Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel (Seoul, Korea) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Sofitel Ambassador isn’t the only Parisian-themed hotel in Seoul, but its efforts to channel l’esprit français are surely the most comprehensive. At first glance, this glass skyscraper, which rises up on the shores of Seokchon Lake, looks much like any other of the city’s luxury hotels. But there’s a distinctly European air to the grand marble lobby, with its elegant molded ceilings, recessed lighting, and modern crystal chandeliers. More Korean than French is the ethereal indoor pool, with an LED star-studded ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the lake and the city skyline." - Tablet Hotels

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are super friendly, always greeting us and sharing a beautiful smile every day. The housekeeper is so lovely! The kids are absolutely delighted to come back to the room each day because she arranged their cuddly toys in such fun and creative ways. This gives such a warm feeling! This is definitely a big plus! The room is spotlessly clean and tidy, with everything thoughtfully prepared. One of the chefs is also incredibly accommodating. My son only eats raw cherry tomatoes, and he cuts them up for him in the kitchen and asks every day if he would like some tomatoes. We have never experienced such excellent service before! Truly worth a 10+ rating! We will definitely be back!

Prestige rooms were spacious and clean. The city/lake view from the rooms on clear days were incredible. There was a welcome gift (wine and desserts). The club lounge on 32nd floor offers decent food for breakfast and is less crowded than the restaurant on 4th floor. Afternoon tea time was nice but most of the items were desserts. Young kids are not allowed to enter the lounge during the evening hours. Hotel's in room dining was convenient when I could not go outside. Hotel does not allow outside food unless you pay a fee. Hotel has a kids play area with a slide and books (age 8 and younger). Young kids had fun running around for a few hours. Hotel is very close to Jamsil station's Exit 10 and you can find plenty places to shop and eat within 5 to 15 min walking distance. If staying with young kids who get tired easily stroller is a must. Hotel assisted getting a taxi going to airport (about 1.5 hours to Incheon terminal 2) . Hotel also gave young kids departure gifts (stuffed animal). You can also park one car per room for free (Just let the front desk know the plate number). Hotel also has a pool and a gym. Definitely recommend this hotel if planning on staying in Jamsil area.

I had an amazing stay at Sofitel Seoul.||The location is unbeatable — everything is so accessible. From the delicious local food in Bangi-dong, to shopping at Lotte, and taking relaxing walks around Seokchon Lake, it’s all right there. Plus, with Line 2 subway station right in front of the hotel, getting around Seoul couldn’t be easier.||The staff are truly exceptional. Every single person I encountered was warm, professional, and always smiling. A special thanks to Flora, who helped me with a smooth check-in and made me feel so welcomed from the very start.||In 2025 alone, I’ve probably spent almost a month here, and every visit has been just as wonderful as the last. I can confidently say Sofitel Seoul is one of the best choices in the city.

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel in July 2025. I booked a club room with access to the lounge (even though I am an All Platinum Member and have free access to the lounge, I paid for a club room to have a room on a higher floor and a better view).||I arrived early (around 11 am) and was allowed to check-in early, which was very nice. I did not get any upgrade based on my All status (nor was I told that the hotel was full or that no upgrade was possible, which is standard practice for All, unfortunately).||My room facing the Lotte tower and overlooking the amusement park was beautiful. It was clean, modern, chic. In the afternoon, I was brought bottles of water and very nice sweets as a welcome Platinum gift together with an impersonal note welcoming me to the hotel.||The bathroom was nice with Dyptique products. The bed was very comfortable. Cleaning every day was thorough. Turn-down service was excellent. Teas and coffees in the room were good. I did send a few pieces to the laundry service which was reliable and not too expensive.||The club lounge was extremely nice with a very good view. Offerings for breakfast, afternoon tea and hors d'oeuvre were generous and tasty. The quality of the food and the drinks was high. The staff was kind.||One glitch: the second bill with my incidentals (laundry, mini-bar etc) was not credited to my All account for points as there is a computer glitch which treats two bills (room and incidentals) as two stays on the same dates and therefore rejects the second bill for points. It is very unfortunate.||Overall, a very good stay. I would probably stay here again.

We had an excellent stay at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul. The warm welcome from Jessica Lee made our arrival very special, and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious, elegant, and offered great value for money. Traveling both for business and with our 5-month-old baby, we truly appreciated the high quality of service and the attention to detail. Everything was perfectly arranged to make our stay comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on our next trip to Seoul.

This hotel exceeded expectations! Fantastic location, outstanding staff, and seamless check-in/check-out. Our spacious Magnifique Room was clean, well-equipped, and featured a lovely bidet. The breakfast spread was exceptional, and in-room meals were delicious. We didn't get to try the gym or pool, but the room's smart system (voice-controlled lights, curtains, etc.) was a standout feature. Highly recommended! Tip: Request a room with a lake or amusement park view – it's worth it over a higher floor.

Luxury hotel in great location with amazing service. We stayed in the "Luxury Room" with club access for 3 nights and then stayed in the "Prestige Suite" with club access for an additional 3 nights. Both rooms were beautiful and will meet, if not exceed, most people's expectations. Since there are plenty of information on the rooms, I will not describe them here. What is worth mentioning is the exceptional service, especially by the staff in the club lounge, "Club Millesime." I would highly recommend reserving a room with club access.||We specifically reserved rooms with club access, and we are so glad that we did. Club provided a wonderful breakfast with Korean and western options, including delicious breakfast pastries. They offered an afternoon tea, and in the evening, they had a cocktail hour, which can practically serve as dinner. These offerings were pretty impressive, but the staff in the club really made our stay memorable. Hyun was super helpful during our check-in, and Jessica helped us enjoy the afternoon tea, on one particular day, when we had practically missed it because of our schedule. The club has a large staff, and their personalities vary. What is consistent is that they all care about their guests. They are professional, friendly, and very helpful.||When booked this hotel, I did have one concern. Its location is far from the city center and from ICN airport. After my arrival, my opinion quickly changed. Hotel is actually in a wonderful location that offers easy access to a high-end shopping mall and a Korean food street known as "Bangi-Dong Food Alley." It is about 5-10 minute walk to the Jamsil subway station where lines 2 and 8 run. Line 2 can be crowded but it is also very efficient - it will take you to most of the popular places in Seoul without the need to transfer. Despite its distance from ICN airport, I would recommend taking a taxi to the hotel. In September 2025, the taxi fare during the evening, on a weekend, was about 70,000 won.||I have previously stayed at the Conrad, Intercontinental, JW Marriot, and Westin Josun. Those are all great hotels and may be attractive for those of us who have ties with Hilton or Bonvoy Marriott. I have zero status with Sofitel, but I will likely come back to Sofitel Ambassador Seoul.
