"The perfect beach day consists of sun, proper UV protection, and a charcuterie tray from Small Goods. They have limited seating anyway, so stock up on food, head down the block and over to the water. Their beach box includes meats and cheeses for two, along with other snacks like dried fruit, nuts, and mini baguette slices. This spot is technically a cheese shop, but they’ve racked up a handful of “best sandwich” awards, too. Our favorite is the Golden Gate Phoney Baloney, a tasty combination of fatty mortadella with sharp red onion and a mellow finish of apple butter worthy of any sandwich trophy. " - sabrina medora

"Pick up lunch here before heading to nearby La Jolla Shores Beach. Open since the 70s, the Cheese Shop’s greatest hit is its roast pork loi sandwich: Roast pork loin. Sliced wafer-thin and meltingly tender, the house-roasted pork is seasoned with cilantro and spices and complemented by sweet and spicy mustard and melted cheese. The La Jolla Shores shop's rendition always tastes better than its downtown counterpart, maybe because you can walk the sandwich over to the beach and eat with your toes in the sand." - Candice Woo

"A fixture at three of San Diego’s most prominent farmer’s markets has found its first storefront in La Jolla, the home of founders Jenny and Mike Eastwood. Prior to moving to San Diego, the couple lived in New York City, where Jenny left a corporate career to work at legendary shop Murray’s Cheese as a cheesemonger and affineur in its cheese cave. The Eastwoods founded Smallgoods to help support and promote small producers of American farmstead cheese as well as charcuterie and other gourmet American products. Though they will continue to have a farmer’s market presence, their new brick-and-mortar on La Jolla Boulevard gives the pop-up cheese shop a permanent location where it can expand into a full-fledged cafe." - Candice Woo

Haven’t had an experience like this since my SF days. Artisanal, creative, delicious, cute, friendly vibes, all adjectives you will feel after coming to Smallgoods. The sandwich was better than anything I’ve created in months and it’s not this 1000 item menu. It’s simple, straight to the point, and highlights the best they have to offer. But they also have charcuterie trays, they cater and they have tons of cured meats and cheese you won’t find in the a Whole Foods or Sprouts. And the owner is super friendly and helpful with anything you need to know or maybe even don’t know. Yes, my new lunch spot when working out of LJ.

This place is a gem. My wife and I absolutely loved our sandwiches. It has a cute vibe that is very inviting. They are very helpful if you arent sure what you want. They have won a lot of awards for their food and service and it is well deserved. Update: right after I left this review the owner came by and gave us some free cheese, including one that is no longer being made. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Google
Today is my 2nd day in a row ordering a turkey sandwich. Absolutely unbelievable quality and taste. I am a self-proclaimed sandwich aficionado and I am rarely impressed by any old sandwich. This place is incomparable to any other sandwich place in San Diego. They definitely know what they’re doing!

Google
We were just walking by and decided to go in--great decision! The sandwiches were perhaps the BEST we'd ever had. All the ingredients--cheese, meat, and vegetables--were high quality and in perfect balance. All the sandwiches also came with a little delicious cube of cheese on the side (my friends and I were seriously discussing driving a couple hours from where we live to go to this creamery). We asked the owners about it and got into a discussion about the cheese--they were really sweet and very passionate! The place is cute and in a nice location, and we enjoyed reading the cheese guides while waiting for our food. We will definitely be returning whenever we come back to San Diego!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!! Loved the little side of cheese and meats, too.

Google
Went in right before they closed and they had two sandwiches left. I got a Turkey and the veggie. The veggie sandwich was blowing my mind. I thought it’s going to be another generic roasted veggies sandwich. WRONG. It was so flavorful, yet lite and filling. Perfect bread texture for the veggies. I loved it so much that I tried to recreate it so I can have it on repeat. Let’s just say I want to go back immediately and recommend you stopping by if you are in the area. The Turkey sandwich was also fantastic. I was just mindblown by the veggie one.

Google
Small foods created a beautiful platter for my daughter’s graduation. As the event was early the next day up in LA, Mike worked with us to choose items that would last overnight and travel well. It was the perfect offering for a mid afternoon reception. It gave the party an elegant but festive feel. Even with several, diverse dietary restrictions and personal tastes, everyone enjoyed it. Thank you!!

Google
Absolutely lovely place. Owners are very helpful and knowledgeable - they know their cheeses and charcuterie. Great prices for high-quality cheeses. We ordered cheese + charcuterie trays for hiking in Anza Borrego, and we couldn't be happier with the selection. Just yum! They recommended smaller plates rather than a big platter for portability while hiking, and it worked really well. They even included a list of the cheeses and charcuterie. Very pleased.

Yelp
Cute little local cheese and sandwich shop! I saw this place from Tiktok and had to give it a try. We ordered the Marin Brie and California turkey and cheese sandwich and they were AMAZING. Honestly the best sandwich I've ever had - not greasy and super fresh. 10/10 go here if you're in the area!

Yelp
https://studio.youtube.com/video/Qxjh1mF9Xps/edit Check out my little video of the charcuterie platter. We just moved to La Jolla and are having so much fun exploring all the new little cafes and restaurants. We are so lucky to live about 100 steps from this adorable little shop called Smallgoods Cheese Shop and Provisions. It is so darling on the inside and the outside but the best part is how yummy the cheese and meats are! We loved our little charcuterie sample that we got and are looking forward to going again. Everything tasted so good and the presentation was really nice. I feel like going there makes you feel fancy and elevated! I highly recommend it. Pro tip, yelp check in for $1 off a sandwich!

Yelp
Wow! This is one best sandwiches I've had! It was the Smallgoods American Sampler - like an Italian Sammy and so good! Awesome service from the owner and love the cheese shop too! Such a chill little cafe and perfect place to grab a sandwich and then hit the beach!

Keri C.

Yelp
Customer service was poor (very rude), charcuterie board did not contain the types of meat and cheese I requested, and the board display was not artistic or professional looking at all (I've never made a board and could have made one as basic as this looked).

Adrienna Y.

Yelp
Didn't get to stop in, but I placed an order from Smallgoods for a picnic as part of our bachelorette weekend! Their prices are on a per person basis. If you're looking for just cheese, it's ~$12 pp. If you want meat included, it's an additional $4pp. We had other picnic foods on the menu, so we only ordered enough cheese for about half the party and it was more than enough. Don't forget to ask for honey and mustard if you like those accompaniments so they can include it with your order. They were getting a delivery of fresh bread that day, so we added a baguette as well. The platter was beautifully arranged with a sprinkle of dried flowers and ready well before our designated pick-up time. I only wish I'd opted for more soft cheeses. It seemed like that was the more popular cheese amongst the group. We appreciated the addition of dried fruit, fresh fruit and cornichons too!

Emma Z.

Yelp
Oh you're sooo very welcome! thank you for the replies. I appreciate you taking responsibility like you should've the first time. I know customer service can be stressful.

Yelp
UPDATE! Thankfully, Mike the owner of Smallgoods contacted me about my 2 star review. We had quite a conversation about the first sandwich I received, and I loved hearing about his cheese and meats and who he buys from. Talking about food is always a great subject for me. Mike was quite astonished when I told him that the sandwich "had no taste of ham or cheese, and that I was not sure if these items were there." Also, I said "the sandwich had not been cut in half." Mike then began to explain how many items really go into his "most popular" sandwich, and I couldn't believe it! Apple slices????? Huh where ???? He asked me to drop by the shop sometime and he would make me a Ham & Cheese the way it should have been. I did just that this past Tuesday. I called Mike and ask about a sandwich, and when I arrived he handed me a Glorious meal. Two slices of bread, a cornichon, baby greens, delicious HAM & CHESSE, apple, really a beautiful thing to eat, and look at! Thank you Mike, I am looking forward to stopping by more often!!!!

Yelp
Smallgoods Cheese Shop & Cafe is a gem in San Diego! Jenny and Mike are awesome and are so knowledgeable about their product. I have to say, I have a sandwich for lunch almost every day and while I don't live close by, smallgoods has become almost an obsession for me. They make possibly the best sandwiches in all of San Diego! Even if you don't live nearby it is worth the trip. Take the drive, enjoy the beautiful scenery and treat yourself! You can tell they take the time to really think about what they put into each sandwich and which ingredients will work best together. You can even pick up a wonderful picnic box filled with their great cheese and meat selection to take with you on your way to the beach. I'd say the only bummer is that I didn't discover them sooner! Check them out and show them some much deserved love!

Yelp
The BEST sandwiches in San Diego! The Norcal veggie is my favorite You really can't compare any other cheese shop to Smallgoods. The quality of the ingredients and service is unmatched! My partner really enjoys their Sampler sandwich which you can get on a baguette as well. The charcuterie boards, beach boxes, and platters are always so well thought out and carefully crafted. You can definitely see the effort that is put into making them. The owners Mike and Jenny are always so warm and friendly. Mike is very charismatic and always gives you a laugh, while Jenny is quick to share her extensive knowledge of cheeses! Every time I visit, I feel as if I'm a guest in their home. Often times they'll offer you a sample or two of cheese or artisanal meat to try (spoiler, it's always amazing, and yes you'll want to buy some to take home ). The space is clean, comfortable and casual. Just the way I like it! Perfect to grab lunch, or grab charcuterie and head to the beach just down the street. Overall Smallgoods is one of the best spots you can go to in La Jolla, and I'd say even in San Diego! This is definitely not somewhere you want to overlook. Truly a hidden gem!

Yelp
We first discovered this business at the La Jolla art and wine festival a few weeks back and had to check out the storefront. Nestled in between other local businesses, the shop is a must visit for your cheese & charcuterie catering and even a lunch sandwich. I got the Oregon cheese and ham sandwich which was so light, fresh, and crisp. You could tell the ingredients were high quality to make a spectacular sandwich. I love the platter it up option to add a side of charcuterie and cheese as a complement to the sandwich. This is a great stop to pick up lunch before heading down to the beach.

Yelp
I will be 72 in October. I went to small goods based on reviews I read. When I got there, I was told that there were only two sandwiches available because they were closing. I figured that was fair. However, after I sat down to eat my sandwich, 4 young girls came in. The man at the counter decided they could order whatever they wanted. That made me feel like chopped liver. Truth be told, the sandwich I had was OK, but nothing to write home about. Perhaps it was the choice, or lack of, that I was given, so I ate what was offered. And unfortunately, it was all they had left so probably not their most popular sandwich. I would've liked to had something else. i'm sure the food is good as everyone says but personally I won't ever return. I don't like being treated like I don't matter. And that's what happened to me here. Having to sit there and eat my sandwich while four young girls twitter and giggled while they waited for their specific orders, really upset me. I almost got up and left my half eaten sandwich their. This is the kind of treatment given to old people all the time. We are old so we don't matter. many cultures value their elders simply because of the wisdom we have acquired over our lifetime. It didn't matter to him who I was, what my background was, what I had accomplished in my lifetime, and most importantly, that I had come the based on reviews. I told him this. I guess when an establishment knows they have a lot of customers they no longer have to cater to everyone. After all, whats one elder lady matter? Just give her the "leftovers", she'll probably eat anything. And...my sandwich was expensive. if I had been able to order something, I really wanted. I wouldn't mind paying their prices. But being given something I would never normally order and what had probably sat there the majority of the day was certainly not worth what I paid.

Yelp
Just got a sandwich from them. So good. The turkey and cheese so fresh and delicious. Also got a bacon pimento cheese and a Camembert that I can't wait to try!!!! Never been disappointed In any cheese, meat, or cheese that I've had here!!!

Elyssa B.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Jenny and Small Goods! They went out of their way last minute to make a beautiful and festive charcuterie for a gift I needed. They included the most delicious things my kids who were the recipients couldn't get over it!! I believe the meat was Wagu... not 100% but very high end meat and cheeses! They added caramels for my granddaughters. Couldn't be more perfect!

Lesa G.

Yelp
This place is convenient, clean, and the food is good. Where they lack tremendously is the customer service. I don't care how good your food is, if you don't treat people right they won't come back. I know I won't. You people act as if everyone walking in knows about the items you sell and when we ask questions your haughty attitude comes out. You think you're better than your customers? Please. There are better places to eat in La Jolla where they actually appreciate their customers. I've read your snarky comments on your other reviews. This just proves to show you're not interested in customer service. Do better.

Josh A.

Yelp
This spot is unique in every way. Smallgoods sources all of its meats and cheeses from small purveyors across the country and creates the most well-balanced sandwiches I've ever had. No joke, and this is coming from me who grew up in New Jersey/New York. My favorites were the Washington Holy Mole (made with Washington mole salami, california brie, dried cranberries, micro greens, radish, honey butter, and mustard) and the Oregon Cheese & Ham (made with Oregon Aged Cheddar, Nugget Ham, thinly sliced apples, micro greens, padron jam, mustard, and mayo). To be honest though, you can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches because each ingredient is already of the highest quality and in the most optimal quantity. Put 'em all together and you get something special. Other small notes I have that I learned from the owners are to order the more robust/meaty sandwiches on a baguette (the ham and turkey) and get the delicate meats on their normal bread (the salami and wagyu). Lastly, the hospitality was beyond exceptional. Mike and Jenny always took good care of me during my stay in La Jolla. When it comes to meats and cheeses, they know their stuff and know exactly what to recommend.

F M.

Yelp
This is an incredible cheese shop with even better company/ownership. We've known Jenny and Mike since before they had a storefront. Jenny is a member of the American cheese society. La Jolla doesn't realize what a gem they have here (jk, they know, hence # of recent awards!). The cheeses are amazing, tasty, and unusual/hard to find. The meats are tasty. They always have unique items - today we bought some goat ghee! Another unique item they briefly had was a cave aged butter front Vermont that I think David Chang had special ordered. Today they had a harvest cheese that looked like a wheel made of fall sunset. The white truffle salami was very tasty. Our baby really enjoyed their baguette. I'd order their cheese trays and charcuterie boards for friends and family anytime. They have a fridge w some special soft cheeses to check out. Totally worth a stop for lunch or for a platter on your way to the beach. Hopefully you can say hi to Cash their dachshund who is also around on occasion.

Karen W.

Yelp
It was time to give Smallgoods another shoutout!!! WOOT WOOT!!! We are super super lucky to have such a cool local business close to home. Last minute cheese grab, fresh baguettes, quiches, cute little adds like pickled thingys for grazing nibbles dinner, artisanal cured meats or a fresh box of baby sprouties and more.... Aside from two of the most helpful enthusiastic Fromagentrepreneur's you can't miss putting their small goods (pun intended) on your weekly calendar and tabIe. If you're not local, GO pick up a sando, order a beach box (not at the last minute kids) and enjoy it by the coast.

Olivia C.

Yelp
Poor customer service with rude cashier and exceptionally small portions. I will not be returning.

Donel D.

Yelp
EXTREMELY rude owner. she's basically the sole worker there and is very sharp tongued. she rolls her eyes every time you ask about anything on the menu and huffs and puffs while slamming stuff down. i've tried going there a few times, giving her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she just had an "off day" that first time but every single time has been a miserable experience.

Sara A.

Yelp
This spot is an absolute gem! I did a mystery picnic with my boyfriend last weekend and this was the first stop on our list. I have never heard of this place, and I never noticed it before but I am so glad that we discovered it. I went on a Saturday afternoon and found street parking easily. They had some seating outside, but not much. It's a very cute, small spot, and the moment we walked in we were greeted with a huge smile. They had a beautiful assortment of cheeses displayed. We got a charcuterie box that had such a great selection of cheeses, meats, crackers, dry fruits, grapes, this amazing honey and these delicious little pickles. The quality of everything was obvious, such high quality items. The woman who was working was very knowledgeable about every detail that made each item special. We got to try such a great variety of cheeses and they were all AMAZING. Seriously. The beautiful assortment they prepared for us would make a great gift too. I will absolutely be back.

Kim V.

Yelp
My friend asked to come here for lunch on his birthday. He discovered them at the local farmer's market and fell in love with their cheese and pate (when it's available). When he found out they had a cafe with sandwiches, he was sold. We decided to get 2 sandwiches and share them. The American Italian and Texan Wagyu were our choices. They were between $11 to $13 each, which is crazy reasonable! They have such high quality meats and cheeses, it was such a great treat. They were also kind enough to give us an extra birthday treat with some more slices of tasty meat and extra pickles. I had their lemonade which was just the right mix of sweet and sour. Since it was his birthday, we were going to meet other friends for a picnic. We got a 4 person chacuterie board that included cheeses from cow's, sheep, goat, you name it! We also received lovely slices of salame and prosciutto from several animals as well, all of which were wonderful. The board also had some lovely fruit and they also threw in some chicken liver pate that was seriously divine. They source from local vendors which is awesome to support local on several levels. If interesting meats and cheeses are your thing, you should get over here STAT!

Jack M.

Yelp
This is a very nice petite cheese and sandwich shop. I had a Domestic Mortadella Sandwich on a seeded baguette also known as the Phoney Baloney with Wisconsin Underground Mortadella and Vermont Shelburne Cheddar. The sandwich was a smashing success. The mortadella's flavor was outstanding, and she cheddar offered a nice mild sharpness and with overtones of fruit. The Pisco Pear Jam was very nice and it's sweetness balanced the cheddar and the aggressive nature of the dijon mustard. The Hommage Bakehouse seeded baguette gave the sandwich great texture with a bit of a chew. I liked it and the added seediness of the bread certainly good flavor. Service was very welcoming and friendly. They offer a variety of artisan sandwiches, cured meats, and cheeses. They make trays for special occasions or for a small picnic or quick lunch. A very quaint little place with a lot of heart.

Yelp
I attended the Taste of La Jolla last month and Smallgoods was one of the participating vendors. When I arrived, I was offered some cheese to try and it was delicious! Too bad they were closed because we wanted to purchase something to drink as well. It was nice of them to be open just for the event! The owners were so welcoming and sweet to us. We got two small charcuterie boards that included a variety of cheeses, meats, bread, and some fruit. These to-go boards had such quality items! I'm so happy I found them and can't wait to try them again another day.

Alexis S.

Yelp
Good god. The Italian sandwich may be the best sandwich I've ever had. (Subbed a sheep's cheese) I stopped eating halfway so I could take it home and enjoy more later. I. Don't. Do. That. It was like sandwich worship. Or maybe I figured I'd cry when it was gone so decided to save it for home? So good. And very nice workers.

chris c.

Yelp
I've been a customer of Smallgoods for about four years now, back at the farmers markets and now at the La Jolla shop. Mike and Jenny are super knowledgeable and friendly and have helped me out with my meat and cheese needs from just small individual items to full charcuterie platters. And the sandwiches! I stop by for lunch when I have the time, and the sandwiches are soooo good. The American-Italian and the Holy Mole are my favorites and I've probably ordered at least twenty of each? Yeah that sounds about right.

Pierce H.

Yelp

Katrina M.

Yelp
Learned about this shop through the company I work for and I'm so glad I did. Mike and Jenny are both incredibly kind and hard working, and their food is delicious. The turkey and cheese is a must have, and this is coming from someone who's usually indifferent to cold cut sammies. I still need to go back and try everything else on their menu! Smallgoods has also created several cheese & charcuterie platters for a couple company events and the process went by smoothly each time. Each spread is carefully crafted and it shows. I really hope that San Diego locals and tourists alike give this small business a try. Great service, great food, and great people.

Tylar S.

Yelp
This continues to be the best sandwich pretty much ever. I have tried a few but I cannot get enough if the turkey sandwich. It's insanely good. It's also comfy when you're waiting, whether inside or outside!

Stacy G.

Yelp
Went to SmallGoods for lunch today as I read about it in Westways magazine. When we entered, the owner told us honestly we would have to wait 20 minutes. She was not very friendly and we almost walked out, but given the magazine article we thought we would try it. I ordered the NorCal Veggie. I took one bite and realized it had no Brie cheese on it. When the owner came out, I told her and she took the sandwich back and brought me the same one back with Brie instead of making a fresh one. And the bread was broken on the sandwich with my original bite mark out of it. She should have make a new sandwich, at least the half I took a bite from. The owner didn't even apologize. I ate the sandwich because after waiting 25 minutes, I was starving. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was very disappointing, like cheap store bought. My husband agreed his sandwich was also disappointing as not much to it given the price. There are much better options in La Jolla, like the Wayfarer Bakery.

Michael S.

Yelp
What a find! I love meats and cheeses and this is a small hole in the wall (nicely decorated) near one of the prettiest beaches in San Diego. They even have charcuterie plates to take to an impromptu picnic at the beach. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The owner and I talked a little bit about my love for small batch salamis and, while eating my small goods sampler sandwich), he comes out with six slices of his favorite salamis. All the cheeses and meats are of the artisan variety, no Dietz and Watson found here :) I would highly recommend this place.

Ankur P.

Yelp
Best sandwiches and cheese platters around! highly recommend their sandwiches for lunch.

Lacey F.

Yelp
This is my first review ever, and it's for good reason. Last week, my friend and I stumbled across this establishment because frankly, we LOVE cheese! The gentleman (who is pictured on the website as one of the owners) was very welcoming. He created conversation, explained some of the various items, and even offered us a free sample of cheese with an interesting back story! He also RAVED about how good the sandwiches are, and if we hadn't just eaten we would've been convinced to order! We told him that we worked in the area so we would be back. Well, today we had the opportunity to get said sandwiches for lunch- we were stoked! We walked in, and the woman behind the counter (also pictured on the website as one of the owners) huffed "what can I get you?" We replied "oh we were just going to get a couple of sandwiches." She then rolled her eyes, and strutted into the kitchen with an annoyed tone "Let me see, the kitchen is backed up." Only to return without making eye contact to state "it's going to be an extra 10-15 minutes." Without even giving us the opportunity to tell her no worries, that's perfectly fine, she just blurts out in a bothered inflection "what can I get you?" We asked for menus, as the sandwiches are not displayed. She grabs the menus, and quite literally throws them on the table in front of us- again ZERO eye contact was made, just a vexed composure. My friend and I looked at each other and simply knew to walk out then and there. I understand life happens and we all have bad days, however, when you choose to work in customer service, you then choose to put the customer first. I read another review about a bothered member of staff here, and I can only assume it's the same woman based on the context provided. If your emotions are getting the best of you, to where you're turning away eager customers- perhaps a day off to collect yourself is past due. The ONLY reason I gave a second star is because of the first experience we had with the kind and helpful gentleman. At this moment, I'm not sure I would ever return.

Monica E.

Yelp
I run a nonprofit that hosts concerts in La Jolla. I asked a friend for a caterer who could help with our receptions. She recommended SmallGoods, and I have been ordering from them since. Working with Mike has been a pleasure and I know our platters will always impress our guests. They certainly set the tone for an elevated event. I highly recommend SmallGoods!

Chris L.

Yelp
This place is the perfect spot for the most expert cheese lover to people just looking for something good to try out! The amazing cheese shop is ran by Jenny and Mike, and their expertise is palpable the second you walk in. They are warm, inviting, and eager to make you feel welcome in their well-curated shop. Everything is thoughtfully sourced from all around the US and that makes it special in it's own right. Ask questions and know you are in great hands for something delicious! In my most recent trip, we set up a cheese event for the brewery that I work for - Pure Project- and students from the local school popped in for some cheese and salami. It's one of those that is open for everyone! They do have an espresso machine for pick me ups after a solid cheese plate. This place defines Shop Local in a great neighborhood like La Jolla!

Emily P.

Yelp
I loved checking out Smallgoods when I was very very very in the mood for a high quality sandwich and did not want to walk too far. They are a little hole-in-the-wall with a pretty small menu. I got their mortadella recently and it was VERY good. I love that they do meat and cheese boards for events and that they source from local vendors. I can't believe I've waited this long to try it out! It's a little pricey, but you are paying for the very high quality ingredients that you get. The service was quick and friendly, and I appreciate their efficiency. You can tell that they put a lot of heart into their food, so I will definitely be back to support this local business!

Tasha H.

Yelp
Mike was amazing to work with. He was incredible on matching the details needed for our event. Everything was beyond delicious. Will definitely use again/go down and visit the La Jolla shop.

Yelp
Just stumbled across the best, cutest cheese shop with wonderful sandwiches, teas and coffee! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Needing a charcuterie board last minute I knew where to go. I had been here before and one they had a great selection of meats and cheese. I came in as they were about to close and they were extremely helpful. The couple that ran the store is very nice and the husband is extremely knowledgeable of his meats and cheeses. He did an excellent job of explaining how the cheese tasted, how it was made, and where it came from. He also selected me four different type of meats that he said would go well with the cheeses we chose. Once we decided on all the meat and cheeses he went off in the back and made a masterpiece. I brought it to the party and everybody was amazed at how it tasted and looked. Even my mother-in-law who did not like cheese especially liked the cheddar that they chose for us. My whole family loved everything and wanted it again for the next family party.

Yelp
Came back for the second time and was happy with my 2 person - cheese charcuterie plate. It was very delicious and nicely put together. The people that own/work there are very kind. Glad to see them still flourishing.

Yelp
One of the best sandwiches I've had in years. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I loved the option to add meat and cheese on the side ! I'm so excited to come back here. The woman who took our order was so friendly and fun to talk to, you can tell she loves her job! The place itself is very cute, and I was impressed by what was available. I bought a sake jelly, something I hadn't seen before!

Yelp
Stopped in to pick up a charcuterie board for the beach, and what a great decision it was! The lady inside (owner?) was super knowledgeable and sweet, and she put together the most amazing custom. She's planning to go home for my boyfriend and I. There's a great little liquor store just on the street with an amazing wine selection if you're so inclined. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Wow!!! This spot deserves every one of its 5 stars. The service is small town friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. It is obvious that the owners of this shop truly care about what they do. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and vested in sharing that knowledge about cheeses, craft producers and items for sale. Their perfectly proportioned sandwiches are filled with fresh ingredients and made to order. What else could you ask for? Forgot to mention that their bread is also homemade and freshly baked. SO GOOD!! Already I am looking forward to my next trip to La Jolla so that I can sample another one of their tasty sandwiches!

Yelp
This is the only spot I automatically think of when wanting a charcuterie plate. Every time my boyfriend brings me a surprise charcuterie plate from San Diego (I am not a local), I get excited, happy and look forward to when I can enjoy a fancy meal with him. The meats and cheeses are very flavorful, and the there is so much variety! I am genuinely surprised by how well put together each plate is made for us to enjoy. This place never disappoints!!

Yelp
Great little local shop, nice and friendly owners are always there. I have a hard time driving by without stopping in for a turkey and cheese sandwich. Easily one of the best sandwiches you will/can find. Incredibly fresh, tasty and filling every time. It never disappoints. They have a nice selection from other local purveyors as well. A nice variety of unique provisions.

Yelp
Amazing selection of cheese, duh, but the sandwich menu is magic!! Their version of a combo is making it a "platter", which basically means you get a mini charcuterie board with your sandwich! It was so good. Service was amazing, food was amazing - can't wait to be back.

Yelp
BEST SANDO SPOT IN LA JOLLA. Nicely stacked and always fresh. For reference, if you enjoy Panino or High Street in the Central Coast, this is the place! You grab a sando and then walk to the beach. All you need is some Yacht Rock and your afternoon is complete. Support this local biz!

Yelp
The world needs more people like this! Not to mention the cheese and meats are out of this world, but possibly one of the nicest and genuine staff around! It is a refreshing experience in every way and couldn't recommend them enough. Do yourself a favor and head in!

Yelp
Jenny and Mike are terrific, genuine people and really contribute to the community. I tried their sandwiches recently and was very pleased. Very fairly priced and great way to try out more if you get the cheese an meat adder. Love the vibe sitting inside with coffee and NYTimes
