Spicy Moon comes highly recommended, both by people online and by vegan NYC locals, so we were very excited to visit. The first thing you notice is the eye-catching use of pink throughout the restaurant – we also bought a pair of their branded pink chopsticks as a souvenir!
We initially thought the prices seemed a little high, although the portion sizes were far bigger than we expected and we can see that you definitely get a good amount of food for your money – bear this in mind when ordering. We opted for:
-Vegetable Spring Roll (comes as two)
-General Tso's Vegan Chicken
-Salt & Pepper Style (which comes with broccoli, potato, eggplant, mushrooms, and tofu by default) with added vegan chicken as an extra
We found it a very large lunch, certainly more than enough for two.
Service was friendly and attentive, no complaints.
Definitely a must-see if you're a fan of Asian food and in the area, despite the strong competition in vegan food nearby.
