French Elegance by the Lake in the Heart of Seoul Staying at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel was an experience defined by refinement, warmth, and impeccable French hospitality. From the moment I arrived, everything felt polished, thoughtful, and best in class. I stayed in the Opera Suite with Club Millésime access, a truly extraordinary space overlooking Seokchon Lake. With 135 square meters of beautifully designed interiors in soft blues, greys, and gold accents, the suite felt both grand and serene. Waking up to snowy lake views during winter made the experience even more magical. The marble bathroom with Diptyque amenities added an indulgent touch, and every detail reflected quiet luxury. The location is exceptional. Steps away from the lake, a major shopping mall, a theme park, and directly connected to the metro, the hotel is perfectly positioned for both leisure and exploration while still feeling calm and elevated. Dining was a highlight throughout the stay. Sunset Hour at Rooftop Bar Latitude32 delivered breathtaking views, creative design, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere as the city transitioned into evening. Dinner at Chic Bistro Fait Maison was exceptional, a beautifully executed four course French experience that felt indulgent and comforting at the same time. Mornings began at Club Millésime with a refined breakfast in an intimate setting, setting the tone for each day. Service throughout was unmistakably Sofitel, elegant, warm, and attentive without ever feeling formal. A winter stay here felt luxurious, romantic, and deeply memorable.

Sofitel is truly an amazing hotel — it feels even beyond a 5-star experience. The team genuinely goes the extra mile to ensure every guest feels comfortable and well taken care of. The halal food options are fantastic, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff are attentive, professional, and very easy to communicate with as their English is excellent. Every detail in the room is thoughtfully prepared — the bed is incredibly comfortable, and housekeeping keeps everything spotless. From the bellboys at the entrance to the lift attendants and reception team, everyone is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The location is also a big bonus: it’s near the train station and right next to Lotte Mall, making everything so convenient. Fully recommended! 🌟

This is probably the best if not the very best hotel I have ever stayed at. My partner and I decided to treat ourselves at the end of our South Korean adventure, so we checked out early from the hotel that we were staying at and booked 3 nights at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul. To say we made the right decision, it's an understatement. We got a Lake View room that overlooked Seokchon Lake and Lotte World Tower. The room was super clean, well appointed, spacious and felt luxurious. The breakfast was an absolute feast with lots of options to cater for all needs. I have stayed at Accor properties before (including Sofitel) but the breakfast here was different, in a good way. The "pièce de résistance" were the staff. From the lovely gentlemens at concierge, the charming lady that was greeting everyone as they were getting of the elevator on level 6, to the very helpful reception staff, the attentive restaurant staff and the cheerful housekeeping crew, they all had their part on making our stay a truly outstanding one. Special mention to Chloe and Grace from the Spa who gave the best massage and pampered us. Thank you Sofitel Ambassador Seoul for making our stay a memorable one!

"A perfect blend of world-class service and State-of-the-art facilities." My wife and I have stayed at this hotel for the past few days. It was truly a gastronomic journey, savoring the exquisite wine selection and fabulous snacks in the gorgeous 'Millésime' lounge. However, what surprised us most during our stay was the profound warmth of the staff, even more than the mouth-watering flavors from the table. Most of the staff in the lounge were armed with perfect hospitality. They did not hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. I will never forget the humble hospitality they showed us, and I look forward to visiting the hotel again in the near future.

Loved our stay here! The service was great, and the room was beautiful and spacious. I especially loved the large bathtub. We will definitely come back next time we're in Seoul. The only downside was that we had to change elevators between the reception and our room. Also, some amenities require an additional fee.

The pre-arrival communication alone set the tone for the level of attentiveness and professionalism I experienced throughout my stay, and it made me feel both valued and well prepared before stepping foot on the property.||Despite arriving over two hours later than expected due to traffic, the spa team graciously accommodated me without hesitation. The massage itself was slightly firm but very effective, and the body scrub was absolutely wonderful. I especially loved the thoughtful flow of the spa experience — from the beautiful showers between treatments to the soothing mask and overall ambiance.||Guest Relations' Jisoo made my stay exceptionally special. She decorated my room beautifully for my birthday, including a heartfelt design on the full-length mirror that truly made me feel celebrated. She consistently complimented me whenever we crossed paths and took wonderful care of me throughout my stay, including arranging a lovely room upgrade. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness elevated my experience in a way I will never forget.||Throughout my stay, the hotel surprised me with delicious desserts and thoughtful touches that made returning to my room a joy. Breakfast was very tasty, with high-quality offerings and a relaxed atmosphere. While my American Express package did not include breakfast, the hotel generously provided a substantial credit for incidentals and dining at their restaurants, which I greatly appreciated.||Concierge Rohan was equally wonderful — kind, attentive, and highly responsive. He honored every request I had with professionalism and ease, making the entire experience feel seamless.||Sofitel Ambassador Seoul exemplifies refined luxury paired with heartfelt hospitality. From pre-arrival communication to check-out, I felt genuinely cared for and celebrated. Sofitel Ambassador Seoul is truly a French styled luxury hotel, right in the heart of one of the nicest neighborhoods in Seoul, Jamsil. Let me first start with the….. PROS: Fantastic service and attention from every single member of staff, they really went above & beyond to take care of me here. The rooms are very luxurious and offer great amenities, such as robes, slippers, and a fully stocked mini bar. The facilities this hotel has are top notch, the fitness center, multiple lounges & restaurants, pool are all very classy and luxurious. However there are some….. CONS: The pool requires a reservation if you would like to use it, they offer pool “sessions”, which typically range from 1.5-2 hours long. The two times I utilized the lap pool & jacuzzi, they were full of young children who made it nearly impossible to enjoy the pool. Further, the pool staff did nothing when clearly these young children were blocking both lanes of the pool, normally this would not be a big deal, but at a 5 star hotel such as this one, it is simply annoying & unacceptable. I also do not understand the point of reserving a time slot at the pool, when you will still be sharing it with 30 or more people, which was my experience unfortunately. Coupled with the fact that the pool area lacks sufficient seating and lounge chairs, this was my biggest disappointment while staying here. Next, the “luxury room”type is quite a small room, with a small window, it was certainly not my favorite hotel room in Seoul. And even worse, there was no smart tv, which I think should be standard in a 5 star hotel in 2026 in a modern city such as Seoul. Overall, Sofitel Ambassador Seoul is a good pick for a luxury hotel especially if you want to be close to Lotte World mall and tower. However, it is definitely not the best hotel in Seoul.

My wife and I are AmEx Platinum members and we chose to stay here as part of the THC collection. We've stayed at dozens of FHR and THC hotels across Europe, the US, and South America but this hotel was by far the most attentive and caring towards kids, specifically the check in and hotel wait staff. At check in, the receptionist gave us 2 toys which my 10 month old daughter loves, even now. Then at dinner the waitress, without even asking, brought her a blanket and pillow to sleep on because she noticed our daughter getting sleepy. Awareness and gestures like this often mean more to guests with kids than any luxury. The 5 course dinner was delicious (but expensive) however the quality was top notch. The breakfast too was very expensive but we used our hotel credit for 1 day and it was delicious and again, a different waitress brought my daughter a kids silverware set, plate, booster seat, and little plastic cup. We stayed here 2 nights during Christmas and I'd highly recommend it if you're interested in going to the Christmas market (2 minute walk) and enjoy proximity to mall for restrauants, the small lake (good for running and night walks with family), and overall great location, beautiful luxurious hotel. Thanks again to the Sofitel receptionist and hotel wait staff for their attentiveness and kinde gestures to our baby. 10/10 would recommend staying.
