"If you judge your cheeseburger by how many napkins you need to have on hand when you eat it, then Brewerytown’s Spot Gourmet Burger is the place for you. Their Santa Fe burger is loaded with avocado, pepper jack cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, lettuce, and hot sauce. You might not want to eat it while rocking your favorite shirt. But that doesn't mean you're not going to want to eat it on a monthly basis. " - Candis Mclean, Alison Kessler

Google
Food is awesome - the best burger I’ve had in Philly. They were super fresh. We saw them actually hand forming the patties after we ordered. The nuggets were like an even better version of McDonald’s. Will definitely be a regular spot.

Google
One of the many new restaurants in Brewerytown. They're burgers are pretty good and their staff is pretty cool. I really like their Roquefort burger. I just wish the restaurant was a little bigger but it's worth the visit

Steven Kovacs

Google
One of the best burgers 🍔 I have ever had! So good! Good eats !

Eric Pan

Google
Burgers definitely on the top tier in Philly places for a quick bite, although it is not comparable to restaurant quality such as Bad Brother or Barclay Prime, but with the price of what it is for it is just too good. Cheesesteak definitely out beats a bunch of big name places, it is super standard cheesesteak that uses sliced steak, it is not as good as Woodrow's or Joe's but it is something I would still get if I have food here, 8.5/10 Burgers are what it is named after, gourmet burgers, the burger is constructed perfectly and each floor had its purpose being there, there is no building without a second floor or a fifth floor, every floor is needed to become a building. Best burger for a cheap price 9.5/10 Fries are normal fries, expect about what you get respect them fries, period. They give free food for poor family children, alot of respect for the owner. Meow~

Google
I ordered here the other day in a big work group order and was stoked to see such a cool sketched Zombie on receipt paper after noting to write my name "Zombie" on the order so I could find it easily! Haha this was epic, whoever sketched this thank you for making my week, btw I framed it, it's up in my wall of art and the burger was soooo good, and the fries were the amazing. I'll be ordering again soon! 🍻🧟‍♂️🪦

Google
Great burgers and fries. Best buns and freshest ingredients. Always on time for Pickup and super friendly. Try their BigMac, I wont ever go back to the original, this one is the real deal. Great flat top dogs too.

Nicklas Sapp

Google
The best burger I’ve had in Philly… great service, super accommodating… always stop by when on this side of town.

Google
This place is amazing. Great music! Very nice staff. And the burgers are a absolute missile!! Fresh. No frozen junk. I’ll will deff be back!!

Katie P.

Yelp
THIS IS OUR GO TO BURGER SPOT!! The food always tastes fresh and the service is consistently good. I'm always greeted by friendly staff and they all seem to be very productive. Even on busy nights my food is made with a sense of urgency and somehow the quality has never been compromised. I switch my order nearly every time because everything is so good. But one thing we always get is the sloppy fries. And we will continue to always get the sloppy fries. They might be the best tasting sloppy fries on the planet. You guys do a great job and we're overjoyed that we found you. Thanks for being such a great food option in our community. Cheers to sloppy fries and great service.

Yelp
We didn't know what to expect since we were from out of town and it was a last minute meal but the veggie burger was yummy!

Jackie M.

Yelp
Came here with some family because my brother lives in this neighborhood. I am a vegetarian and got a veggie burger here. This is a veggie burger, not fake meat (so no beyond or impossible). Honestly, this was just wasn't too my taste and I probably won't be back. The veggie burger just wasn't that good and fell apart. I would prefer beyond or impossible. It was also annoying that my burger took a lot longer than the regular burger. Just not my favorite. My family seemed to love the regular burger.

Tina S.

Yelp
Didn't take any photos because we were starving but this was a cute little spot (no pun intended). My husband and I were headed to get ice cream at Harper's but didn't realize they open at 2 pm and we were there at 1:30. Decided to pop into SPOT to grab some burgers while we waited to get our sweet treat at Harper's. Menu was via a QR code and they had a lot of options, not just burgers. I opted for a double smash burger and my husband got one of their signature burgers and a chicken sandwich. I was a bit disappointed that I could not add lettuce to my smash burger but it's okay. Staff was attentive and helpful. Food came out in less than 15 minutes and it was pretty good! Sometimes smash burgers are overly greasy but this one was perfect!

Winnie M.

Yelp
Had a chance to try this place for lunch. I wish they had more variety like sweet potato fries. The burger was pretty average but it's in an easily accessible area. Most people I saw come in were just doing take out. But they do have tables where you can eat in there.

Mejire A.

Yelp
I would recommend checking out this restaurant, got a cowboy chicken sandwich and it was so good and tender. The food came out fast as promised even though they were really busy. The host was great and kind as well.

Ryley P.

Yelp
Great neighborhood "spot". The burgers are excellent, super well priced, and perfect for a quick grab and go. The smash burger is super filling and super cheap --you can throw on a huge amount of toppings and support a small business as opposed to say Shake Shack.

Lailaa S.

Yelp
15 dollars for a mediocre burger SMFH NEVER AGAIN DONT WASTE YA $$ or time Service is terrible

Mike B.

Yelp
Seems like a chill local spot. Inside was pretty cramped so not sure I'd want to dine in but the guys working were super friendly. I ordered by phone and they had it ready in about 10min. Reasonably priced, fresh, hot and perfectly cooked medium. I got the Spot Burger and it was delicious. I didn't know what to expect with the coleslaw but it just worked! If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend.

Chris T.

Yelp
A good burger from a SPOT I didn't know existed. Nice burger especially if you're in the area with a lot of options and customizations. Would definitely eat it again, the ingredients tasted fresh and the greens had a good crunch to them. A good fry with a burger is important and this place had that. Couldn't forget the bev, calypso Ocean Blue Lemonade!

Takiema T.

Yelp
Order via Uber Eats but they use their own delivery drivers. Latest delivery time is 7:40 and it's 7:59 for 2 burgers ordered at 7:00. I called the store and they made it appear that it was all on UBER. I am really disappointed because I was really looking forward to this burger

Cherie C.

Yelp
I wanted a good burger, and I wanted to try a new place. Yelp pointed me to SPOT and I took a chance. I'm so glad I did. TLDR: the burgers are great and the fries are fresh and delicious. I knew nothing about SPOT or about their chef/owner. I clicked the "order online" button and looked at the menu without seeing the website. I didn't even really understand where it was--I just saw Girard and thought, "I can get there to pick up." [Sometimes you need a burger and you need it NOW--no time to fully vet your source.] The whole menu looks like "elevated" fast food: fast food made with care and with quality ingredients. Pickup was easy. I drove so that I could get my food faster. We parked at home, sat in the car and ate our food right away because it smelled so good. It also tasted so good. Fresh, juicy burgers and good fries hit the spot. No photos because I was HANGRY. I can't wait to try more from them next time I need a fast food fix. Maybe I'll remember to take a photo then.

Luna M.

Yelp
The line was out the door, but it moves fast. We had a party of 5, and we found seats. It's a small place, and aged (which is cool), but it was very clean. I had a medium Roquefort Sirloin Burger and Fries. I took one bite of the burger and realized I didn't want to eat anywhere else for the rest of my life. The balance and quality, preparation, and flavors formed an absolutely perfect symphony. When I finished the burger, I used my fries to soak up every last molecule of juice. I was teased for it, but I didn't care, for even those last remaining drops were better than every hamburger from everywhere else in the universe, in all of burger history. If I had to nitpick on one item, it's that the fries were good, and not the best fries I ever ate in my entire life. Honestly, who cares? Besides, after I dipped them in the remaining sauce, they BECAME the best fries on the planet

Yelp
Omg, this was my first meal on my first trip to Philly and it did Not disappoint! You know I love uplifting Local businesses and Chef Josh Kim (AAPI) does an amazing job. I had the Charlie Brown burger and I think my eyes rolled back in my head. It was so delicious and cooked perfectly medium. I'm still thinking about it. I also shared the cheesesteak fries. Yoooooo. These were bomb. Oh my goshhhh. Crispy medium cut fries topped with cheese wiz and tons of steak meat. Me and my friend took most of this home and reheated in the oven the next day! We tore those leftovers up! We also shared the hot sausage frank with grilled onions, mustard n ketchup. It was the right about of spice and actually kinda cleansed our palate so we could eat more. I was happily stuffed. Spot Gourmet Burger will definitely see me again on my next Philly trip. It's located in a super cute area called Brewerytown. It's an awesome area to walk around. Beautiful houses and a chill vibe! Have you really been to Philly if you haven't gone to Spot!

Megan Z.

Yelp
The interior is quite small but the offerings were big and bold in flavor. I got the spot burger thinking it was the most basic on the menu but I was surprised at everything that was included. The different textures, sauces and flavors complemented each other very well. I docked one star because my medium burger was closer to well done. I also enjoyed their fries. Good to know next time I'm craving a burger as they look to be available on GrubHub.

Fernando C.

Yelp
I've heard a lot about this place and decided to give it a go. Very unpretencious, but the burguers are not only delicious, but also the selection is different from what you usually find. I had the Roquefort Burger and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and very tasty! I will definetely go back!

Corey F.

Yelp
Good fresh burgers reasonable prices. Would be five stars but sometimes I don't feel welcome. I don't know if it's their vibe or what but I know Philly attitude and this feels more than that.

Justine P.

Yelp
The Spot Burger is my favorite burger in the city. The burger itself is always perfectly cooked, the bun is just enough bread and soft and chewy, the sauce is fantastic, and the slaw and pickles add that salty, briny crunch. DELICIOUS. And the fries are amazing too. Customer service is A+.

Tim L.

Yelp
Great burgers! You'll come back for another one once you've gone through the whole menu again after you've ordered, haha. Can't wait to come back to try their fried chicken.

Solmaz C.

Yelp
Our favorite places always end up being hole in the wall spots and Spots is now in our top 10. We came upon this spot on our way to the Philadelphia Zoo. They do not have indoor dining but do have tables set up outdoors. The burgers were amazing! They have several varieties on the menu or you can make your own. They have a sauce that they make that is amazing that you can add to your burger. I guess that you could consider these gourmet burgers. The best part is how the owner is helping out the local kids in his community by feeding them. He takes donations, has a box if you would like to donate money as well as a Venmo account. With or without donations he is helping out the community by cooking and delivering meals to kids. What a great business to support!!

G F.

Yelp
This is my favorite burger spot in the city. It's a low key spot with delicious food all around. I love the cheese fries too.

J P.

Yelp
Incredibly disappointing experience. Overall unwelcoming vibe. It's a shame because the food wasn't terrible, but the hostile environment and poor customer service overshadowed everything else. I definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. Avoid this place if you can.

David C.

Yelp
Looking for a burger done right? This is the right SPOT. Come check them out. They do beef burgers, chicken burgers, cheesesteaks, roast pork sandwiches, and occasional specials. The owner is a man of the community. Back when covid first happened, this man gave those working in the hospitality industry who had lost their jobs a free meal and drink. If that isn't a good enough reason to show support, then the food is definitely enough for you to come back. Even when I am on a diet, I get their burgers with a lettuce wrap to cut down on carbs. The options are really endless here and I much appreciate that!

Noah G.

Yelp
Really great staff, but the food was definitely overpriced. The fries were extremely underwhelming and the single smash burger had no sauce or flavor.

David K.

Yelp
Quality cheesesteak from fresh ground ribeye, American cheese evenly melted throughout, soft but not greasy like Pat's. Refined cheesesteak that is filling but doesn't make you feel bloated with grease and salt. Highly recommended to call in about 15min before arrival to cut down on the pay parking which was not bad at 0.70 for ~15min.

Lou R.

Yelp
Delivery guy left the food on the wet ground and didn't bother to knock or ring doorbell. By the time I noticed, because I happened to look on my camera, the food was cold and gross. What a waste of time and money. Video attached.

Brendan F.

Yelp
Best burgers around! The owner is a great dude. I was there and a local young kid came in basically demanding a burger. The owner told the chefs to make him a burger without hesitation and they didn't charge him. We need more people like the owner and business' like his. And again, legit best burgers around!

Sophia S.

Yelp
Wow, The Best Gourmet ever yummy!!!! Delicious Philadelphia amazing. I Initially when to stop in a get my Mothya quick burger for dinner, My Mother absolutely devoured her cheese burger. Spot burger is probably going to be the spot for dinner some times. .

Toni G.

Yelp
Hands down the best burger I've had since I left Los Angeles!!! A good friend recommended the burger spot since I'm new to the area. I went immediately because he's a real foodie. I to small storefront setup you literally see them make your burger and yes it's sirloin and fresh. When I say it taste different it's a challenge to describe but it'd definitely delicious and moist. I like the fries too and the beverage selection is premium. The men that take your order and prepare your meal are kind and respectful. Every time I walk in I'm greeted with a pleasant smile and genuine hi or I'll be right with you. I've sat as the bar, at the two seat tables and even in the back. It's a a perfect seat for you whatever mood you're in even if you want it to go. They are quick and friend and you will have the best burger of your LIFE... Bon Apetite

Lace D.

Yelp
I came here with my girls in August. The staff was friendly and good energy. And the food was amazing! I will definitely be visiting again when I return to Philly.

Zechariah T.

Yelp
Holy s**t, this place is good! In the top 5 burgers I've ever had. Great service, quick cooking, and a bomb burger. Definitely a hole in the wall type vibe with only 4/5 tables, but a Philly restaurant that shouldn't be missed. Can't go wrong with the staple SpOt burger! The fries were average, could be a perfect meal if they did their own spin on them some how. Also, make sure to read the post outside about helping to feed families that need it. Rare to see such altruism these days, great vibes!

Felix G.

Yelp
Ordered a cheese steak, went home to eat it and realized the roll was stale! I knew when I unwrapped it and saw the meat falling through the bottom of the roll and the roll was hard. I'll never go to Spot Burger again!

Ahmad A.

Yelp
Good burgers, consistent, never had a mistake in what was delivered, and always arrives very quickly.

Che D.

Yelp
Decide to come to Spot Burger for lunch today as a first timer. The restaurant is clean and the guy at the register was friendly. However, the food was just ok. Not horrible, not amazing either. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich. It was a chicken patty with blue cheese and Buffalo sauce. It was good although I thought it would've been a fried chicken breast considering this was a "gourmet burger" spot. So the chicken patty was a fail BUT it was flavorful. The fries were typical French fries. Nothing to write home about. I will comeback and try another option but I won't be ordering the fried chicken sandwich again.

Jerry H.

Yelp
Have ordered Mini Sirloin burgers a few(3) times at least as I recall She Amy's otherwise. That should say it all.

YacQuina R.

Yelp
We had the Rodeo and regular cheeseburgers and fries. The burgers were juicy and well-seasoned. The fries were equally delicious.

Alise R.

Yelp
Anytime anyone asks me for a cheese steak recommendation I tell them Spot Burgers. You wouldn't think a place that specializes in burgers would have the best cheese steak in the city, but trust me on this. This cheese steak is legit. I have also had my share of burgers here since I live right by the spot haha. Each one I have tried is delicious. But the cheese steak steals the show every time.

Nyja F.

Yelp
These burgers really do hit the SPOT! I always order the (ground) chicken burger and lately my new fave burger here has been the Big Mick (SPOT's version of the Big Mac - double patties with a special sauce) - it is delish! What makes these burgers great is that you really can have your burger your way and SPOT has ample fixings so that you can. Also, the burgers are reasonably priced and not greasy... If you build your own burger, you MUST try the horseradish mayo. Regarding dining, this place is small but there are about 6 small tables inside (2 which are high top). P.S. The fries are good too!

Gloria E.

Yelp
Ordered fish and chips, cheesesteak fries, and a chicken sandwich from SPOT for dinner. All in all, unimpressive. For $15, a tray of fish and chips with no flavor and no sauces on the side. A $9 unflavorful "cowboy" bbq jalapeño chicken sandwich, about the size and quality of a fast food one. Almost no taste expect for the cabbage in it. And the cheesesteak fries were not quite loaded, not quite as big as expected, and just alright, with no onions or peppers or anything just whiz and some meat. Perhaps the burgers are really the way to go here, not that I'd know.

John P.

Yelp
The food has been the same level of amazing since I moved to the states 12 years ago. Everyone who works there is polite, knows what they are doing, and are super friendly; you can tell they care. I know it has the word burgers in the name but try the Ribeye cheesesteak I swear they're the best I've ever had.

Brandyn B.

Yelp
i order a burger from here for my girlfriend and she immediately got food poisoning. wont be ordering from here ever again

Daniel M.

Yelp
good food. poor service. 2nd time this month I was put on hold for 15 mins at roughly 8:15, hung up, and then called back to no answer. little to no respect for customers. they do not take orders past 8pm from what I can tell. curious if owner is aware. sincerely, confused customer

Rachel C.

Yelp
Good burgers and not impossible to find free street parking just got to be willing to work for it

Araba N.

Yelp
More like 4.5 stars, with half a star off for the additional fee for paying with a credit card. The food here is excellent. The Roqufort burger is a perfect concoction of bleu cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. The fries always taste fresh, with the perfect amount of crispiness and salt. The size of the restaurant is a little small. Plus it's pretty dark in there, so I probably wouldn't eat in. For takeout, it's 100% great, quality burgers at reasonable prices.

Michelle C.

Yelp
My husband has been raving about the cheesesteaks from SPOT for ages, so we decided to give them a try for delivery one weekend recently when we were craving Philly comfort food. We each ordered cheesesteaks and also got an order of regular fries and an order of cheese fries. I normally wouldn't order cheese fries for delivery but went for it anyway and it turned out to be a great decision. The fries weren't fresh out of the fryer crisp, of course, but they still held up pretty well and SPOT's cheese sauce was bomb! The cheesesteaks were solid but I prefer more of a chopped steak while SPOT's is somewhere in-between. My cheesesteak was also a little light on the cheese and fried onions. Nonetheless, I'd be down for trying more from SPOT's menu. Maybe one of their famous burgers next time! Last but not least, SPOT is one of many local restaurants that are giving back to the community by helping families with children and people who have lost jobs. Give them a shot when you're craving some comfort food!

Derrick G.

Yelp
Best cheesesteak I've ever had in my life and I don't even like sirloin steaks but this changed my mind 100%, no gristle just absolute perfection..take my word for it you won't be disappointed

Kerry D.

Yelp
I can't believe it took we so long to try but SPOT is amazing! I ordered on caviar and it was super quick. Definitely a go to delivery place for me now as they are doing so much for the community in this crazy time. I went with the build your own burger: bacon, lettuce, roasted red pepper, cheddar cheese, and spot sauce. Delicious! I can't wait to order from here again and visit when we're able.

Beth D.

Yelp
Great food, but better owner. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Josh has been feeding children under 13 and hospitality folks who lost their jobs for free. We created our own burgers as we couldn't decide between the creative burgers on the menu. The burgers were very juicy and flavorful. Split an order of fries but probably should have gotten our own order. The fries were still crispy when we returned home and set the table to eat. The ordering and pick up process were both easy and safe. We will order again soon!

Nate F.

Yelp
A splendid neighborhood burger spot in the lively Brewerytown neighborhood that offers an array of delightful burgers among other sandwiches. I very much enjoyed my Butcher Burger and Cheese Fries. They cook your meat just how you tell them to and don't skimp oh fresh ingredients and sauces. The staff are very down to earth so I decided to sit in and eat. It's a very cozy spot that feels like home. I enjoyed the smooth old school hip hop they were playing on the speakers. Will be back to try more options.
