25 Iconic Dishes That Define Rome - Rome - The Infatuation

"Even if your morning pastry intake could qualify as a competitive sport, you’ll still need a snack later in the day. That's what a fried rice ball from Supplì Roma is for. This tiny but mighty takeout spot in Trastevere changes its flavors daily, but you’ll probably find Roman staples like coda alla vaccinara, cacio e pepe, or carbonara. Break one in half, and stretch the melty cheese like an accordion before absolutely housing it." - annie replogle

The 25 Best Restaurants In Rome 2024

"Even if you’ve eaten too many pastries for breakfast, you’ll need a snack before your late dinner. A deep-fried rice ball from Supplì Roma is the move. This busy, pint-sized takeout spot in Trastevere changes their flavors daily, but you’ll probably find Roman staples like coda alla vaccinara, a rich and tomatoey oxtail stew, cacio e pepe, or carbonara. Break one in half, and stretch the melty cheese like an accordion before absolutely housing it. They do other things besides supplì, too. The most worthy being a slice of pizza rossa, which is smothered in an anchovy-and-garlic-laden marinara sauce so shimmery you’ll want to ask for its skincare routine." - gillian mcguire, annie replogle

The 17 Best Pizza Spots In Rome 2024

"Despite the name, this busy, pint-sized takeout spot in Trastevere serves things besides supplì. The most worthy being a slice of pizza marinara, which is smothered in an anchovy-and-garlic-laden tomato sauce that’s so shimmery, you’ll want to ask for its skincare routine. If you’re in the mood for something without sauce, get their slice topped with zucchini flowers and anchovies on a bed of mozzarella. And if you’re still hungry afterwards, load up on supplì (especially the coda alla vaccinara, if they have it) and fried filets of baccalà. Take your haul around the corner to Piazza San Cosimato and dive in. " - annie replogle

Google
This little hole-in-the-wall shop may be tiny, but it’s constantly buzzing — even with tour groups dropping in! Great spot to try Rome’s version of Sicilian arancini 🍚🍅🧀🤎 I’m not usually big on fried food, but the rice balls with gooey mozzarella and bold flavours were a nice surprise. My favourite? The Amatriciana — tangy, satisfying, 9/10! The Carbonara was a bit too rich for me (6/10), but still worth trying.

Google
Really good food. Tourists and locals alike stop by throughout the day grabbing a quick bite to eat. The chicken strips were really good. The pizza and also the balls filled with rice, sauce and cheese

Google
My daughter raved about this place when she was in Rome for study abroad, so we had to stop in and give it a try. Luckily there was no line. We ordered a few of the vegetarian suppli and fried zucchini. The suppli's are huge. My husband and I could only eat one between us. The fried zucchini was amazing, reminded me of the fried zucchini my mom used to make. Overall great place and a great value. Lots of options for vegetarians.

Google
Tasty, quick bites and a solid pizza slice. Perfect for a casual stop while exploring. Supplì is always satisfying and affordable. It’s getting busy and touristy, but still worth it.

Google
I have yet to find a single supplì, pasta, pizza, or any other dish here that isn't absolutely delicious. I eat at this delightful little place every day for my work lunch. I'm almost reluctant to say more, as the lines are already long during busy times! Ok, nevermind, I just can't resist. They serve the best Roman pasta classics, like Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, and Amatriciana, perfect for enjoying while exploring Trastevere's narrow streets. Plus, on Tuesdays and Fridays, you'll find fresh fish dishes, supplì, and, of course, fried treats. And don't forget their tasty, crispy pizza – it's fantastic!

Google
The supplì was absolutely delicious – crispy on the outside, and rich and flavorful on the inside. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. It was a simple yet satisfying bite that hit all the right notes. Definitely a must-try spot if you’re in Rome and craving authentic street food.

Google
Have visited Rome a dozen times but since Finding this place in June 2024 I am forever changed. The Suppli are outstanding. The pizza, especially the pizza rosa, CHANGED MY LIFE. Raised Italian and have eaten Arancini all my life. Suppli is bomb. Also eaten Boston Mass, bakery pizza, pales in comparison to this place. As a note. Returned to Rome in December for a weekend just to come here and ate here twice.

Lior Shamir

Google
When you see the prices that are so unlike the rest of Rome, you’d think the quality is low. But not really, I had lunch here for 5 euros and it was on par with some restaurants I have been too. If you don’t mind putting aside the cordialities of a lunch table and trying to save on money, I’d really recommend this tasty lunch.

Yelp
If you go in and choose blindly, I'm sure you'll come out with something you will really like. I mean that's essentially what I did. I just pointed to things I saw that looked good, got things all wrapped up nicely to go, and ate really delicious suppli, pizza and pasta. On a Friday afternoon this line was 30 person deep and quite frankly not moving fast enough to quell hunger. When I finally got into the shop it seemed like pandemonium with each staff member taking orders, and running back and forth behind an L-Shaped counter. The customer footprint was really tight, and to be honest elbow to elbow, but not as vicious as the NYC Subway during rush hour. This was a pleasant crowd and the staff were working hard. The conversation seemed endless and the primary language spoken was Italian to which I was at a huge disadvantage. But I pulled out the trusted universal language of the pointed finger and I was able to get most of the items I wanted. All my items were wrapped quickly and I was on my way to search for a place to eat. Once to get your goodies, you are on your own to find a spot to eat. There was nothing nearby so I walked further until I found a bench near a bus stop. True to their name, the suppli here is fantastic! These crunchy oval shaped risotto filled snack, with a touch of tomato sauce, was the first thing I ate when I got off the plane and every time I needed a snack in Rome. I loved the ones with meat or without. Can someone tell me why we have suppli's like this back in NYC? The pizza needless to say was also delicious. I couldn't finish the rigatoni pasta for lunch but it was so good I toted it around and ate it after my dinner! Definitely visit!

Yelp
The most amazing food! This was my favorite spot in Rome. It's a small order at the counter place. For the pizza, you pay by weight instead of slice. Our favorite was the red sauce pizza, it just came out of the oven when we ordered it. Thin, flavorful, and delicious. We also tried the ceci de pepe and lemon supplis. AMAZING! I've never had these before and they are now my new favorite food. The lemon in particular was so good. This is a very local spot. The staff is friendly and efficient. We came on a Saturday evening and it was packed. There were a lot of food tours that stopped through. We also came on a weekday afternoon and lucked out with just a short line. After you order at the counter and pay there is a small standing area outside where you can eat. Most people stand around to enjoy their food and a beer. It's a great environment and a true experience. I will be recommending this place to anyone who visits Rome!

Yelp
Looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch, my mom and I made our way to Supplì. Coming shortly after they opened was a great idea because we definitely beat the lunch rush and had zero wait in line. Everything looked amazing, but we eventually settled on trying the cacio e pepe supplì and a slice of pizza with ricotta and prosciutto. We found a local park to sit in and enjoy our bites. The cacio e pepe supplì were crispy on the outside and packed full of cheesy, peppery goodness inside. And the pizza was the perfect meld of creamy ricotta and salty prosciutto. A little off the beaten path, do yourself a favor and come try Supplì.

Yelp
AMAZING, everything is delicious! Great service and staff. Small location, no line when I got there but I'm sure it gets busy. Worth it!

Rachel I.

Yelp
Suppli was great. Very quick and the food taste great! I recommend the caoi de Pepe lemon. Yummmmm.

Yelp
This place has become a tradition for us whenever we are in Rome. Why not? Super delicious crunchy fried things in a fun atmosphere. Get on line and try not to order everything on the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
So great, but CLOSED on Sundays!! I learned this the hard way when I was misled by Apple Maps because they said was open. After 20 min of walking, I was very disappointed. I came on a Saturday evening the night before (LOL) and it was so good that I wanted to come back the next day. A suppli is a fried ball of rice with melted cheese in the center. The cheese pull went on for days, and everything about this street food was perfect and amazing. Although out of the way, I'd definitely visit again if I ever come to Italy.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Partner thought this was the best suppli. Best flavor for sure and freshest melty mozzarella. The rice was a bit crispy/undercooked for me but he liked it. They make the suppli to order so that the cheese is amazing in that bite.
google avatar

Pearl S.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic Italian street food. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was cozy. I'm glad we stopped by to try their delicious supplì.

Yelp
Absolute banger from Rome the Arancini here is grade A Amazing. It's like Olive Garden but somehow even better

Kathy N.

Yelp
The best street food I found in Rome. Arancini balls and pizza were awesome! Will definitely go back next time in Rome!

Scott S.

Yelp
A really cool place to grad a quick bite to eat. Delicious suppli! It was close by where I lived in Rome for the summer so it was a frequent stop (A)
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
This place was probably the best food I have eaten in Rome especially for the price. The fried rice balls were amazing especially the pecorino cheese one. Both my kids and myself truly enjoyed them!!! The wait also was not nearly as long as I expected the line moved very quickly!!!

Michele P.

Yelp
The best suppli we had in Trastevere. Cacio e Pepe The pizza and pasta was amazing too.

Andrew P.

Yelp
Been here 10+ times at this point. They are great, the classico is perfect, and the Amatriciana and Carbonara supplis are just as good.
google avatar

Maylee W.

Yelp
Who doesn't love suppli? The best suppli is definitely at Suppli! I tried the cacio Pepe and the Classico and with a cold Peroni- great little bite of a Roman snack!
google avatar

Neel A.

Yelp
Crack. Crack. Crack. Never had or even heard of suppli before arriving in Rome. These little fried breaded nuggets of tomato, cheesy deliciousness are incredibly addictive. Crack Crack Crack. This place in trastevere is always busy (good sign). Lots of different suppli varieties - for example, cacio e pepe, one filled with pork, etc but nothing beats the original in my opinion. My stomach is going to turn into one giant suppli. But I'm ok with it.
google avatar

Doug A.

Yelp
Best suppli in Rome! The doors open at 10am, people loitering around the door waiting for the goods! Went there four days in a row...walked 2.5 miles Pizza is amazing also! Trust me you will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Nicolas L.

Yelp
Suppli is a hidden gem in Rome for delicious snacks specifically, as their name implies, the Suppli. This snack is phenomenal and addictive! A savory ball of al dente risotto is mixed with flavorful tomato sauce and gooey mozzarella and covered in perfectly crisp breading. If you are in Rome, please do yourself a favor and make a visit to Suppli.
google avatar

Angela N.

Yelp
Still taste the same 5 years later (: I use to LIVE off of these while study abroad here five years ago. I mean for 1,50€ with delicious mozzarella in the center you can't beat it! Employees are very nice and welcoming! They speak good enough English to help you and if you're lucky there will only be 1 or 2 people in front of you! Employees are very quite in getting people through the lines though and food is always fresh!

Lauren A.

Yelp
Great for a quick bite on the run! Employees were friendly, good value, and a really satisfying quick snack.

Ellice L.

Yelp
Our airbnb host said this was the BEST suppli in town and we thank her for that great introduction to this street food staple. Very inexpensive (2.5E) for a very large, hot, and fresh risotto ball filled with sauce, cheese, and crispy breading. After this we tried suppli at a restaurant and it paled in comparison. Don't be put off by the long lines. They move quickly and, once inside, there is a special counter just for Suppli and another for pizza and other items.
google avatar

Yelp
I have had Supplì bookmarked for awhile now and was very excited to give it a try. Be forewarned: it's out of the way. We like to walk everywhere -- and we stayed at a cute little airbnb outside of the Vatican, roughly a half a mile to a mile from the "main" attractions. Supplì is nowhere close to any of these. It is roughly a mile+ south of the Vatican and the Roman Forum, making the point of a triangle of the three locations. We debated if the food was worth the walk and it is not. But the food IS worth the price. They have sandwiches and fried rice balls with a variance of other foods to try. The sandwich was not superb, something cheap to get when hungry to pass you to the next meal. The rice balls, though, were delicious. The tomato was delicious and had oozy cheese in the middle. It was my favorite. My husband loved rice spin on carbonara. There is no seating but there are two tables to stand to consume. There is also little to chose to drink. Would we go back? Yes, if it were a few blocks away.
google avatar

Fiona S.

Yelp
Suppli, from what I've heard, is a small bite local to Rome. It is a fried ball of tomato, rice, and mozzarella. You won't believe how delish just the combination of these ingredients can be. The store is very small and basic: just your average deli-looking counter with hot foods, no seats. One suppli was about €3 but if you had to try it anywhere, it would be here. The suppli was so hot as if just freshly made that the cheese was melted perfectly. I love tomato sauce, so this was the perfect snack for me, especially on a cold night of walking around town. Definitely stop by if you're in the Trastevere area.

Jackson C.

Yelp
Amazing pizza. No nonsense sort of lunch counter frequented by locals looking for cheap eats. Had the tomato + basil and mushroom + cheese pizza. Basil tasted ridiculously fresh. Ate standing up on a shared outdoor table.
google avatar

Isabella B.

Yelp
This was the fifth stop on Eating Italy's "Twilight Trastevere" food tour. Supplì is a fried food native to the Lazio region. It is a small fried ball covered in breadcrumbs and filled with rice (mainly risotto) cooked in tomato sauce and stringy mozzarella cheese. When you split the supplì in half the mozzarella tends to cling together like string resembling telephone wires, hence its nickname supplì al telefono. Supplì is very similar to its Sicilian counterpart arancini. It's also a fried ball but it's slightly bigger like a mini orange (hence its name), more conical-shaped and the filling is a tomato/meat ragu with peas. Don't make the mistake of calling a supplì an arancini in front of a Roman. It's a bit of a faux paus because the rule in Italy is to always eat according to the region. The shop was rather small so the guide brought some supplì for us to consume outside. Best eaten when immediately served. One ball is very filling. Though I did like my supplì, I do like the filling of arancini more. We also had an opportunity to try Rome's version of a pizza. We each had a slice of marinara pizza with the sauce consisting of tomato, garlic, red pepper and parsley. Rome's pizzas are very simple as they are served in small squares with a thin, hard crust and bare amount of toppings. It's meant to be a small snack as opposed to a full meal. Slices had a bit of a spicy kick. With a suppli and a slice of marinara pizza being less than €2 each and being quite filling, it's very budget-friendly for Rome. I wouldn't mind stopping here again should I find myself back in Trastevere.

Yelp
Wish I heard of suppli earlier. Mom and pop shop-like feel, great selections of suppli with other Italian dishes. (Btw they post their recipe there, which I will not share!) ;)
google avatar

Melissa V.

Yelp
A great place for a midday snack on the go if you happen to be passing by. The shop is rather small so there's only really room to order and then stand at two tables pushed up against the wall. However, their food is served to you in seconds and piping hot. Some friendly locals were also there dining so it was nice to chat with them! My friend and I just shared a suppli (1.50 Euro) which is just a big fried rice ball stuffed with cheese which stretched for what seemed like miles. It would be really great for drunchies haha
google avatar

Babsie C.

Yelp
Woot woot!! Another great place from another great recommendation!!!! Man I am missing Rome and missing this place!! Must try the red margarita bead/ pizza!! after you order they warm it up and POW you bite into this delicious crispy saucy bread!!! Yum! the suppli is delcious as well i could eat a bunch of those but 1 is a really good size and the price is veryy affordable! Wish I tried everything they had!! Highly recommend!! Delicious and great service!!!

Yelp
Risotto ball? Suppli? Need I say more?! My husband, friends and I stumbled across Suppli while wondering on the other side of The busy Roman Center. It's pretty simple. They offer takeout of pizza, risotto balls and pasta. My husband and I got a mix of pizza and a ball to split between the two of us. The pizza was a white base with zucchini, onion, garlic and mushrooms. It was really tasty - soft and flavorful. The couple we were with got the white pizza but it's not the same americanized "white" pizza we're use to. It was essentially crust with garlic sauce on it. They were super sad. The risotto ball on the other hand is where the party is at. They were made fresh and stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese. It was so tasty, but very savory. Overall, Suppli is a great option for on the go. In addition there are two lines formed here. One for pizza, the other for pasta. Make sure you don't order both in the wrong line or they will look at your crazy. Enjoy!

Yelp
Went out of my way to hunt down this little place to try the Suppli. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't blown away, especially since I had better suppli from another location during my trip. Personally I think I came at a bad time looked like they werent refreshing the other food items available for purchase, did manage to get a fresh batch of cacio e pepe and traditional suppli. They were good and if I didnt take two buses and bad google maps directions to get here I'd have probably liked them more. If youre a tourist and dont speak Italian youre going to have a rough time ordering. Also if you are using google maps to find this place, its going to bring you to a pizzeria, which is wrong. Suppli is located next to a Coop on the opposite side of the street.
google avatar

Suzanne L.

Yelp
I love rice balls so I was super set on coming to I Suppli and tasting the Roman version. They were indeed yummy--I got the regular one with tomato sauce and cheese and a special cacio e pepe one. Both were tasty, but I couldn't really taste the pepper in the cacio e pepe suppli. However, the other reviews were right. I was wondering what could possibly be so amazing about marinara pizza (no cheese???), so I ordered a slice to find out. Mind. Blown. Dare I say it may be my favorite slice of pizza ever? The sauce was so flavorful; each bite was packed full of garlicky goodness. It was so good I tried to go back for more after dinner, but they were sadly sold out of marinara pizza. Super stoked to have discovered this gem. I Suppli is definitely one of the bigger incentives for me to go back to Rome in the future. Cash only!
google avatar

Nick D.

Yelp
This place would serve as the best late night snack, especially when intoxicated. Just get the best suppli which is filled with rice, mozzarella and tomato sauce. It's just so simple and good. That's what makes Italy so great. The food is simple and always delicious. Stop and and get a few for late night.
google avatar

Jacqueline W.

Yelp
BEST suppli. You must try when in Rome as it's very typical of Roman cuisine and such a delicious, cheap snack. It's a hole in the wall place that serves them fresh and warm. Crispy on the outside, and the cheese and tomato on the inside is flavorful and gooey. Must go-to when you're walking in Trastevere!
google avatar

Jenna W.

Yelp
A good value place! I Suppli is in a humble little storefront with sparse seating in a calm street in Travestere. I came here for the suppli, and got their classic one, which I believe was just called simply "suppli." Can't quite remember the price but it was cheap for a small snack. My first time having suppli, and while I wasn't the biggest fan, I don't think it had anything to do with how they made it--just my personal preference! The cheese inside was nice and stringy, and the suppli was hot and greasy. What I most enjoyed from here was actually their zucchini blossoms! I didn't know what they were before, so was surprised to see they were literal deep fried flowers of the zucchini plant. They tasted SO good--with the tenderness of zucchini, but even more scrumptious. Definitely a must try snack while you're in Rome.

Yelp
Hmmmm.... Stellar, rhapsodic reviews coupled with a personal affection for deep fried balls of rice with mozzarella and tomato, I venture to Rome's über-hot Trastevere neighborhood to chow down on the seemingly legendary Suppli at, well, Suppli. Eh....Tasty but not earth shattering... Small shop with two tiny tables, it's definitely more of a take out type of operation. You shimmy your way up to the counter and select from an array of deep fried balls containing a variety of savory goodness. I ordered the classic suppli - mostly because I speak nada Italiano so it was the easiest course of action without the ugly American guilt that comes with requiring native Romans to contour to my lack of multi-lingual prowess. I also ordered pasta with tomato and eggplant (I mean I AM walking a lot ....so get off my back!) - Pasta was decent and Suppli was not as flavorful as I was hoping. Slight hint of tomato and mozzarella was almost non-existent. Suppli costs by the piece and pasta is by the kilo so order to your liking. Prices are decent. I think I walked out with a sack of vittles for less than 10 Euro. Not bad. Not sure I'd haul my cookies to Trastevere again just to hit up Suppli, but if you're in the area, might be worth it to pop in for a quick Scooby Snack.
google avatar

Mary A.

Yelp
I stopped by here with my family during the Trastevere Food Tour where we visited 10 different places, and this was my favorite one! The suppeli was delicious, but by far the marina pizza stood out. It was SOOO good. We left Rome, but I can't stop thinking about the pizza! No cheese or meat needed to make the pizza superb. It was even a little spicy, oh man. I've already recommended this place to my friends who are visiting Rome, but I wish I was still in Rome to go back!
google avatar

Miko B.

Yelp
A local recommended that I try the supplì at I Supplì, so I decided to go for it. This street food is basically a deep-fried rice ball with tomato sauce and cheese. It's pretty good, but if ever you stumble upon this restaurant, order the marinara pizza instead. Now that was a standout.
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
I saw a bunch of people walking out from this place in Trastevere holding a brown ball food object and decided I was going to try it. Everyone that was walking out of the store seems to be genuinely enjoying their food. Took a leap of faith and decided to try it out. Wow! It was amazing. It's basically a street food where they deep fried the rice ball (risotto?) with stuffing in it. I ordered two, one with cheese and rice and the other one was rice and oxtail. I really enjoyed the oxtail and I liked it so much that I came back again the second night for more. Like most Italian stores in the smaller neighborhood, people were friendly and try to explain to you what it is. I disagree with a previous reviewer that claim the staff didn't try to understand him. Come on, you are in someone else country! They don't have to try to understand you. However, my experience here was friendly. One of the store employees tried his best to explain to me what was in the rice balls. It took a minute or so but I managed to figured out it was ox tail and rice.
google avatar

Ashleigh C.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for lunch because we wanted to try suppli. The suppli was delicious! My husband and I each had 1 suppli and 1 slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was good/average. The only negative is it is very crowded and chaotic. You got to order, pay, and get out. My husband and I ate our lunch on a bench, which I now believe might have been a bus stop bench, on the next street up. We liked the food and I would go again, but I would be more prepared for the crowd. Also, I would probably order another suppli because it is small. Fun and yummy experience!

Yelp
Excellent grab n' go snack or quick lunch in Trastevere with Roman-style pizza and fried risotto balls (supplì). This is a hole-in-the-wall packed with locals. It's standing room only inside and meant for grab n' go orders exclusively. There is a single chest-height table inside that you can stand and woof down your food if you so desire. They have several pizzas that are taken out of the oven, placed onto a warming tray, and cut into squares Roman style. But their specialty is the fried risotto balls called supplì. Though the menu on the wall lists some 20 versions, they only had about 4 varieties available at a time on both times we visited. I recommend getting the ones filled with minced meat. I don't know much Italian, so I just pointed to the darker supplì and discovered what was inside once I bit in. Because everything is so cheap, €1-2 per supplì and only €1,60 for a pizza square, you can try several things at once. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place is incredible. Walk in, order whatever suppli they have left, you will not regret it! Absolutely delicious, authentic and in the perfect location!

Yelp
This place is a bit out of the way, but super glad I trusted all the reviews and came here. Our first stop in Rome for lunch! It is super small and busy, but that's when you know it's amazing!! We ordered two types of pizza, a pesto rice ball, tomatoes with rice and potatoes and roasted potatoes. The pizza was the best I've had in my first week throughout Italy. I got the one covered in sauce and drizzled with oil and no cheese. It even had a spicy and garlic kick to it. Indescribably delicious!! My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the one with tomato, basil and mozzarella. They give you big slices cut in halves like most of Italy and we planned on sharing, but couldn't trade because of how much we loved our own- ha!! He also really loved the rice ball and I even tried a bite. Super good. The tomato, rice and potato dish was delicious and the roasted potatoes were nothing to brag about, but who cares after that amazing lunch!! Nowhere to really sit, so plan on taking to go!

Yelp
One is the best hidden gems in Rome. It was part of our food tour and no other place compares when it comes to the suppli. Prices are quite nice and they make you feel like a try Roman. It's quite small, so be prepared to take your food away or eat at the small bar stool tables. Loved this place! Thanks to Gabi and the tour Withlocals.com

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to try Suppli and we weren't disappointed here. It was fast, convenient and well priced for food on the go! The reason I knocked it down to four stars has nothing to do with the restaurant itself but just there is so much better food that fried rice balls in Trastevere, don't come here over the pasta!

Yelp
We have eaten here about 5 times in the last 3 days. IT IS SO GOOD and so affordable!! Friendly service and it is a popular spot, but enough that the line isn't wrapped around the corner. Perfect gem.

Yelp
GREAT cheap eats! I was introduced to this place during a food tour that I did (with Eating Italy) earlier on during my trip. It's a casual/fast food type place, the kind of grab-and-go pizza places & such we have all over NY. The food was ---AMAZING! So it stuck in my head. On my last night in Rome, I came back here to get some food to-go. Their pizza is sold in rectangular slices by weight (not by slice). If there is a language problem, just point to what you want and how much. Just a few bar stool/high table type spots to eat at. I think its a cash only spot. I got some Arancini (rice balls), some fried artichokes and some pizza Rosso (YUM!). The food is inexpensive & absolutely delicious!

Yelp
The best Supplì in Rome hands down!!! This was recommended by a local, and it did not disappoint! This hidden gem outshined all the other places that I've eaten here in Rome! The service was quick and friendly! The food was just amazing! If you're on the hunt for authentic homemade food, then this is it! This place has to be a high priority for anyone coming to Rome!

Yelp
Awesome takeout place that is super affordable. My husband and I stopped in for a variety of slices of pizza and it was delicious. There's very little space inside the shop, so we had to eat outside standing on the street. They price by weight here so you can tell them how big you want each slice! And ask them to heat it up if your pizza isn't fresh out of the oven, otherwise you'll get served a lukewarm slice unless you're lucky enough to get a pizza straight out of the oven.
