Really enjoyed this unassuming Italian. We had a Caesar salad and sausage pizza (one was gluten free). Hit the spot. Not loud inside so we could hear a normal conversation. Non alcohol beer too! Other entrees looked great. We will be back!

Visited here recently for happy hour. Service was very friendly from the time I walked in. The pizza was good but I've had better. Drinks were good too. Loved the French fries 🍟

Sotto13 is one of those restaurants that just makes you feel good. Well-priced, delicious, high quality Italian food. Great ambiance especially with the see through rooftop in the back. Service was attentive and friendly. I was there with a small party of family and close friends as part of a groomsmen day out and we always felt tended to by our server Henry who was on point. Highly recommend Sotto13.

My wife and I have walked by this place for years and finally decided to give it a try. So glad we did. The space is beautiful - great, cozy bar up front and a stunning room in the back with a a skylight to let the sun shine in. The pizza and pasta delivered, but our favorites were probably the smoked salmon dish for brunch and the Prosecco Tray. (Just order it… so much fun!)

Celebrating my frd birthday there, good ambience and good food. We tried the NY restaurant week menu was way better than we expected. The servers are really accommodating and friendly! Loved the Pizza and Octopus. 🐙 one of the best !

pretty good! The service was good, cute place. We all tried and shared the shroom pizza, di parma pizza, the fusilli pasta dish and the arancini. we were 4 of us and it was a good amount of food. The pizza was thin and crunchier which I liked (so it's not napolitan style) better. We had the limoncello creme brûlée and tiramisu for dessert and probably next time I'll pass on dessert. but still nice to try. they are still working out some kinks if you decide to pay by QR code on the receipt (I'd recommend doing a a different way bc we had to wait a while in the end). thanks!

Relaxing dinner with family on Saturday night. Sausage pizza as shared appetizer was cooked well and served very timely. Pasta dishes were al dente and fresh. Everyone sampled each other's entree. Rigatoni with veal and Carbonara were the family favorites. Desserts sampled family style. Tiramisu and Bomboloni were the MVPs. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Very relaxing.

Omg I'm loving this place. Had dinner outside on a late afternoon in the warm sun with a friend. Great specialty cocktails, great food, great service. I have zero complaints!

Idk where to start! This was great. Came during happy hour so 2 for 1 drinks, but you have to get both drinks for yourself (perfect for me haha). Food was really good. Sat outside even though it was 90+ degrees but very enjoyable. Service was great and they take Apple Pay!

RATING: 7.3/10 I will say that the service is outstanding here. Really felt welcomed - right when I walked in, I think either the manager or owner was there greeting me and he continued to check in on our table throughout the night (we're really no one special, and it was our first time). The service gets a 10/10 The food was good too - notably the OCTOPUS appetizer was really delicious, had a nice crisp char and the best texture to it. Really fresh tasting and great job to the chefs because octopus is really easy to overcook and make tough as a result. TUNA TARTARE - was solid too, although because there's so much of these dishes in the city it's hard to stand out. I think that while we enjoyed it, it would benefit from a crispy component to pair with. CORN POP (COCKTAIL) - this was really delicious - if you like sour its got that nice lemony sweet and sourness while also having this sweet creaminess from the corn. A highlight of the evening for me as someone who likes all these things. CAVATELLI - silly me was trying to be too healthy and I didn't -love- this but I think because it's the healthier veggie forward option. But I will say the pasta was really good texture-wise: al dente with a really satisfying chew. My friends got the veal pasta and it was delicious!

I went for brunch and wanted to do a la carte but it turns out that they only allow the bottomless/shared brunch option now. However I did appreciate that they accommodated for my friend with allergies and let us do a la carte this one time. The food wasn't anything to write home about. The salmon was too salty for me. Overall was a little underwhelmed.

Sotto 13 is a fantastic place. With a beautiful interior, warm upscale vibes, and wonderful staff, it is impossible to go wrong. Every taste of the cocktails and the food was delicious, and with so many options it is the perfect find for anyone and any occasion! Some highlights included the carbonara, osso buco, and corn pop cocktail! I was really impressed with my entire experience here, and I will be returning and highly recommending it to anyone in NYC! ALSO: our server Helder was particularly spectacular and helped make the experience even more marvelous!

Celebrated a friend's birthday here with a party of 6 on a Saturday evening with reservations at 6:30pm. The restaurant was about 60-70% full by then, with reserved tables filling up the back area seating as dinner wore on. There's outdoor covered seating for about 12-14 people directly at the entrance, though it was a bit chilly so no one was seated there when we arrived. Right inside there's a bar to the left with bar seats and seating at high tables to the right. The back of the restaurant with sky lights set into high ceilings has a more formal feel. Food was quite good, decent appetizers, quality pasta and main dishes, and from feedback of the diners at our table everyone enjoyed the food. We ordered the arancini $18, pear salad $17, Di Parma pizza $25, spaghetti carbonara $27, pork osso buco $35, linguine clams $28, gnocchi with lamb sausage $29, broccolini $12, chocolate almond cake $12, and several drinks. They provide focaccia and olive oil for the table. Being Italian food it does tend to get quite heavy considering at carbs, olive oil, cheese, but the food didn't come off as greasy, I think because they used good olive oil. Service was terrific, very attentive and knowledgeable since a few people in our party had food sensitivities. Overall solid spot for an Italian meal.

overall- good place for happy hour and lite bites. it could also be a nice date spot as the vibes of the place felt intimate and romantic. wasn't a huge fan of the pasta. the pasta was a bit clumped together and hard to pull apart and it had only been 5 minutes since they set it down on our table for us. the pizza was pretty good but didn't wow me. wasn't super crispy but the flavor was nice. the crispy potatoes was my favorite thing we ordered. perfect crispness and the flavor was great too we got happy hour drinks and they were great! our favorite was the strawberry flavored cocktail (can't remember the name of it). workers were also very attentive

The food is amazing here! This place has authentic Italian food! How do I know? Because I've been to Italy a few times and was able to say the food is here comparable to the food I had in Italy! The pizza, pasta and risotto! Delicious. The appetizers (meatballs and rice balls) all lived up to expectations! The gelato! Decadent! We will be back soon to try more! Hello! Hello! AllFunNewyork from instagram here! First review of 2024 and it goes to Sotto 13! It was very good! Their drinks were def delish but their food WOW! For Antipasti we had The octopus was super yummy, the Mussels with shrimp and octopus and the tomatoe sauce was truly incredible!! . For main plates we had the Hanger steak - with the brandy green peppercorn and wowwwww! Perfectly cooked and delish! I would get it again for sure! My partner had the Osso Buco and she loved it . I would definitely recommend this place. The staff super friendly and gave good recommendations! The ambiance is elegant, for a date night would work very well. Overall 5 .

It's been a long time since I've been here, last time was pre-covid, but every time I come here it reminds me why it is one of my favorite brick oven pizza places in the city! Great for a date night or girls night out, the place seems small & intimate in the front but has a huge back room that still has this romantic feel. Started with the Burrata appetizer, the corn loaf is an odd choice for burrata but a solid app. For pizza a friend & I shared a Shroom pizza. The mushrooms & truffle oil go so well together. I love the fluffy dough with a solid crust but to take this pizza to the next level add the house made chili oil. Amazing! I want to buy a jug of it. Can't wait to come back!

Good but sort of forgettable Italian spot - to be fair though, in a city with so many amazing Italian restaurants it's pretty hard to stand out! We went here for dinner and shared a salad, pizza and pasta - I was wanting to do another appetizer initially but I'm glad we didn't because that was plenty of food! Everything was pretty good but I think the pasta had a slight edge over the pizza - you could definitely tell it was fresh pasta, which I love! I'm glad we were able to sneak in without a reservation on a Friday evening - because of this, we were seated in the front near the bar instead of in the main dining room in the back. It was surprisingly sort of quiet by the bar, but the main dining area seemed pretty lively - I would recommend making a reservation in advance so you can be seated there! The service was good, and I think overall that it's probably a reliable spot if you live close by but in this city with endless dining options it's not necessarily someplace I'd return to or go out of my way for!

Just ok. Wanted to love it, but want to give them a 3.5/5. For starters, if you don't opt in the bottomless brunch meal they make it so complicated. We wanted to get just entrees and having a craving for avocado toast I decided to order just that and add scrambled eggs to which the waiter got flustered and had to check with the kitchen??? Not sure if that was as big of an ask as he was making it. He came back and told me it'd be an additional $12 for 2 scrambled eggs...I digress. I ended up ordering the Tuscan eggs which is their take on shakshuka. This was definitely a winner in my books but I didn't appreciate the lack of bread options especially for those with dietary restrictions. Not awful but not somewhere I'm dying to come back to.

We picked this place because it was the only one with a table for the time we wanted. What a great surprise! The food, service and ambiance were wonderful. My tuna tartare appetizer was delicious and made perfect. My wife's appetizer was a tasty mélange of shrimps, mussels, octopus and crunchy bread in a red sauce, all of which was outstanding. I had the lamb sausage with Gnocchi for the main and my wife had the spaghetti in clam sauce. Both soooo very good!! We finished up with an affogato and some ice cream. This was a wonderful meal, and the service was helpful and timely. It's a large place with tables nicely spread out. This place is on our "visit again" list. A great find.

Solid place for Italian food! Was able to get a reservation for 5 fairly easily for a Saturday night. I got the pomodoro pasta and the cacio e Pepe. The pomodoro was good, found it to lack a bit of salt but it tasted really really fresh. The cacio e Pepe was the star! So perfectly cooked and the sauce had the perfect balance of cheese and pepper. Would come back just for the cacio e pepe! Overall, a very solid place to satisfy your Italian craving.

Sotto 13 is nestled on a quiet street which gives a an awesome "I'm off work ready to chill" vibe. The manager and the staff were extra attentive to our needs and took their time giving recommendations. My overall experience of the food, ambience and service was enjoyable. It was a delightful time and I was able to catch up with friends and an enjoy a night out.

Came here on a Wednesday night with a friend and had the shroom truffle pizza and Arancini balls along with a glass of Lambrusco and it was delicious. Loved the pizza more than the arancini but both were pretty good. It was a bit loud but great service and easy to get in without a reservation. A bit pricey with a $23 pizza but with an appetizer and pizza we were good- but if you are very hungry get another pizza or apptz.

We've walked by this place for years and FINALLY decided to give it a try for brunch. So glad we did. The space is beautiful, the food was terrific, and the service was spot-on. The Social Brunch in particular was so much fun. Don't sleep on this place!

Although the atmosphere and drinks were great, the food here was mediocre. For drinks, I had a glass of wine and mezcal margarita both of which I enjoyed. We opted to share a number of appetizers and a pasta dish - meatballs, arancini, caesar salad, burrata, and the ragu pasta. The stand out was the arancini which was crunchy with a soft center and a perfect balance of flavors. All the other dishes were really just okay- not bad, not great. With how many great Italian restaurants there are in the area, I would recommend skipping Sotto 13 for dinner but perhaps trying it out for a drink.

Went for brunch and it was so good! Definitely want to come back for dinner. The make your own mimosa bar was so fun! Really nice staff as well. The restaurant is in a brown stone in the west village and has sunroof windows so has some really nice natural lighting

YES, YES, YES! Sotto13 served it down house boots yasss mama. *Smack* Food- Incredible Drinks- Delectable Servers- Devine Service- Impeccable The moment we walked in it was a great experience. I'm not sure if I just look like the type of person that would later have something to say or they are just always on top of it. The bartender served up some amazing vodka martinis, manhattans and a Clarified Negroni. We went for resturant week so there was a prefix menus. Plenty of delicious sounding dishes available but the only meat I eat is in the bedroom so my options were limited. I settled on the Burrata, Cavatelli & Bomboloni. My best Judy got Roasted Beets, Roasted Chicken & Crème Brulé. 10/10 highly recommend!!!

First time in the city and this place was amazing!! Clam linguine was delish. Ambiance and servers were incredible. We had an 11 person reservation and they handled it, no problem. I have no idea how they managed to bring out all 11 entrees at the same time so perfectly hot! Would so recommend.

The food is always delicious, fresh and tasty and the service from Alessio makes the evening!

Edwin was AMAZING! The pizza is SOOO good. I got the gluten free crust and it was INCREDIBLE. I really love it here and I can't wait to come back. 10/10 can't wait to come back. The limoncello crème brûlée was also great.

The ambience here was great and super easy to make a reservation. I didn't realize most people came for only the $45 social brunch which was such a good deal, but we weren't drinking so we just did a la carte and shared the 3 items. The waffle BLT was so delicious, the waffles were infused and soft, the mushroom truffle pizza could've been better imo because it just all tasted super mushy and not a strong truffle taste. The Benedict was also good and on bread instead of an English muffin, but the taste didn't stand out too much. Overall a great experience with awesome service as well!

I've come here on several special occasions, and each time the staff has been so incredibly welcoming, it makes it a joy to come back again and again. We took our daughter there to celebrate her graduation, and they gave our entire party a sweet Zeppoli treat on the house which was so thoughtful. But most important of all, the food is really delicious!! It's nice to be able to always count on the quality of the food.

This classic menu and mood lighting really made for a lovely meal. The portions were hefty so come hungry!! But is it my favorite cozy italian spot in nyc? Probably not. We both got items that were specials and were truly amazing but the actual menu was what to be expected from any italian restaurant. In no way was this a disappointment, but maybe not the highest on my list of recommended italian spots. I do commend their gluten free options! Always a plus.

Victor and his staff have been very attentive and wonderful to us! The food and the ambiance are just amazing and relaxing! Nothing crazy loud or crowded but very relaxing and enjoyable ambiance! Me and my partner loved our time there!

It's been a while since I encountered a restaurant that had such a strict credit card cancelation AND change fee (2 days!) - especially somewhere that I found to be fairly casual and not very busy at all. But hey, 4 stars...could be worth it? Well...read on. Things started off a little rocky with a $15 glass of montepulciano, one of the least expensive glasses on the menu, which was honestly one of the cheapest pours I've ever had in a restaurant. I almost thought the glass was an illusion, where the rest of the liquid was hiding in a reflection of itself and you actually got a very nice pour disguised as a bad one. Well, imagine my disappointment in finding out that this was just a normal glass. Needless to say, my second drink was a beer. One split Caesar salad, one Margherita pizza, one veggie pizza, one prosciutto pizza, and an octopus app that served as a meal. The octopus, albeit tasty, was pitifully microscopic. The photos we saw had two decently sized pieces. This had one "okay" sized one. And far too many potatoes. Salad was ok, the lettuce was more of the white side of the romaine than the green side. The pizzas, however, were nice. Thin with good doughy crust, nice taste and texture, good sauce. Not bat at all. However: the bill for 4 people, only one of whom (me) drank anything besides water, with no apps, far too expensive for what we got. I looked at the bill for several minutes to try to figure out where the mistake was. Oh, and the kicker? We got asked to leave. Our res was at 6:15, we got things rolling around 6:45, and come 7:50, we are slowly wrapping up, chatting, etc., and we got the boot from our waiter - apparently "another reservation" was arriving shortly. Well, I looked around, and I kid you not, the restaurant was more than half empty. Even the busiest restaurants during COVID never kicked me out, even when table time was kinda tracked. Oookay...

Restaurant geared for a 25-35 age group. High top tables everywhere, loud music where this 'deaf' generation has to have loud music and scream their conversations! Food was ok, but was so turned off by everything else, I would never go back. Ps I had hoped this would have been great, it is literally a half a block from my apt.

Sotto13 is a quaint Italian restaurant in the west village. Our waiter kindly brought us bread to stave off our hunger while we perused the menu. Our table of 4 shared the arugula salad, Caesar salad, and 2 pizzas. The arugula salad was refreshing and well-dressed-- I highly recommend pairing it with pizza for a well-balanced meal. The prosciutto pizza was basically cheese pizza with arugula and sliced prosciutto on top-- they could do more with it. The spicy sausage pizza was savory and definitely one-upped the other in my opinion. Both pies had thin crust, which is always my favorite. I recommend Sotto13 for a weeknight dinner of pizza and wine. The martinis were subpar, so stick to vino!

Celebrated a friend's 30th here on a Friday at 7pm, the ambiance was nice & loved the sunroof in the back. We ordered some cocktails and a bottle of white wine to share along with some appetizers and entrees for everyone. For appetizers we ordered the octopus, mussels, and arugula & herb salad, which were all good. Octopus was my favorite, it was tender. For entrees, we ordered a pie of pepperoni picante, prosciutto pizza, carbonara and pappardelle. Pizza was good, but it didn't stand out. I would recommend the carbonara, it was very well done. Our server was friendly and provided us extra plates for the cake. Apparently, there is HH but only from 5-6pm and only at the bar and patio (a bit restricting). I would recommend this for any occasion, but would like to come back on a date.

I was honestly expecting more from this place considering the reviews are so good, but I was a bit underwhelmed. I got the rigatoni and shared the shroom pizza with a friend. Food: Rigatoni - There was nothing too special about this dish. The pasta was cooked well, but I felt like the sauce lacked flavor. I wish I could taste more of the lamb flavors coming through, but I couldn't taste much. Shroom - This pizza is really good and a popular choice for a reason. It's a nice thin crust pizza, topped with ricotta and truffle oil. The mushrooms on top were thinly sliced and soft to the bite. Highly recommend getting this pizza if you're here. Drinks - I got the apple picking cocktail which was pretty good! Tasted like apple juice with a hint of alcohol. My friend ordered the daiquiri #2 which was not my favorite because it was sooo strong. Service and setting: The service here was good and our server was pretty quick. We didn't have to wait too long either for drinks and food to come. The setting itself though is really loud and it was difficult to hear my friends from across the table.

You cannot beat this brunch deal. 2 entrees, an app, side, & a pitcher for 2 all under $50 each? Expect to leave here stuffed with the amount of delicious food that's about to be brought to your table. You might have to waddle out like we did. Their truffle pizza is to dieeee for and the pineapple margarita is strong, yet not overly sweetened. Let's talk about the vibe- a very open layout full of natural lighting. All staff members are very friendly and attentive. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Overall, my experience was great and I am definitely returning!

We came to Sotto 13 tonight with friends (a first visit). We had reservations for 6:00 and were seated quickly and comfortably. The place got busier and we were not rushed at all (and we don't drink alcohol so we are used to being pushed along for higher tips). We enjoyed the burrata appetizer. We ordered two pizzas (shroom and spicy sausage), the grilled octopus appetizer and lobster ravioli special. We very much enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the time for good conversation!
