Steelbach

We wanted to try a new steak house in Tampa. Steelbach has its own farm and cattle. I'm not sure if that makes the steak better, but it sure was good. We started with oysters. The oysters had really nice toppings and made them very flavorful. But the star of the show - the cornbread. Why did no one think of putting bacon on cornbread before? Wow. It was very, very good. We ordered a Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and was very juicy. All in all a fantastic meal. Highly recommend.

Cannot believe I haven't heard of this place until recently, food was absolutely delicious. We started with the buffalo cauliflower, which was the perfect ratio of sauce and not being too fried. Then for dinner got the pichana steak, fried chicken, and mac and cheese. Cannot go wrong with their steak options and the mac and cheese was amazing! Will definitely be back to try more of their options.

It was our first time having dinner here, and it was delicious. We’ve been before for brunch and loved everything. They have plenty of options and everything was presented beautifully. The service was very attentive, and so kind being that it was our first outing with our little one. The hostess gave us a great spot to accommodate the stroller and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We will be back for dinners and brunch!

Nicholas is a remarkable server and made our visit beyond exceptional. He was great with our toddler and made my birthday dinner special. Our meals were delicious from the beginning to the end. The bone marrow is definitely something you should try! We went specifically for the bone marrow because it was a pregnancy craving of mine and it did not disappoint! 10 out of 10!

Great food and experience dining in Tampa. Leah our server was absolutely amazing. The food truly tasted farm to table. So fresh. All the flavors blended well and the portions were hearty. We had enough left for a full lunch the next day. We loved every bite. We celebrated our 8th anniversary. Will definitely eat here again when we finally move to Tampa. Thank You to the chef and to Leah for the time and attention. We appreciate you making our evening.

What a great dining experience!! Don't think twice about coming here. This is my first time trying Steelbach and we came for mother's Day. All the mothers received a beautiful rose and the food and drinks were excellent as well.

Solid meal and great service from Nathan. The atmosphere is expansive yet very cosy. Great cocktail menu, enjoyed the old-fashioned I ordered. We then had the Bleu Caesar Salad which was generous and well dressed. We then shared a NY Strip steak as our entree. I will say the steak flavor was ok but a third of the steak was fat and grizzle. Pretty disappointing as I only order steak a few times a year. Overall a good experience. I would go back as the menu has a lot of great things to choose from.

Update (6/4/24): A team member did not get in contact with me about my experience as they indicated they would. My experience ranged from pleasant at the start to very frustrated by the end. My meal began well. I arrived early, and they were able to accommodate me 45 minutes before my reservation time, which I very much appreciate. The mezcal cocktail I started with was well balanced and very pleasant, as was the overall pace of the meal. I was dining alone but didn't feel rushed. That's really where the positives end. The Bleu Cesar I started with was heavily overdressed. While the dressing was tasty, there was so much of it that the greens were soggy. The bread crumbs were also a little too hard to be considered crunchy and were difficult to bite through. For my main, I ordered the NY Strip medium-rare and a side of the crispy potatoes. The potatoes were great, but the steak was served well done. My server checked on me before I had a chance to cut into the steak and never came back. I had to ask another server to send it back. 15 minutes later, I received a slightly-more-than-medium steak. At this point, the potatoes were cold, and I didn't feel like waiting another 15 minutes and wasting the meat, so I settled. The steak itself was fine. Not trimmed at all, with a massive chunk of fat along the side. For dessert, I wanted the ice cream and was told my options were white chocolate, raspberry, and dark chocolate. I asked for the dark chocolate and was told that they are typically served together and that the white chocolate and raspberry were actually one flavor. I said that together was fine. When I got it, it had no dark chocolate and was just white chocolate and raspberry. Once again, it was another server who helped me, and I learned that they were out of dark chocolate that day, and my server just didn't know. At this point, I was done and just got the check. Nothing was comped. The overall experience was deeply unpleasant, especially coming off of the wonderful experience I had at Ulele the day before. I don't know why people recommend Steelbach. There are a lot of other steakhouses, and I would recommend going to one of those.
