tony and his team for bringing the craft of Pizza to SF. This location in the Haight is great if you want to slide in for a slice, or get a pie. Grandma style with the sweet tomato will make your heart sing and the Margherita is a testament to pizza's beginnings. Plus the pasta is a pleasant surprise too, at the slice they do more than pizza amazingly well!

Yelp
Though we are always on the lookout for NYC style thin crust pizza, Slice House we just stumbled into, as it is tucked in underneath a ton of construction scaffolding. Once inside you'll find a brightly lit casual dining area with sturdy tables and metal chairs backed by the order counter and all the staff ready to serve you. Sometimes there is a line, other times, walk right on up, check out the slices on display ( either Detroit, Sicilian or NYC with various toppings) and place your order. Courteous service. What we ordered: 1) "Popeye" NYC slice (4.25/5) $6.50 - Spinach, Garlic, dollops of Ricotta Cheese over Mozzarella. This is the closest thing to a "white" slice I got a few times when I was in NYC. The Ricotta was the highlight especially as you fold this slice over NYC style lengthwise and consume! Nice crunch, perfect texture and fresh toppings. The only thing that holds me back from a 5 is that the dough still tasted a little too doughy for my taste.. But.. everything else was on the money, so we went back and ordered a cheese slice.. 2) Cheese slice - (4.5/5) - On point! Perfect fold, perfect crunch. Good everything.. so much so, we ordered yet another cheese slice to take home, but we wound up just eating it in the store too. Other NYC slice choices include a Meat Lover's, a slice of the day and others.. Detroit, Sicilian and Grandma's Style were also ready to go when we were there. And yes, there are burgers and whole pizzas that you can of course order also. Yep, Slice House is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Haight.

Yelp
Casual small seat-yourself pizza place. We went on a weekend and while it was busy there were tables available. We got our pizza slices within a few minutes of ordering. While the slices seemed expensive at $7/slice, they also are huge and deceptively filling.
google avatar

Lindsay S.

Yelp
Wanted to try Tony's pizza, but I there were 78 parties ahead of me when I joined the waitlist so we decided to try Slice House by Tony, which is right next door. You walk in, order your pizza and then pick it up through a window outside. Pretty efficient ordering and pickup process. Very limited seating outside, but since it is pizza, you can totally fold it and walk and eat. Huge slices of pizza dripping with meat and cheese grease. Perfect dinner time meal
google avatar

Yelp
We are so lucky Slice House is nearby! The staff are always welcoming and friendly as we stopped by close to closing time on a Sunday night. It was nice to see it busy. We have also ordered a bunch of grandma pies for a family gathering and everyone was a huge fan! This is a great accessible spot especially if you don't want to head all the way to north beach.
google avatar

Linglong Z.

Yelp
Not sure if it's the same as Tony's but the pizza taste okey, more of American pizza. Great if you don't want to wait for the long line at Tony's. The price was reasonable
google avatar

Yelp
I went in to a Tony's pizza place, world famous for his pizza, and ordered burger and fries. So good.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best Pizza Spots in all of Bay Area. He has a flagship restaurant in North beach as well which I highly recommended.

Yelp
Not much needs to be said about Tony's. I'm to the point now where I love Tony's so much I'm just starting to do reviews of everything on the menu. Honestly, my favorite pizza I've had ar Tony's is the sweet grandma pie. Something about this sweet sauce just does it for me. It's basically drinkable. It's the best pizza sauce I've ever had. If you're at Tony's get this sweet grandma pizza with the sweet sauce and tell me if I'm wrong. Hey Tony, the invitation to hangout is still open. Let me know. (4.9 Stars)
google avatar

Nini T.

Yelp
These slices were hitting! I ordered 4 different slices to try a little bit of eveything. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything in their menu. But a slice is so easy and convenient. I would honestly say their pepperoni pizza was the best! I love that they aren't shy and just like on the pepperoni! Each bite was meaty and cheesy. They were crazy busy but worth the wait! Honestly pricing was very reasonable and service was good. Super chill and easy! Loved the vibes here, I will be back forsure!
google avatar

Yelp
This is our family's favorite pizza and also a favorite at work. Our favorite is the Combo Americano and the grandma style. They have a quite a collection on different kinds of pizza that we yet still have to try out. Even though they get busy at times, they still have great customer service either on the phone or in person.
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
The best pepperoni slice I've ever had in the city, maybe even in the country. Don't pass on grabbing a jumbo 7 4 7 jet sized slice from Tony's. This place actually knows how to make pizza dough. Chef Tony clearly has taken the time to bring the proper ingredients, dough making and oven cooking to the masses with this slice shop. I'd give it an 11/10 if I could.
google avatar

Nishtha C.

Yelp
Considering that this by tony, we expected to live it and it did live it up to our expectations! We got a few of the vegetarian slices and all were great! We also tried the other location inside Oracle Park and it was as great as any other location but slightly higher priced, which is fair considering it is in the Ball Park.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by for a slice of pizza which was referred to by one of the bartenders at Murio. We ordered the Pesto Pizza and a Regular Cheese, both 10/10. For the ranch lovers, this place was really good!! There are a couple of other pizza places on the same street but I'm kinda glad that we tried Slice House first because they did not disappoint. We did have to wait for a little even though there wasn't anyone there but it was worth it. They had many staff members and the place it's self was very clean and had great aesthetic.

Yelp
On Valentine's Day, my husband and I decided to keep things simple and grabbed a bite at the local pizza spot. The place was col and the seating wasn't the most comfortable. The service was decent, and the slices were a good size, just how we like them. Personally, I enjoyed the thin crust, but found the cheese pizza a bit too salty for my taste. As for the spinach slice, it didn't quite hit the mark for us. While the mozzarella balls were tasty, the overpowering flavor of olive oil and the mediocre quality of the spinach left something to be desired. However, the neighborhood has a lively atmosphere, which added to the overall experience. If you're in the mood for pizza and happen to be passing by, you can give it a try.
google avatar

Katja K.

Yelp
Do you ever eat a pizza so good you could cry? The potato pizza (purple haze) was unreal. It hit the spot. It fulfilled my needs. It brought me so much joy. This place is close to my house and I've heard so much about it but now I understand the hype! Like, I would eat here every day if pizza was more healthy. There is lots of seating, it's in a great location right in the middle of where rock n' roll started. The pizza get warmed up for you to enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
I love pizza and it's nice to to able to grab a slice for a quick lunch or bite. Nice staff, fast service and pizza was delicious even just plain cheese pizza , it was so thin and great sauce and cheese.
google avatar

Linda H.

Yelp
Heard good things, tried the plain and pepperoni...I felt like the crust was too thin. And I like thin...this almost tasted cracker like to me. The crust was very good though. This just wasn't my jam. Nothing beats the original Tony's is North beach. Time and time again ...doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
My gf is a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur so every time we visit a city, trying the pizza is a must. After reading several reviews from different places we decided on Slice House since we were visiting Haight-Ashbury neighborhood that afternoon. We arrived at around 12 and we're able to walk directly up to the counter as there was only one person placing an order. The decor is really cool with wall paper that features images of some the greats of rocks past. You can order by the slice or pie. We decided to order slices since we wanted to try a few varieties. A nice guy took our pizza order, put them in the oven and then we moved on to another nice guy who took our order for fries, onion rings, drinks and then checked us out. Everything was ready in about 10 mins. We were able to get a table which was cool because the place is pretty small and fills up fast! Let me tell you something, the pizza here is outstanding! We ordered a grandma slice with pepperoni, meat lovers, spinach and pepperoni. The ingredients were fresh, plentiful, tasty and piping hot. The sauce on the grandmas with pepperoni had a bit of sweetness that wasn't overbearing; it was just right. The crust on every slice was perfection! The fries and onions rings were pretty big portions and fried just right! Everything about Slice House is great. When back in San Fran we'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Really good pizza, really cute dining area, and super friendly staff :) I asked for my slice heated up a bit, but not too much and they were super accommodating and friendly about it. I also loved the open windows and the decor throughout. I had a slice of the meat lovers and it was great! Nice and crispy, good amount of toppings, and the crust is super fluffy and delicious. Would definitely come again for a slice!

James S. C.

Yelp
Oh man, talk about good pizza; it was one of the best I have had. We started with a slice of pepperoni and all the meat, both NY style. We thought they were so good. I told my wife we had to order a whole pizza and take it with us. We decided on the Picante-Grandma style. It did not disappoint. Fantastic pizza and friendly service. Was it pricey, I don't think so. I mean, these days, what isn't? Try it out; it is the bomb.
google avatar

Yelp
As someone who has worked in the hospitality field for over 20 years, I take my food very seriously! My husband has figured this out and decided that I need to try this place. So what does the husband do? He stops in for slice of pizza and he's wowed by the experience he brings home the empty box now you can imagine my surprise when he walks in with an empty pizza box and I say to myself, this must be an awfully good pizza if he drove all the way home with this empty pizza box, just to show me, so I decided to give it a try and this place did not disappoint. New York style crust, quality ingredients, super friendly service and very very reasonably priced. I will continue to support this place. I'm sorry, but my go to Goat Hill Pizza, will have to be placed on the back burner for now because I am in love with Slice House. I couldn't really give you much info on ambience because I have not had the chance to Diamond yet. I've only had delivery, but I can tell you if you want a good quality pizza with good quality ingredients and great customer service this place is for you they take their crap very seriously!!
google avatar

Andrew A.

Yelp
Probably one of the best NY-style pizza spots on the west coast. As someone from NJ, I tend to be pretty picky on my pizza. But this place is the real deal. Is it a bit pricier than what I'd pay in NYC? Sure. But then again, it's cheaper and better than getting pizza shipped over here from NYC. Expect a line, but it moves pretty fast. Have gotten a few times already and will absolutely be back.
google avatar

Thien H.

Yelp
I've ordered takeout from here at least 20-30 times. They are usually very quick, pizza is often ready in about 20 minutes. I recommend trying all their different crusts. I think I like the regular and the Sicilian doughs the best. My favorite pizza combos/toppings are the Wise Guy and Purple Haze. It's owned by Tony Gemignani the same guy who owns multiple pizza joints including the famous Tony's in North Beach. It's much easier for me to get pizza from this location though. The last time I ordered a pizza, they didn't do a great job on spreading out the toppings towards the edge of the crust. The plain crust was 2.5 inches wide in some parts which was too much. The only thing I don't like is probably the calzone which I tried once, but I'm not a calzone person because why would you get a calzone when you can get a pizza? I've also tried their pasta (good!), salad (okay maybe not worth the price), and garlic rosemary fries. The fries are that wet batter type and are tasty. But they can get a bit soggy if they fry them too early compared to the rest of the food in your order. The hot fries steam inside the plastic container so I have had to reheat them in the toaster oven 2 out of 2 times.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from this pizzeria several times. I've tried the Meat Lovers, Cal Italia, and The Genoa. The crust was good, had enough softness and chewiness and not soggy, every time. The Meat Lovers was a solid choice. The Cal Italia was deliciously sweet and savory. The Genoa was my least favorite-I didn't think it had much flavor and it wasn't very exciting. Overall, the pizza was good but pricey.
google avatar

Gianna B.

Yelp
In my opinion, it's so hard to find good pizza on the west coast. However, Tony definitely knows what he's doing! Their slices are to die for; crispy, saucy, gooey, everything you want in a slice of pizza. The service was helpful & the ambiance had me feeling like I was at a pizza spot in New York. We ordered the sweet Gino, sweet Gino with pepperoni, & the Popeyes slice. All were delicious & had us wanting more. We even ordered some fresh baked cookies that were gooey & delicious as well as house made lemonade. We will definitely be back for more.
google avatar

Yarn Y.

Yelp
Solid pizza slice joint . Does remind me of the NY slice shops, in a good way. We got three slices to try - 1) purple haze (white pizza, no tomato sauce ) 2) grandma style 3) margarita (I think ) All three were perfectly made , great crust and crisp , good balance w the sauce. We'll come back for sure , and would love to try the Detroit style and the calzone in particular
google avatar

Nora F.

Yelp
Hell yes I would order from here again! Slice House has become my go to pizza spot for when I need a comfort food kick. I'll drive from my side of the city to the Haight just to get their pizza. I love the different varieties - my faves are the Purple Haze, Purple Potato, and you can't go wrong with the classic pepperoni!
google avatar

Joseph A.

Yelp
Slice House is a nice low key Pizza joint in the Haight that makes a decent Pie. I'd expected parking issues, But, there was a spot right in front of the shop, The Parking Gods Shined On Me. As for my pickup it was painless due to my ordering via DoorDash which allowed me to know when my Pizza was ready. My order, a 13" Paesano which is topped with pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms, oregano, Romano & garlic oil. Omfg oh so good. overall a good experience, but pizza is easy to make if you have the dough, I'll need to pick up a few balls this week.
google avatar

Kim I.

Yelp
This pizza hit the spot! It's open later and the slices are ginormous. I really enjoyed the all meats & pepperoni slices. We just had shots of whiskey from the bar down the street and were starving. Service was fast, easy, and delicious. I would def come back!
google avatar

Bradley H.

Yelp
This place is just down the block and I can believe i haven't been here before. Sweet Gino w Pepperoni is pretty awesome and I love the Detroit style pizza...small slices that you can eat for multiple meals. The regular pie style pizzas aren't a slouch on flavor either, and my 7 year old daughter has eaten a whole slice herself in one sitting. For about $6-7 per slice, its a good deal w great flavors! Happy eating!
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
YES, this pizza by the slice is the best in the area. Quality is top notch, fast, and good value. The staff is wonderful, and somehow manage to make the experience great w/ kids in tow, on multiple occasions (seriously, who expects service at a pizza-by-the-slice?). Worth a multi-block detour to grab a bite!

Tyra K.

Yelp
The pizza here is the best in SF. I could just eat an entire one by myself. We got the americano and I'm sure there are other good pizzas here but I can't stay away from it or make myself try something new because it was too good.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Tony, the Pizza God, sure knows how to make pizza! Great pit stop for a quick slice with a unique style & great flavor that makes me not miss New York. (To be fair, it's not the same style as NYC slices, but every bit as good in quality as any place you'll find anywhere else). Staff was friendly & it was nice & warm inside, which was welcome after playing basketball past sunset & getting chilly. The pizza crust had a nice chewy crispness to it with some cornmeal on the bottom. Sauce was delicious, as was the perfectly browned cheese. Come here if you want a big, tasty slice of pizza!
google avatar

Miles S.

Yelp
Legendary stop on Haight definitely recommend this spot. Ingredients fresh as hell bruh and the ambiance remind me of a east coast pizza shop. Definitely worth a stop, stay eatin!
google avatar

Carrie Z.

Yelp
Great slices! It's pretty bare bones inside, but they keep the condiments stocked. I had a meat lovers slice. I wish I had asked for well-done, with a little extra bake on the crust. Prices are a bit inflated compared to the menu. Maybe a 5% health mandate? Still, it's one of my favorite pizza places in town!
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
Alright... Pizza Review Time!! We are here in San Francisco near the corner of the famous Haight and Ashbury at Slice House. One bite everyone knows the rules... Really good undercarriage with a minimal flop. It's has some crunch and crisp that you want in a NY Slice. Great sauce to cheese ratio!! Didn't realize this is from the owner of Tony's Pizza in Little Italy. I'm telling this man knows how to make pizza. Also had a slice of their Detroit pizza and that was delicious too
google avatar

Tony G.

Yelp
Went here after work on Thursday. Looked at the menu online and decided on onion rings and the picante pizza. Tried to order through yelp but didn't see onion rings available, figured I would just ask there. Welcomed in and the guys behind the counter were super friendly and chill, struck up a convo about music. Ordered the pizza and onion rings (yay) at the counter and dude said it would be about 25 minutes. No problem chilled at mad dog in the fog for a bit (also 5 stars) Got home and ate some great pizza! Ricotta and chorizo tasted great together with the banana peppers. I will be back and only wish I tried this place sooner.
google avatar

Rich D.

Yelp
I love slice house especially their Detroit style Pizza and meatballs and have ordered from their various locations. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the lack of gravy in my Ubereats order. Here is what I was expecting, here was what I got.
google avatar

Alice S.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with a slice of Tony's pizza! I've waited hours to dine at the North Beach location, and luckily this less crowded hole-in-the-wall spot is just as great! I ordered the 20 inch Purple Haze pizza to go, and it was absolutely delicious! Toppings included mozzarella, romano, purple potato, pancetta, pesto, rosemary, oregano, and feta. You can also request customizations to add/remove specific toppings. The toppings were tasty and flavor packed, the pesto had a slightly sweet undertone that surprisingly complemented everything very well, and the pizza dough was perfectly chewy and airy. You can also purchase pizza by the slice here, which is why the pizza here is cut up in a way that each slice is enormous - approximately the size of ~2-2.5 slices at most other pizza spots. For reference, I was starving and just barely finished 2 huge slices. The 20 inch is definitely large enough to feed 4 hungry adults.
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
So so delicious - I don't usually order pizza takeout/delivery but ever since I tried this spot, it's my go-to
google avatar

Nathalee M.

Yelp
Good pizza. Ordered through Uber Eats for pickup. Thin pizza and nicely toasted, we really enjoyed it.

Yelp
If calories didn't count and I was forced to eat one of the same item every single day - I would choose pizza. SF now has more and more good slice spots in the mix - but this is no NYC, with a great slice every 4 blocks. I travelled to the Haight today for a slice - Detroit style, and it did not disappoint. The combo flavor of the day had meatballs (my fav) and pepperoni (always a great choice, despite the heartburn it inflicts). I asked for a corner piece (for maximum cheesy-edge), and they happily obliged. I thought the slices were 4" x 4" - but they are double that, equaling a whopping 8" x 4" - I contemplated eating half and saving half, but didn't really want to schlep my 1/2 slice all over town today before I got home - so I put on my big girl panties and ate the whole thing. MAN - that is a GREAT slice, minor quibble is that I wish it had been heated all the way to burning- the-roof-of-my-mouth-temperature, next time - I'll ask. YUM, and Done. - Next time - I will bring a tupperware for the 2nd half... Sadly - I did not take a photo.

Yelp
The pizza is fine. It's probably on the better side of decent, so if I were basing my rating solely on the pizza itself, it would be a solid three stars. I first came here in 2016, however, and way back then, I was instantly struck by how much time, effort, and--yes--money they had put into this place's interior. Look, I like a well executed interior as much as the next guy, but I also live in one of America's most expensive cities and near some of said city's most famous tourist attractions, so when I see a business in a touristy area go all out on its theme, I assume I'll be paying through the nose for all that eye-grabbing attractiveness, and even in 2016, I most definitely was. The full-size pizza prices were utterly and completely and wholly and solely and ubiquitously overpriced, and I'm being generous when I use that word. Highway robbery was more the spirit, and that was then. I can't even imagine how the fake supply-chain issues and fake food-sourcing issues have "driven up" the prices here. Seven years ago, slices were $6 a pop. Again, ridiculous. I don't want to look at a current menu, because I probably won't be returning. If you're in the Upper Haight and want a slice of pizza, go to Escape from New York instead. Their prices are ridiculous as well, but their slices are huge, and the pizza is much better. Plus the interior is more authentic and grittier than Slice House's fake-toughish-guy decorations.

Yelp
Great slices especially the Detroit style. I'm from Detroit and SHH has one the best I've ever had. Friendly quick service. Minus one star for no public restroom.

Yelp
Located near corner of Haight and Ashbury, really big slices and the crust is crispy. They have Detroit style too! Workers are really friendly. Ambiance is rustic with hints of typical HA vibe. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Big perfect slices of pepperoni pizza. Doesn't need anything else added to it. Delicious. Great price. What more can I say?

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick bite to eat. The pizza slice I had was delicious and big. It was a thick crust Bucatini pepperoni slice with fresh mozzarella. It was so good, I failed to take a photo. Sorry folks!

Yelp
Slice House is my favorite pizza place in SF, and Haight is my favorite location. I try to come here whenever I'm hungry in the area, especially ever since Pizza Rock by Tony Gemignani closed down in Sacramento. My #1 favorite slice, which is only sold at this location, is the Purple Haze, which comes with mozzarella, romano, feta, pancetta, drizzled pesto, sliced purple potatoes, oregano, rosemary, and garlic oil. While the pizza is delicious by itself, I like it even better sprinkled in crushed red peppers and parm, and dipped in Tony's hot pepper olive oil, which I'm obsessed with. Another one of my favorite pizzas I've tried here was the fried chicken Sicilian of the day. I don't know all of the ingredients, but going by my picture, it came with mozzarella, romano, Alfredo sauce, fried chicken, bacon, chives, and cherry tomatoes. As you can guess by the name, the Sicilian of the Day changes every day. There's also usually at least one vegetarian option. Pro tip: Tony's hot pepper oil and Pizza Bible are both sold on Amazon.
