"In a city with so many pizza options, it’s easy to overlook Spuntino, a BYOB pizzeria right near 95 that puts out consistently great Neapolitan pies every night. If you happen to be in the area, it’s worth stopping in for a casual Tuesday night date. But if you’re three hours deep into a Law And Order: SVU binge on Hulu and just can’t find the energy to remove yourself from the couch, they’ll also deliver a margherita with the perfect cheese-to-sauce ratio right to your door. You will still have to get off the couch to retrieve it, though." - Sydney McElwee

"Chef and co-owner Salvatore Carollo is a fourth-generation pizza maker. His restaurant, Spuntino, focuses on Neapolitan pies, a specific style of pizza that has earned UNESCO World Heritage status. Pizzas cook for 60 to 75 seconds at a minimum of 900 degrees in a wood-burning oven." - Sonia Chopra

Spuntino We have ordered delivery and pickup many times from spuntino in the past. This time we decided to go and dine there. We made a reservation and found a parking spot, and walked to the restaurant. We started inside, but it was subzero inside. Trust me when I tell you we like the cold (AC set to 66 in our home), but it was too cold even for us. Luckily there was a lovely table outside, and the sun had just wet, so it was a perfect night to dine alfresco. I started with the arrostito, and the wife had the burrata special. Both were excellent. We each got a pizza, and I must say it was surprisingly better at home. I don’t know. Maybe it was too hot, and the car ride helped it firm up a bit? I had to use a fork and knife as they would not standup to being held in my hand. Don’t worry. It was good but not as good as usual. Many times with delivery, it will be cool, and then I’ll heat it on my pizza stone ( which I prepare beforehand to be piping hot). We had the arrabbiata (mine) and the Formaggio. I ended il talking half of mine home and reheated it the next day, and it was great. Still a favorite in our house.

Delicious pizza in Northern Libs. Fresh ingredients made in front of you with local selection of beers and wines. Now one of my top 2 in the city!

Absolutely a gem in the heart of Liberty City. Woke up this morning with the establishment being featured on the local news. Grab my wife and decided to give them a try. Wood fired pizza has been my thing for the last few years. This place perfected the art of wood fired. Great atmosphere great host delicious pizza. Will definitely be back

Amazing Neapolitan pizza. We went there with a group of 9 for a Batchelor party. The owner Sal made us 6 pizzas of his choice. They were all amazing! There is an outstanding wine selection too! He also had a Basil gelato that was amazing as well! A must try!

First time at this place. I had the Salsiccia...sweet Italian sausage, mozzarella, and basil. Simple and delicious. I even ate the CRUST. Soft, chewy, and cooked just right. Awesome spot for great pizza, with fresh, simple ingredients.

Loved that it was a BYOB. Got a sausage and one of their specialty pizzas. They really are delicious (my fiancee thought it was one of the best pizzas she's ever had). For dessert, the cannolis were AMAZING (and that's coming from a guy who lived in the North End of Boston and got connolis from Mike's Pastry and Modern regularly). Definitely will go back. Now for a suggestion for the owners: your pizza dough is perfectly soft and tasty that I couldn't help but to think dessert pizzas would be great for you to try.

Great pizza at spuntino. Had three pies after trying one red and one white pie. Both my dining companion and I preferred the red sauce to the white pie. Service was also great and we’ll be back for more pies in the future.

Not many places have Neapolitan pizza, so definitely come here if you are craving for one. Also could be delivered. We got Margherita and valdostana, both delicious! Personal size is perfect.
