This tasting room of a local microbrewery offers on-site pints & tasters plus growlers to go.
"The folks at Standard make it known that they’re very against hype. That said, their brewery is worthy of it. This Central District staple’s been around for over a decade, and if the frequent lines outside are any indicator, it’s sure made an impact. Considered a hub for some of the city’s best Pale Ales, Porters, and funky oak-aged styles, Standard literally helped set the standard for Seattle beer, and they’ve got the Best of Craft and Washington Beer Awards medals to show for it. The taco-centric food menu is pretty excellent as well." - Brianna Gunter
"Standard is an excellent spot to get some friends together for beers, especially if it’s nice out and you can find a spot on the patio. Everything they brew is great, from IPAs to fruitier things. If you’re hungry, they also have a nice lineup of hot and cold sandwiches." - aimee rizzo, lidiya belete
"Nestled in the Central District, this craft beer hotspot expanded several years ago to take over the property next door just so it could open its own kitchen. While Standard’s brews explore a wide range of European and American beer styles, the food menu goes for unique twists on Southwestern-style cuisine. Here you’ll find tacos with hariyali chicken and mint yogurt chili, a semolina fried catfish sandwich with pickled habanero, and loaded quesadillas sealed with Oaxacan melting cheese. Founder and head brewer Justin Gerardy recommends the Fat Hen taco with True Neutral, a “Bohemian Pilsner that’s thirst-quenching enough to counter the heat from the taco” or the BLT with a West Coast IPA, “as the house-smoked bacon pushes back beautifully on the heavy hops.”" - Brianna Gunter
"Standard Brewing’s tasting room is located nearby Métier Brewing Company and contributes to the potential development of Seattle’s next brewery district in the Central District." - Holly Regan
"The Central District’s acclaimed brewery with IPAs, pale ales, baltic porters, and oak-barreled beer has an online store for preorders and curbside pickup, as well as some delivery options ($100 minimum). There’s also a fairly robust food menu, with smoked pulled pork, salami grinders, and DIY vegetable stock kits." - Eater Staff
