Suá Superette is a chic Larchmont market-cafe blending high-quality Sichuan-inspired grab-and-go meals with artisanal pantry items, making it a fun stop for casual dining.
"Suá Superette is a tiny market-cafe owned by the founder of chili crisp maker Fly By Jing, and a decent option if you’re strolling Larchmont and need food in your stomach quickly. There’s a grab-and-go area up front with packaged items like Sichuan glass noodles, chicken tenders with Chinese mustard dipping sauces, and pre-made protein plates they’ll heat up for you in the back. Everything is solid—we particularly like the rotisserie chicken wrap with chili crisp aioli and the hot-and-ready congee—but prices here aren’t for the faint of heart. The $20 beef wrap and $25 salmon hot plate exceed even Erewhon levels. Unless you’re truly pressed for time, Suá is best suited as a place to grab a jar of chili crisp and a quick lychee green tea rather than a full meal." - Brant Cox
"If telling people you have a high spice tolerance is part of your personality, you know about Fly By Jing. Now, the founder of this very popular chile oil brand has opened a marketplace in Larchmont Village. Food options are limited to grab-and-go stuff like Sichuan chicken salad and vegan mapo tofu, but if you get thirsty, there’s also a full café counter offering teas and coffee. " - Sylvio Martins
"Suá Superette is a great model for many more casual places, and I’m hoping that people continue to embrace alternative revenue streams and smaller spaces as a way to deliver the most interest for consumers while still meeting cost demands." - Eater Staff
" Projected Opening: Late September The people behind Fly By Jing (of Sichuan chili crisp fame) are opening an Asian market in Larchmont. It'll have everything you need for a well-stocked kitchen—think vinegars and sauces sourced largely from AAPI producers, cold sesame noodles, pre-packaged Sichuan shredded chicken salads, and vegan mapo tofu packs.
