Stopped by today after I was talking with a friend about how I would love to go to a pie shop and she recommended this place. We were greeted by the young man behind the counter as soon as we walked in. By the time we walked up to the case and started looking at the pies, the lady greeted us and asked us if it was our first time in. We told her yes, so she quickly ran through an overview of their offerings and gave us a sample of peach pie (pie of the month for June) to try. It was delicious so we ended up taking one of those to go for my birthday. She was incredibly friendly and bubbly, and probably a great example of true southern hospitality. The price point is definitely a little on the high side, but that’s because of the quality you are getting, and you can taste the effort and energy that goes into every bite. We will definitely be back.

My fiance’s favorite dessert is cherry pie- therefore I needed to find a good pie place for his birthday. I ended up getting the pie from here and it was incredible! They even went to their other store to get me one that was fresh. Ever since then of course we have had to come back here. The staff is always so friendly and we love visiting. And all of the pies are amazing! Love that you can have a dessert pie but also lunch with the chicken pot pies etc. We love coming here, so yummy! The best pies!

Lovely surprise in the heart of Buckhead! Strawberry pie is the feature of the month for May🍓As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely team who gave us samples of pie🥧They have fruit pies as well as meat and chicken pies. Very tasty😋Looking forward to returning very soon🥰

UPDATE: And then there were 2. My 1st review was not a good one, but boy did Southern Baked Pie redeem themselves! They replaced my petite apple pie as promised. I also received a cherry! I will forever be a loyal customer... not only because they've shown appreciation for my patronage, but also because the pies are simply delicious. Thank you so much!

Tried their Cherry Pie (in pic) and a Pot Roast Pie. Both were delicious! The crust was buttery and delicious, cherry filling the right mix of sweet and tart. The Pot Roast pie was tasty, the meat really tender and juicy. Great service; paid over phone and picked it up the next day, the process was simple and smooth. We got a Pot Roast pie on an impulse and the restaurant was nice to give another one complimentary. The best part was that the pies were well-priced and definitely worth it. I will surely visit again and will also recommend to others!

I’m in California. I first ordered the individual pot pies and they were wonderful. I have since ordered 5 fruit pies. If you like the pie crust crispy, these pies will totally disappoint you! The crust turns out to be soggy! The directions state to warm a frozen totally baked pie at 350 for 30 minutes! No way! Takes at least 45 minutes for a fruit pie to heat through. The pies plus shipping are pricey! I would expect an amazing pie, but was sadly disappointed. My very last order was 3 fruit pies and with shipping the cost was $135. Outrageous, but I was willing to spend this amount if they were fabulous. These pies were not! The last pie I baked I took out of the tin and baked on parchment paper thinking the crust would crisp up. It did a bit but not to my liking. Sadly will no longer order anything other than the individual chicken pot pies , which are really quite good!

The Pies, are pretty tasty but the service I received on 12/23, was terrible. I visited the location the Vinings, aroundThanksgiving time and was blown away by the service and their frozen keylime pie. Due to my positive experience at the Vinings, I wanted to explore some more of their other options. I live less than a mile away from the Buckhead location, so I placed a large order for Christmas Eve. I entered the Buckhead around 2:00 PM on, 12/23 and I was disappointed in the service I was provided with. More importantly, I was the only person in the location, receiving poor service. The other customers in the establishment, were receiving amazing service levels. The staff was attentive, and assisting to the other customers but not to me. I was the only minority customer in the location at the time. The experience left a terrible taste in my mouth. The restaurant accidentally left one of my items out of the bag, so I had to return to the establishment after my initial pickup to pickup the missing items. Whenever I return back to the shop, I attempted to explain to the owner and manager on duty my experience and how disappointed I was but the owner and the manager were extremely dismissive. 1/16/24 Update : Update on this post. Within several days of my visit at the Buckhead, GA location, the Regional Manager (Joan), contacted me to gather more details on my experience. I explained to her my frustrations, and the details of my experience at the Buckhead, GA. Joan was very concerned, and repeatedly ensured me that the company, does not intend on any of their customers to feel unwelcome or insignificant. Joan also completed a few additional steps to rectify my experience or my feelings towards Southern Bake Company. Joan went the extra mile, to practice the company’s core values. I have since visited the Vinings, GA on 1/15, and I was welcomed with exceptional customer service. Javier was EXTREMELY helpful and very nice. I also was able to chat with Joan, she was conducting a site visit during the time of my visit. The atmosphere and service at the Vinings, GA is top tier! Amazing staff, I will be back. Thanks Joan and the Vinings, GA team , for providing excellent service and amazing pies!

Ordered two pies online. Buttermilk and coconut custard. Lots of money, should have just bought them at the grocery store. Not a lot of custard, grainy, too sugary, very disappointing.

Oh my, Pecan Pie. Sweet & yummy, get in my tummy. My darling friend Marie sent me a Caramel Pecan Pie from Southern Baked Pie Co. Amanda Dalton Wilbanks started her business in 2012. Her award-winning pies range from sweet to savory, and she sources the fresh fruit from local farmers in Georgia. Gluten free pies are also available. The pie arrived a few days before Thanksgiving and was carefully packaged to ensure no damage during shipping. It was double boxed and in an insulated carrier. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pecan pie and this was amazing! A prefect ratio of filling to pecans and the additional layer of caramel put it over the top! The combination of the sweet creamy filling with the crunchy texture of pecans was delightful and the pie crust, which was made with real butter, melted in my mouth. I liked that the pecans were whole and not pieces. My family & I loved it! I had to hide a slice so I could enjoy it the next day. If I lived in the area I'd be here on a weekly basis. Happily eating my way through the menu.

The best sweet & savory pies I've ever had. I would recommend to anyone for holidays, catering or any other special occasion that you can imagine. A cake alternative or just a fantastic option. Sampling as many as you can will leave you confused & frustrated as you will find it hard to choose a favorite pie. To further your frustration some of the best pies are seasonal. The vegetarian, chicken pot pies & quiche are to die for. The perfect consistency of crust & content. You can buy them frozen & cook them at home. The staff in the Buckhead location are very warm, inviting & accommodating, eagerly anticipating your addiction to your favorite.

I bought the pumpkin pie and it was AMAZING!!!! It was fresh. Shipped with extra care and absolutely deliciously fresh and homemade. I will definitely be buying more pies.....let me think about what kind I want to try next.

I would give zero stars if I could. The horrific customer service and poor attitudes of the staff are not enough to justify a $50 frozen pie. I highly suggest you save your time, money and aggravation and order from literally ANYWHERE else.

This is my second order with this company. I am quite taken back that this is the second order and there's this many peas. Our first vegetable pie didn't have any potatoes in it, and I felt as though it was a pie with two carrots. Don't get me wrong the flavor of the roux and taste of crust was amazing. I simply don't understand why they are placing bags of peas with scant amount of other ingredients but marketing it like the last picture. I emailed them after I got the first pie and asked them if this was typical and nobody responded. I thought I would give it another try as I did not think a reputable company would make a vegetable pies with 95% peas. I'm very sad. I had signed up for a monthly pot pie, but I'm going to be a canceling this. I'm not sure why Customer Service didn't answer my email either. The pecan pie that we received was amazing. This is the second time we ordered it, and it taste the same. During shipping last time, everything was perfect. We could not ask for a better experience. This time there was not anything to cool it and some of the pies lopsided and soggy. I'm not sure what the resolution is going to be as I've just emailed them. The main reason I'm posting is because of the pea pie. I want to make sure others know before they order that this is what to expect because the first one wasn't a fluke like I initially thought.

I love the pies here and send them to clients near the holidays! Also, the customer service is excellent. Big shoutout to Hannah Satterfield, the shipping manager, who helped resolve a delivery issue the day I brought it to her attention. She's great, very help, and nice anytime I had a question. I highly recommend this place.

Wow! I just received my mixed berry pie and it was absolutely incredible. The berries and associated filling were perfectly mixed while limiting the amount of sugar to not over power the taste of the berries. Perfect balance.....and the pie crust! OMG.....I'm from the south and making the perfect pie crust is the key to a great pie! Great job guys! Worth every penny and associated bite! BTW, the shipping was perfect and the pie was still frozen and in excellent shape too! Congratulations! You've earned my business and word of mouth approval for other's to try. The quiches are phenomenal, best I've ever had. The lemon rolls are to die for along with the chicken pot pie. And the fruit / pecan pies are perfect; not too sweet and you can tell everything is homemade. Will be back!!

I couldn't be more disappointed. I ordered 3 pies for over $160 and paid extra to have the pies delivered by Thanksgiving and they never showed up. I contacted the company and was told I could not get a refund because there was conflicting date information on the order. However, as I stated I paid specifically for Thanksgiving delivery and it would have taken one simple phone call to clarify. Instead we didn't have pies for Thanksgiving after paying $160 and I have to create another event to have the pies. This could have been very easily resolved with a phone call and there would not have been an issue. i found it very unprofessional!!!

Pi Day was coming up (and it's quickly creeping upon us again) so of course, I had to hit up the nearest pie shop. Seeing as my office was in Buckhead, I checked out Southern Baked Pie Company for the first time. I picked up a hand pie and a petite cherry pie to go and noticed I was a day early for the 3.14 special - $3.14 for any hand pie or pie slice and a free slice with every petite savory pie purchase! Everything was tasty and the perfect sweet bite after lunch. I JUST checked Instagram and it looks like they're running similar specials this year - from Thursday (today) through Saturday (Pi Day), they are offering $3.14 pie slices and hand pies, or $10 hot lunch/dinner (petite savory pie + sweet pie slice). I'll have to stop by this weekend for more Southern Baked Pie!

I've ordered online from them a few times now. I have never had their dessert pies but have had their savory pies. Shipping is expensive but look for deals. I recently was able to get free shipping on 3 pies so that was great! My friend had sent me a chicken pot pie when my husband was sick. It was delicious. We all really liked it. Afterwards, I kept craving it! Finally, I saw the special on the shipping and got 3 pies, chicken, Ranchero, and the mashed potato and beef one. All were good but the chicken is still my favorite. Since the special was still going on I sent the same 3 to my daughter who just had a baby. Her least favorite was the chicken. She loved the other two. So to each their own! Great to keep in freezer for when you need a meal. I will order these again.

Really disappointed with both pies I ordered. Bland, sloppy, soupy. For the price I expected much better.

Recent order for my Mother's 89 birthday it seemed like all was going well as this was my second order for her! Well the delivery company decided that weren't delivering on weekend because order was one day late! I couldn't reach any one of course over weekend,and order was delivered 6 days after shipping it was spoiled quiche! I called company on Monday and they couldn't have been more kind and helpful. They sent out new order! I just want to say customer service is wonderful! And my Mom loves the quiche! Definitely will order her more! Thank you for making my Mom's day special!

WOW....I mean just wow!! We came in here bc my brother said...these pies are to die for but choose carefully. Walked in and you can just smell the baked butter...the place was filled our yum!! We asked we only wanted pies you can only find here in GA - or what she believed we need to try. Glad they offered small individual pies because there was no way we would be able to try all the must-haves. We picked the following: Buttermilk, peach, coconut, and pecan. OMG...we cut each small pie into four pieces so we got to try but it is so rich, we could only have three pieces. I have always loved pecan pie in GA - but this place..took it to a whole different level. Each pie was not overly sweet - just the right amount of sweetness. The crust??? Wow, wow!!! I don't think I can eat any of these pies elsewhere because I may get disappointed. If you ever have the opportunity to have southern baked pie, go for it. BTW, before we left Atlanta, my brother brought pies again - this time I got to try cherry, apple, and of course, peach. Yuuummm!!!

I definitely recommend this pie company, I ran across town looking for some pies for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. The funniest part of my journey was I found this gem less than a mile from my place and unlike the other pie stores, they had the pies I needed. I came into the shop to be greeted by a very friendly staff that makes sure I got the pies I need and boxed them up. Long story short two of the pies didn't quite make it to Thanksgiving dinner. I will be returning for pies in the future!

Wow...for real just wow. Found out about this place through Yelp's takeout week. First can we talk about the decor? It's a beautiful store. I'm going to say I'm not really a sweets and dessert person. That's my husband and son's department. Normally I'll take a bite or two and I'm good then they get the rest. Not this time. My husband got the pecan pie slice, my son got the cherry hand pie and I got the Apple hand pie. We didn't try it until we got home...wanted to add a little heat to mine. We barely got in the house and my husband came with his almost gone asking if I wanted to try it. From that taste I wished we had gotten more. That crust is everything. The young lady at the store mentioned something about going home smelling like butter...I understand. The crust was so flaky and tasty. They baked their fruit pies at their Gainesville location daily and bring them to the store locations. The pecan filling was really good also. Not overly sweet...premium ingredients for sure. I heated up the Apple and cherry pie...maybe a bit too long for some but I like my food on the dark side. So if you think it looks burnt in the picture it's from me heating them not the store. It was heavenly. They kept looking at me to see when I was going to stop so they could dig in but I finished it all and even tried my son's cherry pie. Didn't think I liked cherry pie but it was really good. I will show restraint and not return every weekend but I will definitely return.

The pies were excellent but the baking instructions on the box were not clear. I baked the pot roast pie when it was thawed so I suspect that was why the mashed potatoes were runny. It reheated very nicely. I contacted them to discuss and received no response. That is the reason for not giving 5 stars. Customer service response is very important to me.

The worst pie ever! The fruit pies have very little fruit and have a not great taste. I bought one for myself and another 5 were gifts. Everyone I gave them to said the same thing that they were not good! Save your money from this over priced junk!

So impressed by this place!!! Was craving a cherry pie at random, and this place did not disappoint. I called and reserved a cherry pie and paid via phone and picked up the next day. The process was smooth and easy, and we even ended up adding a mini pot roast pie to our order as an impulse buy - we were then delighted when she gave us an additional pot roast pie free! The cherry pie was sweet, tart, and juicy. Crust was buttery and delicious. The pot roast pie was amazing - meat was tender and flavorful and it also included some gravy and mashed potatoes inside. It was super filling and a medium pie would definitely be more than enough for one person. Pies were fairly priced and well worth the cost. I will definitely be back!

I was looking forward to tasting their chicken pot pie. I was so disappointed when I cooked it and ate it. The pie was very soupy. It had so much liquid in it. I expected to cut slices and they would be firm and moist, not mushy. It fell apart and I had to use a spoon to eat it. It also was very salty. Why are they over the top with salt? The salt overpowered the taste of the pie. Save your money.

Looked all over Atlanta for a peach pie made with fresh peaches. Either the pies were huge or made with canned peaches.... until we found Southern Baked. This place was great and had a large selection of different desserts and pies. So glad we stumbled upon this place, the mini peach pie was just the right size and so absolutely delicious. The only problem is that we found this place on our last day in Atlanta. Wish we found it on the first day because we would have gone daily. My kids are begging to go back to Atlanta for many reason and this place is one of those reasons. Will definitely be back!

I stopped in the Vinnings Jubilee location 2 days ago to pick up a cherry pie for a friend's birthday. I sampled the Buttermilk Pie on display and almost passed out! Rich, lemony, tasty!! The 1/8 teaspoon sample was excellent! I felt like I'd eaten a whole slice of pie. Yes, I'll be back. I just need to sample an assortment of the small pies since it will be impossible for me to choose just one. Unbelievably good pie! Ordering ahead on the phone was a complete breeze!!! Keep up the great work ladies.

This pie is so delicious! i tried a pie that was given at a function and it was so good i had them cater to my event the following month. I'm literally addicted to these pies! Love them!!

The Coconut cream pie is quite literally the best thing I've ever eaten!! I also got the tomato pie and pecan pie for thanksgiving and Amanda the owner was so helpful about providing instructions when I was confused. Couldn't recommend it more!

After seeing the reviews on yelp, I purchased a pecan pie from Southern Baked Pie Company. When I got home that evening, after dinner I tried the pie. The filling is great, but there's so little of it. When eating the pie, all you get are pecans and hardly any filling. Terribly dissapointedointed

Thee best pecan pie I've ever had in my life! Love that its gluten free as well. I would have this shipped to California if I could. (I need to look into that). But definitely a must try. That pie alone makes me want to try all the pies on the menu. And I will try.

During a recent visit to the Atlanta area, I sought out a few spots to satisfy my sweet tooth. Southern Baked Pie did not disappoint! I got an apple and cherry hand pie, and they were to die for! Fruit to crust ratios were perfect, and that crust was melt-in-your mouth! Wish I could ship some more of those right to my mouth!

just the worst tasting garbage.... Chicken pot pie.... ugh!! it was like chicken out of a can with a couple of canned carrots and peas thrown into the crust.... Beef pot pie was worse.. like dog food in pie crust .... Sorry.... But it's just too expensive to get such poor quality!....

My daughter and I received your Savory Chicken Pot Pies for a Christmas present and they were definitely savory! We ate two of them shortly after arrival and saved the other two for the evening we returned home after visiting family in TX during the last week of the year. The crust was perfect and the serving size was plenty for a meal. It was a delicious, lovely gift we will remember for a long time.

Tasty bakery. I ordered the personal size the french coconut and quiche lorraine pies. Both were excellent. Quiche tasted as expected, both pies use the same buttery, slightly crunchy crust. The coconut pie was similar to a chess pie but with a layer of shredded coconut. Not too sweet, but a nice mix of fat/sweet.

Got three mini pies from here, the cherry hand pie, apple pie, and buttermilk pie for $4.5 each. Pies were about four in across, crust was not super flaky but not hard, very buttery, with a light sprinkling of sugar on top. Pies were pretty good. My favorite were in order the apple pie, the cherry pie, and the buttermilk pie. The apple has really small pieces of apple packed super tightly. It was the biggest in size out of all the hand pies, not too sweet, not a lot of syrup inside, but great apple flavor. Cherry pie was pretty good, had much fewer cherries. Buttermilk pie was a little disappointing. The flavor was ok but the texture was kind like cottage cheese? It was pretty offputting, I was hoping for a thicker, firmer texture. Overall I would go again because they are better than costco pies haha. The shop is located in a plaza in buckead. Google maps has a really hard time navigating there for some reason so you'll have to look at it's actual geographic location. Shop smells literally like butter and sugar when you walk in and the staff is very friendly. I would like to try their savory pies some time as well.

Great selection of sweet and savory pies. If you're looking to sample, the mini pies are a good option for individual breakfasts (quiche), lunches (savories), dinners (savories), or dessert (sweets). Seasonal fruit make the sweet selections a surprise even if you are a regular. If you like chocolate, the chess pie is wonderful. If you like fruit, can't go wrong with classic cherry pie! My favorite savories are the chicken pot pie and the beef stroganoff. These two make a great dinner with a side salad. It is one of my family's favorite "I have no time to cook" meals. Having visited the Gainesville store, I expected nothing but amazing awesomeness when I visited this location and was not disappointed. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. PS. Great to order frozen pies for delivery for the holidays or special celebrations. I've found they are a hit when visiting out-of-state family - just have the pie show up when you do to make sure you get to eat some of it!

Ordered mini pies and mini quiche sets for my daughter's birthday at college. She called me squealing with delight. These arrived quickly and in beautiful condition!

Honestly, the customer service at this location (and at corporate) is extremely poor. The pie is... average.

Best pies, best service. We have tried the southwest chicken and the pecan apple caramel pies. We pick up at the Buckhead location and the service is great! The pies were both delicious! They make a magical crust!

Ordered the Chicken Ranchero Pie and it was inedible. Very soupy and had to be thrown out. When I reached out to there customer service with pictures asking for either a refund or a new pie NO ONE got back to me. Horrible customer service and will not be ordering from them again

I love them!! I've only gotten the personal size ones (good for 2-3 meals for me). I tried the apple pie (yummy). Heats up well in the oven. The tomato pie was savory. The beef with mashed potatoes (hearty) and the chicken pot pie, heavenly!! I still want to try more. Once you start, it's hard to stop...A bit pricey and probably fattening.. But worth it if you eat it as a treat!!

Look no further for amazing pie! Seriously, this place is a must visit. The buttermilk, as well as the chess pie are my personal favorites. I additionally love the small pies, and am glad they offer them in addition to the standard size pies. If you appreciate excellent crust, these do not disappoint.

These pies are very good. It's their crust....it's just right...flaky and flavorful!! Decadent!! Cherry was our least favorite but we love love love the coconut custard and buttermilk pies!! Looking forward to trying the blackberry in the summer.

My friends and I got together to order a bunch of pies for a friend who recently suffered a great loss in her family. I made a HUGE MISTAKE and entered my own address for shipping instead of my friend's address. I didn't realize until I got an email saying that the UPS labels had printed and the order was ready to ship. I called the company thinking that there was no way to fix it at this point and I was going to have to get those pies and try to reship them to my friend. I talked to an incredibly sweet lady who managed to get the address changed for me in time. The pies arrived today in perfect condition and still cold - shipping all the way from Georgia to California. Thank you so much, Southern Baked Pie Company. 10 friends went in on this gift together and you now have 10 new and loyal customers. We are so pleased!

We got the petite chocolate pie and let me tell you something. These pies are so good!! Almost as good as my grandmas. They are definitely the epitome of southern baked pies. I highly recommend if you want a treat or need to bring dessert for a party!!

Pecan pies are my favorite along with sweet potatoes pies!! This place doesn't disappoint. You have to take your pies to go because there's no place for dinning.
