The 22 Best Restaurants in Malmö, Sweden - Eater

"A husband-and-wife duo — a former chef and the sommelier of two-Michelin-starred Daniel Berlin, respectively — opened this lunch-only restaurant, where the entire menu is built around discarded food from distributors and producers. In other words, they salvage the ingredients that would otherwise go to waste and turn it into dishes that blend Nordic comfort food with the techniques of fine dining. The menu changes daily depending on the produce they receive. [$]" - Alisa Larsen

What Does Food Look Like when Sustainability is the Main Ingredient?

"A waste-fighting ethos defines the cooking here, with chef Erik Andersson buying ingredients that suppliers would otherwise discard—like rescuing a box of vegetables where a few pieces are moldy while the rest are perfectly usable." - Marisel Salazar

Nice restaurant with a good menu that changes every day. I often go to join burning the work day. It can be crowded but unless you are numerous you wont have any problems to find a place to sit. The restaurant itself is nice and the waitress are always very nice. There are always one option with meat and one vegetarian. It's a shame that the vegetarian option is often the "normal" one, but without meat, and just a little bit more vegetables, and for the same price on top of that. More though could be put into the vegetarian option that end up being very bland.

By far the best lunch restaurant in Malmö.. Ellinor and Erik have both been schooled by the best chef in the world Daniel Berlin.

No bread nor small cake as was included in lunch before. Today was also too much sauce and too litte actual food. But it did taste very good. Coffee was good too ! Overall, it seems hard to keep the same standard as before when getting bigger. Wishing you luck. Cheers

I had the privilege of sitting with Erik and Ellinor to plan the catering for my PhD dissertation dinner and what they created was astonishing. Equally, the food at their restaurant is scrumptious, and the setup is very simple but with attention to the details, starting with their beautiful plates. Their motivation is incredible and I personally believe they changed the landscape of lunch restaurants in the city with their concept of only using ingredients that would be otherwise trashed, both from the large distribution and from local producers. Fantastic! The new location is fantastic, bright and roomy yet cozy and with a distinct Scandinavian touch!

This spot has a “meal of the day” menu, which is not uncommon among diners in Nordic countries. Dining here feels smooth and quiet. Amazing experience.

Great place. We popped in there eventually on our day trip to Malmö, and it was a great surprise. Great, confort food. They offer water, teas and coffee with you main course (meat or veg) and the concept of zero waste is spectacular. Oh, and the staff was so helpful and nice Really recommended.
