16 Fun Bars With Things To Do Besides Drink

"Spin is perfect for all types of table tennis athletes—whether you’re a former sleepaway camp ping pong champion wanting to relive your glory days or you just like rallying with a paddle in one hand and a beer in the other (a.k.a multi-tasking). The massive space has 20 ping-pong tables that are reservable online, but if you get there when they open, you should be able to walk in and snag one. Their long bar has cocktails and beer on tap, and though dishes like cheese curds and burgers won’t blow your mind, they’re good enough for a quick power snack between sets." - josh barnett, john ringor

Spin - Review - River North - Chicago - The Infatuation

"While the food here may not necessarily be life-changing, in the context of bar food at a ping pong spot, it’s pretty good. Spin is a massive space with 20 ping pong tables that can be reserved online by the hour, or just walk in and grab a table—if you’re there close to when they open you should be able to snag one easily. The pulled pork sandwiches are tender with bright vinegar slaw, and the smashburger is juicy with a tangy tomato bacon jam, and you can snack on things like nachos. Eat at the bar or at one of their many dining tables, but there are also counters on the sidelines for grabbing bites between sets. It's great for a birthday, post-work hang, or a casual date night." - John Ringor

Google
Great place to have fun and play some ping pong!!! Came here with a friend and was surprised how awesome this place is. You rent tables to play table tennis and while you are at it you can order food and drinks. Their fries and pizza are really good, and the drinks are tasty too. Every Friday at 9PM they have a tournament, where people of all levels are welcome to have some fun. It’s a great place to social and play some ping pong

My friend and I had a good time at Spin, we played for an hour and coming back with our group of friends. The music and vibes were great. I recommend if y’all looking to play ping pong, drink, and chill.

Google
We hosted a corporate event here, and I don't think any other venue compares! Everything from the contracting process to the event night was amazing. There was plenty for people to do - whether they wanted to play ping pong, table tables, stand around, or sit around - there was an option for literally everyone. The food was truly amazing! I never expect too much from stationed/buffet foods, but everything tasted like it was it's own individually ordered meal. We even got feedback from our customers that the food was amazing! But the best part of it all was the staff. Each and every server, bartender, and coordinator was 5 stars. Truly the kindest people that made a great venue and even better experience!

Google
Spin was such a fun time! There were good quality paddles, tables, and balls, and the service was quick and attentive! I hosted a small party here and it was a huge hit. There was a bit of a miscommunication in terms of how many tables I had booked, but the staff were incredibly accommodating, despite the fact that Spin was fully booked for the night! It's a very fun place to hang out and play table tennis, and the employees are empowered to take action and make sure no issue is left unresolved!

Google
Neat place. It's definitely a good time if you love to play games. Ping pong, connect 4, bean bags. and uno were just a few you could play. Food wasn't too bad. Just some choices I wouldn't try. Lol, the service was on point. They were there to clear away plates and ask if you wanted anything to drink right away. It was rather loud inside, so hard to hear your conversation, but I guess the more you drink and the more fun you have, the more it really doesn't matter. Lol, it was nice that you could park at the House of Blues, which was right next door. But I would recommend you give it a try if you and your friends are looking for a fun night.

Taylor Dekking

Google
We went to eat only and to let my daughter watch some ping pong and play some of the other games (Jenga, connect 4). This made the whole experience very awkward. Only go if you plan on playing pong. Thank goodness the food was excellent because the service was very poor when we went against the grain of normal Spin protocol.

Google
Corporate Event Buyout This was our second year hosting a client event at SPIN. Rob, Desirae, and Liz go out of their way to accommodate and make sure we're set up for success every time. I’m able to come early to help set up for the event, although year after year, there’s barely any additional set up required as the team is so on top of their game. Desire and Rob helped greatly this year by individually wrapping hundreds of individual client gifts and adding them to gift bags. They set them up beautifully throughout the venue. SPIN’s décor at atmosphere are stunning, and the food is great too! They keep it stocked through the event. Rob, Desirae, and Liz foster a beautiful team environment at SPIN Chicago and it shows! Nearly every member of the team from servers, to bartenders, to the ping pong pro went out of their way to introduce themselves and check back in throughout the evening to make sure everything was going well. I LOVE hosting events at SPIN Chicago. Many received lessons from the pro throughout the evening. Paulina, the pro is delightful and was a joy to chat with before the event began! Roberto, one of the bartenders, was so kind and delightful. The bar is also really fast, so even at events of 390, the line and wait is never longer than a few seconds. Can't say enough good things! Thank you all!

SO FUN!! It’s something fun to do while also having a few drinks. Definitely an interactive atmosphere! The staff was great, so friendly, and personable! Loved it, hope to be back soon!

Yelp
I went to Spin in June of 2024 and had a great time! Spin is a popular ping pong social club located in Chicago, IL. The decor is modern and stylish, with plenty of ping pong tables, comfortable seating areas, and an energetic vibe that makes it a great place for groups and parties. I had a fun time shooting hoops, playing ping pong, and foosball. Spin features a full menu of food and drinks. The menu includes a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. I had the macaroni and cheese and it was the best! I had the The drink menu is extensive, offering a range of craft beers, cocktails, and wines. My drinks were delicious! The staff at Spin were friendly and attentive. Spin is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Nachos are short rib and delish! Heather was the server and on point and friendly!! Prices were fair for the demographic and location. We would go back!

Yelp
What a fantastic place! SPIN has really got it all - ping pong, cornhole, cocktails, food, and a bunch of other games. I was pleasantly surprised by their food and drinks! Located in River North, this is a multi-level bar and grill that has tons of games, primarily ping pong. I would have never known this big space was here since it's pretty tucked away and doesn't look half as bag on the outside as it is on the inside. Truly the most perfect spot for events of any sort - birthday parties, corporate events, team building, etc. Their cocktails were soooo good; I got a classic margarita and the Mulling Manhattan and they were both perfect. The staff was personable and fun, too. I really liked their Mediterranean sampler - their hummus, tzatziki, olives, pita, and falafel were delicious. For a non-Mediterranean place, it was very good! Their brussels sprouts were delectable, too. I recommend coming here with a group so you can have a mini ping pong competition. Nothing bad to say about the place. I will totally be back here!

Yelp
I had gone to SPIN in Austin and was super excited to check out the location in downtown Chicago. We went on a Saturday just after opening and got seated very quickly. Our drinks and food came out within 10 minutes and man, the loaded nachos are absolutely where it's at! I am usually not a fan of that many toppings on any dish but it was cohesive and delicious. The set up of the tables inside is unique and modern and we had a great time there!

Yelp
Came for an event hosted by my company. I'm not much of a ping pong player, but I enjoyed the drinks, appetizers and of course the company. Service was good.

Yelp
Great vibe, great service, great food, great everything. I will come back here every time I'm in Chicago! Thanks to Michelle, Lily, and Evan- we came for a work event and they really attended to our needs all night. The chicken nachos are TO DIE FOR. 10/10 experience!

Yelp
What a fun place for an event! Came in for some team fun and had a great experience. Our servers were on top on keeping food and drinks available, shout out to Evan and Michelle!

Yelp
I attended two events at SPIN (hosted by Jackson Chance foundation) and I was impressed by the space, fun activities, cleanliness and service. Their team seems to be motivated to ensure you have a great and fun experience while there.

Yelp
Great experience. Fun, has ping pong tables as well as huge uno cards. Great place to relax and chat with friends.

Yelp
Cool place to go for a work event or to hang out with friends. I was invite to this place by a guy friend. Parking was adequate with street parking and valet near by. The atomsphere was pretty cool and laid back. Many ping pong tables! I love the fact that there was seating around to hang out and have a drink. Our waitress Piper was the sweetest person! She made the experience there even nicer. I would definitely go back!

Yelp
We enjoyed our event that was held at Spin Chicago. The venue is quite spacious and the table tennis (aka ping pong) theme is fun (gives you something more to do than just drinking). The bartenders are professional and there are plenty of staff to help with questions. There are many table tennis balls so you can play a very high paced game without having to run around to retrieve a ball (like in my days as a student). There's also shuffleboard and other things to do. I cannot comment on prices because our event was paid for by the sponsor. Overall I really liked this place and I'm glad I was here!
google avatar

Yelp
I was invited to attend for drinks and ping pong for a friend and my birthday. Atmosphere was fun, and food was good. Drinks were very inconsistent in flavor. How do we order multiple of the same drink and they all taste drastically different?? Also, there was booking issues... which caused sone drama at the beginning of our evening. That being said I feel the customer service is so-so. That being said I would still suggest checking them out since it was a fun time. Follow me on IG @ j.o.realness to check out other restaurants through our beautiful city of Chicago!

Yelp
Rory was fantastic!! Such a great server! He was at the first bar upon entrance and he was able to give us many recommendations for the city as well as drink recommendations! He was so sweet and made us feel so welcomed!

Yelp
Fun place (especially if you like ping pong)! Good food options for all dietary types. The staff is very friendly as well. If you've never been to a ping pong bar before, a few things to know: -no matter where you are sitting or standing expect a few balls to hit you (don't worry they don't hurt) -people get surprisingly competitive -you don't have to pick up balls, staff comes around with a cool ball pickup contraption -you will have a basket of balls at your disposal -expect to see many corporate parties -if ping pong is not your speed there are many games scattered around such as jumbo Jenga, connect four, etc. There is even an Atari Pong machine (I believe this costs extra) -they have a photo booth (I believe this costs extra as well) Overall we had fun and would go again. The only reason I'm docking a star is because the music was loud and made it hard to have a conversation.
google avatar

Hector R.

Yelp
So much fun at this place! The ambiance is Excellent. Music was great and we played ping pong for an hour and a half, and I could not stop laughing! It is definitely a place that's worth visiting. The food was delicious. Melissa & Brandy at the front desk were super cool and very helpful.  I was nervous at first because I was told you're not supposed to clean up your own balls but Melissa went around with a net collecting all the balls which made me feel better. It was very aesthetically appealing inside and I overall had a great time!
google avatar

Laverne A.

Yelp
First of all before you get inside there is a sitting area with ping pong tables under heating lamps and VERY comfortable chair/sofas. Wow I was impressed. Then as you enter the location the bottom floor has an open floor of ping pong tables, (spaced out perfectly) skee ball tables, a massive DJ booth that plays the best mix of music for every taste. I don't drink but we were there for Alice birthday and they set up a area of fresh water and clean glasses for us to partake. I enjoyed my conversations with the mixologist she was new to her role but she had the customer service skills down. Let me pivot for a minute to the food while it's on my mind then I'll come back to customer service. I'm not a huge meat eater but I tried everything last night: The grilled flank steak amazing, it was tender, tasty and tantalizing, the BBQ wings were good, the Vegan power crunch salad was AMAZING as was the other salad which I can't remember the name. The food was buffet style, pretty plating and the plates and silverware was beautiful. I think the silverware was black matte and the plates were white which I appreciated because I like being able to see my food. So thankful to whoever works on the logistics they thought of it all. So back to customer service, from the moment you walk in at the front desk you are greeted and immediately pulled into the warmth shared. There was three people at the desk and two of us walked in. While one Associate put my wrist band on, the other came from behind the desk to put one on my spouse to keep the line moving and service us quickly. Great thinking All in all we had a great time Games available Jenga, life size connect four and the biggest uno card set I ever seen. Let the games begin.

Yelp
Corporate events here are ok,, the food is like eating frozen microwave oven , the only ping pong table it's a tight area , the drink and hostess mediocre. No place to put you jacket either

Yelp
My friends and I made last-minute plans to visit SPIN. We booked a table on a Saturday for $39 per hour (weekday price is $29), and they had a ton of time slots available for the evening. We arrived on time and were told where all the games were. The staff were super friendly. The service was quick, and the place constantly stayed clean because there are special tools to pick up the ping pong balls on the floor. We played ping pong doubles for about an hour and spent the rest of the time with the giant UNO cards. There was also Jenga available along with a few other games. We were told when there was 10 minutes left. At the end, we hung around the area but were asked to move to the bar because another party coming in, which was totally understandable. The staff still paid for a round of drinks for asking us to move, which was SO kind and not necessary at all! Regardless, we enjoyed drinks at the bar, and it was an enjoyable evening!

Joe S.

Yelp
A bit tucked away on a Saturday night, less busy than I'd anticipate. Super fun, great cocktails, highly recommend the sampler platter.

Yelp
Cool place cant believe I hadn't been here before this. If you like ping pong this is the place for you. They also have a few other games, (jinga) It was a surprise bday party for a friend. We had a section downstairs. Upon entry I was greeted and told me where to go. It was lively lots of parties and celebrating. After I said my hello's I went to the bar to order no sever. It took me a minute to get some service but I gave my order and waited. Sitting in the area waiting I wanted some water. All the hate glasses were dirty. When my food finally came no silverware or napkins. I had to ask more than once. Once I asked for a manager, who was helpful we got new water glasses (still dirty) and I got 3 roll-ups. The service was suspect but the food was delicious. I ordered the salad with chicken, and fries. The salad is huge more lettuce than chicken but it was tasty. The lettuce was green and fresh, dressing not too over bearing, it had a little kick to it (which I like) and the chicken was seasoned. The fries im not sure what was on them but they were great, and I am a fries snob. Fresh, crispy and yummy. My drink was a spicy marg. with a splash of pineapple and when I asked for this specifically the bartender nailed it. I just wish he was a bit more friendly.
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
The team at this place is absolutely fantastic. They were all not only welcoming but also displayed a great sense of humor. I truly enjoyed the unique socializing concept offered here, especially for those seeking a more relaxed alternative to a traditional bar experience on a lively Saturday night. It's also perfect for those who prefer to observe rather than engage, allowing you to enjoy your drink in peace without any social pressure.

Mial R.

Yelp
This was such a cool experience. My girlfriend and I found this place on a whim when we didn't know what to do last night in Chicago. Luckily, reservations were still available to book out a table, so we ate before our 8 pm reservation. The host Melissa was super sweet and helpful when I asked for recommendations. The wings were so good! The drinks were both strong and super flavorful! It was such a cool vibe, tables lined up, and dim lighting for cool ping pong. Def recommend for a fun night.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
The place is what you would expect. Many ping pong tables and ping pong balls galore. The food was excellent along with the service. We went with a work team and had a great time. The drinks were great and the place was extremely clean and nice.

Yelp
LOVED spin! A fast paced, quick serve type of bar. Lively music, soaring ping pong balls, and chatter all around; you're sure to enjoy SPIN Chicago for its exciting environment and excellent service!
google avatar

Kit C.

Yelp
My bf was raving about this place for the longest time about their huge portion and delicious nachos. We finally visited here on a Friday night- it wasn't crowded but they had a tournament happening which was fun to watch. The nachos was so so. The have other game that's free such as janga and connect 4. Overall a nice vibe with good music!
google avatar

Rebekah S.

Yelp
Definitely a great activity for date nights, family hangs and groups. Are tables expensive? Yes. Do I worry about picking up all the stray ping pong balls? Absolutely not. Decent bar food and excellent service all around.

Pat D.

Yelp
I have a friend who gave a $7000 deposit for a party. Now she can't contact the business, even went there. No one was there. They took her money, now she has no way to get her money back. Yes, here comes lawsuits. Should be zero stars, but you have to pick one

Tracey W.

Yelp
Mark and April took amazing care of us, great drinks and great service. Can't be beat!!!
google avatar

Eva L.

Yelp
I came with my boyfriend to play ping pong and unwind on a Friday night after visiting their location in Seattle while on vacation. The Chicago location is bigger and quieter... we ordered some drinks and food (nachos) and I would say that the server who looked after us was really nice and friendly, but the food - for what it is - is INCREDIBLY expensive and not tasty, considering that you're already paying for the table on an hourly basis. I wish there was something more to write home about... probably will be a while before I revisit.
google avatar

Norman P.

Yelp
i joined a group of friends on Saturday night for cocktails. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. The DJ was mixing some classic 80's tunes which was a blast. We played shuffle board and had to go to another bar before we could hit the ping pong tables. Maybe next time!

Tyra B.

Yelp
It was great. My first time there. The bartender was super nice, the drinks and food were good. I will come back with more people sometime!
google avatar

Vicki N.

Yelp
Came here for a Do312 event on a Friday night for a Retro Roller Skating party. Great party place, pretty well equipped. Service hit or miss. Venue is loud and dark, and food a little overpriced. A small bar with some drinks and extremely overpriced quick bites was set up for the skating event. More options at main bar, but the food orders took forever and service was super slow, likely due to the high turnout and crowded bar. This may be because of the event, but it seemed like they weren't prepared to handle the numbers this event brought in. Solid 2.75. Had a good time overall, but prefer AceBounce for the atmosphere, better food, and ping pong.
google avatar

Daniel F.

Yelp
SPIN can be a great option for a place to host a happy hour. It's very spacious but be sure to reserve a booth section to accommodate your party. Area immediately next to the stairs is your best bet because they can just put you on this extended area . Happy hour special is a great deal, $5 drafts and similar priced vodka wells. Food was awesome and would definitely have those polenta fries again.

Yelp
Home of corporate bonding activity! I have to admit it might be a choice when you have a bunch of people in town and not sure what to do for a "fun" activity during a company meeting... especially one that hasn't been done before. There are some nice this about Spin. The atmosphere is fun and trendy and the staff is friendly. It's also clean and has great art work on the walls. Maybe I'm not the best person to make a review for the ping pong part because that just wasn't for me, but some of the people in my group enjoyed themselves. I was most let down by the food. Pizza was average at best and I liked the rest of the options even less! Because of a bad Uber, I got there about 15mins late and I heard they had hamburger sliders (that were good) but they were long gone. Never to be replenished. The cheese plate had hard and soft cheese as some paper thinly sliced meats, but no crackers to put the soft cheese on! There was also some other sliders that seemed to be a chicken nugget placed on a tiny bun, later they brought out some hard rye bread (maybe for the soft cheese?) most of which was hardly touched. There was tons of food left over (trust me.. if it was good, it would have been gone)! Tiny Dessert bars were also pretty much thrown away at the end. Waiters came around once in a while with food samples while we played. The samples were tasty..but they hardly ever came around. I got 6 tooth picks of bite size samples in the 2 hours we were there. I'm pretty sure this outing costed about $100 a person (not exactly sure on the price). I thought it was way overpriced. But I think they know corporate planners are looking for different fun sounding activities, and know they can set their price. I'm pretty sure in a few years from now ping pong bars like Spin, are going to be one of those fads on TV shows or Facebook pages show things that were popular in the 2010's "Remember when we paid $100 to eat crappy food, drink beer and play ping pong".!

Lisa B.

Yelp
I can't see why everyone wouldn't give SPIN Chicago a 5-star rating. My two friends and I walked in on a Tuesday, just to have something to do other than eat and drink at a restaurant and WE HAD A BALL!! I mean, for $29/hour, we enjoyed playing game after game and the best part of all was that we didn't have to chase after any balls! The staff let us know "don't worry about it, we'll get those for you". We had a blast!!! Stacy, our server was SO SWEET!! I always try to make it a rule to tip in cash and she actually hugged us as we were leaving!! The entire place is beautiful and I recommend it for adults and kids. There's something there for everyone. Great food (we ordered the Margarita pizza and the pepperoni pizza, but we preferred the Margarita). The Asian wings were crispy, but a little saltier than I would have liked. And, the trio of sweet potato fries, regular fries, jicama sticks with dipping sauces was delicious. Plenty of drink options, including several choices for beer. We will return!!
google avatar

Garrett H.

Yelp
A undiscovered gem of a place! Didn't know this place existed until a recommendation from a friend. Loved the energy and vibe. My company came here for a event and enjoyed every part of it! Xavier is a delight and staff are very friendly. Our server Stacy was great and very attentive. We WILL be back! I recommend the Burgers to everyone and the dessert trays were amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
I went here for a live art battle and met Hannibal Buress. Drinks were amazing. We had so much fun. Next time I will play ping pong.
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
Group of my friends came to this spot before the pandemic. It's an okay spot to come to hang, chill, and play some ping pong. I just consider this place to be quite pricy in my opinion. The atmosphere is great with good music.

Iyonna A.

Yelp
This establishment has the worst customer service I ever experienced. The door handlers are so entitled and take their jobs too serious for $19 an hour. They have egotistical tendencies and don't know how to treat black women
google avatar

Ken O.

Yelp
My department (nearby hotel) held our holiday party at SPIN recently. I will say, we all had a great time. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they enjoyed their job..... at least with our group. The food that was selected was great and always being refilled. Ever though our package included various wines and beers, there was plenty of adult beverages to choose from.... mixed drinks were available, just incase..... In our area, we had couple of ping pong tables, bar area, and couple seating areas were there were plenty of board games to choose from. The staff would make sure the ping pong balls would be picked up from the floor and they would make sure the games would be picked up and put away within minutes. I would recommend this place for departmental outings and friends night out. I would return.
google avatar

Jacky C.

Yelp
Terrible service, they don't acknowledge Asian Americans. Did not explained how their system worked. There were so many staff just standing around. Don't come here they're not friendly to Asians even though ping pong is an Asian sport. SMFH.

Yelp
The Yelp company party was at SPiN last week and it was a fabulous time. SPiN has multiple levels which worked so well for a huge company party of about 500 people. Food was solid from fresh vegetables with hummus to pita & guacamole to mini sliders to shrimp! Everything was tasty and staff was excellent about bringing out more when the various buffets got gobbled up. Drinks were free flowing and there were good options. The beer list left a bit to be desired for this beer chick though, especially what was on draft. All in all though, what they had was respectable. We had a lot going on - facepainters, photobooths, aerial artists plus of course the ping pong! That's what SPiN is all about! Dem bouncing balls! The layout worked really well to accommodate all working parts of the party & fun was had by all!

Yelp
Stumbled upon SPIN with a friend who was visiting from out of town. It was a bit late on a Saturday night, but there were ping pong tables available. 8 bucks gets you an hour of ping pong. Basically there are bright orange balls flying everywhere, but staff is really good at picking them up with their long net doohickeythingamabobbers :) I was surprised at how fun it actually was to play ping pong. Everyone around me was getting really into it, as well. The music was booming, but it wasn't annoying. The staff was having a great time working there, as well, so it made it more fun to hang out there. Ordered the steak and fries to share and they were delicious. For the price and how late it was, I was very pleased to be able to get such a substantial and tasty meal. There was also free PONG video game tables, which was also cool to check out. I don't know if I could go more than an hour of playing ping pong, but in that hour I had tons of fun and grabbed some tasty bites. I would definitely stop by again with more friends when I'm in the area.

Yelp
I was super excited about this place. I love ping pong, beer and food. They had it all! The place is very clean, well run and the food was decent. I am giving it three stars based on how you rent ping pong tables and how strict they are. We rented for a hour which was 39$ and they had stopped us down the the minute which was fine but the place was completely empty, not one other table in use. I would have thought the 2nd and 3rd hour would have been discounted. If so, we would have stayed, drank more, ate more and ultimately spent more $. I likely won't be comping back, they clearly don't want ppl to play pong here for more than a hour..

Yelp
Simply put, this is trendy bar for the young crowd and young at heart, with excellent drinks, a freinly staff, and ping pong tables everywhere. The place is set up to hold events (corporate or otherwise) with 2 floors and multiple open space rooms that could be individually "closed" for special events. I was there for an event, and found the appetizers were deliciously appropriate for drinks. For some, the rental cost for ping pong playing time may be a little high, especially at prime time; but if you have the skills to show off, it's worth the price. I won't hesitate to suggest Spin as the spot to stop to meet and drink. ... And have another cranberry mule or 2 They are "intoxicating"

Yelp
SPIN is a really fun place! Whether you come to play seriously, just for fun, or only to watch, you'll have a good time! They have plenty of space. So, it's a cool hang out. You can play gigantic Jenga or connect four, as well as, of course, ping-pong. They have many tables and plenty of balls. They are everywhere! You can even have your picture taken with your friend in a bathtub of balls! LOL We've never had SPIN's food, but they do offer it. We've only come to play ping-pong or to watch and have drinks. The beer selections are pretty decent. They have a variety of tap and bottle/can choices. They also have wines and prosecco, but we didn't find their mixed drinks or martini's to be very good. They were 'meh.' So, I had to deduct my rating slightly for that. Their music is awesome! They have a DJ on site, who plays on Fridays and Saturdays. (I don't know about weekdays). He plays a great variety, whether you like old school Grand Master Flash or Led Zeppelin through present artists and everything great in-between. He mixes the beats well and makes it work! It adds to the fun of the experience! That said, I took off slightly more points for the crazy loud volume. For shits and giggles, I downloaded a decibel app to see exactly how loud it really was down there, and the meter ranged in the high 80s to low 90s. Check out the decibel comparison charts for yourself--that's loud! To put that in perspective, that's like trying to have a convo with your dad as he mowing the lawn. You: "How'd ya like the movie?" Dad: ...as he's moving the lawn, "What?" You: "HOW'D YOU LIKE THE MOVIE!?" Dad: "Huh?" You: "H-O-W++D-I-D++Y-O-U++L-I-K-E++T-H-E++M-O-V-I-E++??!!" Dad: "YOU DID W-H-A-T?" LOL Yeah, that part kind of sucks! It would actually be a better place if they lowered it a frickin' notch. Well, maybe two! Nonetheless, the place is still really cool! So, I'll keep the 4-starts. There is also a good mix of patrons. It's fun for everyone! Lastly, we've been here several times, but on one occasion, we were lucky enough to see two ping-pong professionals battle it out. It was very exciting! They were smacking the ball so fast, you could hardly see it whizzing by! I've only ever seen that on TV (or on Forest Gump---LOL). It was super cool! We'll be back!

Yelp
Reasonably priced ping pong social club with a fun vibe and buzzing atmosphere. If you don't have table tennis in your office, this is a great place to enjoy a few games with friends, without breaking the bank. The price is about $8 per hour or $39 per table with 5+ people. There's also specials late at night for unlimited pong for a fixed price. In addition, there's a nice selection of drinks, snacks, and shareable entrees.

Yelp
Is Chicago big enough for 2 ping pong spots in the same vicinity? I guess we will find out. This is great for groups and parties. This place is not flashy or glitzy as Acebounce. SPiN has a more laid back ambiance with still an element of trend. I've been to the one in NYC so I was more familiar with it. The food menu had something for everyone that leans toward comfort food (the food at Acebounce is a stark contrast). The truffle fries are awesome here. We came in for a surprise birthday party and the staff was friendly to work with. The drink menu is expansive enough for everyone. If you don't want to play, there a some good bar spaces upstairs when you enter and many bar seats.
