What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we sat down, everything about this restaurant felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish that came to the table was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can truly tell that a lot of care goes into both the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. It felt like every plate was crafted with attention to detail. Beyond the food, the service made the experience even more special. Our server Pablo was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and professional. He made sure we were comfortable the entire time and gave great recommendations. Nicolas, the runner, was efficient and kind, making sure everything arrived promptly and checking in with a smile. And a special thank you to the Manager, Rebeca, who was incredibly lovely and welcoming. She took the time to make us feel valued and ensured everything was perfect for our table. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both exceptional food and such genuine hospitality, but this restaurant truly does. We left happy, satisfied, and already looking forward to coming back. Came here for a few weeks ago and loved it! I think it's relatively new to the area but I would definitely come back again! For a Tuesday evening it was pretty lively which bodes well for its popularity I think. Despite being busy, the service was efficient and staff members were friendly! We tried a few different items including the tuna tartar tacos, ensalada de verano, enchiladas soledad, pato con mole (duck carnitas), and pasta seca. I have to say the tacos and enchiladas were my favorite but there's so much more on the menu we didn't get to try. For a group of 5 people this was a good amount of food though I'm sure we could have finished another entree if we tried. Will definitely return in the future!

We had a great meal at Soledad last night. We had a reservation for four, and were seated promptly at wonderful table at the front windows. Rafael took great care of us, considering he was also tending to a rather large group sitting on the other side of the door. Modelos were fresh. Drinks and cocktails were delicious, but took a while to make their way from the bar. We had the Carnitas Sushi to start. Then the ladies both got the Loma Saltido, while I had the Carne Asasa, and my friend ordered the Pato Mole. All dishes were so delicious and different from most other Latin fare that we’ve enjoyed. The desserts were also top-tier- churro sundae and Zanahoria (Carrot) Tres Leches Cake. I highly recommend this place for an elevated date spot- prices weren’t cheap (just under $100/pp) but the food and drink were memorable, and the female manager who stopped by our table was so hospitable and invited us back with our dogs to sit out front. All four of us can’t wait to return!

I’ve been to Soledad a few times, twice for brunch and once for dinner. The food is beyond delicious and presented really well. The service is always friendly and the whole place has such a nice vibe. I’ll be back many more times!

We went to Soledad last night for the first time. We enjoyed the food, but especially the drinks. It's a great place to have a date. Rebeca and Carla were super friendly and made our experience even better.

We were very happy to find this place open for breakfast at 8am! From the quality of the food to atmosphere, we loved it all. The chilaquiles had the perfect crisp and the desserts are so good. Highly recommend the corn pistachio cake and the blueberry concha. I also drink my coffee black and love that their coffee is not too strong. We will be back!

We came here for breakfast and it was sooo good! My boy friend had the Mole Shakshuka and it was amazing! So well spiced 😍 I had fish tocos which were also delicious. For drinks I had the dolce de Leche latte and my boyfriend had the cafe de olla both were delicious and not too sweet. Will definitely be coming back here again! What a wonderful find. Also the decorations are super cute and the service was excellent. Very clean place as well

This is one of those places where you have a favorite dish but it pains you to order it because the rest of the menu looks spectacular. The food is fantastic here, and great value. Staff is attentive and professional. Great blend of cafe/brunch options and full featured entrees for lunch/dinner.

This place is so good! It's perfect for a date night, or celebration meal. I had the duck carnitas and still dream of them. Literally so good. I went with my partner and we didn't have a reservation, but got lucky on a Tuesday night and they sat us in at a perfect table where we could watch the people passing outside. I don't think there is a bad table in the place. Also drinks were fire, I had a cocktail and my partner got wine. Now that I am writing this, I want to go back. If you are trying to decide if you want to try this place, do it. You won't be disappointed.

This place is new in my neighborhood! When you walk past, you were drawn to the simple, blush pink exterior, and the moody and quaint interior. The service is grade for a small restaurant, they seem to be very booked, and it is quite difficult to get a table last minute. Unless you go during off hours. The food was great a range of dishes that are Michoacan style, Mexican. I really appreciate the twist on some traditional dishes.

This is a must go place on the UES. The whole restaurant is perfection from the aesthetics to the perfectly curated menu. I went for brunch on a rainy day and was able to walk in and get a seat. The mole shakshuka was the reason we came to this place in the first and WOW it was like nothing I've had before. Even the chips and salsa were phenomenal. The huevos rancho was incredible as well. This restaurant is a place where the food justifies the price. The interior of this place would make for a great girls brunch or small event. Looking forward to going back.

Must try: Birria de Langosta and Enchilada Soledad! Why: Lobster birria tacos were delish! Inside had buttery lobster chunks with Mexican cheese, aioli, salsa verde, in a corn tortilla, and you can dip in the consomme. Loved the chicken Enchiladas too because that Salsa Verde was something else! We started with Chips and Guac plus roasted tomato chipotle salsa. I like my salsa medium and they brought an extra spicy hot one for my friend. Chips came out nice and warm too. We also had the Ensalada Soledad, which was refreshing. It came with lettuce, beets, avocado, dill, queso, pistachios, with a grilled pineapple-sherry vinaigrette. We also both got cocktails, which we enjoyed sipping on throughout the meal! Notes: new restaurant on the UES! Charming and subtle exterior with delightful spacious interior. Many tables, booth, and bar seating. I dig the decor, the light pink marble, and plants. The small flowers on each table were fresh and beautiful - good date spot. The service was super! 3 workers greeted us when we walked in. Throughout the meal, various workers came to check in, refill water, and grab our empty plates. All the workers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The bathroom was amazing too - clean, roomy, and scented when you walk in. Love the soap too - smells nice! All around fantastic dining experience! It's a fancy Mexican restaurant with smaller portions but it's packed with great flavors and has an awesome ambiance.

Soledad is a nice addition to the neighborhood! The staff were very nice and accommodating. They were happy to assist by providing recommendations. Our server recommended ordering the house margarita and upgrading the tequila for $2. The margarita was very very good! I would rate it 5 stars. I also ordered guacamole and chips and it was very tasty! I wouldn't say it was the best I ever had but I'd definitely order it again. The portion was a nice size. Lastly I ordered the carne asada which was good but it was expensive for what it was ($42) and the potatoes were much too spicy for my taste. It also only came with three tortillas which wasn't enough for me. All in all, I'm glad to have found Soledad.

This place is going to be a staple for us. We came here specifically for their brunch. Everything across the board was absolutely insane. We knew we were in for a good one when the chips by themselves were perfect. I have never seen a verde Bloody Mary and I'm here for it. I love Shakshuka but the fact they had Mole Shakshuka was awesome. The service was excellent and the interior was so cute with it all being a light shade of pink and white. It was a little pricey for Mexican food but it was honestly that amazing I don't care as you feel you are truly paying for higher quality which I would take anyday.

This was one of the best meals I've had in awhile. We started with the lobster tacos and the meatballs -- I don't have a photo of the meatballs, but you cannot miss them. They were made with pork and Iberico ham in a tomato based sauce with almond. The tacos were perfectly executed and so elevated. The service was great. The sundae was the perfect end to a perfect meal -- the best both my and my partner have ever had. I can't wait to go back.

My second visit to Soledad. My wife has been there since our 1st visit. Soledad has been popular since its opening about 2 months ago. We were fortunate to snag a table last minute. Every dish that we've had has been unique and full of wonderful flavors. Soledad serves elevated Mexican cuisine. Prices are elevated too, but well worth it. Appetizers run about $20 and entrees are around $30 to $40. Even though virtually every seat was occupied, service is attentive, friendly and professional. Our water glasses were filled regularly, dishes are served at a nice pace and cleared quickly. Decor is attractive, clean and simple. Despite the hard surfaces, noise levels were not bad. Strongly recommend Soledad and hope that more great restaurants open on the UES.

The appetizers (guacamole and chips, and tuna tortilla) were spectacular. The lomo saltado was a bit too fatty for me, and not much acidity to cut through it since it came with french fries. Nonetheless I would eat it again! The service was great and the ambiance was beautiful. I love the design.

New restaurant in my neighborhood. I had brunch outside as I had my dog with me. There are just a couple of tables and chairs in front of the restaurant. The Huevos Rancheros was full of flavor and the carrot cake Tres Leches was delicious. I also tried the Verde Bloody Maria - it had a kick but was very refreshing. The service was very attentive. It's a little on the pricey side but well worth the $$$.

We were waiting for so long to see what opened up at this location and the wait was so worth it! Delicious! The branzino dish, meatballs, and churros sundae were SO good. So well balanced and not too salty.

Wow. The food is incredible! We almost ordered everything. Don't miss the duck carnitas, lobster birria, pasta seca, tuna tiradito, crane asada, meatballs. We'll be back!

Wanted to check out this new spot in the neighborhood. Was literally still undergoing construction last time I walked by over a month ago. Has that new, elevated look. Fun atmosphere - busy on a Thursday night, good music. Would definitely recommend securing reservations as it's a small busy restaurant. Drinks were tasty. Food was overall delicious but pricy. $27 for two lobster biria tacos and $22 for two short rib + steak tacos are very expensive, but they were two of the best tacos I've ever had. The idea of lobster birria is very unique and came with a good portion of tasty lobster. The meat tacos were incredibly tender and flavorful, my mouth is watering thinking about them. The branzino was perfectly cooked and came with a nice spicy salsa that paired beautifully with it. The only disappointment was the chocolate mousse, which I strongly recommend you avoid; it was more of a dry chocolate cake, but at least the caramel, nuts, and accompaniments were good. Servers checked on us frequently and gave good advice about the menu. I plan on coming back here when friends come to visit.

Went to Soledad for my second visit last night and it was as good, if not better, as the first! Had a few repeat dishes (guacamole, mushroom soup, tuna tiradito) and introduced some new ones - the famous lobster tacos and the carnitas entree. I'm dairy free, and they were able to make the lobster tacos with no cheese for me. Absolutely unbelievable, an easy favorite. The carnitas main was delicious and fun to make the lettuce wrap tacos. Drinks were fantastic, service excellent, and the ambiance on a Saturday night couldn't be beat. Can't wait to come again and again!

A small, but first-class operation most welcome on grungy 2nd Avenue. Had brunch there Sunday. Food, ambiance and service were excellent. I plan to be a regular.

Great refined upscale Mexican restaurant! We had the branzino, enchiladas, meatballs, and churros sundae. The branzino and churro sundae were to die for, and the meatballs and enchiladas were very good as well. The churro sundae had creme bruleed bananas, fresh whipped cream with caramel, fresh churros, and caramel flavored icecream. It was honestly one of the best desserts we had. The price might seem high but is fair for the quality of the food (casual upscale). We don't drink alcohol, so the tab came out to ~$60/pp with tip for 2 entrees, an appetizer, and dessert. Everything was very flavorful, fresh, and bright without being too salty.

Excellent meal! Started with the ensalada soledad, an great salad, fresh and bright flavors. For main courses, we had the Berkshire pork carnitas and Duck carnitas. Both were excellent, bold flavors without being overpowering. You could really see the care that was put into creating each dish. The chocolate mousse/cake dessert was outstanding, again you could see someone really worked to create an original dish here. Cocktails were great, and so was the service. We'll definitely be back!

Just an excellent experience top to bottom. Service was top notch, super attentive, welcoming, and informative - and most importantly the food was delicious!! We had the Guacamole, Pato Con Mole, Milanesa, and Carrot Cake. I would order these all again if not for the fact that I'd miss out on trying the rest of the menu. We will definitely be back!

Over priced and over rated. Another restaurant attempting to try to sell gourmet food that is mediocre at best. Just go to any other reasonably priced Mexican restaurant like Mole and you will be much better off

So excited to have another restaurant in our neighborhood. They have best chips and guacamole I've ever tasted! It is worth it to go for just that alone. The food and drinks were amazing too. You can tell they use high quality fresh ingredients. I love the aesthetic and everyone that works there is really accommodating.

This is a fantastic addition to the UES fine dining scene. We had the Corunda, the shrimp tacos, and the Albondigas. We also tried the Mezcalita de Cereza and Soledad cocktails. Everything was refined and delicious, and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere is calm, beautifully lit, and inviting. Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion!

As soon as we walked into the place it just had a very good vibe. The food was delicious. I had stuffed poblano peppers with vegetables and crunchy shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious! The guacamole was so fresh! Spicy margaritas were tasty as well! Definitely going to plan a mom's night there!

Absolutely fantastic-delicious food with complex flavors, reasonable price and great portions. Recommend looking at some sides too-the potatoes were delicious!! And churros sundae...come on you can't say no. Great service as well.

The interior and ambiance of this new restaurant are a pleasant surprise to the neighborhood. The server was very good - pleasant, patient and no attitude. While the food was very good, not amazing, the prices are too high for the amount of food. For example, the duck while tasty came with "plantains" aka maduros, yet there were two tiny (half-inch) slices of plantain on the plate. The short rib taquito appetizer was also very good, yet skimpy on the short rib. The albóndigas themselves could have had more taste, but the sauce helped the cause, but, yet again a bit skimpy for the price. All in all, the service and ambiance both great, but they could do better with the food to compensate for the price. Please step it up.

Went to Soledad with my boyfriend and we both agreed this one of the best meals we've had in NYC. The flavors were incredible, drinks were strong, and the service was top notch! The Lobster Birria tacos are a MUST order. We already can't wait to go back!

Delicious food and cocktails! Great spot for high-end Mexican food. We had the Soledad cocktail and the mezcalita de cereza, both of which were well balanced and interesting. For food, we shared the guacamole, albondigas, dorados de camaron, and corunda, which was just enough for two people. Everything was great, but the corunda and albondigas were particular standouts. Service was very attentive and smooth, even though they're brand new. Great addition to the neighborhood!
