"Right on East 23rd near Baruch College, Sous Vide Kitchen is a fast-casual spot that deploys a cooking method that was all the rage a few years ago. It refers to itself, rather absurdly, as a “virtual food hall.” Nothing virtual about it: The usual bowls and sandwiches are offered, with the meats, fish, and poultry done to a turn. Particularly good is a Vietnamese banh mi made with red curry beef, but other heroes have barbecue and Latin themes. There’s plenty of seating, and a coffee bar is implanted right inside the front door." - Eater Staff

5 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in NYC - Eater NY

"The techification of dining continues: On Wednesday, a new place being billed as a ‘virtual food hall’ is opening in Flatiron — a business called Sous Vide Kitchen where people order from different vendors at one digital kiosk. Nearly everything, as the name suggests, is cooked with the sous vide method. It’s an ordering style that’s already being employed in airports across the country, where people can pick from a range of options on iPads. It’s also similar to cafeterias across NYC or even on college campuses, where people can pick up food from a slew of vendors that share a single cashier. Sous Vide Kitchen, located at 119 East 23rd St. between Park and Lexington avenues, was indeed inspired by these other things, says Alexis Depietro, director of operations for the business. A restaurants operations consulting group called JBH Advisory Group is the major stakeholder behind Sous Vide Kitchen, and the idea grew out of taking tons of different trends in the industry and putting them in one place. Here, people can browse — and pay for — the options via four different self-service screens, hence the high tech name of ‘virtual food hall.’ Despite the name, human employees make the food via an assembly line similar to other fast-casual restaurants, with options like brisket sandwiches, Mediterranean fare like baba ganoush, Latin cuisine, ban mi sandwiches, and salads. And diners can still sit inside the space, which spans 2,600-square-feet and has room for 50. JBH’s pitch is that it’s a marked operational change from other food halls: ‘There’s really not another food hall where you can get various types of food, entirely different menus, but you don’t really have to wait in separate lines,’ Depietro says. ‘We think we’re really revolutionizing that aspect of it.’ Chances are, this won’t to be a huge destination for the food-obsessed. Unlike other trendy new food halls, the primary vendors here have no major names attached to them; people from JBH manage all of the ‘concepts.’ One of the restaurants, a Vietnamese fast-casual restaurant called BONmi, is the only to have a brick-and-mortar prior to the opening of Sous Vide Kitchen. The others, like Eso Latin, were delivery-only restaurants, another big trend in the restaurant tech world (and one that’s had questionable success). But whether or not the food itself is worth traveling for, Sous Vide Kitchen is certainly a development in the way that restaurants are trying to use tech and slim down on labor. More fast-casual restaurants are considering eliminating cashiers in part to decrease time in line and in part to cut costs, and this seems to take it to another level. Still, it has not been a perfect ride: After introducing cashless-only kiosks, Shake Shack for example ended the practice when customers demanded to pay instead with cash. Sous Vide Kitchen opens on Wednesday. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Serena Dai

Today I ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich via Seamless. Menu said with a picture that it came with pickles cabbage pickled onions crispy onions. As you can see from my picture there was nothing on the sandwich just a pile of bland pulled pork very disappointing. The Mac and Cheese was good. Not worth the money

Made my own bowl but honestly forgot what the ingredients were lol. Good though!

Google
It’s okay. I do like the BONmi bowls but the quality is very inconsistent. I’ve been 3 times because it’s close to my work, every time the same dish was slightly different. It’s also super expensive for what you’re getting. The refrigerator for grab & go is always warm. I want to like them because the workers are friendly, but it’s too inconsistent for me.

Google
Today, I stopped by this restaurant to pick up and order for it to be delivered. I’ve never seen someone make a simple process so difficult. Prior to walking in, I marked the order as picked up by accident and when I walked in this was the very first thing I shared with the lady. I said it was an accident and it is being fixed right now. She then went to call to support to verify. After waiting there for about 10 minutes I ask, should I come back in 5 minutes will it be ready maybe. She said yes. Fast forward, this lady tells me to cancel my order, she prefers someone else to pick it up. Like why not say that the first time? I really don’t care because there are many orders to complete but just shows the low class, no integrity, and fake personalities of the workers there.

Healthy options. Bon mi flavors taste flat - definitely not authentic Vietnamese. But for an “inspired” bowl it’s pretty good. You need a specific card to scan at the order station for the student discount - so no discount :( lots of seating and room to breathe which is rare in the area.

Google
Nice place with a variety of food offerings. Upscale and maybe a little getting used to ordering/paying via touch screens. We were very satisfied with the Banh mi sandwich and the chicken/quinoa/veggie bowl. The place also has an area with a Proof coffee shop which is pretty good. Will come back and try other dishes on menu.

Google
Discovered this place a few days ago and I'm obsessed. You can order from a variety of different types of cuisines here but my favorite are the build your own bowls under SVK. All of their ingredients are wholesome and not processed (most are organic, if not all). Their lamb is exquisite and you HAVE to try the chili lime slaw. SO SO GOOD! Pricing is totally fair as well. Not sure why I don't see this place more packed but it's a MUST TRY! Thank me later...

Google
The coffee is hand made and great. Highly recommend the Onion and garlic quiche as well as the feta cheese spinach turnover. The staff was super friendly and Abrar gave me great recommendations and made my coffee in front of me. He asked Me how I’d like it and was very nice. Workers like this make me want to explore nyc and drink coffee alone. Great vibe and good coffee. Can’t go wrong!! 🤩

Yelp
This place saved the day when my groups intended lunch spot shockingly/sadly/tragically closed down. I don't think I am being too dramatic. Sous Vide Kitchen is an awesome little food hall. Instead of having to go to individual counters to order separate things, everything is done via iPads, making it extremely easy. Our group of 8 or so ordered everything in under 10 minutes. Everything looked good on the menu and they have everything from sandwiches, salads, grain bowls, ribs, literally everything. I got the High Give Rice & Quinoa bowl from the Bon Mi menu. It was incredible. It had pulled pork and everything had this sweet pineapple taste to it. I was a big fan. Everything compliment everything really well. It wasn't quite noon yet so it wasn't very busy at all. We were able to push a bunch of tables together so all of us could sit comfortably together. I definitely recommend coming here if you have a group. There are plenty of tables and I can't see you ever having trouble getting a seat.

Yelp
Pretty good for a mealpal meal. Ended up getting the spicy lamb salad which is under the name "Mediterranean pure foods" on mealpal. I had not been here before but it looks like one would just go to the back and order off a varied menu. It looks like there is only one kitchen but they're doing a lot of things here. The salad came with everything advertised but the hummus. The rice was a sweet or a coconut rice. Super moist and good. The lamb itself wasn't bad but you could tell they pre made it a little bit earlier than my pickup time of 1245. The kofta was great and the other ingredients were fresh. I'd come back for more mealpal or other items.

Yelp
Sous Vide Kitchen is overwhelming in the best way possible. There are so many different options that it is tough to know where to start! The concept is simple - around five or six fast casual NYC restaurants serving food under one roof. Unlike other food halls that I've been to there are not different stands for each vendor. Instead, you order from a giant touchscreen and everything is made behind one counter. There are a variety of food options and it's enough to satisfy nearly every craving. Perfect if you are headed here with a big group of people! Types of cuisine include Mediterranean, BBQ, Latin, classic healthy and Vietnamese. I went with a create your own Latin bowl from Eso. Chicken over greens with a variety of toppings like grilled corn, pickled veggies and black beans. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the best part was the chimichurri sauce which was super flavorful. This is a great lunch option in Flatiron and I'm pumped that they opened near my office. Hopefully I'll be back soon, but next time I'll have to prepare by checking out the menu online beforehand. So many choices!

Yelp
My office best friend and I found out about this spot on Yelp and thought it was pretty cool, so we decided to give it a shot back in December 2018. There's a number of food vendors in this food hall and all available in the kiosks available. I typically came here with her or by myself to just get a healthy food bowl for lunch. The food bowls I typically had were delicious, healthy, and definitely a combination of flavors and texture. This wasn't a place I frequented, typically because I felt it was a bit pricey. It's not a bad spot to visit once in a blue moon.

Yelp
What to try: the ribs - so crazy tender and juicy! Also the viet sandwiches, the mixture of ingredients and sauces are wonderful. What to avoid: the street corn, it's not very flavorful, nor was it very cheesy, important parts of street corn! The sesame noodle wasn't great either, but that may also have been because there wasn't enough peanut sauce! Be mindful: this place tends to give you too little sauce, so you should try to ask for more. I haven't done so, so I don't know if they charge more but it's already a pricey place. For example, the ribs (so good) come with a small dallop of BBQ sauce (also so good) and I ran out of rib before BBQ.

Yelp
Do not be fooled by the fancy French name or pictures. It was not even worth the $1 ritual deal for a pork belly Bann Mi. There's nothing that remotely resembles a Viet Banh Mi besides maybe the bread. The pork belly is cut way to thick. The lady here that works the front desk is atrocious and rude. She was browsing on the phone, I had to say excuse me SEVERAL extra loud times. Once I said I had a ritual order she said, "what you ordered this like two hours ago". If she actually read my ritual order it said my pickup time. If management doesn't see this review or the past reviews complaining of this lady they obviously don't care about quality food or quality customer service. I would like a refund please. Not worth $1 or the3 train commute. **See photos.

Yelp
I walked in this place with no particular craving. Boy was I pleasantly surprised and in for a treat. This spot has it all! I couldn't decide on what to order so I got a little of everything. They have so many cuisines! I think the only way to break it down is by each order. The Banh Mi: I have high standards for a good Banh and this one was nothing short of spectacular. The pork was moist and flavorful, brought together by the fresh vegetables. The bread was soft and toasty, exactly as it should be! Even for a simple sandwich it can be hard to pull of, but they nailed it! PRO TIP: Use the spicy mayo for a good kick. The BBQ Pork Ribs: My god these were tasty. Usually you have to buy a half/full rack when you see ribs on a menu so this was a great appetizer! The pork is cooked to perfection and they don't overdo the sauce on them, which I think is great. Sometimes too much sauce is overpowering and takes away from the meat natural flavor. A MUST try. The Mediterranean bowl: Every ingredient was so fresh and delicious. Definitely use the Tzatziki sauce it's so good!! The Artichokes were a staple of this bowl and don't you DARE leave them off the order. Corn Bread: As the saying goes, save the best for last. I mean every dish was delicious but MAN I COULD SING SONGS ABOUT THIS CORNBREAD. Seriously, this cornbread is my JAM. So good that I had to order some to go, 1 serving wasn't enough! The outer layer had a light crispness beautifully complimented by the soft and spongy core. I will definitely be frequenting this place from now on. VIVA LA SVK!

Yelp
Though sometimes kiosk-only restaurants make me a bit sad, I don't think this spot loses any of its humanity thanks to the super friendly staff and the made-to-order quality of the dishes. It's a great option for when you're out to lunch with a big group with varied tastes, eating restrictions, etc. You can choose from Latin, Vietnamese, Southern BBQ, healthy bowl, and Mediterranean themed 'stands' (though there are no stands, just one kitchen behind the kiosks that makes everything). I went with the 1/2 chicken platter from Pulled and Chopped with the street corn salad and mac and cheese for an additional $1. I was so impressed by the super tender chicken, and happily surprised that my platter came with corn bread as well. It ended up being a huge meal - easily enough for two people. Will keep that in mind for next time and maybe share! I loved the mac and cheese as well, though the corn salad was a tad under-flavored. My dining companions tried the other options like a Latin bowl from Eso and a banh mi from Bon Mi. Everyone was really impressed with the flavors, the meat especially (I guess when you're called Sou Vide Kitchen you kind of have to have great meat!). The kiosk is probably super easy to use if you're just grabbing a meal for one or two people, but for eight it did get a bit unwieldy - though chances are if we were ordering from a human cashier there would be more errors overall! There are some slight bugs in the system, like when the description says a platter comes with a side but then doesn't let you choose a free side, or when the scanner has a hard time picking up the drink barcodes then charges you for three. So just make sure you take a careful look at the final tally before checking out!

Yelp
#I got a chicken bowl (MealPal) from BONMi. It was good. I liked it. They have #Sriracha and Chili sauce that you can douse on. I'm excited to try it again, but less hot sauce next time. I put way too much. I was confused about the new name of the place though - Sous Vide Kitchen - A Virtual Food Hall. That name implies that they #sous vide everything and I was like that couldn't be the case. But it is #the case according the description on the wall. But I didn't understand why it was a #Virtual Food Hall. It's a real place. There's no virtual reality. I own a couple of #VR headsets and this is nothing like it. Although I usually use them for porn.

Missy B.

Yelp
So glad I found this place! The rice and quinoa is so good and the chicken is juicy (not dry!) Plenty of spacious seating to enjoy your meal.

Liz C.

Yelp
***Overwhelming, Great location, Great service*** Honestly I was so overwhelmed on how to order my meal that I almost walked out. As much as I get the whole move towards ordering through a digital screen, I feel like it's more time consuming. Student discounts are offered if you have a student ID - but you have to get a staff employee to scan the code in.

Hannah H.

Yelp
So glad I found this place! Was looking for a healthy bowl place and stumbled across this one. It's a "virtual food hall" because all the ordering is via kiosk... there's only 1 kitchen for the whole place. But there are 5 different themes or "restaurants" you can choose from. There's BONMi, but also a sous vide kitchen, latin, mediterranean, and pulled meats option. It seems like a few of their ingredients are interchangeable between restaurants. I went with the SVK menu and got half power greens and half cauliflower base. Added chili garlic tofu, corn, edamame, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, fried onions and cilantro. Ingredients were super fresh and you could tell they were all high quality. Also they have a bunch of bottled drinks, chips, and cookies you can grab. I went with the BONMi vietnamese coffee (so good!) Also, there was plenty of seating (mix btw tables and high tops) and free wifi. It was empty when I came, but it was also Sunday afternoon at 2pm. I was searching for a place to eat and study, and this fit the bill. They were also playing 90's R&B, and I can't say no to that! Downside? Pricey. The SVK bowel base price is $13.95, and you will pay more if you add extra toppings. Add the drink, and I paid $18.45 for lunch. That being said, they give you a good amount and I thought the meal was tasty with lots of flavors and super high quality ingredients. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Vegan banh mi and spindrift soda: Post-tax Total = $11.93. There are a few vendor options here: I used Bon Mi. My vegan banh mi sandwich was really tasty and fresh! The roll was a wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The toppings: shredded carrot, cilantro, toasted coconut, and onions were fresh and flavorful. The "filling" or main ingredient I chose was "chili garlic tofu." The tofu was tasty, but it was very much unadulterated in texture, and could maybe benefit from a more adventurous approach. I chose the "five spice" sauce as it was the only vegan sauce add-on; it was really tasty but not particularly "spicy" by my estimation. The other vegan "filling" available is "seasonal veggies," and next time I'll try that instead. The wait was ten minutes from the time that my order was placed at the automated kiosk thingy until I received a text and my order number was called. Not too bad for a tasty sandwich. Not many people here on a Manhattan Friday but maybe they do a lot of takeout business here. Room for improvement: The order interface wasn't all that clear to me regarding which toppings would be included. I'd appreciate a bit more clarity there. My order was "dine-in" but my sandwich was 1) wrapped up in paper 2) placed in a paper bag. (T_T) Tunes: Motown classics. I can get behind that!! Also the AC is kickin!!!!! Maybe bring a light cardigan? Hope to come back and try the "Mediterranean" option at this food hall.

Winnie L.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken with mushrooms, 5 spice, and the roasted garlic but they definitely forgot to include it to the bowl. Nonetheless, the sauce made the rice and chicken tasty. I would probably order here again but something different.

Ma-e M.

Yelp
Its food looks unappetizing like a cafeteria in steroid price. I did not like it.

Bob t.

Yelp
Ordering at Sous Vide Kitchen made me feel like a grandma being handed an iPhone for the first time. I thought I figured it out, but after I dipped my credit card in and got charged I still had to talk to the kitchen staff five minutes later when my order never went through. (At least they were nice about it.) Unfortunately for them, the food itself lived up to the ordering. I had quite a bit of trouble trying to chew through some of the rice, which was possibly undercooked. Geeze, this whole review is making me feel like an old person...

Adam S.

Yelp
Food: The sous vide beef in the 18 hour beef bbq sandwich was tender and moist, but bland with a soggy bottom bun. The total, including a fairly small portion of nothing special mac and cheese, came to over $20(!) Given all of the amazing reviews. I wanted to be able to say this was one miss on a menu of hits, but none of the eight others I ate with we dazzled with their dishes either. Service: I came here on a wednesday night around 7:30 and we were the only ones in the place. Despite this, it took nearly 30 minutes for our food to be prepared. The kitchen seemed fully staffed (and very friendly) and was fulfilling a steady stream of delivery orders. pros: spacious, new interior, quiet, friendly staff cons: food, price, speed

Troy P.

Yelp
This place amazes me. I have gotten takeout many times and I am impressed with how good everything I have gotten is. I am most pleased with the fact that they use biodegradable containers. Makes me feel a lot less guilty of takeout. My favorite is the Mediterranean and Vietnamese.

Betsy S.

Yelp
Horrible! I ordered via seamless before this place even opened in the morning and here I am, almost three hours later and they never delivered it. Called twice, was told some BS that tit would be 8 minutes over 20 minutes ago. And this, after being charged a delivery fee AND a tip ?? Maybe have another delivery person if you're this busy??! Never again.

Naila C.

Yelp
My new favorite place in town! Love the meals and the ambience is chill & relaxed. It's a great spot to have a quick lunch in between classes or if you happen to pass by. Check it out!

Leia O.

Yelp
I really want this place to not only survive, but thrive, and expand into my neighborhood, so I am offering constructive criticism based on my weekend visit (I think this place is probably hopping during the week, for business lunch). I am concerned about its continued success based on seeing the closures of restaurants I liked with similar concepts to this one. A closure that still stings was Local Thyme near(ish) to Grand Central. Very similar concept, and I am very sad it's gone. Why am I rooting for SVK? Because I love the idea of having a "build your own" fast-casual restaurant that (seems to) choose ingredients carefully and uses sous vide for meat and fish. I like the kiosk concept for fast casual (when it's done well and provides enough info). SVK did well: * I chose chicken as my protein, and it was perfect. Steaming hot, tender, evenly cooked, and (thank you!) PLAIN. The flavor was excellent, even without marinade or spices. I was able to add the flavors I wanted with a selection of several sauces/add-ons. * The kiosk gives you the opportunity to save your order. I don't know how this is done, since I didn't save my order, but if this functionality works, it's great for people who like complicated orders. Opportunities for improvement: * Have a well-lit, welcoming entrance on weekends (I'm assuming it is very different during the week) - see note at end. * Have a description for each dish on the ordering kiosk. I get that SVK is trying to make things quick and efficient, but for people that need to know what ingredients/preparation (such as a Spanish Rice explanation, or letting me know the "crispy sprouts" were plain, raw Brussels sprouts, for example), it's far more efficient to click something to get an ingredient pop-up on the screen, than having to ask someone behind the counter, which is a few feet away, and during any other time, would presumably be very busy. Likewise, have an option for sauce/dressing to be on the side. * Have a way to update the kiosk when you're out of something. The kiosk prompted me to order an additional side dish. That's a powerful and persuasive sales tool. After I paid, the person at the counter told me they were out of it. I didn't come in there wanting this side dish - the kiosk sold me on it. I don't know why the kiosk was not updated when the asparagus ran out - can a manager not update it? In well-functioning software for this application, it should be easy to just mark an item sold out, right? * The concept of having different cuisines is appealing. However, there are items that are on one cuisine's menu and not another, which is annoying. Again, I get the efficiency aspect of having fewer things on the screen to help people choose, and the marketing aspect of bundling things in an appealing way. However, in looking at the website before we met, my friend wanted grilled salmon (Mediterranean menu) and Coconut Jasmine rice & quinoa (SVK menu). There was no way to order both. It would be different if each dish came from a different location in the restaurant, or from a different counter, but this was all at the same counter (Chipotle-style) made by the lone employee on duty. Why not have a selection on the kiosk that will show all the bases together, all the proteins together, etc.? At least for us, that would have been far more efficient than continuing to go back and forth, trying to find dishes that were on the website, with the system continuing to ask us if we needed more time. * I couldn't get a receipt. I don't want a paper receipt anyway, but I would like to have a record of my transaction to check my credit card statement against. The system had my mobile number (you can opt to be texted when your order is ready), but I didn't get a receipt of my expenditure, nor could I figure out how to ask for one on the kiosk. Fintech and merchant processing has come a long way. This is easy. * Put the hours on the website (a good spot would be the "About Us" page). Speaking of the "About Us" page - it says very little about SVK, and doesn't do justice to the value proposition. Why didn't the website mention the selective sourcing that is featured on a sign deep in the restaurant. I want you to succeed, SVK! Tell us (in a nice, concise way) EVERYTHING that is great about you. And, again, there is no way that a casual, weekend passer-by would think SVK was open. It's dark and unwelcoming until you get all the way to the back of the restaurant to the counter. We were the only two customers in the place, and I saw a few people walk by it when we were in there, shade their eyes while looking closely through the glass, and decide against it. One potential customer came in while we were there, tried to use the ordering kiosk and gave up and left.

Matthew C.

Yelp
I was blown away in all honesty. The food, prices, & customer service was unreal. It's also a place where you will leave completely full! Ever have a meal and feel like you're hungry an hour later? Not with these portions.

Amy L.

Yelp
Ordered through Ritual, it's a online good offering app, and I was not satisfied at all. The customer service was terrible. I waited an extra 30 minutes for my meal when it said it was already ready. But instead they misplaced my order and continued to have me wait and said it was on its way. When I asked an employee where my food was she continued to disregard me. I will not be returning due to the bad service.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
This is hands down my new favorite lunch spot find. Seriously- I went twice last week! You order through a kiosk (my introverted self appreciates this so much), and simply pick up your order when it's ready. Both times I've been during peak lunch hours had no line, which is also a huge plus for me. I've had the BonMi bowls both times, and both were delicious, filling, and healthy!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Wow! This place is a fast casual Mecca. The sous vide meats are all delicious and there are almost too many amazing sauces to pick from. The first time I came here I had a Vietnamese bowl with coconut rice and perfectly cooked pulled pork. I returned for a Mediterranean bowl w salmon and am now addicted to the green goddess dressing and tzatziki. Can't wait to try tor rest of the restaurants here. Also a quick and easy place to grab some pre green juices.

Fayza T.

Yelp
It was good. I liked it. I didn't what kind of food there would be but the bean mi sandwich was good

Irene L.

Yelp
Great fast casual spot when you're looking for a place with options - SVK has Vietnamese, BBQ, Mediterranean, and salad/grain bowl options. Service was quick too. Would highly recommend the Viet food!!

Cassandra H.

Yelp
This place was awful. The food taste microwaved and is undeserving of business in my opinion. I don't think this place means to be as awful as it is but unfortunately that is the reality of it. I walked into this place because I saw that they offered BBQ which I was really in the mood for. Once I walked in, it looked like the place had been closed and maybe someone forgot to lock the door. It was empty. No bustling staff, no hungry customers, no one. It was like a ghost town. Normally I would follow my rule of thumb and head out of I see no one but I was super interested in whatever mystery place I had already walked into. I placed my order for bbq ribs, mac and cheese and cornbread. I also got some kind of beer thay wasn't half bad in the moment but wasn't memorable so I don't even have the name for you yelpers, sorry. The ribs and mac and cheese tasted like old 4th of July food that is reheated on the 15th because ypu forgot it way in the back of your fridge and now it's 4 am and nothing is open and delivery doesn't have what you want so you reheat this old BBQ that is there to save the day but not really. Yeah, that bad. The cornbread was surprisingly good though and seemed to be the only fresh tasty thing on my plate. The only thing memorable about this place was the cornbread and the one staff guy that carefully prepared my food. He really did try but the food did all of his hard work a disservice, shame. I won't be returning.

Yelp
Damn, this new place sucks. I used to come to Bon Mi all the time and the lines moved quickly without the kiosks--now, I've never waited less than 15 minutes from the time I place my order to the time it's ready, and half the time there's something wrong with my order. I don't mind waiting for good food, but the old Bon Mi used to be so fast and convenient!

Yelp
They served me my pulled pork with every ingredient I requested not to have on my sandwich. When I went up and said something they just pulled the ingredients off the top and handed the same sandwich back to me. Luckily for them I am not allergic but just do not like those toppings. Needless to say, terrible service and I will never be back.

Yelp
I've been here a half-dozen times as I work from home and it is around the corner from me. In fairness, their food is tasty. I usually get a pulled pork or BBQ beef sandwich and bring it home to eat. However, as Jordon F. reported here a few days ago, twice recently (again just today) I have received my sandwiches with everything on it that I specifically requested NOT to have. It's almost like no one actually reads the entire order--and by default they must always put coleslaw on the sandwiches. While I like coleslaw occasionally as a side dish, on a sandwich it makes the bun soggy and impossible to pick by hand and eat. Yuk! (Also, they need to learn about real pickles--i.e., dill--and not just cute little cucumber slices.) I suppose it's "cool" to order by kiosk, but I still prefer to talk to and be served by a real person--not someone who is totally removed from the customer experience.

Yelp
Please use caution if ordering through mealpal or a lunch app. Experienced a severe episode of food poisoning due to a Grains and Greens chicken entree.

Yelp
Worth the price and the wait. To be fair I don't know why they agree to deliver to my block given how far away we are (East 10th Street). BUT their food is the BOMB. Great for Paleo/Keto/Low Carb. Will be ordering again...and again...and again : )

Yelp
I love this place so much. I've ordered 2 mealpal orders and they've been so freaking good I look forward to getting one every time. Food looks like it's gonna be dry but it's never dry. The flavors are amazing and it's healthy. I'm so happy I found this place.

Yelp
Don't go here - I saw a cockroach. Also they forgot my sauce and didn't even apologized when I walked back to the restaurant to get it.

Yelp
Lots of really good options and options to build your own bowls. Place is clean, machines operate well, service is fairly quick.
