"Star Provisions offers insider access to a pantry stocked full of high quality products like their own house-cured charcuterie and aged meats, a selection of artisan American and European cheeses, and a variety of freshly baked breads, cakes, cookies, pies and pastries. They also have individual markets for seafood, locally roasted coffee, and other gourmet food items. Major bonus: they offer a daily, seasonal menu showcasing their culinary talents ranging from bahn mi and Korean BBQ to falafel and catfish. Hmmm...!" - Resource Branding
"For those looking to grab coffee and breakfast in the morning, a sandwich at lunch, or cheese and charcuterie paired with wine in the late afternoon, the multiple covered patios at Star Provisions offer a welcome respite for both owners and their dogs. A bright market surrounds indoor communal tables with foodie gifts as well as treats, rawhide bones, and accessories for the dog, too." - Su-Jit Lin
"The main selling point of Star Provisions for kids? One word: fluffernutter. The counter service market-cafe in Blandtown sells many sandwiches, but kids especially love the classic combination of peanut butter and marshmallow fluff stuffed between two slices of freshly baked white bread. The griddled sandwich is served warm and gooey (perfect for the kid who doesn’t mind a little mess). It’s hard to resist the pastry case stocked with cookies and brownies, too — don’t worry, they can burn off that sugar high on the Woodall Rail Trail, which runs right behind Star Provisions." - Lia Picard
"It’s common to find just as many leashed pets in the counter-service line at Star Provisions as regular cafe customers. Lots of Upper Westside people pop in from their neighborhood walks for breakfast, coffee, and really good sandwiches. The cafe is also a market, so there are knick-knacks for sale, fragile-looking dishes, and other things that scream, “Don’t let Fido loose.” But once you order (and maybe purchase your companion a toy stuffie for behaving themself), you can head outside to a shaded picnic table to eat your crispy chicken biscuit." - jacinta howard, nina reeder, juli horsford
"The Star Provisions restaurant group has an impressive roster, including Bacchanalia and W.H. Stiles Fish Camp, but this Upper Westside cafe is where your kids will least embarrass you. That’s because the counter-service operation gets orders out fast, and there are shaded picnic tables outside if your crew doesn't know the meaning of “inside voice.” Any menu item with bread is a good choice, including the fluffernutter. The thick spongy country bread is grilled and generously piled with smooth peanut butter and sweet marshmallow cream. It’s one of those dishes that adults are obliged to take a bite of and justify it as “parent tax.”" - demarco williams, nina reeder, jacinta howard
