"Debuting in 2020 in a historic building turned modern bistro whose gracious outdoor garden serves as its main seating area, the restaurant gives Old Town Temecula an elevated dining option where locals and visitors can brunch on weekends and partake in a sophisticated, global dinner menu that includes Kumiai oysters with strawberry-cucumber mignonette, Asian-style whole sea bass served with herbs and organic greens, and harissa-rubbed hanger steak. The wine list includes several selections produced by Small Barn owners Dan and Cathy Gibson." - Candice Woo

We hosted our wedding rehearsal brunch at Small Barn and couldn’t have been happier! The food, service and ambiance were all amazing. We were absolutely stuffed from the delicious spread of food served and our server kept our champagne glasses topped all morning. We had the best time with our guests and can’t wait to go back to enjoy a meal for just us two. Thank you Small Barn for an unforgettable brunch with our family and friends!

Google
Incredible dinner at Small Barn! Loved sitting on the dog friendly outdoor patio, felt magical during the night. For wine we had the brut and the rose. We started with the crispy Brussels which we absolutely loved, especially how it paired with the pork belly. For entrees we had the pistachio lamb chops and the harissa rubbed hangar steak. The service was fantastic, friendly and quick. Definitely recommend, good to have a reservation if you don’t want to wait.

Super cute and cozy outdoor area with 2 fireplaces. I just wanted to sit out there all night and sip my drink! The staff were all nice and friendly. The food was very delicious and everything had a nice presentation. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Google
Loved it. First try, Thanksgiving. Everything was awesome. Didn’t know we could bring the dog on the patio. Will do next time. Looking forward to trying other stuff of the menu. Turkey was great. Short ribs were outstanding. Ahi appetizer and pumpkin soup were great too. Highly recommended.

Google
Ahi starter - 5/5, well balanced and high quality. Fall seasonal salad with pears 3/5, overly sweet and a bit one dimensional. Steak frites - 4/5, good quality but under seasoned and slightly over cooked from what was requested. Overall a nice place and good service, though.

Google
This place has the best food, best atmosphere. Came on a Saturday and got right in. The manager was sweet as always. 10/10. Would come back every day if I could!!!!!

Google
We love this place and have eaten here many times. But this review is specifically for our server, SELENA F. Not only is she lovely, but she really made us feel comfortable and was extra patient with our kids. My three year old brought her Minnie Mouse play credit card because she wanted to pay for my birthday dinner. My husband gave Selena a heads up when we sat, and she played along SO well. My daughter was beaming. She felt so special. Thank you, Selena!!

Google
This place was pretty cool. It's a modern bestow with a rustic look. The food is very good I recommend getting the burger and fries. The manager came over a few times just to check on us to see if everything was okay. I wanted to try the chocolate chip cookies but I was too full. Only thing I can say to help out would be that the sign in front blends in so good that don't really see it. I do like the water glasses they are cut wine bottles

Yelp
Let me start by saying I never wanted to eat here. As we have spent three years exploring Temecula eateries, this final Old Town restaurant was at the bottom of our list. The outside seating appeared uncomfortable and the hostess stand seemed prissy. I WAS WRONG! Food: Delicious! We split the "Whole Sea Bass" made for two. It was perfectly priced and curated. Many people around us had it and also loved it. So many unique flavors blended together in such a creative manner. Ambiance: comfortable, hip, and normal. We chose to sit inside where we learned that the structure is a historically preserved gas station from original Temecula. Certainly didn't feel that way, yet there classy photos inside to share the story. Outside we observed people comfortably and warmly sitting at fire pits despite the chilly weather. Service: prompt, not rushed. Friendly and informative. Price: fair

Yelp
Small barn has great food but at a somewhat steep price. We stopped in after doing a tasting in Temecula for dinner. We ordered the burger and braised short ribs. While both were great, I didn't feel like the price of each dish really matched up to what we got, especially in a smaller town like Temecula. Despite this, the food is really good and I'll still stop in next time I'm in town!

Yelp
I am sad to write this review because I wanted to find a new, fun restaurant with good service and food. First off, we were never greeted. Secondly, the table was dirty and full of leaves when seated. Although they cleaned the table for us, we were served with room-temperature water from a dated-looking glass wine bottle: no bread, no extras, only water. When we ordered our food, the waitress couldn't be bothered by telling us about any specials or recommendations. When it was clear we were not ordering alcohol, we were ghosted. Only five other tables were being served at this time. A bus person brought us our food; our server could not be bothered. The portion size was less than an appetizer size, and neither dish was that good for the required prices. I had the short ribs, and my wife had the salmon. My wife said I cooked a better salmon from frozen at Costco. My short ribs were cooked well, but there was no sauce, which was under-seasoned. The waitress brought us our check very quickly and ghosted us again. The table beside us was ordering alcohol, and the waitress chatted them up a storm. They even talked about how great the drinks were and brought them beer samples. I would never return to this restaurant due to the poor service, lack of food quality, and just plain disrespect from the wait staff because we didn't order alcohol. There are so many better restaurants in the Temecula area. We just tried this place in the hopes that we would find a new favorite restaurant. The prices are overpriced, and the food quality does not compensate for the amount of food charged. I don't know how this restaurant stays in business, but there seem to be a lot of out-of-town tourists during this time of the year. We were seated next to a group of 12 people, which was a group of families. They had multiple small children and older grandparents. When we were leaving, I could see the family parents looking at the menu, obviously confused because there were no children's dishes. I felt sorry because they were in for lousy service, food, and retinyl portions. I have reviewed many restaurants in Riverside County/San Diego and Orange County. This restaurant has to be one of the top three worst restaurants I have encountered in the last four years of yelping. I hope this restaurant's owners will consider my review and start providing quality food and service to patrons who are expected to pay ridiculously high food prices. If it helps the owner to correct the server and cook (they do not deserve the chef title) this night, we had a reservation on 1-2-25 at 530 p.m. Our waitress (if it could be called that) was a female in her 20s, approximately 24 years old, about 5-5, with dark hair. She never offered her name. Pro Tip: do yourself a favor and visit Zen Curry in Temecula or Hana Sushi in Murritea. They are the only restaurants in the area that care about service and food quality.

Yelp
I had a lovely dining experience at Small Barn in Old Town Temecula! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a charming blend of rustic and modern vibes that fits perfectly with the Old Town setting. I ordered the pesto chicken and a burger, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The pesto chicken was packed with flavor, and the burger was juicy and cooked just right--clearly made with quality ingredients. The menu offers a nice variety, and everything looked tempting. Parking is mainly street parking, which can get a little busy during peak times, but I didn't have too much trouble finding a spot. The service was decent--not overly attentive but friendly enough and efficient. Overall, Small Barn is a great spot for a casual yet memorable meal. It's worth a visit if you're in Old Town Temecula!

Yelp
This was a great find. We were staying at the hotsprings and looking for a good place to eat for our group. The restaurant is located in historic old town Temecula right on the corner. Our server was wonderful, and our pre food cocktails were delightful. We started with the carrot bisque, and the artichokes. The soup was delicious, and perfect for a cold evening. The artichokes had a great flavor profile but unfortunately were under clooked and waterlogged. We then ordered family style the whole sea bass, tomahawk, and shortrib . The shortrib was perfectly cooked, fall off the bone tender and delicious. The tomahawk was perfectly cooked and delicious. The sea bass was amazing it was steamed in a banana leaf served with pickled veg and eaten like a lettuce wrap. All together I definitely recommend eating here .

Yelp
I just celebrated my birthday dinner here with my now fiance. The ambiance was beautiful, romantic, and warm, even though it was cold since we decided to sit outside. Therefore, thanks to the heater and after a few drinks, the cold did not matter. To start, we ordered one free spirit mezcal drink, one Jalisco serenade drink, and the grilled artichokes. We both enjoyed the drinks, and I enjoyed the grilled artichokes however, my fiance had never eaten artichokes the way they were served and was not a fan. Next, our main dishes were the steak frites, which we also both enjoyed. Afterward, we ordered another round of drinks, and my birthday treat was brought. Overall, the food was delicious, and we will be returning to try the brunch. Small Barn is a restaurant that instantly serves water without having to be asked, which is truly appreciated!

Yelp
Small, intimate and cozy we loved our experience at Small Barn! The baked feta was my favorite, but we sampled the burger, quiche, ahi tuna, and avocado toast. The four of us split the butter cake and it was absolutely divine. We can't wait until we go back to Temecula and visit again!

Yelp
I really wish they would open before 4pm on weekdays. Weekdays are about the only time you can get near Old Town for anything without parking two miles away and walking in. I know I would do more breakfast there if they wouldn't just open weekends for breakfast or lunch.

Ranae B.

Yelp
Went here for hubby's birthday and it was a wonderful evening. The service and Cadillac Margarita with Teramania Tequila were excellent. The beet appetizer was shockingly tasty because I always hated beets growing up. The whole Baja Sea Bass for 2 was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A must-have. We will be back soon.

Yelp
Food, Service and ambience are ok. Nice and cute place to have a small gathering there.

Yelp
Such a cute place! I came to Temecula for a wedding, and a friend said she dined here the previous day. She said with each bite, it got better and better. Hmm... I never heard those kind words before. So even though we had a whole city to explore, we took her word for it. First impressions- super cute! The host was so friendly. Chipper and welcoming. Sat us at a cute small table. Our server was also great. Fast and knowledgeable. The manager came and introduced himself as well. I love that he was walking around every table to make sure everyone was happy. :) The food ... yes- it's delicious. Oddly enough, I love the sunny side up eggs the most. Not sure if they have chickens in the back or something.. but it was different! I do recommend getting the ice coffee cold brew. Would love to come back here each time we're in town. Thanks for the great vibes and food.

Yelp
We made a reservation. And thank goodness I made it for the inside of the restaurant because this particular evening it was 92° This place is centrally located. It's in the downtown area right on the corner parking can be a challenge. You just have to look for it. We ended up parking about three blocks away just on the side street but enjoyed the walk and the shopping. This is a very friendly property. They've got wonderful wines from everywhere mainly other places, other than Temecula. We enjoyed the grilled salmon, With the assortment of mushrooms and the Aji tuna appetizer so good. This restaurant is so cute. It's great for a date or a girls night out or a family plenty of outdoor singing nice on the inside we had a booth.

Errin S.

Yelp
Can't beat the atmosphere of the outdoor seating. Green vines running up the pergola, sun shades draped across the top, and space heaters intentionally placed around the area to keep everyone warm but not too hot. The eclectic patio furniture adds the backyard barn feel, and the menu follows suit. Friendly staff seated us quickly, and asked if we wanted to sit indoors or outdoors. Outside was quite pleasant in the shade. From mimosas with locally made sparkling wine and fresh squeezed orange juice, to fresh greens and baked goods. Even the entrees with fresh fish or meats seemed to be quite seasonal. My wife ordered the quiche, because, who doesn't like quiche! But then almost changed her order after she realized it was completely egg-less. Luckily she went with it, and we were delighted with how good it was! I'd never know it was egg-less! Overall this is a great find!

Yelp
Went here on a whim for dinner and LOVED it! Whenever I eat out I usually know exactly what I want to order, but my friend and I took some time to look over the menu 'cause we wanted to order everything hahaha. We felt lucky to go there on a Sunday evening and got to enjoy the restaurant with out stepping over people on, say, a busy Friday or Saturday. The ambiance for dinner was so pretty and quaint. Our waitress was awesome. And we absolutely loved every single dish we ordered. Their broiled feta- amazing. Their seared scallops- amazing. Their ube panna cotta- amazing! Loved it so much, I even considered grabbing breakfast to go the next day as I was leaving, but they were closed, unfortunately.

Yelp
I love it. I order the sea bass fish and it was delicious!!! I love how beautiful everything looks. Please keep it that way. The service was kind and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and made reservations again for my husband and I.

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a while and I'm glad I finally got to try it out. I am very impressed with the food. I ordered the pomme frites with aioli which is delicious, Ube French toast and steak and eggs to share with my family. My youngest son loved the French toast so much he wanted to place another order of it. My oldest really enjoyed the steak. I thought the steak and eggs were just ok. It came with house potatoes and toast. Their brunch menu ends at 3pm. Next time I want to try their steak frites from their dinner menu. They do have a kids menu but it's not printed. You just have to ask your server. My kids ordered a cheeseburger and grilled chicken from the kids menu. Items off the kids menu come with fries. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the grilled chicken tasted from the kids menu. My husband ordered the barn burger which I took a bite of and thought it was ok. There is cozy seating inside and outside. The decor is neutral and modern. This place is located in downtown Temecula so parking might be hard to find during busy times like weekends, Friday evening and holidays. We came at 2pm and parked near a shop we planned to shop at and just walked to small barn. If you are in the area, I'd recommend checking this place out. Good food and good vibes.

Monica R.

Yelp
Soon we arrived in Temecula, my husband, a friend and I walked in the Main Street, very cool, and went to this place for a brunch. Really relaxing, nice restaurant. The service is very friendly, and the food is excellent! My quiche was delicious and in the different way. My husband got a ube French toast. The price is reasonable, according Los Angeles. They have wine from the region, which was flavorful. High recommended this restaurant.

Cindy B.

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant to bring a date or to have a girl's outing or just for any occasion. The ambiance outside is beautiful. The staff are friendly. The food is incredible. My friend and I came here for dinner on a weekday, not busy at all. Would highly recommend to make a reservation for the weekend though. For starters, we both got the curry soup. It hit the spot on a cold chilly night. Flavorful and there was nuts and apples that paired perfectly with the soup. For the entree, we shared the pumpkin agnolotti. Stuffed pumpkin ravioli with nuts and bacon pieces. Delicious! So delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it. For dessert, we wanted to try the corn brûlée but sadly they were sold out of it. We decided to try the butter cake and it was beautiful and perfectly baked. Very slightly crispy on the outside and soft and moist in the middle. The sauce was great pairing. It is expensive to eat here but the quality and taste of the food is definitely worth it! Once in a while won't hurt the bank. I recommend this spot. I want to try their brunch next time, so I'll definitely be returning!

Laura J.

Yelp
LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!! The food is amazing. I LOVED the bowl with the different pastries and the vanilla bean syrup. I would come back just for this. So unique and a really good portion size too. All of the food was really yummy. Our waitress was really sweet too. The place is overall super cute and a really good brunch spot. I will def be coming back next time I'm in town. I love that darn pastry and fruit bowl!!!!

James P.

Yelp
First of all the service was spectacular. Our waitress was Nicole. Anyone who has even seen this place from the street can attest to the ambiance being very cozy and suitable for a daytime lunch or brunch. And the food was awesome and of high quality. I had the eggs benedict and it was one of the best ones I've ever had, probably on par, with the Turkish one I used to order at a cafe in Hollywoodland when I lived around there.

Liza K.

Yelp
The ambiance on the patio was lovely! We had a large group and got seated immediately in a shady spot in their garden patio. The service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious and very filling. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it came with lots of little pickled items, I prefer my bloody Mary's tart and theirs definitely had a lot of citrus. The Benedict was excellent, the ham was very thick which could be good or bad depending on the person. I would definitely come back for brunch if I find myself in the area again!

Terry K.

Yelp
So we had by BFF's birthday dinner here. Here is my story: Yup; barnyard decor for sure. Got to love the ambiance. There are a few tables inside... Not in the "Barn" proper but I don't thing it's as fun as dining in the barn. My favorite dish of the many we ordered was the FISH!. It was a whole fish, steamed first then fried I think. The meat was so very moist and the skin was grilled or fried to perfection. The texture combination was so very delightful We also had hamachi crudo, fried brussel sprouts, spinach salad, cioppino and a couple other dishes. All dishes were tasty and well presented You can bring your own wine (BYOB) for a $20 corkage fee. Only street parking available so plan accordingly.

Lyn V.

Yelp
I thought I already reviewed this place but I guess didn't. Second time here. First time I came here during lunch time and we sat inside. Outside was really cute but was too windy otherwise it would've been cute. We just got a charcuterie board and drinks. It was ok, not bad. We thought the farmhouse decor inside and out was super cute. I came back for dinner and so glad we did. The food had an Asian twist to it and we are not mad at it. It was so good and filling. We got the fish wrap, mushrooms, mussels and brussel sprouts to feel a little healthy haha The mussels had a bit of a curry coconut flavor, I brought the sauce home cuz it was that good. The fish wrap was refreshing since we wrap it with fresh lettuce and fresh veggies but I don't know what that paste was that they gave us with the fish. And of course the mushroom was bomb also. I love mushrooms. Dinner was great here and would def be back to try more food.

Bre R.

Yelp
Revisited this week. We had very good service & cocktails including Johnny Cash & Day Dream. The broiled feta appetizer was very good except the bread was hard as a rock. Hamachi crudo excellent but too pricey for the small serving. Good burger, excellent lamb chops & hanger steak. Micro greens & edible flowers make it all pretty. We are disappointed they don't have the octopus anymore. One suggestion/ the inside seating really varies from hard wood chairs to booths with cushions that slide around & trap you. Time to redo seats, please !

June-Young C.

Yelp
Is there a dumpster near here? There's like a million flies hitting the food in the outdoor dining. The ube french toast was pretty good. Very fancy cream dipping sauce with fruit. They don't have salt and pepper, or spoons in the silverware. I got eggs on the side sunny side up. I came during Halloween, so the waiters were dressed up, which I thought was hilarious.

Max S.

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant in Temecula. The outdoor patio dining area is its best aspect. Once the hostess got into the groove of being open and I was seated, everything was good. The gal who took my order was friendly. I ordered a quiche and coffee. Always love it when edible flowers are served. The small side bread was a little dry, but the coffee and large sized portion quiche were delicious. Hip and trendy.

Kelly G.

Yelp
This place is cute and the food was fine! There weren't enough vegetarian options for my friends. Basically just side dishes were all they could eat. I wasn't really in the mood for a meat plate myself so I went for the salad and added steak. It was pretty pricey at $32. The salad was. Good but the leaves were left large so I had to cut them. The steak was just ok imo. A little chewy and not much flavor. The baked feta was really good. Ratatouille isn't my thing so I didn't care for it but it's a good option for veggie folks. The fried and brussel sprouts were pretty good. Last thing, I got the mango lemonade and it was incredibly sweet. Our wait staff was super friendly, honestly probably the best part. The overhead heaters were broken so our party was freezing.

Scott S.

Yelp
This is a really good restaurant located right in the heart of Old Town Temecula. The way this restaurant is designed is that they have a very nice interior area where you can dine if that is your preference. You can tell that they really took the time to do right by this interior area. The main section of this restaurant is revolved around outdoor dining, however. In this section they have a lot of outdoor tables and couches where you can come to enjoy you drinks or your meal. The food here is very good. It is very well prepared, using very good ingredients. Plus, each dish is offered with a very nice presentation. I am always impressed whenever one of the dishes is brought to my table. As can be expected, the staff here are all very nice and they do their job very well. The one thing to keep in mind is that this is a very popular restaurant. So, like some of the other restaurant located along Old Town Front Street, this place can become very crowded. You may be expected to wait if you do not have a reservation. That's not bad or good, that's just something to keep in mind. Overall, fun restaurant to eat at, that offers some very good food and drink.

MJ K.

Yelp
Beautiful spot, delicious food and great staff. I wanted to try so many things on the menu and absolutely loved the decor. Tyler was a wonderful bartender/server can't wait to go back.

Edith S.

Yelp
This was my second time coming to this restaurant. The first time I came, I wasn't impressed. However, for this visit I was very pleased. We sat outside where it was well lit with the beautiful bright lights. Best for taking pictures of the amazing food! The staff, friendly and helpful, took great care of us. The food came out faster than I expected since it was a weekend dinner. The Broiled Feta was absolutely delicious! I never had anything like it before. I could make a meal out of this appetizer alone. I chose the Fall Salmon which was just as delicious but I couldn't finish it because their portions were very generous. Since I have a second stomach just for desserts, I had plenty of room to try the Ube Panna Cotta. I didn't want to share, but it's the polite thing to do. Overall, great ambiance, service, and food. I would definitely come back.

Carrie A.

Yelp
Wow were we impressed! When we initially saw the prices we were SHOCKED...it was pricey. But it's a gorgeous setting and the food portions reflect the prices so we were very happy. Consider it a special occasion restaurant. I got the ciopinno and the fish was very fresh and the stew had so much flavor. I forgot to take a pic of my smoky mezcal drink with aquafaba foam but it was called a Free Spirit and it was super good! The service was great, I think her name was Courtney.

Mariah L.

Yelp
My husband and I visited the Small Barn for our first wedding anniversary mid October 2024. This was our third time visiting the Small Barn because of how amazing their food has been every time, and even still, this was our best experience yet! The service was incredible, with our drinks constantly filled and the light entertainment of the skilled bartender I am a steak girl through and through but the chicken caught my eye and it was some of the best chicken I've ever had, both in flavor and cook. The salad was so light and made the dish perfect. This evening we were sat at the corner table inside the restaurant which has the most amazing lights and we really couldn't have asked for a better experience for our anniversary. We will go back to this restaurant every time we are in Temecula.

Chantelle V.

Yelp
We were back last week and still amazing as ever! We ordered small plates to share and a drink each. Nice views to people watch those passing on the street.

Jarek M.

Yelp
Small Barn is a good restaurant for any occasion. We were dining here a few times. Our last visit was good too, however, we felt like the refinement of the dishes is not as good as it was before. The flavours are still there which is important. The starters became bigger and more filling so it is a good idea to probably get one to share rather than ordering individual ones. Mains are also plentiful. The seasoning and flavours were good. The highlight was the Penna cotta dessert. It wasn't too sweet. The addition of salt and fruit helped balance the sweetness.

Ania K.

Yelp
What Temecula is all about. Wine, local ingredients, sunshine, warm hospitality, and beautiful places to enjoy it all in. The space here is absolutely stunning. So many cool and beautiful touches. We were shopping and noticed the grand doors opening for lunch and knew we had to check it out. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating is available and on a perfect mid 70's Cali day we took advantage of enjoying ourselves outdoors. Shared a few brunch items and sipped on a few cocktails as we were going to drink wine for the rest of the day at the surrounding vineyards. This place is very conveniently located in Old Town and perfect before hitting up some wineries. Can't wait to return and try other dishes and drinks. Bravo for creating such a wonderful gathering place.

Alex D.

Yelp
Egg Benedict was good, but tomatoes were over seasoned. Pan Chicken had great taste just didn't like the rim of salt on the plate. Hamburger was great! Cute ambience and okay service.

Andres C.

Yelp
The Ube French Toast give this place a 4-star review, they were extremely delicious. Service was okay honestly and that was once they started serving us (took a while to have someone come to our table)

Taylor P.

Yelp
I feel sad doing this, but we're dropping one star. We've been back a couple of times since my last reviews and we've both noticed a drop in service and menu quality. We love this place so much, so we will keep coming back to see if it improves. Please cut the lettuce and cilantro

Melissa L.

Yelp
Had been dreaming of this Ube French toast since i had seen it on Yelp our last time we were in Temecula and I was so excited to finally try it! Small barn is located in old town Temecula and definitely one of the cuter and hipper brunch spots. There is a large outdoor patio decorated with plants that is super chic and the location is excellent. It can be hard to find parking as it is in old town. Service is great and we came without a reservation on a Saturday morning and waiting around 15 minutes for a group of 4. They have a great menu and I saw so many dishes rolling out of the kitchen that I wanted to try. Had to go with the fluffy Ube French toast but I saw a great looking quiche and eggs Benedict. Their chocolate chip dessert looked great too! The Ube French toast was amazing. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside but fluffy on the inside and the Ube flavor was definitely noticeable. The syrup they served with it was also great- thin and very flavorful and not thick and funky like a cheap diner. I wanted a whole scoop of the matcha cream that came with it!!! Everyone else at my table also loved their meals. Overall a cute brunch place to stop by. I hope they continue with their fun and unique dishes and excellent service! Will be back to try dinner hopefully.

Brooke L.

Yelp
Amazing service and super friendly staff! Everything we got was delicious but the broiled feta was to die for! The ube french toast was a close second and they even brought out warm cookie and milk after - 10/10 recommend

Kaitlin R.

Yelp
This super cute restaurant has a creative menu and delicious food. The staff is super friendly. This was my third time at this restaurant, and I have never been disappointed! I highly recommend for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

Laurie N.

Yelp
This place has great ambiance. The patio was so nice for Sunday breakfast. Our server was very helpful and the food was amazing

Kelby A.

Yelp
Highly recommended! Excellent customer service ,Good food. My burger was delicious and they offered vegan and vegetarian options I think that's awesome.

Claire S.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance of this place. There's indoor seating as well as outdoor seating available, which means it's dog friendly! We had a larger party so we were sat outside. There are umbrellas available over the outdoor tables but unfortunately ours wasn't open when we sat and the sun was right on us. We struggled to open the umbrella but a server saw us struggling and helped us open it. Other than that, we didn't have any issues. It took around 10 minutes for a server to take our order and we were helped by Samantha who was very friendly. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I notified her about my nut allergy and she let me know she would make a note to the kitchen. I was surprised to see that the Eggs Benedict came with a side of potatoes, since it wasn't shown on the menu. Everyone in our party enjoyed the meal and we ordered a bakery basket to share for dessert. One of the bakery items has nuts in it and the Samantha was kind enough to put it on a separate plate to avoid cross contamination. Overall a great brunch spot! We were able to find street parking on a Sunday morning and didn't have to walk too far. We had made a reservation and were seated almost immediately. There is a bathroom inside and I love that the bathrooms are designed as sliding bar doors

Yelp
Small Barn is a delight. The design motif in the restaurant and garden areas has bougie boutique charm- and the service is warm and friendly. The food is very good- it may err a bit on the side of being pretentious - but it is still good. It's a great place for a date or a family celebration.

Yelp
4.5 stars, it was almost perfect, aside from the tattooed hostess. We arrived ahead of our reservation on Thanksgiving and waited for the hostess to check us in. Unfortunately she led us to a table in the middle of the walkway in direct sunlight. When I let her know we made reservations for covered outdoor dining, she stated "well unfortunately we have back to back reservations today" that's great, we reserved covered seating. The restaurant wasn't even 1/3 full at the time and even though she gave my husband a dirty look when he reiterated our reservation she "went to check" and sat us at one of 3 empty covered 2 tops. Aside from the rocky start, everything else was great. The Apple of my Eye cocktail was especially good, we almost wish we had just ordered 2 of the same. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and all other staff, including the other hostess (that we wish had sat us from the start) were really great. The Thanksgiving menu was unique and the salmon was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce and the best spaghetti squash I've ever had. The burger was also great. The only downsides were the meh fries and a bit of a heavy crust on the pumpkin pie. The space is really nice, we'll definitely have to try Small Barn again outside of a holiday.

Yelp
10/10 recommend!!! We ordered 3 appetizers: feta, brussel sprouts and oysters. All of them were delicious and I highly recommend!!! We went on a Friday evening and they sat us right away. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with heaters and fire pits available. Their drinks were delicious, food was fresh and service was timely and attentive. We ordered salmon, sea bass and the scallops. The sea bass came with a massive plate of lettuce to make lettuce wraps, interesting concept but very light and tasty. The ambiance was a modern cozy, perfect for date night, family night out or a place to celebrate any occasion. I was very happy with our experience.

Yelp
Visited on Sunday morning for brunch. Made a reservation for opening hours (10a) and had a table outside. Perfect weather, a bit chilly, was they accommodated us by turning the heat lamp on. Met up with a girlfriend for a catch-up session, and both ordered their "eggs your way" breakfast. With so many delicious dishes available, to keep it simple, we ordered something chill. IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD! Toast (with berry compost - AMAZING), scrambled eggs, country fried potatoes, and two slices of perfectly cooked bacon. The best, simplest dish to taste. We didn't get any libations, but there is a variety for choosing. We sat outside, but when I went in to use the restroom, it looked so cute inside. A few tables with great service. There is parking all around Old Town, but I happened to find parking behind the restaurant on the corner of Front & Fifth Street, right in the plaza where the Matcha place is :) I'll definitely be back for lunch and dinner, and to try their drinks!

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere and service - 100 percent Temecula. The burger was perfectly cooked and fries crispy. 10/10 recommend for a dinner date
