Perched high above the city at the CitizenM Hotel, Sushi by Bou serves up vibrant omakase courses and creative cocktails amidst stunning skyline views.
"Southwest D.C. got a groovy new raw fish perch this spring with the arrival of Sushi by Bou. Located atop the citizenM hotel near L’Enfant Plaza, guests can enjoy timed omakase menus set against sweeping skyline views in a vibrant space outfitted with disco balls and kaleidoscopic furniture. Guests can opt for 12 courses for $60 or 17 courses for $100 in 60 minutes. Available at the 10-seat counter, fast-moving orders include hamachi (yellowtail), botan ebi (spotted prawn), ikura (salmon roe), hotate (scallop), and its signature surf-and-turf combo, wagyuni. Hand rolls and other sushi standbys are available upon request." - Tierney Plumb, Eater Staff
"Sushi by Bou is where omakase meets disco—a combination as unexpected as a parking spot near the National Mall, but way more fun. Once you make it up to the rooftop of the CitizenM Hotel at L’Enfant Plaza, the elevator doors slide open to reveal a stunning Capitol view and a blast of ’70s nostalgia, complete with orange zebra pillows, disco ball lights, and stools that look like they belong in a high-end roller rink. The signature omakase is only $65 (before drinks), and you get 12 solid pieces of nigiri. It’s a great deal, especially for a night that involves humming along to the music and sipping on yuzu pink peppercorn cocktails. Just keep in mind that, like the rest of the Sushi By Bou locations around the country, the omakase is limited to an hour, so have a plan for where you want to go next." - tristiana hinton, omnia saed
