Smorgasburg Prospect Park

If you’re in Prospect Park on a Sunday, you’ll find loads of goodies to snack on (or full sized meals if you’re hungry). It draws a crowd but not overwhelming, and there are some scattered tables to sit at, though I recommend bringing a blanket and finding a shady spot to plop down under. I opted for some Mexican corn, a Peking duck bait bun, some watermelon lemonade, and one heck of cinnamon bread pudding. My hubby also sampled a Jamaican patty, and we shared an order of Trinidadian “doubles”. Honestly, everything we ate was pretty awesome, and you can find something for every “food mood”. Prices are a little on the ⬆️ across the board, but it’s worth the experience. Basically, take a quick culinary spin around the globe in the span of one fairly large park loop.

Sampled a few different places from here. Jerk chicken&plantains was deffo the best one out of all the food we tried. Everything is around $15-25 so choose wisely :) Lines weren’t too bad and had a great atmosphere :)

Great place to take your friends and family to on Sundays. We had a good time there seeing all the people, food vendors, and handmade craft items such as candles, clothing, jewelry, hair products, etc. The food was good but in my opinion overpriced.. I guess that's how they make up for their overhead expenses at the venue. We tried the Jamaican tacos, the fish cakes, the jerk chicken and fries, all from different vendors. We also had ice cream with marshmallows for dessert. This event is open from 11am- 6pm.. I would say get there around 12-12:30pm. It's a good time to go, and you won't have to wait in long lines to get your food. You will also be able to get a seat at one of the picnic tables if you don't bring your own chairs. Also, bring a small fan when you go, it was very hot when we went. It was our first time going there, and we will definitely be going back.

We were so excited to check out the vendors at their Prospect Park location on a Sunday. Smorgasburg has more savory food than sweets as there are many savory street food or even whole meal options, featuring different world cuisines. Honestly all the food stalls looked so tempting. The general price point of each vendor is quite high (~$10+ for food) but it’s worth trying for the vibes and fun times with friends/fam. ＊The Pincho Truck The pork chunks were more tender and juicier than I expected. Well marinated and glazed in a sweet and savory BBQ sauce. The set came with two tostones with spicy mayo and a slice of bread. This is my first time trying tostones, which are some crispy fried plantains. A solid savory food stall to give it a try. ＊Common Meadows Creamery I preferred the yuzu one as it had a sorbet-like icy texture. Not too sweet and perfect for summer. The fig one was creamier and richer, but also got a bit heavier and sweeter towards the end. ＊Twig.m We got half soy garlic chicken and half gochujang spicy chicken. Our fried chicken was made to order, and it was served steaming hot! Don’t burn your tongue when you eat lol. My friend couldn’t handle the spicy side, while I really loved the spicy kick from the gochujang sauce (I would love it even more if it was spicier). Soy garlic lacked some flavor imo as I wanted it to be more garlicky. ＊Lisbonata The shell was soggy. The center is melty and custardy like what an authentic pastel de nata should be. Beware that the egg tarts melt easily under the heat. The pistachio cream flavor was really delicious. On the sweeter side as they used condensed milk. ＊ Vermont Maple Lemonade SOOO REFRESHING! We were soaked in sweat and their maple lemonade quenched our thirst. Every sip is a delight. I’m typically not a fan of mint but the fresh mint one was delectable. I also enjoyed the peach one I got. The subtle sweetness from the maple syrup elevated the drinks.

Nice place for a lot of variety in food but most of it is overpriced and the area can get very busy and long lines. they also run out of water bottles so bring your own.

About 25 or so popup vendor options on Sunday at a beautiful park! They had a variety of foods ranging from pan fried baos to lemonades to jerk chicken tacos to Brazilian food vendors and so much more! We loved seeing the selection of options and trying out some great eats Sunday afternoon!

My family and I enjoyed the park very much, however the event was extremely crowded and had to wait an hour to get some food on a line. When we were finally ready to order, the item we wanted was no longer available. We found the food overpriced and meat was cold. 4 stars for event, 1 star for food we purchased, 5 stars for park.

A great selection of delicious food and a very nice atmosphere.

Warning not a family friendly environment for small kids. At least 4 of the stands were playing extremely vulgar music. I mean really bad explicit sex songs. As if they were trying to drive business away. I like the idea of playing music but this is not the place for that flavor. Food was decent Vermont Maple lemonade -Arnold Palmer flavor was my savior $6. Decent price for what it was. Toastie land - grilled cheese was good. I got the three cheese grilled cheese and added bacon. It was $15. King of pricy for cheese and bread with a little bacon. Sandwich was ok. Music here as described above was inappropriate for the venue but not the only place doing this. Picho truck. - best thing we ate beef skewers with some chimichurri sauce amazing. Tender and delicious. Ate some chicharon from a Mexican stand which was not very good. Too much fat. Not enough crispy $17. Expensive for the poor quality. Forgot the stand name.

I love Smorgasburg and attend a few times a year. I definitely was coming to check out their BBQ day featuring black-owned, Caribbean restaurants located throughout the city. The food did not disappoint. Lines were at bay and not super long and I was able to try a variety of items. I even got some take home food because it was just that good. Bark BBQ and Yaad man thing were favorite food stalls as I have visited both restaurants in the past and love their food menu. Yaad man has some of the best jerk chicken I've ever tasted and that brisket & chicharrone sandwich from Bark BBQ is to die for. Smorgasburg is always a vibe. Definitely an experience not to be missed. If you're a foodie and want to explore different cultures through their food - this is the place for you. Who doesn't love a variety of grub, adult beverages and the beautiful nature that Prospect Park affords?! ... With that being said, it isn't cheap. With convenience comes price so think of your visit as a well deserved treat. The truffle fries (pom frites) is a go-to and highly recommended. The theme and activities can vary each week - sometimes there will be freebies! I'd definitely recommend taking your appetite to Smorgasburg in Prospect Park to have a fulfilling, chill Sunday.

This was the second time I came to Smorgasburg at Prospect Park. This time it was for Lumpia Fest. So there was pop up Filipino stands that aren't normally there. I throughly enjoyed trying various lumpia and ube flavored desserts. A staple in Smorgasburg is the Vermont Maple drinks highly recommend! 5 dollars for a good thirst quencher my fave is guava. It is crowded here so keep that in mind but some stands have QR codes that you can order ahead of time.

I love going to Smorgasburg, even though it's quite difficult to get to when you're driving. The food is amazing and quite diverse. Services is always friendly and helpful. There is one caveat, your best bet is to get there when they open, or within the first hour. This is when the lines are almost nonexistent and you can pick and choose all the food that you'd like. There are several picnic tables and a lawn area inside the circle of stalls. If you come at this time, you will be able to eat at some of the tables. Once it becomes afternoon, everything changes. The lines become super long and you will have to wait a long time just to get food from one stall. I can honestly say, all of the food that I chose was delicious and made me quite happy .

I came here on a Sunday afternoon with friends. I've never been to this location, only Williamsburg. This location seems to have less vendors but definitely less crowded. I didn't have to wait for any vendor at all and I went to a few of them. I tried the 5 baos (lamb, pork, chicken, beef, shitake mushroom) from Mao's Bao, chicken satay skewers from Indonesian Street Food, jerk chicken and rasta pasta from Treat Yourself Jerk, and matcha red bean bulldog taiyaki (waffle with filling) from Tojo's Kitchen. I liked the baos and the taiyaki the most. I would definitely come back! There's so much food to try!

Every year I go to the Prospect Park Smorgasburg location. I enjoy trying all the new foods they have. This year I tried the jerk chicken and Rasta pasta from Treat Yourself Jerk. The food was delicious. I got the medium hot sauce. The hot hot sauce I sampled and it was way too hot. Then I tried the Vermont Maple Lemonade and enjoyed the apple cider lemonade. You definitely tasted the apple cider in the lemonade. It was so refreshing. Lastly, I tried the kabobs from So Sarap which were tasty. I tried the chicken, beef, and pork kabobs.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Smorgasburg food festival in Prospect Park, where I stumbled upon the Vermont Maple Lemonade stand. Known for their inventive takes on classic lemonades, they were offering an Arnold Palmer Lemonade that I simply couldn't resist trying. Priced at $6, the Arnold Palmer Lemonade initially seemed a bit on the higher side. However, as soon as I took my first sip, I realized that this was no ordinary lemonade. The drink was a harmonious blend of tart lemonade and robust iced tea, creating a symphony of flavors that was both refreshing and invigorating. The freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable - you could taste the real lemons and the high-quality tea that went into making this beverage. One of the standout aspects of the Arnold Palmer Lemonade was the subtle hint of Vermont maple syrup. This unique addition added a gentle sweetness and depth of flavor that set it apart from other lemonades I've tried. The maple syrup was not overpowering but rather, it enhanced the overall taste, providing a smooth finish to each sip. The Vermont Maple Lemonade Company proved to be a popular choice at the festival. By the time I arrived, many of their other flavors had already sold out, leaving the Arnold Palmer Lemonade as the only option available. If you find yourself at Smorgasburg or any event where the Vermont Maple Lemonade stand is present, do yourself a favor and try their Arnold Palmer Lemonade. It's a refreshing treat that captures the essence of summer in every sip, and one that I would gladly enjoy again and again.

It was my first time going, and I'm glad I got a chance to breeze through. I tried three different vendors, one for each part of the meal. The giant pomme frites are delicious, and the maple lemonade drinks made us return for another round. The bao buns were also pretty tasty, and the atmosphere was family-oriented and fun. The duck fat burger, on the other hand, was not so great (overcooked & underseasoned). But I will definitely come back to try more vendors next year!

What's not to like? Love the food curation, the availability of adult beverages and the walk in the park. The only think that would make it better is more shaded areas to sit.

Crowded, overpriced for what it is, and the food is hit or miss from vendor to vendor. Some vendors are good, but it is difficult to walk and look around due to the lines blocking the walkways. Very similar to the Smorgasburg in Williamsburg and a lot of the same vendors.

I love the event. Many vegan options but little to no Gluten free options. The only thing I was safely able to have was mango from a stall, some elotes and some drinks. Everything I had was good. This rating is mainly because I couldn't truly enjoy it but I would recommend it to everyone.

First time visiting. We heard the music after visiting the zoo. Relaxing festive event. People bring camping chair, picnic blankets to lie around. Many food stalls with a few merchandise stalls. Food stalls offer many different food including burger, pizza, Malaysian and philipino food, ice cream, truffle fries...... we picked out two stalls: - Ha Tao Shrimps: Rock shrimp with choice of sauce $18. Very tasty and good portion. Add $3 to get a drink like lemonade or watermelon drink. Our family likes this stall the most. Will definitely buy again. - Japanese fried chicken : $13 plus $8 to add combo ( fries and drink). They don't taste like Japanese chicken. It reminds me of Popeyes fried chicken instead. Fries was well seasoned and crispy. Lemonade drink was watered down. Will skip this next time. Overall it was a relaxing fun afternoon. Zoo was 5 min walk from here. It makes a good prospect park day out. Tip: parking is no joke. Take public transportation. Smorgsburg will be held at prospect park ( Lincoln road entrance) every Sunday 11-6 pm til Oct 29, 2023.

As we live in the area, we visit Smorgasburg at least a couple times a year. We enjoyed the new offerings this season, including the Filipino BBQ spot, the jerk chicken, tater tots from the fried seafood spot, and the Taiwanese bao from C Bao (not new, but just new to me). Everything was pretty good and I'd get the Filipino skewers and bao again. As always, the park is BYO seating, which is always a challenge if you have a big group. But the food offerings are fun on a nice day.

I love Smorgasbord at Prospect Park! It occurs every Sunday. It's a must for foodies, or those looking to spice up their Self-Care Sunday. To avoid long lines, go during non-peak times. There's something for every palette!

This was my first year attending I went Sunday and had a great time can't wait til my son comes home so we can attend together, the foods I tried were all amazing and packed with flavor, the food was definitely a big hit for me, service was very smooth park was clean felt safe and it wasn't uncomfortable crowded. The ambiance in the park was amazing at first we got a little rain but eventually the sun came out in our favor definitely will be going back can't wait til my son get home

This is a fun open-air food market held in Prospect Park on Sundays during the summer. Other locations include the World Trade Center and Williamsburg. There are dozens and dozens of vendors spanning foods of all cultures. Everything from lemonade to chicken to lobster to ice cream can be found. I got a cheesesteak from Fedoroff's which did not disappoint. It can get pretty packed so get there early with a blanket to get prime real estate under the shade in between the two rows of vendors.

Located by a lot of busses and major train lines about a five minute walk up a mini hill It was a scorcher today with limited seating and even more limited shade but we were determined to make the best of it. Had a BBQ shrimp po boy from Parish Po Boys, a burger from Burger Supreme, cookers from Bang Cookies and Ice cream from BONA ice cream ... everything was delicious. My only gripe was that everything was so expensive and the portions sizes didn't justify the prices. I understand the concept but you come wanting to try multiple dishes, you will be out almost 60 bucks! I would recommend it to try once but the cost adds up

I came here for the BBQ day. I arrived at 12pm, and there were already lines starting to form. Lines got significantly longer the next half hour or so. Some of the more popular places had run out of certain items. I tried Bark Barbecue and SmoKING of Meats. At Bark Barbecue I got the two meats plate of brisket and rib tips. The brisket was on the saltier side, but they give you some to try before you order. The arroz con gringa could have used more seasoning, but it balanced with the brisket. Cornbread had a spice that was either cinnamon or nutmeg, but it was crumbly and dry. Rib tips were the best. They were flavorful, moist, and tore apart easily. There were two bbq sauces. I preferred the sweeter one over the tangy one. At SmoKING of meats, they allowed us to get 1/4 lb of eat meat. Tried the ribs and the brisket. They were both really tender. By itself. the meats were okay, but the bbq sauce pairing made them taste significantly better. There were a good variety of vendors. There's live music. Make sure to bring a picnic blanket or something to sit on because there are no dining areas. Lines get out of control, and there isn't someone controlling how they form or where they lead.

I love smorgasburg but hate the crowds.. today I went at 4pm on a cloudy day with a high chance of rain.. ZERO lines.. it was perfect. I had the shrimp and totes combo from Ha Tao shrimp house.. there are multiple sauces to choose from. I chose the soy garlic sauce (way too salty) next time I'd go with sweet chili.. the totes were very good. I had the BLT lobster roll from red hook lobster.. *chefs kisses*.. I'd rate it a 10. My cousin had jerk chicken tacos with an apple and cucumber salsa.. delicious. She also had the double check burger from smash burger.. everything was a 10 minus my shrimp. Can't wait to return on another gloomy day lol

Short review- Get stuff from Jakarta, Julien, or Mama's Cupboard. I was here with several others maybe two or three Sundays ago. It started off relatively quiet when we got there but by the time we were leaving, most of the places had a rather big line with the biggest line being the fries place along with the BBQ joint. As with my preferred food festival (Queens Night Market,) I'll be listing things by section as we tried a lot of things. Very good Jakarta Munch- Nasi uduk (coconut rice) with beef rendang served with vegetables, pickle, kerupuk, sambal, fried garlic, and shallot. This was fantastic and worth it for the 15/16$. It could have maybe been a little bit spicier but otherwise, the flavors were very good. The only thing I'd suggest is sell packets of their kerupuk as this would be a nice snack. Julien Boulangerie- Canelé. Very good canele. Perhaps slightly too hard on the outside but very well flavored and certainly worth it. The other person who got something there found their almond croissant unique but tasty. Good- Yakitori Tatsu- Eel skewer. Very good flavors. Nice large pieces of eel. Mostly worth it for 9$. Other people had the beef (which they liked) as well as the chicken which they liked a lot and definitely had the biggest potion for the price (I guess makes sense from them calling themselves Yakitori.) Vaquero Elotes- Passion fruit/maracuya juice. Good flavors. Not too sweets/sour. Big drink also. Alright (tasty but not worth it for the price) D'Abruzzo- Lamb arrostacini. This was a bit over 3 bucks for a tiny but very juicy skewer. The taste was nice from both the marinade and the charcoal but I wouldn't bother ordering one again because it just wasn't worth it (even with the deal for extra for cheaper.) Yakitori Tatsu- Scallop skewer. Good texture but tiny not super sweet scallops. Alright. Not recommended Noodle Lane- Dan dan noodles with pork, Sichuan pepper, veggies, and #scallions. I ordered medium spicy and it really wasn't spicy enough. I saw them add the chili oil and I mixed it well (or at least as well as I could with the tiny container but it didn't add much flavor. The bottom of the noodles was just watery and I really didn't like the noodle texture either. Just not good. The pork in it was fine at least. Other (things they ordered which I didn't try/ didn't have enough to review) Mama's Cupboard- Pad Thai + tofu combo. Very big portion for the price. One of the few things really worth the money. Not surprised as I love their midtown location (fantastic Bahn mi there.) Mao's Bao- Mixed dumplings- Very filling dumplings. She preferred the lamb and pork of her mix. Home Frite- Truffle fries. Tried one of. Very tasty and very rich and easily big enough to share. Oyster Party- Lobster roll. Didn't try. They liked it. As someone said, "It's 22$ so it better be good and it was." Overall the food here is fine. Some definite highlights (Indonesian, the canelé) with a couple lowlights. The prices here are too high compared to my preferred food festival but I think that places just outclasses other ones. Mid 3.

The variety of food will confuse you about which stand is worth trying, from soul food to other classics, it is a blast whenever I go there and eat new dishes.

Delicious food, lots of choices. Didn't see many "healthy" choices but lots of fun options to choose from, fruit, drinks, dessert, etc etc. Busy but not mobbed, and we were able to snag spots at picnic tables and on the grass when needed. Not sure if there were porta potties or just bathrooms by the Lincoln Rd entrance. 2 water refill stations. Prices generally weren't too bad either.

Literally food heaven! I came here a few months back and had a blast! There are so many food and drink vendors to choose from. I started off with an iced coffee from Sister Yard. Then I tried a shrimp sandwich, and the lobster roll was pretty good. You can not leave here without having ice cream and/or lemonade! Looking forward to coming here 2 or 3 times later this year.

Smorgasburg is a Food Festival that's happening at Prospect Park on Sundays from April to October. They have other locations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's definitely a must for foodies! People bring camping chairs and picnic blankets to lie around for the festivities. There are a bunch of different vendors to try all type of foods from. I tried the oysters and lobster roll from Oyster Party which was amazing! I even added caviar to one of the oysters which was exquisite. My next stop was Yakitori Tatsu. They had the best skewers ever! I had the squid, scallop, eel, and chicken sewers and they were delicious. I also tried the Crawfish Mac at Parish Po Boys, the Lobster Roll at Red Hook Lobster Pound, and a Single burger from Smashed. Everything tasted so good, nothing was disappointing. It's definitely an all day event because you'll need time to try the different vendors. If it's nice enough, you can grab a Citi bike and ride around the park or you can go to the zoo. It's definitely a great time! You can bring the kids or the dog! It's family friendly for sure.

My first time here. I walked around the entire park to see all the vendors. It most certainly was hot. Wear a hat. But it was worth it. So many different food vendors all in one place. No benches, or seats. People just were sitting in the grass or with their own chairs. It was very crowded. But doable to walk around the event comfortably. The truffle fries was my first choice with blueberry lemonade. Sooooo yummy with the truffle dipping sauce. They had some plant based & vegan vendors as well. The lines for oxtail were so long. I opted for this amazing seafood dish. They even had a cocktail vendor as well. A wonderful way to spend your Sunday afternoon. You won't be disappointed.

You will not be disappointed in anyway the amount of different foods they have will satisfy everyone in your families palate. Everyone is nice very personable and patient. If you don't know what you want I would say definitely stop by Sugarhill creamery because they low-key have the best peach cobbler icecream ever in life. the bathrooms are really really crowded though I'm talking about 30 minute wait and it's a unisex bathroom but besides that if I could go there every weekend and not gain weight, I would say that I was showed nothing but love and that I was welcome. Even my kids enjoyed themselves. This is a great date night idea.

LOVED mao bao and the mango vermont maple lemonade. The lychee in the bubble tea was amazing also. The chicken nuggets at japanese fried chicken was bland unfortunately. This was disappointing because I've had their chicken sandwich before and it was delicious. Ice cream sandwich was really yummy also, but the cookie was too hard and kept cracking in big chunks. The jerk chicken taco and hand rolls were yummy also. The food options were a good variety, and I didn't get to try everything before becoming full. I just wish they had more drink options. Also, went to queens night market the night before and I saw the same bao buns for twice as much at Smorgasburg. Deff overpriced but still worth it for the experience imo. Lines get longer later in the day so go early.

Smorgasburg at Prospect Park was a fun spot spend our Sunday afternoon at, trying various bites from different vendors of all cuisines! It was very busy, but lots of space for people to lay out blankets to sit, and some picnic tables towards the back by the beverages (beer, cocktails, alcohol). The event had sufficient venues for everyone to find something they're interested in, but not overwhelming at all. We started with an Arnold Palmer maple syrup lemonade which kept us hydrated as we loops around the vendors. We also tried Yakitori Tatsu (Kobe beef, Takoyaki, Eel skewers) that smelled delicious with freshly grilled meats. We also tried Petisco Brazuca's chicken coxinha (10 for $15) - my partner is Brazilian and he highly approved! We also had Home Frite's truffle fries that came with delicious sauce on the side. In general, though lines can be long, they move generally pretty fast, so definitely line up for something if you're interested! Overall, a great time here and would love to go to other Smorgasburgs!

If you haven't been to Smorgasburg and you're a foodie, you need to come and check it out. Multiple vendors from across NYC (and beyond) offer delicious options to enjoy. I've been here multiple times, and it's never been a disappointment. Even though the weather isn't always nice, they are still open rain or shine. This past weekend I tried Sister Yard for the first time. If you need caffeine, their cold brew is a must.

Such a nice area with good/cool food trucks if you want to do a day out and grab a bite in the park. We drove from the Bronx but Managed to find parking as a real New Yorker should On a Sunday. Sundays is when they are located in this location. All spots took card and cash. We ate things like brick oven pizza, ice cream, baos, dumplings, bubble tea, Brazilian empanadas, and more ! It was 3 of us sharing plates and we spent about $100. Nothing is "cheap" but somethings were definitely overpriced for their size. Once you walk into the park you follow the path to the back, you will see the UBER EATS sign and right there. It's a decent size space with trucks in a circle with graaa area all around to sit and eat. Bring your dogs and children out for some fresh air! I would come here again if i was in BK on a Sunday. I love me some good food trucks! Some of my favorite were from DESTINATION DUMPLINGS, BAO TEA HOUSE, MAO BAO, WOOD FIRED EDIBLES, & ROOSTER BOY FRIED CHICKEN. A foodies paradise!!!!! Booths on booths on booths of incredible trendy food. Anything you're in the mood for, they've got! Things I tried: birria tacos, rice balls, lamb and chicken skewers, mozzarella sticks, Mexican style sausage, donuts, empanadas & vegan bacon egg and cheese, shaved ice & lemonade. Oooooooooooh my. Still full and recovering lol. The only negative I have is that the park is so big, it was our first time here so we were kinda lost and couldn't find the location of the event but I do think that has everything to do with where we parked and because we ventured off to take some photos near some sculptures lol. We ended up taking an unexpected hike through the woods when we smelt the food and realized where it was. Got my cardio in for sure which was needed before all this grub! Expect to spend about $10-15 dollars per booth, the items normally start there & up. Not bad considering the amount of food & that it's all on trend. I wish I wasn't as full as I was because there was so much more I wanted to try but I'll deff be back! (P.s, all of the booths I went to took Apple Pay which made checking out super quick!)

It's been like 2 whole years that I have been to Smorgasburg. And I didn't even know it was in Prospect Park. So yeah I had the best Mother's Day ever this year when I was invited by my sister. I got there around 2pm and walked from Franklin like a fool but it was a beautiful day. The instructions on my Apple Maps got me right thru the park and straight to the festival. It was about a 5 minutes walk from the Lincoln road entrance. And yeah I had lobster rolls, dumplings, ice-cream, truffle fries, oysters &, mini gay donuts. I didn't get to try Jace bbq or bunnan BK but we also had pizza and mangos. We ate a whole lot and brought a blanket to chill on. People were playing cards and having a chill afternoon. It wasn't to crowded and I think there were like 20 something vendors. They had alcohol and bathrooms and just pure foodie fun!

Good turnout on a warm summer day. A lot of food options on this bbq weekend. Get ready to wait a bit for Bark BBQ once the line develops.

First time back at smorgasburg this year and it was a treat! There was a sizable amount of vendors back with a significant variety of options from dumplings to jerk tacos to oysters. There were crowds throughout but nothing like traditional Smorgasburg. The longest lines were at the lemonade stand (pomegranate hibiscus lemonade!) but that moved super quickly, within 5 minutes. All vendors now take credit card with many accepting Apple Pay. Very convenient. Ordered a variety of food including Peking duck dumplings, chicken karaage on a stick, and duck poutine. The standout was definitely the gorgeous drink, pictured here. This was a butterfly pea tea lemonade with lychee jelly. Would definitely recommend.

What to do on a dreary sky Mother's Day. Go to Smorgasbord in Prospect Park to avoid all the long lines. Pursued the hill for delicious treats while prepared with our empty to go containers after hitting the lottery number last night so budget was no concern. Bark BBQ was the first stop, no plate offerings this weekend everything a la carte. Meat and sides delicious as always, happy to support a small business owner with his success especially when his product is excellent. Beef rib was $36 per pound including the bone. Brisket $18 pound and sides $4 each. Pastries in a box from Julien boulangerie always taste better because he speaks French which is wonderful to listen to. So fresh and so tasty. Strawberry Madeline's were 3 for $10. Get one of everything that looks good to you. Red Hook Lobster, get the Connecticut hot butter roll, eat it while its hot. It disappears in a heart beat and for $26 you'll still be hungry but it's so good. D'Abruzzo lamb skewers, meaty salty Heaven on a stick, 5 for $12 or $3 for one. Birria LES, New to the hill, the beef birria tacos which are all the rage are over stuffed with meat. The sharp onion is a nice break to all the meaty goodness. The cheese wasn't noticeable, $5 each. Come with friends and share your feast.

Decent selection of food and fun place to go with family and friends! Was a bit crowded, and came towards the end of Smorgasburg, but there were still a bunch of vendors and lots of people in the park and at the event. Great place to try a diverse selection of food although a bit more overpriced than other places you can find in the city.

Really fun (and big) outside food event at Prospect Park!!! I went opening weekend, so as expected, the turnout was large. However, I went on a day where it was raining all morning and afternoon, so lines were much shorter (or nonexistent). With that being said, no tents or shade available- you are not protected from the elements and if it rains, YOU WILL GET WET. Brought my dog to this "dog friendly" event- there were several other dogs, but only ONE dog stand, that is giving away 1 free sample to each dog. No stands for you to purchase treats for your furry friend and no water bowls anywhere (make sure you bring your own if it's hot). There were about 20 vendors; look ahead of time online to see what vendors will be at what location. I really enjoyed about 80% of the vendors, most of the food was fresh and delicious! Plenty of smaller portions served so you could sample more things. I do wish they were serving more alcohol (only 1 vendor with alcohol when I was there). Overall a great event, to go with friends or family (or pets), and I would return (maybe even try a different location with a couple different/new vendors). They accept cash or credit or Apple Pay- which made paying for things easy and convenient. Favorite vendors included Smashburger (#1), Red Hook Lobster Pound and Home Frite!!!! NOTE: The IG account suggests entering off Flatbush and Lincoln, this will confuse your Uber driver. Instead, tell them the intersection of Ocean and Lincoln.

Sunday is your last chance for Smorgasburg. It was a shortened season as the world went to hell but I still got a chance to enjoy some fine cuisine here and at Williamsburg. Online ordering only. I enjoyed the duck confit at Duck Season. Perhaps I'll try the duck fat fries in 2021 but there are many boxes to check at Smorg. Meanwhile, Mai Bpen Rai served up an instant classic with the papaya salad. It looks like papaya salads you've known before but the spice-and-citrus harmony is absolutely brilliant. (The "lots-a-spice" version is the way to go). They also help cool down the heat with a photo-friendly mango and coconut dessert and a limeade with papaya and basil.

You wake up with the brilliant idea of having a picnic but don't want to do the work. Voila ! I present to you the best way to have a picnic. We came here with our picnic blankets, chairs and of course our music. Everyone was able to kick back, relax, pick and choose what they wanted to eat and drink. Had a great Sunday afternoon relaxing in the park! Home Frite- The truffle fries were spot on!! Bang cookies were definitely banging !! Big Mozz, oh that crunch D'Abruzzo, lamb stole the show, skip the chicken Julien Boulangerie,, YES PLEASE !!! Vermont maple lemonade- Wah Gwaan- loved the creative taco's Kinoko- light food, fun options, pricey Wood fired Edibles- Tasty but pricey, if you really want pizza. Rosie's Empanada's - hit or miss Bao Tea House - Butterfly pea flower lemonade did not have much flavor just looked very pretty. Mao's Bao's- Can we not dump all the lamb and veggie bao's on the same platter!?!?!?!?Respect the vegetarians please. Summer is short! Take advantage of Smorgasburg and have yourself an effortless picnic while supporting local vendors! o

I've never been to Smorgasborg so when my son insisted that we go to the opening Sunday I figured why not?! This event attracts A LOT of people so if you are a foodie like me prepare to get there right at the opening (around 11 am) as you will probably spend a lot of time waiting on long lines. Overall a great opportunity to hang out with friends in beautiful Prospect park

I just visited this event in Prospect Park on 06/02/2024. And here are the reasons for 1 star: 1. It is extremely crowded. There is zero room to move, or sit down and eat the food. I will not use the word 'enjoy', because I did not enjoy the food, except for one dish I will discuss later. 2. I tried from 5 different vendors and the food was terrible. My first vendor, however, served a very fresh batch of dumplings. I cannot recall the name but the vendor was toward the end of the loop, and they had steamed bao buns, and a variety of dumplings. Very tasty. Now, since I enjoyed these dumplings so much I decided to return to the beginning and get some colored ones at Mao Bao. I got one of each, a combo. OMG, how terrible they were! I could tell they were stale, and not fresh as the dough was tough. The meat was also very suspect, and tasted very sour, and not the good kind of 'sour'. I was afraid I may get sick. I actually read (after I attended the event) a 1-star review by someone who also ate those buns and got sick to the point they had to go to the ER! Fortunately, I am ok. Then I got two drinks (15 minutes apart) - boozy lemonade and punch, both with vodka. Let me just say, there was no booze at all! It was simple basic lemonade and overly sweet punch...all came out around $18 with tax, each! Moving on to skewers...I thought I got a good deal when I paid $10 for 3 skewers. I got chicken, beef and pork. Chicken one was the only decent tasting: quite juicy. The beef was so hard, I could not remove it from the stick! The meat also got stuck in my teeth - very touch. The pork was no better. I wanted to try the truffle fries but the line was 30 people long and I did not care to wait. There was a vendor serving jerk chicken tacos. The line was enormous! So I thought, the tacos must be good! So, I waited for literally 45 minutes in line! Just to pay $18 for two tiny tacos! And they were not even that good! Very basic! The kind you can get at Taco Bell for $5! Terrible altogether! I will never bother coming here again.

I've been coming here for years-- ALWAYS A GOOD TIME. The food here is sooo delish. I always go for some oysters first for starters. They are so fresh and tasty. This year there's a different vendor- Oyster Party. This time around- the best seller for me was the Duck Fat Fries with Duck Bacon. It's a bang for your buck. Super delicious and very filling. I also got a cool corn dog/cheese stick. That was very different but delicious. I got a Vermont Maple Syrup Lemonade which is refreshing but not overly sweet. Suggestion is to bring a blanket and sprawl out anywhere and enjoy the food!

Yay!!! Smorgasburg is back for the season. Bring a picnic blanket and plant yourself on the central lawn for the afternoon. Too many delicious vendors to list, but on this outing, we started with Triple Fat Fries from the always reliable Duck Season, tried the delicious Battered Shrimp from the newcomer Ha Tao , and finished with a baklava ice cream sandwich from another newcomer, Bibi bakery. Loved them all but particularly loved the shrimp, and need to go back and try their other shrimp dishes next time.

While I'm partial to the Williamsburg location, I still enjoyed myself. Hubby, my son, daughter and I met up with our cousin here for some foodie times and to visit with each other. The walk to the event location was nice. It reminded me of when my girlfriend and I were making our way to the start of this year's NYC half marathon because it was pretty much in the same place as where we had to walk to the start. There's a beautiful lake in the park by which we walked, from our parking spot. There are also some interesting structures in the park, some of which we checked out. We made the rounds a couple of times so that we could decide upon exactly what we wanted to try. It was very hot and humid this particular day so we were trying to attack, eat and leave as quickly as possible. Our cousin lives nearby so we planned on going back to her house after we grubbed. From crawfish mac & cheese to lobster rolls and dumings, we enjoyed a myriad of dishes, each better than the last. I love that they have plenty of free water for everyone so that no one ends up dehydrated and in danger. There were not many places to really sit and enjoy your food, especially with the place being so packed so we stood and ate quickly and then headed to our cousin's house for wine and dessert. I prefer the other location just because I feel there's more of an opportunity to sit and relax and the views are way better in Williamsburg.

Fun foodie event! So many cool vendors and unique dishes. The park was packed but it wasn't overwhelming. There were no lines and everyone was so nice and excited to show off their creations. The mozzarella sticks there were out of this world and the shaved ice potentionally ruined other ice cream for me forever. This is the perfect event for a date night, a solo adventure, or to bring your whole family. Highly recommend!!

So the selection of food here is immaculate! A great place to bring friends and family, espeically because the options are endless. there will be a meal for everyone's taste buds. this is my second week going and here's what we got: - lobster truffle garlic fries: the portion size is HUGE for this, you could share it with 2-3 people. it's delicious, and yes it's as good as it sounds. garlicy, buttery, crispy truffle friends topped with lobster. - lobster garlic pasta: this is a similar vibe but in pasta form. i liked this a lot, i wish it was more sauce because you only get noodles but it's still really good and chewy! - pork brisket with cole slaw: this was $20 and not worth it. i mean the price just doesn't match the quantity you're getting. the meat was delicious but the slaw was $6 which is insane. i'd recommend you get the pulled pork burger instead. - japanese okonomiyaki: this was fantastic. it's a friend japanese veggie pancake topped with chicken, sweet sauce, and kewpie mayo. it was delicious, so filling and loaded with flavor in every bite. overall, this food fest is super fun and i would recommend to those who've never been! it's hard to choose bc all the vendors are great so i'd recommend going with a friend and sharing a bunch of things!

Such an amazing experience ! If you love food the way I do Smorgasburg is the place to be ! So many different food options!
