Stylish restaurant with a seafood-heavy Thai menu including lobster pad thai, plus cocktails.
"Snap Thai Fish House is a design marvel. The crisp, bright space is filled with big windows, gold rod benches, and dangling shapes that look like a school of fish. But it’s also 4,600 square feet. So, even with patrons sprinkled about the room at lunch and dinner, the area can still feel massive. The menu isn’t quite as imposing, but that won’t stop the tempting roster of soups, starters, and sustainable catches from flooding your or your indecisive friend’s brain. When that happens, help them find their way by suggesting the shrimp and scallop pasta bursting with basil and bell peppers or a Chilean sea bass that pairs tremendously with Massaman curry." - demarco williams, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"Snap Thai’s tasteful nautical theme is reason enough to to host a big celebratory dinner or a meet-the-parents date. But it’s also the kind of place where you have to choose your companions wisely. By that, we mean take folks who won’t condemn you for licking the last drop of green curry sauce off the plate. If you’re a seafood lover, the Buckhead restaurant has all the favorites—from a fragrant crab fried rice and tom yum lobster bisque to flaky cod in a ginger mushroom sauce. It’s the dishes, with layered flavors of lemongrass, coconut cream, and spices that really elevate this spot." - nina reeder, jacinta howard, juli horsford
"Buckhead's Snap Thai Fish House works well for a quiet lunch on their breezy front courtyard or for a buzzy Happy Hour when you want to slurp oysters and a few glasses of wine. The stylish nautical-themed space is also big enough to host a private dining event if your bougie book club only meets at places that serve chilled lobster towers. Whatever reason brings you in the door, make sure your table includes a fish entree (like the sea bass) paired with one of their sauces (we love the green creamy curry). And if the tom yum lobster bisque is on the menu, order it. The creamy soup has a sweet, herby freshness that makes it feel light." - jacinta howard, juli horsford, nina reeder
"This relatively new restaurant in Buckhead serves a variety of seafood (including dramatic plating to match) with Thai twists, including rainbow trout, cod, salmon, scallops, and lobster. Backed by the team behind the popular Bangkok Thai restaurant at Ansley Mall, Snap Thai Fish House focuses on sustainably raised and wild-caught fish, cold water lobster, and oysters. An entire section is dedicated to lobster, too, like the Thai lobster roll, lobster pad Thai, and a lobster burger made with lobster and wagyu brisket topped with Thai slaw and smoked Thai barbecue honey sauce. Chef selections are noted as massaman chicken with curry and prik king chicken with red curry chili sauce, but since fresh ingredients are a priority here, the menu changes often. Don’t miss the weekday oyster happy hour." - Carolyn Desalu
"Chef Pattie Lawlertratana’s flagship offers lobster dishes. For more casual dining, visit Bangkok Thai for classic Thai and street food." - Su-Jit Lin
