"If there's such a thing as ‘industrial elegance’, then they’ve found it at this bang on-trend spot in the city’s meat-packing district. Exposed wires and concrete pillars combine with white tablecloths in a chic space that’s proving hugely popular with Stockholm’s diners. It’s owned by the experienced operators behind Adam / Albin and is an impressively well-run place; the cooking borrows from around the world, including small selections of tacos and wood-fired pizzas. On a cold day, sit round the impressive fire-lit chimney." - Michelin Inspector

"Run by Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman of Michelin-starred Adam & Albin, Solen is a large, welcoming venue in the meatpacking district. The menu takes inspiration from the chefs’ many trips to Los Angeles, as well as cuisines around the world. The dining room, which is outfitted with a high ceiling and an open kitchen, holds almost 150 seats, making it a great place to dine with a group." - Per Styregård

We celebrated my mother's birthday here. I reached out before by mail to set everything up and make sure we get a nice table and all arrangements were set. Imidiate and sufficient response from the management. Everything I requested was fulfilled with an impeccable service. Friendly, charming and quiet service. Each dish was delicious and very flavorful. You for sure can taste the wood fire in the kitchen. The fine smokey flavors could be tasted throughout most dishes. I won't nitpick about the dishes but be sure that the dishes are created with a deep understanding for matching flavor profiles. It does get loud in the dining hall when the place gets packed. I would recommend an early dinner to get the chance to have quiet conversations. The only thing that didn't quite matched the dining experience are the paper table cloths. The dinner for the 3 of us has cost 400 euro including a nice bottle of French wine. It's not an every days resteraunt but for special occasions I would happily return. Tack så mycket

Lovely vibe, both indoor and outdoor area are nice. The food is great, especially love the starters shrimps and squid. Staff are friendly. We really enjoyed the meal and had a great dinner time in the summer evening.

An amazing place that serves amazing food! I had Seabass (see picture), and I dear to say it’s the best Seabass I’ve ever tasted! The Prosciutto pizza was also out of this world tasty! It was all closed with lovely dessert, Strawberry Crostata :-) Finally I have to add the Vietti Wine🍷 A top league Nebbiolo!

One of the best restaurants in Sthlm and maybe the only place with world-class service staff that is easy-going and very professional at the same time. Wonderful interior, beautiful setting. The food was spectacular! A joy to watch the team working.

For an extraordinary culinary experience coupled with a unique interior from a former slaughterhouse, this is the place to visit. It stands out as one of the most prominent restaurants in Stockholm. The standout items during this lunch were the hummus and pasta, complemented by a diverse selection of quality wines. While the staff was extremely friendly, a touch more professionalism and education could enhance the experience, though that's just a personal preference. Overall, I highly recommend it and plan to return!

SOLEN, Fantastic cocktails, great atmosphere… but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had accidentally walked into an art gallery and decided to have a picnic on a white cardboard sheet. Dining on a piece of cardboard was an interesting experience, to say the least. The tablecloth and I got a little too familiar—I had to rest it on my lap, and unfortunately, it wasn’t the cleanest. The small, round table made it impossible to tell where the cardboard ended, so my fork took a leap of faith and is probably still enjoying its journey with gravity. My partner had pork and was quite happy, but since I don’t eat pork or chicken, I was stuck with pizza. The dough was nice, but the flavor felt a little incomplete, and the crust had clearly spent too much time contemplating life in the oven. The fries tasted like burnt butter and were also good. The hummus-Muhammara starter was actually great, but the pita bread that came with it was completely raw inside. I couldn’t help but wonder—how can such a tiny piece of bread feel so incredibly heavy? A question for science, I suppose. The wine selection is solid, especially if you’re getting a bottle. By the glass, there are about five options—not bad, but not amazing. Would I go back? Absolutely! Those cocktails need to be revisited. But next time, I’d prefer it if my fork didn’t decide to explore the floor…
