Family-run and beloved by Nashville Scene and Food Network, this counter-service spot riffs on Korean standards—think spicy pork bulgogi and bibimbap—served with warmth and neighborhood spirit.

Cute little bistro. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very warm, welcoming, and friendly staff. Delicious food!! I had the gochujang chicken - wonderful. The spicy edamame has good flavor and just the right amount of spice.

Google
The food was incredible and the place was so clean. The employees were very personable! One of my more unique food experiences. Highly recommend you come here if you are in the area.

These noodles have earned five stars. If you're craving some delicious noodles, you have to come to this beautiful and cozy place. Don't forget to order the spicy ranch sauce because it will blow your mind with its unique and incomparable flavor

Google
Omg amazing!!! The owner is awesome and so so so sweet! Food FANTASTIC! They were out of the dumplings and she gave us a free chicken taco because she felt bad. Amazing service and fun place!

Google
This place was a short walk across the street for our hotel at AC Mariott and wanted to give it a try. It was a pleasant surprise and happy we went. It's a quantity space (outside tables available, but weather not supportive) Saundra was very sweet and our server(my apologies for forgetting his name) but also very nice and helpful. We have the fried rice, a kids noodles bowl, chicken lettuce tacos and hot chicken. All was very yummy but the hot chicken was bit dry. All in all a nice experience. And Guy Fieri has been here, so definitely worth a stop!

Google
The heftiness and taste of their hot chicken tacos on romaine lettuce with their very special kimchi slaw really hit the spot. I would recommend getting the beef tacos, Korean style, on lettuce instead of corn tortilla. It also comes with the kimchi slaw and it would be even better with the same hot sauce on this taco. I don’t personally prefer the house creamy sauce that comes on either taco. Fried rice comes in a large portion and is the best I’ve ever had. The hot chicken plate is also a very, very good dish!

Google
Great food! Service was amazing and food was absolutely 💯 Must try!!

Google
The food is always top-notch. The staff is amazing and friendly and you can tell they actually enjoy their job. My only complaint is that the place isn't bigger. Trying to get in there during lunch time is always a trick.

Yelp
This little restaurant can get crowded. You order at the counter and then they'll bring your food to you. I got a fish taco, Korean beef taco, and Korean chicken taco. My boyfriend got the yaki udon noodles with beef. It all tasted great! I can't wait to come back and try more things.

Yelp
Soy Bistro has been on my radar for a while ... and I was finally able to stop in for lunch with a friend while I was in the Brentwood area. We got there right when they opened on a weekday, and there were already only a few tables left! It's clear this is a popular spot to grab a bite. Previous reviews that mention a small parking lot are correct - but if you time it right, you should be able to snag a spot. At the recommendation of one of the Soy Bistro team members, we started with an order of the edamame hummus and chips. This was a unique appetizer option, and one I probably wouldn't have ordered on my own. The hummus was bright and fresh, and the housemade chips were tasty, although the honey drizzle threw me off just a bit. For my entree, I went with the Gochujang Chicken, which also came highly recommended. This saucy, sweet, and spicy chicken was served on top of a mountain of perfectly cooked rice, and topped with a beautiful fried egg. The salad situation on the side wasn't my favorite - but everything else was delicious, and this is definitely something I'd order again. My friend went with the chicken fried rice, which was a huge portion, and she had enough leftovers to make a second meal. While the food was tasty, it's the service at Soy Bistro that is truly memorable. A few different members checked on our table several times, and you can tell that these are folks that love to get to know their regulars. I can't wait to return soon to try more of their fun Asian fusion menu.

Yelp
Food came late, but everything tasted good! The staff was friendly and excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Really love this place! The service is great and the food is delicious. I always get these queso as an app and their cheesy skillet is delicious. They do Asian fusion well, full of flavor, quick, and great portions!

Hao H.

Yelp
The restaurant was extremely good. The service was quick and the food tasted amazing, especially the spicy fried rice. They even have an extra serving of edamame chips.

Yelp
This place is always busy with happy customers. I love their service! If you are looking for good Korean food in Brentwood area this is the place to go to!

Yelp
Delicious food, kind service, and a great place to sit with friends during lunch. A special thank you to Soy Bistro for offering so many vegetarian options!

Yelp
Holy goodness Batman!!!! This place is a WINNER on every aspect. I had this habit of watching DDD and Master Chef every day at lunch while I work out. As a combo of these two shows I've become obsessed with some unique foods, and BiBimBap is one of them. I was so excited to hear about this DDD restaurant that had BiBimBap on the menu. I was also craving bulgogi but I couldn't eat that much. We were in town for business for my husband and this was my HANDS DOWN favorite meal of the entire trip. The staff were so unbelievably kind and friendly too. If we had tried this restaurant sooner in our trip we'd probably be back every day. Sadly we go home tomorrow. We'll be back next time we're in Nashville. Try it. You won't regret it!!!!

Yelp
I love this place except for the long wait on food for lunch. Pre-order before you go to cut down time if you can. Everything is good here that I have tried. Rice is somewhat dry though, but the protein and vegetable options are delicious.

Yelp
Bibimbap in Brentwood! Much more than soy lies within this bistro. A true delight! I had the Bibimbap--a skillet with rice, beef, and vegetables. The rice lies at the bottom and is steamed then cooked to a crisp. The cooking oil is liberally applied. The vegetables (carrots, onions) were tender. The beef was squared and juicy. The meal was balanced, hot, and fresh. What really stood out was the house gochujang (red chili) sauce. It is hearty, pasty, thick, and biting but not too hot or bitter. A real compliment to the Bibimbap! This hole-in-the-wall (or strip mall) has a reputation that is well deserved. Not overly pricey at less than 20 dollars per meal. Order at the counter, take a number, and prepare to be wowed!

Yelp
We visited Soy Bistro for dinner! From taking our order to giving us boxes - it was excellent! The customer service, the food, EVERYTHING! I highly recommend this place. I had 2 tacos and the fried rice. My daughter had the teriyaki bowl.

Yelp
Stop searching and go to Soy Bistro! I mean come on-- The flavors, the quality of the food, the service doesn't get better than this little gem! A small bistro that packs a powerful & tasteful punch!
google avatar

Yelp
Soy Bistro is a hidden gem of Nashville and a must for good food. We're so glad we discovered this place, because it has quickly become a staple. We love to order the skillets because the crispy rice is delicious. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. Mommy favorite is the bibimbap skillet, you cannot go wrong. There is sometimes a line but it always goes quick! The workers are friendly and will help you pick a meal if you're not sure.

Yelp
Soy Bistro is a hidden gem in Brentwood! While the building is small, I've never had to wait for a table! I cannot recommend the Korean chili queso enough. It is just the right amount of spice and the chips are to die for! I also love the Yaki udon noodles with salmon everything is so well prepared and flavorful, and really cannot be beat!
google avatar

Dennis E.

Yelp
It's a small place so I got carry out but the people there are so nice and the food was delicious. I got the hot chicken and I don't have a single complaint 10/10 will definitely be back.

Yelp
We went at night, and I must confess I missed the entrance on my first pass, but I'm glad I turned around! Order at the counter. Got a question? no problem, they are super helpful and you can even look at pictures if that helps you decide. I went with Yaki Udon Noodles, chose the Spicy version and it definitely had some kick but it was great flavor. Got it with Shrimp which I didn't realized was an option, but when she asked, I was there for it! Food came promptly and was fresh when served. Great stop and worth the U-turn!

Yelp
Soy Bistro is a wonderful Asian restaurant tucked away in an unsuspecting building in Brentwood. They serve creative and delicious Asian fusion food from Korean tacos to edamame hummus. They also have more basic dishes, my favorites being the yaki udon, bibimbap, and chicken teriyaki. The restaurant has helpful and friendly service. My only complaint about Soy Bistro is the seating, which is limited, so be sure to arrive early for lunch and dinner to grab a seat and beat the busy hours.
google avatar

Shann S.

Yelp
We haven't been here in years because we moved away, but we happened to be in the area and decided to stop by for ole' times sake. Oh, how we have missed Soy! Still such a welcoming place with the absolute best food. Finding it is the challenge, but what a treasure when found.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!! I got the bibimbap skillet and my friend got the cheesy skillet. Both were amazing and the crispy rice was actually one of the best things I've ever eaten. If you're in Brentwood you have to try Soy Bistro!! The employees are so friendly and the restaurant is adorable with great indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Yelp
Holy Bibimbap Batman! This was so delicious. I barely have words to tell you how fantastic this truly was. I cannot wait to go back and try the tacos. Drink options are excellent good mix of cooler and fountain. And the staff was just as amazing as the food.

Yelp
Split decision on Soy Bistro. I loved everything about my order, wifey now so much. Place was easy find, but not what I expected. Very quaint establishment, small indoor seating for about 30 and another handful of outdoor tables. Process - walk up order counter and self serve soda bar. Nothing fancy, just the basics, but very clean and nicely decorated. I had the Bibimbap skillet which was delicious. Rice, numerous vegetables, beef and Korean hot paste with a fried egg. Sounds crazy, but it was delicious and came to the table piping hot. I enjoyed every bite and would order it again in a minute. Wifey had fish tacos. Not a good choice for her. Plenty of fixings on the tacos but the breading on the fish was very thick and tasteless. The fish itself was fine but the breading caused me to downgrade one star. I highly recommend without reservations, but suggest care when ordering and perhaps try sampling before jumping in head first. The place was super clean, the service was fast and friendly, and the fare was reasonable.

Yelp
I heard about this place on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Fortunately, it was minutes from where we were staying. It is small, so I was glad for a pretty winter's day to sit outside. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The dumplings were fabulous. I had the bibimbap and it was delicious. We had the fried rice one with the cast iron skillet. I really would recommend a stop here because ... yum!

Yelp
Great little place to eat in Brentwood! If you like Asian cuisine, you'll love Soy Bistro!

Yelp
Great little option for Korean based fare. Line moves quick and food is solid and fresh.
google avatar

Calvin T.

Yelp
Food is excellent and employees are very friendly and helpful. The challenge for me is the hours they operate. I would eat here more frequently, but you have to plan your schedule around their limited hours. I'll keep going back.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
They are what all the reviews say they are, very nice to customers and small although not Tiny. There are a couple of outdoor tables if the weather is nice. I went for early dinner and do wish they'd put a second cashier/order taker in place for the surges of people that don't know the menu/what they are actually ordering. Twice I person stopped the order line for what seemed line ages. 96/feels like 102 is not the time to push the line out the door... just saying...figure out what you think u want before you're up to the register. A victim of their own success, there are a lot of people from out of town or just new customers of nearby businesses coming out to try out the highly rated "little hidden gem" That being said, they do have really worth it food , keep in mind they are from a spicy Korean style food...the base heat level of gochujang (a fermented Korean hot chili pepper paste/ part of their Bibimbap dishes) is far too spicy for kids or those not into spicy food. Ask for them to hold it out of the dish/put it on the side so you can still enjoy the great flavor at your heat level..Pro tip: if you get too much heat ask for some of their teriyaki sauce to amazingly mellow it out that kicking hot pepper paste heat. Way worth the money to save the dish/your taste buds while giving you another sample of their highly regarded flavor creations. Of course you can go cautiously with something like teriyaki udon noodles if you don't want to risk hot pepper problems. Go early/definitely call your lunch order in and be prepared to find your own place to eat it. They have some can sodas/a regular self-serve fountain but not filtered water. I didn't see bottled water-likely sold out. Like most smaller food spots, they do not have Alcohol. They do have a parking problem and no drive thru unfortunately.

Cooper G.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in town. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is always tasty, and their menu is creative. Never disappoints! Pro tip: get teriyaki udon noodles, BUT add gochujang chicken as protein. You're welcome.
google avatar

Shannon W.

Yelp
Food, service, and quality all amazing! Had the chicken dumplings as an appetizer and they were awesome. I had the teriyaki salmon and my husband had the hot chicken. both dishes were very, very good. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Erin J.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Soy Bistro since the new owners took over but it was so yummy! I got the cheesy skillet and it was so much food. The crispy rice was delicious. We also got the spicy edamame. Service was great - and they were so kind when we accidentally stayed after they closed chatting. Go support this small business!!!
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
Food and service are great....its tight but welcoming and cozy. Have to be creative if going in a group.
google avatar

Yelp
Always the best Bibimbap in town. And one of the friendliest staffs, responsive to your requests.
google avatar

Safia S.

Yelp
Just a hidden gem in Brentwood! I love this place and try to eat here every chance I get. The menu is a simple fusion of Korean American flavors. I love the Korean fried hot chicken in a skillet!
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
Extremely friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Casual environment with both inside and outside seating. I let them know it was my first time visiting they took their time to explain the menu, the fan favorites and their own personal favorites. I asked for a fountain drink and she was thoughtful in asking me to take a look at the fountain options to make sure they had something I liked. They even gave me a free taco to try. I had the Bibimbap in the skillet (so the rice was crunchy), and it was a great mix of flavors and very filling. Will have to come back and try some other dishes next time I'm in town!.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Their skillets are amazing. The staff is so friendly, especially their GM. She's always upbeat and makes you feel like you're their #1 customer.
google avatar

Yelp
I saw this on Triple D a few weeks ago, it looked amazing on the show and I could not believe I'd never heard of this restaurant right in my back yard. My friend and I went in tonight, we both got the BiBimBap. Neither of us had ever had it before, we were very excited to try it. It was AMAZING. The service was very friendly and attentive, especially for a quick serve restaurant. I cannot wait to go back and try the tacos...that is if I can go again and not order the BiBimBap! This place has been added into my regular restaurant rotation!
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Super nice service here! I was so glad that I stopped by. Beyond the warm and friendly feeling, they had a creative way to demonstrate menu: put them on the way as painting and decoration. The only thing I don't like is there was too much oil in the dish.
google avatar

Haley Z.

Yelp
When I heard there was a good bibimbap place, I made a beeline over! First of all, holy smokes this place is POPPING for lunch time. The line moved quickly, but beware that it might take 15-20 mins to order. Luckily we were able to grab a table and it looked like everyone who wanted a table was able to get one because they serve the food so quickly, people are in and out. I highly recommend their skillet bibimbap (also I heard it's better than the regular). Everything about it was delicious, especially the crispy rice. This place is a bit pricier, it was $17 for just the food, no drink, but it was a large and hearty meal. I guess that's what you pay for eating somewhere popular in Brentwood!
google avatar

Daniel O.

Yelp
Best place we ate at when visiting Nashville .staff was very helpful . Food was great . Atmosphere wonderful
google avatar

Natasha D.

Yelp
It's not authentic bipimbap but it's pretty delicious! Highly recommend the hot chicken rice bowl (in the skillet), especially if you're looking for high protein! Love that their chicken is grilled and not breaded.
google avatar

Shawn B.

Yelp
Love this place! Food is so good. Visit for lunch every time I'm in Brentwood on business. Staff is incredibly friendly. I was so glad they survived covid.

Matt S.

Yelp
Great food and the staff is very polite and attentive. Great for date night or just a dinner with the family.
google avatar

Yung B.

Yelp
Fresh quick and fantastic! First time there super nice helpful staff. Order came out in under 5 minutes. The server described the dish and how to eat it. Meat of a very high quality, fried egg runny cooked to perfection. I officially have 0 negative things to say about my experience. Best lunch in Brentwood so far!

Dee D.

Yelp
My first experience with them was ok. I think I was probably expecting something a little more different. I need to go back and try different entrées.
google avatar

Sue F.

Yelp
I had a bowl which was very good and plentiful. My son ordered teriyaki chicken which was light on the sauce and enough rice to feed 5 people. It will not be ordered again by us.
google avatar

Hannah W.

Yelp
Stopped by Soy Bistro for lunch. Read great reviews and saw yummy looking pictures, so that's why we picked this spot. It's a casual environment where you stand in line to order, then seat yourself at a table with a number and an employee will bring your food. We originally chose the place to try their noodles, but unfortunately they had ran out by the time we ordered for lunch. I believe their noodles are hand made, so I wished they could have just made more or at least not sold out mid-lunch time. Alternatively, we tried their spicy gochujang fried rice and curry fried rice with gochujang chicken. We were actually very pleased with our food. The fried rice portions were huge. The food was hot and fresh. It was very well made, very flavorful. The chicken was moist. The prices were a little on the expensive side, but because of the high quality, I am ok with that. I would definitely come back (hopefully to try the noodles next time). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes flavorful and fresh Asian food!
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
It was my first time going to Soy Bistro and I really enjoyed it! I had the Yaki Udon Noodles and the lettuce wraps. My friend got the beef bulgogi and dumplings. I really loved the lettuce wraps the most! The restaurants ventilation inside is a little smokey so you definitely will smell like food when you leave. Other than that, I was definitely satisfied.
google avatar

Sonali S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. This is some of the best Korean food we have ever had. I went there for dinner with my husband. I ordered the bimibap in a skillet with tofu. He ordered the tofu teriyaki and we shared a bowl of fried rice with tofu. Everything was hot, delicious and amazing. The gochujang suace is unlimited and plentiful. The chef came out himself to make sure that we liked our food. Just a really wonderful place to eat.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Small restaurant so get there early because there's a line out the door. The staff absolutely cares about getting your order right - gluten free is a must and they do a great job. Highly recommend.

Maggie L.

Yelp
Love it!! Love many of the dishes and flavors of things. The owner is lovely and so are the staff. My fav is the fish tacos!! It's a tad small so takeout is good or just go on an off hour to get seating.
