Anytime it's cold or sick season I want soup and something comforting. Im not a big pho person but ever since I tried Sup I can't seem to stop coming back. Sup is probably the only spot I will eat and crave pho. They are located in a open plaza, so plenty of parking. The inside is pretty big and spacious but be prepared for a wait during busy lunch and dinner hours. They have other fusion dishes besides pho.
_Egg Rolls (3 rolls $9.75 / 1 roll $2.50) Ground pork, mushrooms, onions, carrots, glass noodles. Served with pickled carrots, vermicelli, lettuce and sweet n' sour fish sauce. This is a great appetizer to share with 1-2 people, depending how much you want for yourself. The egg rolls are perfectly cripsy, while still being juicy on the inside. I love that they serve the with lettuce wraps, rice noodles, and the finger licking fish sauce. I don't feel as guilty eating fried rolls when I wrap them in lettuce lol
_Pho Brisket Pho ($17.50) 4 hour braised brisket. This is always my go-to order for pho. They are very generous with the meat. The brisket is thinly sliced, fatty but also tender. I get the small which is more than enough and for an extra $3.50 you get unlimited noodles. If I can't finish it all, I will take the leftover broth and meat and get the extra noodles to go. The broth is rich but not to oily or greasy. They don't give much basil or bean sprouts, so ask for extra beforehand.
_Lomo Saltado ($24.50 filet mignon) Thick fries, tomatoes, charred sweet red onions, white wine soy, home-made aji verde aioli, served with steamed white rice. I had this the first time I came here and before I ever tried their pho. Although the overall flavors are good. I found the meat a bit tough and some dry. The fries were the best part, and probably the best fries I've had with a lomo saltado.
_Fried Rice ($24 chicken wings) choice of protein, scrambled eggs, home-made aji verde, and scallions. One of the best fried rice. They give a huge portion. The chicken wings were good, a bit sweet and salty. Definitely enough to take back home. I will say it was a bit on the oily side, so pair it with the aji verde to help cut the oil a bit.
The food is always consistent and service is friendly. They are on the pricey side, but you pay for quality and the portions are always generous.
