The 17 Best Pizzas In London - London - The Infatuation

"18-inch pizzas, crimson-red marinara, and a good time are what you’ll find at this laid-back Southwark pizza spot. On the tables out front, groups catch up over pints while splitting a behemoth-sized margherita. Inside, staff pull crispy-based pies out of the oven, distributing spoonfuls of burrata, and drizzling hot honey. It’s the thick, bright marinara that makes these pizzas so good. If 18 inches sounds intimidating, know that you can order by the half or quarter pizza. But who ever said no to pizza leftovers?" - rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna

Spring Street Pizza - Review - Southwark - London - The Infatuation

"18-inch pizzas, crimson-red marinara, and a good time are what you’ll find at this laid-back Southwark pizza spot. The tables out front might have you thinking you’ve stumbled on a quaint little pub garden, with groups catching up over pints before splitting a behemoth-sized margherita. Inside, staff dart around, pulling crispy-based pies out of the oven, distributing spoonfuls of burrata, and drizzling hot honey. But it’s the thick, bright marinara sauce that makes these pizzas so good. The classic marinara pie is the best example of this—the San Marzano tomato sauce is so deeply infused with garlic that it’s apparent in every single bite. And the confit garlic pieces on top make it truly a garlic-lover’s dream. If 18 inches sounds intimidating, know that you can order by the half or quarter pizza. But who ever said no to pizza leftovers? photo credit: @indiawm Food Rundown Classic Marinara This genuinely has enough garlic in it to fend off an entire village of vampires, and we’re here for it. The one we got was a little too charred on the bottom, but overall it’s a great tomato-heavy pizza. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak Margherita Our favourite of the two, the sauce on this pizza is creamier thanks to the fior di latte mozzarella. They’re generous with the basil, which we very much appreciate. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak Soft Serve If you have any space, we recommend trying this silky vanilla soft serve with extra virgin olive oil. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak" - Rianne Shlebak

The atmosphere at Sprig Street Pizza was amazing – lively, welcoming, and full of great energy. The New York-style Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious: tasty, crispy, and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff and quick turnaround. What really stood out was watching the chefs in action – their pizza-making style was extraordinary and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here for an impromptu lunch and the pizzas were nothing short of epic. They are really quite unusual and absolutely massive. I can’t actually remember the name of the pizza I had but it was amazing. You can half the pizza for one recipe and half the pizza for another. Will definitely be coming back here again. Just make sure you don’t eat anything before you go there.

if you’re looking not just for a good pizza, but for a guaranteed satisfactory experience - this place is for you. the mastery these guys put into the making of their pizza - starting with their absolutely immaculate crust, cooked to perfection - finishing with the singularity of every ingredient on your pizza, these guys know exactly what they’re doing. the sizes and flavors will leave you so happy that you will also feel the urge to write about how awesome this restaurant is, just like i did. the staff was also very very kind and helpful. special shout out to Alessia, who made our visit truly special, along with the rest of the team. definitely coming back for more in the future!

For NY style pizza, look no further. This has the magic formula, getting very close to Johns of Bleecker Street NYC (rated #1 in NYC). This is the best NY style pizza in London. Forget the attempts of Alley Cats, Breadstall, Dough Hands, Homeslice, Bad Boy Pizza Society or Crisp W6. Each of them trying with a different twist, but none of them beat Spring Street Pizza! To be clear, this is not trying to be Neapolitan. If you want that then head to 50 Kalò, or near-miss L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele. Lesser options being Rudy's or Pizza Pilgrims. For the niche styles of Japes (with their 'London style' that is a gastro Pizza Hut deep pan) and Detroit Pizza London, those aren't comparable either. We found this by accident during their soft open just after Saturday midday, walking past to eat somewhere else. We were totally blown away by the quality. We ended up talking a lot with the Chef (Tom Kemble) and his team, because we were the first customers after friends/family. They're all super chill here, they are laser focused and they have big ideas for the future. I don't post reviews ever btw, how good this was compelled me to.

As an American who’s had plenty of NY style pizza, I know what good pizza looks like and unfortunately Spring Street did not hit the mark. I was very excited to try this place but was very disappointed. The pizza was way too crispy, it lacked cheese, felt a bit greasy and salty. We had 1/2 New Yorker and 1/2 nduja and both were mediocre. This hurts when you are paying £32 for a pie! This is the most expensive pizza I’ve had in London and one of the worst “specialty” ones that I’ve had. Also, the service was incredibly slow!

Absolutely incredible experience at Spring St! The pizzas are delicious, as well as the homemade dips for your crusts. The vanilla bean soft serve is also a BIG addition to the restaurant - we tried it with pistachio and cherry. Unreal! The best new spot in town you won’t want to miss out on.

Came here because of the Michelin star chef, and would like to see whether it is really good. It definitely doesn’t disappoint. The pizza is huge, crunchy and very tasty, especially the New Yorker half. We loved it! The New Yorker pizza is the best! In comparison Njuda & Straciatella is alright. Also tried the garlic aioli dip for the crust which is also quite nice. Will definitely come back for more. But the service could be better. It was a bit slow, and no water is served.

I just had the best pizza I've ever tasted in London! I'm so grateful to have discovered this place in Yonder. Everything was absolutely perfect. As a huge fan of crusty pizza, I know it's not easy to find the right balance, but this crust was ideal—thin, crispy, and chewy all at once. The service was quick, and the menu had good options. I will come back again!
