"The Day Trip: Bodega Bay Bodega Bay is famous as the backdrop for Hitchcock’s The Birds, but you should also know that no trip here is complete without a stop at Spud Point. The old-school seafood shack off Highway 1 is churning out clam chowder that sets a high bar for all future chowders. Velvety rich and loaded with what we can only assume are buckets of garlic, this is a dimension-altering soup. Don’t stop there though—grab some of the also-excellent crab rolls and either spread out at one of the picnic tables out front or scoot down to nearby Doran Beach for an unbeatable picnic on the sand." - lani conway, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

Famous for a reason — delicious, but expect a wait I found this place through Google and ChatGPT recommendations for the best crab sandwiches and clam chowder — and it lived up to the hype! There’s no need for a reservation, but there’s always a line. During our visit, the line never got shorter — it’s a very popular spot. Service is counter-style: you order at the window, get your food, and then try to find a place to eat nearby. There are a few tables and some standing spots, but seating is very limited, especially if you’re with kids. We ended up eating at a standing table, which wasn’t very comfortable. A good option is to take your food to the nearby waterfront — there are benches and a nice walking area — or grab it to-go if you’re local. Now the food — absolutely delicious! We tried both the red and traditional clam chowder — each one had its own unique flavor and was totally worth it. Prices are a bit higher than average, but it’s understandable given the location’s popularity and reputation. In short: Fantastic chowder and crab sandwiches, iconic local spot, but come prepared for crowds and limited seating. Still 100% worth the visit!

Google
The best clam chowder in town! I like both the New England-style and the Manhattan-style clam chowder they offer here. Both are very yummy. The New England clam chowder tastes better than most other restaurants. The Manhattan clam chowder is tomato-based. It is very delicious, and I feel that it is healthy. Lol! There is a long line on most weekends and holidays, but the line is usually shorter before 11:00 a.m. On the weekends, they have crab cakes after 1:00 p.m. Parking is no problem. There is a parking lot a few hundred feet from the restaurant or another bigger parking lot across the street with a short walk.

Google
No frills, all flavor. A little hole in the wall spot with a limited menu and even more limited seating. And it's great! We had both styles of clam chowder. Each a delicious take on the classic New England and Manhattan styles. Richly flavored and textured well. Thick and packed with ingredients. The crab roll was scrumptious! The meat was juicy and sweet. The roll a perfect companion. The crab and shrimp cocktail was great with the cocktail sauce. Prices were a bit high, but the quality was also high. You get what you pay for here. 100% would go back.

Google
It's such an awesome place! I've been here many times when I visited Bodega Bay and never disappointed. I always order the regular New England Clam chowder. They run out of their bread fast if you don't make it early.

Google
We drove up to Bodega Bay just for the clam chowder from Spud. It was creamy and delicious. I would recommend buying it to go and take it to the Bodega Bay Trail head. There are picnic tables there and the views are awesome

Amy

Google
This is a popular place so expect to wait in line. The food is always good, prices are a little high. Not a lot of places to sit and eat so we typically get ours to go. It’s a great location right across the street from the water. You can’t beat being in Bodega Bay having fresh crab and clam chowder. It’s a must try if you’re in the area.

Google
Love to stop here to get some clam chowders and the drive to the coast to enjoy the view while enjoying the chowder. The crab sandwiches have a really simple season, and maybe small for the price but the crab is super fresh, like after a bite you would understand there is no need for fancy sauce, fresh seafood is just the best. PRO TIP, get the white and red chowder and then mix it together. The creaminess of the white and the acidity of the red make a perfect chowder

Nicolas Ramirez

Google
Amazing clam chowder, nice and garlicky! The crab roll was very good too. The roll was soft and buttery with a good amount of sweet crab. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and get yourself a treat. You can go down the road and enjoy your food watching the ocean.

Yelp
Our first visit. Outside seating only and street parking. Located across from the marina and on the road to Bodega Head. It was very windy so we got Clam Chowder, Crab Cocktail and a loaf of fresh sourdough bread to go. The clam chowder was good but not our favorite of the four places we tried it. The crab cocktail was very tasty as well as the sourdough bread. We will be back on our next trip.

Yelp
We came at the end of the day on a Sunday, so there was no issue with finding street parking close by & walking over, no line, & plenty of open seating that was clean. Crab cakes were sold out by then, but we were able to order a Crab Sandwich & New England Clam Chowder. The staff we interacted with were very friendly & pleasant! Little one was even given a free package of Goldfish crackers--so nice! The sandwich is smallish & simple, but it is loaded with fresh crab. Chowder is one of those preference things, but I absolutely loved their version!!! It was thinner, had lots of clam & perfectly cooked potatoes, & was a little herbaceous. It came with 2 packages of oyster crackers. (For comparison, the mister prefers a creamier, thicker version of chowder that we grew up with from Monterey.) It's a limited menu, so some kiddos might be hard pressed to find something they would like. It's also limited seating, so I'm glad we didn't come at a time when more people were there. Overall, we had a nice, tasty time!

Angelica V.

Yelp
The New England (white) clam chowder is delicious! I've been to Spud Point in the past as well and tried the red clam chowder but I didn't like it. Just a personal preference though. It was my first time having red clam chowder so maybe I just don't like it overall so I'll stick with white. Crab cakes were good, they served cold which I believe that's just how they're served. Took me by surprise as I thought they'd be warm but I get it. Like I said they were good, nothing great. Likely will not order them again but glad I tried them! There was a long line, which is a consistent thing when I come to Spud Point. It moved fairly quickly and the cashier was nice. Only outdoor seating (and there's not very many tables either). Overall I'd come back for the white clam chowder! I also haven't tried all clam chowders in the area though, so once I do, that may change.

Yelp
It has been a few years and I'm still not moving my review. The clam chowder is still highly enjoyable for me. My wife thinks it's not as thick as it used to be, but regardless it is still the best in the area (in my opinion). The service is friendly as always. They hand out goldfish crackers to the kids and typically have a friendly demeanor even when the line is going down the street (and it does). They are pretty much maxed out on seating, so be prepared to walk back to your car to eat. It's not the end of the world, but it can be a pain if you had to park some distance away. The main reason for my average review is the rest of the menu. It really isn't that spectacular. The shrimp sandwich is still bland. The tuna sandwich is ok, but has too many pepperoncini (they should probably just put them on the side). The chili on the menu is just canned Stagg chili which I saw them dumping from a jumbo can into the next heating receptacle. If you're going to use canned chili at least bring back the chili dog. It tastes very canned. I loved this place for more than a decade, and I'll continue to come back for the clam chowder, but honestly I'll probably have to look for food someplace else.

Renee F.

Yelp
This place definitely has a following because you can't drive by without seeing a line. I know, we tried several times but didn't want to wait. Finally we decided to stop and try them out. It's really a small outdoor seating area and a window to order and pick-up at. I noticed a lot of people getting to go orders. The biggest seller here is their Award winning Clam Chowder. But their Crab sandwich is so fresh and the plump, juicy crab is so sweet. And fresh French bread to go with the chowder. The chowder was served piping hot. It was creamy, but not too thick and there was a good balance of potatoes and lots of clams.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Can't believe it's my first time here! The crab sandwiches are amazing, fresh, and a hefty portion of crab. We also had their classic clam chowder and it was creamy and delicious. Would definitely stop here again!

Daniel L.

Yelp
Spud point crab company is a very delicious seafood spot out in bodega Bay. I got the crab sandwich which is amazing and full of crab and the bread was nice and crispy and soft. From the pictures it looked big, but it was actually smaller than I expected, but it is still good. I wish there was a side of lemon so I can squeeze it on top of the crab. the lines are always long and the rest seats there. Pro tip would be to grab some food and walk down by the water and grab a table to chill there. I also got the clam chowder which I enjoyed and it was very good. It had lots of clams however I wish it was a little bit thicker. I enjoyed the clam chowder here more than I did at fisherman Cove. I also got a loaf of sourdough bread, which I thought was fresh but it kind of felt like it was old bread, which was fine. It was still very good to dip in clam chowder. Recommend the spot and will be back.

Yelp
Very rude man that cussed at my teenage son for walking around a garbage can . When I apologized, he proceeded to say he should beat my son's ass ... Said he had worked there for 13 years but looked homeless so idk if that was true. The food was pretty decent but the experience was utterly ruined by this very dirty, very rude , very AGGRESSIVE employee. Was there with a party of 9 and we will spend our money and time elsewhere next visit.

Reggie B.

Yelp
Folks, there's a reason the clam chowder here has won top honors for more than 10 years! It's served in a simple white carton with a top and a pack of oyster crackers. If you are accustomed to your chowder served in china, and linen napkins to dab your mouth between spoons; this is not your place. For me, the simplicity of Spud Point was perfect after a couple hours at the shore whale watching. There was no line and we were served our two bowls of chowder and we added a loaf of sour dough bread which we dipped liberally in chowder. That first dip and how it clung to the bread told me, "THIS is real deal!" For seating, there are wooden benches and tables outside just off the street and immediately accessible after placing and picking up your order. Since I love boats, seating in this area was cool because it provided a nice view into the marina which was across the street. I am definitely a fan of Spud Point and I cannot wait until my next visit where I will certainly have chowder and a crab sandwich.

Robin H.

Yelp
Spuds has the best chowder! We love Theresa, always so welcoming and serving up the best food ever.

Carrie L.

Yelp
Loved their crab sandwich - super fresh and tasty! It is definitely on the smaller side, but makes sense as it's fresh crab inside!

Jillian P.

Yelp
It devastates me to say that Spud Points crab sandwiches are not what they once were. The weekend crowds are still queuing up in a line stretching down the main road. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting in line to order, the end result had me wishing I had skipped the crab sandwich and just gone for the clam chowder. The crab sandwich had multiple shell fragments inside and was served on a dried-out roll. After having a melt-in-your-mouth sandwich experience on my previous visits, I was doubly disappointed at having to cautiously chew through my sandwich to avoid cracking teeth on pieces of shell. The crab itself is still fresh, but the experience has diminished my desire to return in the future.

Anh-Dao T.

Yelp
Still dreaming about that perfectly creamy, fresh tasting clam chowder. They offer both New England and Manhattan styles but New England is always my preferred. I loved the simple setup of picnic tables and ordering from the little "shack". If you're a carb lover like us and order their bread, it's a full on loaf of local French bread. A total score but also, it's been days and we're STILL trying to finish it, haha. The crab sandwich was also delicious altho I would have loved a dash of lemon or sauce. But the crab meat was by far one of the freshest I've had and it was cool to watch them unload fresh crabs while we ate. That chowder really is the star of the show though. Highly recommend if you're in Bodega Bay!

Andreas G.

Yelp
Great little spot on the way to the bodega head trail. I like that they have a limited selection of items so you can't go wrong. We tried the clam chowder and the crab sandwich. Really liked the clam chowder, perfect combination of all things that make a good clam chowder. The crab sandwich had a lot of fresh crab which tasted great. Would be perfect if they toast the bread just before they give you the sandwich. They have some outdoor seating and there can be a bit of a line. We were lucky. Maybe try to avoid peak lunch hour.

Norma P.

Yelp
No indoor seating. Friendly folks.09/26/23 Tuesday 2:45pm. This place was recommended by someone we met on the shuttle from SFO to our hotel. Perfect clam chowder!. Hot garlicky, creamy goodness. Clam and potato ratio perfect! Clams not chewy and cream broth not too heavy. Beat the chowder we had at pier 39 last night! Thank you Spud point. We also had a nice cold seafood sandwich. The bay shrimp was sweet and fresh. Oh man and the kicker...the prices are so reasonable. $9.95 for 16 oz chowder. Seafood sandwich $15.95z $1.25 for 16 oz. water bottle.

Yelp
This is rated the best clam chowder in the bay. After traveling and living on the east coast Boston, Cape Cod, I think I've had better clam chowder than spud point. Not sure if the quality has gone down since the best rating, the bowl of clam chowder was $15 and very salty compared to bourdins or Boston clam chowders that I've had. Hack I can ever make my own clam chowder that'd taste better. But in the spirit of the holidays, I decided to visit bodega bay to support a local business and tried it for the first time. It was interesting, had clam chowder taste but it's not the best rated clam chowder that I've had. Besides the clam chowder, I order the crab sandwich bc bodega bay is known for crabs. The sandwich was okay to me. It had some shells in there but I totally get it's hard to de shell. The sandwich size was very small as well for like $20. I recommend trying out different food items to support the biz. Now I know what bodega bay seafood is like, I can mark it off my bucket list.

Jessica Y.

Yelp
service: There's not much service here because the place is essentially order at the counter and sit anywhere on the benches to eat. You wait for your order after you paid & it comes out very fast. The woman did wipe down the table for us when we asked her to because it was still wet from the rain. food: 6/10. White Clam Chowder: 6/10. I thought the clam chowder was too liquidy, and it was quite oily. But the taste was good! Crab sandwich: 8/10. very good crab sandwich but it was a bit small for the price! Shrimp sandwich: 2/10. I did not like this shrimp sandwich at all for some reason. I think the taste and texture just did not sit well with me. ambiance: Very quick to order and either do to-go or sit anywhere to eat on the benches! The benches are fine if there is no rain. Parking can be found at a lot, just 0.1 miles north of the restaurant.

Yelp
I stopped in with my wife yesterday, 5/31/24. We got into a very short line (lucky us!!). Three in front of us. Around noon too, on a Friday. Wow. Anyway, Clam chowder (both varieties, Manhattan and New England) with the crab sandwich, crab cocktail and a loaf of bread and a coke and water. Cookies too, although my wife gave them to our son for watching the place whilst we were away. AWESOME MEAL!!! 75 BUCKS and well worth the meal. Nice, quaint ambiance by the road. Lol. Well worth it as far as I am concerned!!!!

Benjamin T.

Yelp
Spud point crab company located near the bodega head on the left hand side of the bay, is a great clam chowder and crab roll mini shack. Most locals stop by for their clam chowder plug and it usually has a line that goes pretty fast. Would definitely recommend only the new England clam chowder as the "red" or manhattan one kinda is like tomato clam soup. The crab roll may look small but is packed with fresh crab meat Would recommend grabbing this and heading over to bodega head to watch the waves!

Maisie W.

Yelp
4.5/5 Got the clam chowder here since it says it was voted best. And it was pretty good! Fisherman's cove is right next door too. Since I didn't get claim chowder from there, I can't compare. Will have to try their crab sandwich next time.

Jay W.

Yelp
This is my favorite food near Bodega Bay- and I go every time I head to Sonoma Coast State Park! I enjoy the sandwich, but I'm really there for clam chowder and loaf of sourdough bread

Nelma P.

Yelp
A scenic drive through Bodega Bay & just in time for lunch. Our 1st time here, found Spud Point Crab Company on Yelp. Great reviews drew has to this place. Fellow Yelpers were right. We tried the most ordered items: Crab Sandwich & New England Clam Chowder. The sandwich was full of delicious crab meat. The New England Clam Chowder was super yummy with lots of seafood & crab meat chunks. Highly recommend both dishes. Anyone visiting Bodega Bay must try this place.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Quick & easy spot to grab a bite. There was no line when we stopped by at 11:30AM on a Sunday. We got our food immediately after paying. I think they're used to tourists stopping here so they have a bunch of signs answering the most common questions. We ordered the clam chowder and the crab sandwich. The crab sandwich was much smaller than I was expecting for the cost ($18). The crab was so fresh though - which explains this place's high ratings! The clam chowder was fine. Lots of outdoor seating, and plenty available when we came at lunch on Sunday!

Jenny S.

Yelp
First time in Bodega bay after living in the Bay Area for 20 years!! And the decision of choosing a place to get clam chowder was hard. However, after reading other reviews we decided to try spud point and lemme tell yall it did not disappoint. You order in front and food was ready about a minute after you order. Red clam chowder was delicious! Tomato, clams and garlic were the main flavors of this soup. If you like all three of those this is the soup for you. White clam chowder, yum yum yum!!! They did have a sign that their chowder was dangerously addicting. Bacon, potato, clams, clams and more clams. This white chowder was by far the best white chowder I've had. Dipped with their Sonoma "extra sour" sour dough bread. (Though I do think Boudin's sourdough is way more sour) Crab sandwich, was a bit smaller than I expected but man they fill that thing with crab!! Overall I would highly recommend to try this place if you're around. There are only a few picnic tables in front of the place, so be prepared to share a table or even taking your food to the wharf area to eat.

Alicia W.

Yelp
This little crab sandwich was the best crab we have ever had. Don't forget a bowl of the clam chowder!! We drove an hour and a half for that sandwich from where we are staying in was 10000% worth the drive. So good!!!!!!

Olivia C.

Yelp
Yum! delicious clam chowder. The New England clam chowder is garlicky and does not contain bacon it's so safe for my halal brothas n sistas but not for vampires. The crab sandwich is simple and loaded with lots of fresh crab. It's not served hot but comes on a nice toasted roll with a lil aioli type sauce. On weekends they serve crab cakes starting at 1pm but they sold out within the hour--there was a long line that took us like 40 mins to order but the food comes out quickly after ordering. There is some outdoor seating that is limited and no parking lot but a decent amount of street parking. I enjoyed it a lot and stopped on my way to Sea Ranch for the weekend then came back on the drive home!

Tim X.

Yelp
Nestled in the scenic Bodega Bay, Spud Point Crab Company offers a pleasant atmosphere that complements its coastal location. The ample seating and the bustling crowd indicate its popularity, creating an inviting vibe for seafood enthusiasts. During my visit, I opted for the crab sandwich and renowned clam chowder. The crab sandwich, while boasting good quality, left me wanting more given how small the sandwich was and considering its relatively steep price. A larger portion or an additional element like slaw or a special sauce could have elevated the overall experience. My friends also tried different sandwiches, all were also quite small. The chowder was undeniably good, but it didn't quite reach the level of greatness I anticipated. It was a little runny and didn't seem to beat anything in Fisherman's Warf. Again, given the substantial wait time and pricing, I just expected a bit more. In summary, Spud Point Crab Company is a decent choice if you find yourself in the Bodega Bay area. The overall experience is satisfactory, but the portion sizes and flavors may leave some customers expecting a bit more, especially given the prices and the long lines. While it's a suitable stopover, I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit it. If you're in the vicinity, it's worth trying, but don't set your expectations too high.

Alayna K.

Yelp
My favorite crab sandwiches! So much crab packed in each sandwich. Lines are long but go fast. Best clam chowder in the area, get the bread to dip!

Neeta D.

Yelp
Noticed a very long line when we got there, during our visit to Bodega bay. For the amount of wait, I definitely expected something better than what I received. The crab cakes seemed like the most expensive of all, so expected 2 big or more small sized crab cakes, but got disappointed with the quantity. Wanted to get another but that meant another 1.5 hour wait in the line, so nope. I got a seafood sandwich which had shrimp n crab. Since the service was slow I hoped for a nice hot sandwich, but got a refrigerated sandwich. Returned with mixed feelings about the place as the crab cakes indeed tasted good but the overall experience wasn't the best.

Erica L.

Yelp
This would be the perfect spot for lunch on a beautiful, sunny day. There are outdoor picnic tables with a nice view of the harbor. Unfortunately, I came on a rainy day, so I didn't get to enjoy the views. However, a nice hot bowl of soup was perfect for the cold. 4/5 New England Style White Clam Chowder: Hot, delicious and full of substance. It was nicely flavored, and not too salty. 3/5 Manhattan Style Red Clam Chowder: It wasn't bad, but I prefer white clam chowder more. It just tasted like tomato soup. If you're deciding between white and red, I would choose the white clam chowder, unless you really like tomato soup. 4/5 Crab Sandwich: Pretty good! The sandwich was a bit small, but there was a fair amount of crab inside. I recommend dipping this into your white clam chowder; it was even more delicious that way!

Roopinder T.

Yelp
Spud Point Crab Company, despite its name, is known for its chowder. The lines for their chowder went out and down the street. As we got in line, we were told they they had ran out of crab cakes. No one got out of line. The couple in front of us assured us the chowder was worth the wait and last time they were here, the line was quite a bit longer. They were from Sacramento. The Spud Point Crab Company is a state-wide phenomenon, apparently. Everyone from Marin and Sonoma counties raves about it. How was it? It was perfectly passable chowder, plenty of clam in it, but a little runny. Legal Seafood (Boston) is thicker, better IMO, but do they have the charm, the views? They certainly do not. It was a beautiful day. We enjoyed our experience immensely.

Dillon T.

Yelp
Spud Point Crab Company is a strong 4/5 stars. The clam chowder is a standout, offering a perfect balance of creaminess and brininess. The crab sandwich, although on the smaller side, impresses with its sweet and fresh crab meat on a deliciously soft bun. The service is efficient, and despite the lines (I'd recommend going earlier in the day if you can), the wait is worth it for their flavorful dishes. Outdoor seating is available, providing a nice and chill atmosphere in front of the bay. The price is a bit steep for the quantity, but for the quality of the clam chowder and crab sandwich, Spud Point Crab Company remains a top choice.

Michael L.

Yelp
Stopped by Spud Point Crab Company at around 10am. Big plus to this eatery is that they open early at 9am. The lady at the counter was extremely nice. Simple menu with a few types of sandwiches and cocktails that have either shrimp, crab, tuna. Clam Chowder is on the menu as well. After ordering and paying, my crab sandwich came out immediately. How was it? Not great. It's a small, bland sandwich for a total of $19.48. I wouldn't come back for food here. But big pluses for opening early and friendly staff.

Lynn H.

Yelp
Get here early and get the Clam Chowder! It is the best around. Parking is on the street or down the road in a lot. The crab sandwich is just ok, better at Ginochios! Fast service and outdoor seating that fills up fast.

Liv R.

Yelp
Great fresh crab sandwiches and delicious hot clam chowder! We came on a rainy Sunday around 11:30am and only had to wait for ~5 minutes. You order from a window counter and they give you your food basically right away. Seating: They have uncovered outdoor seating but given it was raining, there wasn't anyone sitting there. Parking: There's no official parking lot except for 1 handicap spot right in front. There's street parking and a tiny gravel lot nearby. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Melanie R.

Yelp
Awesomeness! It was wonderful on a cold rainy day. Thank you for the kind service...........

Dee N.

Yelp
Crab sando - smaller side but so good! Meat to bread ratio was pretty much 80 crab, 20 bread. Clam chowder - good Crab cocktail - no shells, no complaints Peanut butter cookies - impulse buy, not necessary

Idy C.

Yelp
Love the crab sandwiches and clam chowder from spud point crab company! We went on a Saturday and it's easy to find parking. Line was not that long, maybe for 10-15 minutes. Limited seating area but you can always find benches or picnic table around the bay. The crab meat was so fresh! I wish they are not that far from my house! They also sell fresh fish for the day if you are Interested to cook at home.

Carrie M.

Yelp
Very sad tasting sandwich. Lacked flavor. Was cold. I like fresh crab but needed some seasoning. Prefer it to be toasted as well. It was watery and ran out when biting. Was definitely not worth the price or drive from Napa. Chowder was ok but also needed a bit more seasoning but way better than the sandwich. .

Tiffie P.

Yelp
5 stars for their amazing clam chowder!!! It's the only thing we get here, along with a side of bread. A little pricey for the small portions, but how often are you in this area? And how often do you have the chance to eat amazing clam chowder? Take your meals to go and then drive 5-10 minutes to a nearby beach, find a picnic table, and enjoy the view. Or, snag a table quickly (there are few and they go quickly on weekends,) and enjoy the ambiance of this small venue. It's situated a short drive off of Hwy 1, just across from the marina where you will find parking. There are no clear crosswalks, so use caution when going across the street. The lines will be fairly long on weekends, but they're fairly efficient and we've never waited long.

Yelp
This was first on my list of places to try in Bodega Bay. It was delicious! The chowder was rich and had a nice unexpected garlic flavor. The bread on the crab sandwich was crunchy to complement the soft crab. Plus they did not skimp on the crab! You order your food and they prep it immediately and give it to you at the window, so there's really no wait. It can definitely get crowded so plan accordingly. There's a patio out front, but a few tables and benches across the street at the marina in case the tables are full.

Yelp
Spud Point Crab Co. is worth the wait. The line was long and we almost talked ourselves out of waiting, but I'm so glad we didn't. We ordered the New England Chowder and the crab sandwich. Both were everything and more than I expected. The crab sandwich was crab, just enough sauce to highlight the crab and hold it together on a crusty, but soft baguette. I could eat this sandwich every day. It is just simple perfection. The chowder was creamy, clammy, and delicious. The tables were full when we got our food so we ate on a barrel. This made the experience.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Crab sandwich was good. Fresh sourdough, subtle, flavorful sauce complimented the crab. Clam chowder was creamy, plenty of clams but lacked flavor. Sorry but this is definitely not New England clam chowder.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely worth going to if you're visiting Bodega Bay. The location makes it a perfect post-hike meal after visiting Bodega Head Trails. It's a really long wait time if you go during lunchtime and parking will be a bit tricky also so try not to go during peak hours. There's a lot of tables to sit at outside the shop. The clam chowder was really good, I could tell why everyone is raving about it. Lots of clam! The crab sandwich I thought was a bit overhyped. They do give you a lot of crab but there's nothing real special about the bun or the seasoning. Overall a really good pit stop with a nice view.

Yelp
Came to Bodega Bay for a day trip and had to try out this spot! Wow.. this place did not disappoint! The crab sandwich was so delicious with a perfectly seasoned crab filling with a nicely toasted bread. The clam chowder was so creamy and had so many pieces of clam inside. I highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is about, the clam chowder was okay. It was definitely not the best clam chowder I've had... we also got the gigantic bread and that was okay too. It was a bit hard.. there was a long line when we came (on a Sunday). I don't think it's worth the wait... limited seating as well.

Yelp
Deliciousness in a cup! The day was beautiful so that helped. It was quick and easy. I tried the clam chowder and the crab sandwich, both good. The best things in life are simple. I passed the establishment at about 1pm, and the line was pretty long. Glad u was there about 10 am and no line.

Yelp
Came here for lunch during a weekend getaway. Long line but they are efficient. White clam chowder was good. Good portion for the price. Crab sandwich was good, not too big but tasty.

Yelp
Felt like my money was jipped. Not because of the clam chowder (that's was addicting!), but the seafood cocktail. That tiny container was NOT worth $15. If you're going to order from this place, stick to the clam chowder.

Yelp
Cute little place with fabulous clam chowder. We hit this at 3:30 so no wait whatsoever. Service was fast and friendly. Clam chowder was thick with some decent sized clams, I really enjoyed it. Also had the seafood sandwich which included crab and shrimp ....it was fresh and tasty. Wishing they had crab cakes during the week but they are only available after 1:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Simple menu but fresh and delicious!
