"With its white tiled walls and compact counter seating, this restaurant couldn't look simpler, but it is not a place to be underestimated. Classic Japanese sushi preparations soar to a high level thanks to the exceptional quality of the local seafood ingredients. Diners are all served at the same time, omakase style, with the signature soy-cured egg and the sake tasting menu proving the highlights." - Michelin Inspector

"Sushi Sho is a 12-seat, Michelin-starred restaurant where chef Carl Ishizaki and his team offer a tight 90-minute, 15-course omakase and otsumami menu that changes daily. All guests sit around a U-shaped counter, facing the chefs who serve the whole bar simultaneously. The long list of wine and sake is impressive, with options from some iconic producers. The list is particularly strong on Champagne, white Burgundy, and Mosel." - Per Styregård

Omakase with fresh seafood. Ingredients are mostly from Scandinavian countries. But it’s a pity that the good ingredients are made in very limits ways. It’s a quite important thing for omakase, because omakase is like a show, brining the guests a feast not only in the mouth, but also eyes and nose. Sake pairing is nice, you can tell the difference for different type of sake.

I love the food, but compared to other sushi fine dining places in Europe, this is the only place I was still hungry after omakase has been all served and I ordered and ate the extra food.

Google
Honestly one the of best Japanese sushi experiences I have had in the northern hemisphere. The food and experience was done incredibly well and everything was to the highest quality of standards. Each dish was prepared beautifully and came with explanations about the sourcing of the ingredients, the style of dish, and the recommended way of consuming it. I saw another review mention that these types of explanations would not be given if you only spoke English; but that could not be farther from the truth - my party and I had delightful conversations and explanations given to us in perfect English, French and Japanese. That being said, the staff are also extremely knowledgeable about not only the courses they are serving but also the production, palettes, and sourcing of the ingredients and alcohols they serve/use and were happy to appeal to both our appetites and curiosity. Again the food was impeccable and I would also recommend the Sake pairings alongside the menu as they have been chosen extremely well and complement multiple courses. Just a side note to westerners who come from cultures where a sweet course is typical after a meal - this restaurant is authentically Japanese and desserts after meals are not a common experience as Japan has more set times such as tea for sweet desserts so don’t be dissatisfied when they’re are no desserts.

I went for a meal with my partner and it was the best meal I have ever had. It is worth saying, I am not really the Michelin restaurant person, I have not eaten at lots of fancy restaurants, in fact this meal was the first time I ate Octopus so if you want the opinion of a fine dining fiend than that is not mine. But my two cents was that the food was absolutely excellent, their signature soy egg was the best thing I have ever had and getting to try fresh wasabi was a real treat. I found the staff to be helpful, to give good descriptions of the food and were ready to answer any questions. The simple thing is that this is a meal I will remember for a long time, which for me makes it worth every penny and even then with all the food and drinks we had, I thought it was worth what we paid and more!

Google
Amazing food and a great experience. The chefs prepare all your food infront of you. Everything was so good. Perhaps a little pinch of salt on the first dish would have made i even better. I loved the Turbot, amazing, and so surprising. Also the tomato dish was very good. A great ending on our trip to Sweden. Now back to 🇦🇺

It was an incredible experience and well-worth the visit! Some items were absolutely stunning and others were most likely an acquired taste

Fantastic sushi, great service and they were super accommodating to my celiac daughter🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🍣

Google
Food here was so so and no variety of seafood. They serve salmon, tuna and common fishes. The sushi we got came scorching hot which was a shock because sushi should be served at body temp. When they asked for feedback I said the truth, instead of being professional, they decided to question if I've been to Japan which I thought was rude and unprofessional. Please don't ask for feedback if you're not ready for it. I don't think I'll come back again because the price and food quality do not justify.

Yelp
We were so excited for this omakase and I really wanted to love it but just can't give it a high rating. Maybe I expected too much for an omakase in Scandinavia. I did really like how quick the meal was - all over and done with in essentially 90 minutes. Also appreciated the no-fuss casual setting, and the chefs all had humor. Now getting to the food - the courses were very small and most were just okay. We left not full which to me is an issue for a Michelin rated restaurant. The skill sets were also not entirely there for a supposed top notch sushi restaurant. Several of our sushi pieces had rice falling apart from the mold, which is a huge no no. If you are very versed in sushi would not recommend this. However, if you are new to a mikae, this could be a good experience.

Yelp
The reviews on this place seem all over the place. But for me, I thought it was very good. As of the time of this review, Sushi Sho still holds its Michelin star. Coming from NYC, I have access to superb sushi, so when when my friends wanted to come here I have to admit I was not overly eager using a meal in Sweden that I thought I could get back home. However, I am totally glad I came! The omakase was excellent. Appreciated that Chef Ishizaki is still the main person behind the bar and assembling most of the nigiri and dishes. There are plates/dishes mixed in, so not just sushi pieces. The cured egg yolk was fabulous. Wonderful sake list, and you can opt for a pairing if you like. At the end you can add on extras (notably otoro, which is not part of the regular omakase) - it was great, as they prepared it three different ways. A very decadent way to end the meal. Majority of seats are at the bar, but they have one elevated table along the window with a view of the restaurant (kind of like stadium seating). We actually sat here, and loved it. There's more room, next to the window, but still relatively close to the sushi counter. We had a dedicated server who was absolutely fabulous. Reservations are needed.

Yelp
Saw mixed reviews for this place but decided to try it anyway since it had a Michelin Star but was definitely disappointed. Should have trusted the reviews. The atmosphere was relaxed but the seats were pretty uncomfortable, and it got pretty stuffy. The rice was grainy and seasoned weird, and definitely took away from the fish. The fish was nothing to write home about, not bad but I expected more from an omakase place. I did like the soy egg tuna dish, daikon and octopus tho, and the service was good, very quick at refilling the water. Would probably not recommend and honestly no idea how they have a Michelin star.

Yelp
Well, it is highly recommended and Michelin rated. Glad to make it during my first trip to Stockholm.Totally awesome experience. Omakase at its best, very small place, fits 12-14 ppl most. Multi course omakase otsunami. Friendly knowledgeable chefs, variety of drinks options, including good sake. The price is quite reasonable, at least in USD, $100 or so, before extras and drinks, for such memorable Michelin star rated experience. I wish we would have more places like this in Chicago. Sea bass, halibut, different types of premium tuna, including bluefin, and octopus were particularly good.

Yelp
I contemplated a long time on whether or not to write this review in fear or karmic vengeance of the kind Chefs of Sushi Sho and the even more kind people of Sweden. The Eater's Guide and Michelin-backed "Classic Japanese" Sushi Sho does not serve sushi. The rice has so much vinegar, it overpowers the fish. The fish is slightly slimy and under-marinated or under-treated with a soulless aftertaste. The "white tiled walls" are lined with brown gunk. There is a mix-and-match use of Japanese ingredients and techniques like ponzu and Faroe salmon shabu-shabu. The closest analogy I have of the experience is having your Swedish best friend from college offer to prepare sushi for you after learning about it while studying abroad in Tokyo for one summer. The $100 per-person price point for local sea bass, salmon, scallops, and other white fish is robbery. The only Japanese fish they offered was Bluefin, which they charge an extra $60 at the end of the courses for an Otoro medley. There is also too much down time between the small-portion courses, which, in addition to numbing your tastebuds, is why they probably recommend you pair alcohol with the meal. As a sushi-enthusiast who has eaten at Kyūbey in Ginza, I find this Michelin-star-supported attempt at the fine art of sushi offensive. Digging deeper, I would say that this experience points to the European inability to empathize with cultural perspectives outside their own. Sushi is about discipline, the devotion one's life to a trade, with no small sense of precision and grace. Sushi Sho ignores all of these attributes. I am left hungry with a bad taste in my mouth after leaving Scandinavia. A person who enjoys Sushi Sho lacks a fundamental understanding and appreciation of sushi. I hope the next person reading this will move on to the next option.

Yelp
I had really high hope for this place but it just didn't hit the perfect mark for me. I decided to book this sushi spot after reading all the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. While the sushi pieces were fresh, the tastes were nothing out of ordinary and it didn't stand out compare to other sushi joints in NYC. It was also very strange that they had 4 extra seats by the window, away from the sushi bar. So while they advertised them as sushi bar seats, you don't really get the full experience when you aren't seated by the bar. Lastly, the chef came around and showcased a big slab of fatty tuna (toro) and asked how we wanted it (sushi, sashimi, tartar). We asked if it was extra and he said you can order extra piece. I remember saying distinctively that I don't need the extra piece but we still got charged at the end. I think there was a communication gap where I thought our omekase came with at least one piece. Honestly, if you are in Stockholm, go try one of the modern Scandinavian restaurants. Save the sushi for Japan or NYC!

Brett F.

Yelp
Overall the sushi was excellent. The service was amazing as well and the experience was very cool. If you sit at the bar, you will get to watch the chef prepare all the sushi which was very cool. It was quite pricey but worth it

Yelp
I try not to be nitpicky, but if your restaurant has a Michelin star and/or you charge a premium price on your product, then you should be judged to a higher standard. After researching Stockholm, Sushi Sho was one of the restaurants I was looking forward to most, and made reservations as soon as possible (over a month or two in advance). I arrived about 15 minutes before it opened. Staff was friendly and offered me drinks beforehand. Eventually I was seated. This was my first and one of my biggest gripes. They have seating at the bar and a very small 4 person table in the corner. I was seated at the bar in front of the table. Sushi Sho is EXTREMELY cramped. Chairs at the bar have almost no space between each other. It's a chore just to take your seat. I spent the whole night (about 1 1/2 hours) tense, having to keep my elbows tucked in to avoid bumping into my neighbors. Even then it didn't matter, I would constantly brush elbows with both my neighbors. Also anytime I slouched just a little bit with the server behind me I'd bump into them. The food quality itself was excellent. I especially loved their egg yolk, tuna, toasted rice dish. It was truly one of the most unique dishes I've ever had. Perfect balance of texture and flavors. Unfortunately portions of everything else were very small, especially for the first half. For example, the abalone was essentially two small quarter-sized pieces. The proportions of rice to fish were also off, with way more rice to fish. Also noticed that rice was brought out in small batches. I don't know how much they cook at a time, but I noticed that my rice was perfect in some parts but mushy in others. The nigiri dishes they offered were pretty basic and nothing special. Another probably pet peeve issue I had was their seemingly preferential treatment to the big spenders next to me. They ordered pretty much every extra possible. And the head chef gave them each a huge spoonful of caviar, and commented how they don't normally do this. Awesome. Wish I could've had a taste too. I guess I should've spent more??? I think Sushi Sho has a lot of potential. They have some truly unique dishes, like the egg yolk or razor clam/onion dish, etc.. I think if they tried to expand on that and fixed their other issues (seating, rice proportion, etc.), this place would be incredible. As of now I can't recommend Sushi Sho, and don't understand how it earned a Michelin star.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic omakase dinner! Flavors were astounding, service was friendly and professional, and price was very justified in my opinion. The restaurant is very small, so I definitely recommend a reservation. The omakase itself was around 12 dishes with over half being nigiri. Some of my favorites were the arctic chard, otoro tuna belly, octopus, and Icelandic uni. Amazing flavor and quality. They also offered extra otoro dishes for purchase at the end of the meal. I ended up paying 750 sek, including tip, which equates to around 90 usd. In the states, an omakase of this quality could be hundreds of usd so I thought this was great value.

Yelp
The best sushi experience I've ever had. The whole team was so wonderful. From the service to the knowledge to the flavors. It was the most intimate dinner and I only wish we had more time in Stockholm to go back.

Yelp
Excellent Sushi restaurant in the middle of Stockholm. 3 sittings per day and chef's menu only. Chefs are Swedes worked and studied in both Sweden and Japan. Very impressed with chef's sushi making skills. Good sake collection and the sake sommelier is quite knowledgeable. He told me the restaurant actually sent him to Japan each year to visit sake brewery. A testament they treat their craftsmanship seriously.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to try this place for weeks. We booked well in advance and in the morning they sent an email confirming the booking. A few hours later followed up with a phone call to see if we were going to show up. Arrived 10mins before and had to stand outside waiting until previous seating paid and left. Very confined space and not that much room at your seat. 16 seats and hardly any room for heavy breathing. The time slot was 1.5hr, which is way to short to enjoy your dinner. The 15 pieces from the tasting menu was served in a rapid pace similar to an assembly line. This was so stressful since we could not really enjoy our food and drinks. They came, presented the dish and rushed back and within minutes the guy was there again. Really no time to order anything before our time was out and you get thrown out. The dishes were a bit on the tiny side for me and at the end the said they had something special if we wanted to order a 16th piece. This was going to melt in our mouth, but really no and was priced at 100kr/piece for one sushi. The food was good, but not Michelin-good. There's Alex sushi in Oslo for example, which is in a whole different class than this place and they don't have any stars. If I visit a Michelin restaurant I want to relax and really enjoy my food and drinks. It's not factory. Micro dishes isn't equivalent to exclusive, they are just tiny and harder to distinguish flavors from. The main focus here seems to be to fit as many ppl as possible in one day to maximize their investment. I expected more from this place, much more!!!

Yelp
After being awarded 1 Michelin star, Sushi Sho is busier than ever! All the worth is in the freshness of the fish and the complexity of some dishes. Everything tastes good but it is what you would expect of an acclaimed sushi restaurant; soy, ginger, spring onions, etc. I would also prefer to sit more comfortably around the serving kitchen, since the restaurant now only serves in sittings, of one and a half hour each. The chefs prepare most of the menu in front of the customers, which I found both entertaining and inspiring. To see such skill and knowledge on display, is always a privilege for me and therefore part of the whole SHO experience.

Yelp
Waited two months for this booking. We absolutely love sushi, so we were really looking forward to it. They had two simple ingredients to get right, and they didn't. The rice tasted like it had been cooked in beef stock... Too much at that. The fish was probably very good quality, but every bite was over taken but the extreme over salted rice. The chef could hear us unhappy, and didn't seem to care enough to even try the rice himself. No one even bothered to ask us how the food was until the very end, when we paid. He just said " oh!" and charged us 300$, even though the food was so terrible that we cut the tasting off. I've honestly NEVER had to cut a tasting menu off, nor have my complaints gone completely ignored. The corner sushi store has better quality sushi because you can actually taste the fish. Don't waste your time of money on this pretentious, stuck up, waste of time and money. Worst experience I've had in a verrrrry long time, I would rate McDonald's higher.

Yelp
So I finally had the opportunity to come back for a dinner at Sushi Sho after living in Japan. I was a bit worried due to the mixed reviews before making my new visit to this place. They have changed a little bit since I was here the last time (before they got their reward in Guide Michelin). They are still top notch and outside of Japan, best sushi I've had. I love the more classic approach to sushi so this places makes my mouth water. Excellent service and the staff tells you about each dish that is served and gives good recommendations regarding beverages. There are some things I noticed that did make me want to write another review. In my mind they still have a rating closer to 4,5. I love the service, the flavors and the whole experience. The small minus points are the fact that they cut all the fish in advance so even though they're still fresh, I preferred when I had to wait in between each piece for them to cut the fish for each serving. And even if I do like the flavors and the boldness of some combinations, sometimes the dashi, yuzu and soy sauce flavors become to dominant. I want to savor the actual fish as well. Book in advance, be prepared to spend around 1000sek per person and you'll have a great sushi experience.

Yelp
One of my travel companions wanted to have sushi while in Stockholm, and after a bit of research, we decided on Sushi Sho. Chef Carl Ishizaki and his crew operate a small 10-12 seat sushi restaurant serving mostly locally sourced fish. Reservations are highly recommended due to the small size of this establishment. We had reservations for 8:30PM on a Thursday night, but were not able to be seated until 9:00PM due to the slow turn over of customers. We ordered the omakase, and left our fate in Chef Carl's hands. Because the fish is locally sourced, some of it was significantly different that what we can get in California, but other items were very familiar. We learned that due to the brackish water in the Baltic Sea, most of the fish is brought in from Gothenburg or from Norway. The uni is flown in from Canada, frozen. The omakase included: clam, octopus head, salmon roe (ikura), octopus tentacle, herring, trout, cod, salmon belly, flounder, salmon, scallops and uni. The cod and salmon were served after being seared with a hand torch. At home, this effect can be accomplished with a toaster or salamander oven, but the hand torch is a very nice show, especially in a small setting. Unfortunately, the fish had the slight taste of propane or butane fuel. The rest of the sushi was excellent. Sitting so close to the kitchen, we could see the detail and attention that Chef Carl puts into every piece of nigiri that touches the plate. The ratio of fish to rice was perfect. We were also very pleased with the service provided by Chef Carl and his crew. Everyone was super friendly and we had the opportunity to spend some time chatting with everyone. We even learned that Carl's brother plays soccer for the LA Galaxy! If you a looking for an exceptional, immersive experience, I highly recommend Sushi Sho in Vasastan!

Yelp
Best sushi place in Stockholm. Especially if you're into Edomae style sushi. Can be very crowded and you only get to sit there for an hour and a half (which is a lot longer than at Jiro's though ;)). Make a reservation in advance.
google avatar

Samn R.

Yelp
They have three seatings T-F and five seatings on Saturday. It is highly recommended that you get a reservation! I really wanted sushi and dragged three coworkers (whose idea of sushi is "california rolls") here to check the place out. When we got there (on a Wednesday evening), it was packed (easy to do as the place is tiny), but we were so lucky that the long table against the window with seating enough for four was empty. Even though we walked in right in the middle of a seating, they were nice and served us anyway. We all had omakase. My companions were great sports as they haven't had actual [raw] sushi before, but the chef's skill and freshness of the fish is what really won them over. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Next time I am in Sweden, I am going back!

Yelp
Very good Simple, fresh, good Nice atmosphere, Prices are ok if you dont had any extras

Yelp
Me and my boyrfriend spent a Friday evening here. It was a cool atmosphere, great service, and food was really good! Best sushi I have ever had in Sweden! It is also a cool experience, sitting together with everyone in the restaurant (17 people), getting served at the same time. Flavors were great, clean flavors which I prefer, not too many ingredients, but just perfect! we tried their moshi ice cream, which was really goo! We had one salted caramel and one chesnut. Well worth a visit!

Yelp
The best Sushi I ever had, and this is with earlier experiences at some of New Yorks and Los Angels best Sushi restaurants. It´s a small och cosy place, so don´t go there if your afraid of having someone you might not know rubbing their shoulder against you. But for me this is part of the good experience. Each piece of the Omakase is great and fell directly into my taste. I also enjoyed the Sake, even though I´m not knowledgable in that area. Super nice people working, best tasting sushi and just great!

Yelp
Arrival When arriving 10 minutes before the first evening service one of the staff was smoking right outside the entrance door. Not expected at any place, let alone a Michelin star Sushi bar. Makes you wonder what else goes on inside. Let's go in and find out. Facility Sushi Sho has a nice minimalistic approach with tiled walls and a big counter with stools and a separate window table. All in all 16 seats. The music was at mid level and was a playlist containing 80´s synth/new romantic. The bathroom was large enough and clean. Seating The corner on the counter is just to close to the door so the person sitting there gets bumped in to by guest passing by. Every time the door opens the ice-cold winter wind blows right in. The other seats on the short end of the counter are to close to the table behind so it´s not possible to serve the table in the window properly. Didn´t actually se anyone being served in the hand but the guest on the corner was asked by serving staff to "hop in" The seating plan is just wrong. Staff The staff was friendly, polite and explained what was being served. None of them was using gloves. The sushi chef dipped his arm in the display fish on the counter several times. Food There is one fixed menu and everyone is served the same item at the same time. It was approximately 15 servings of omakase and tsumami which was the chef's selection of sushi and hors d'oeuvres of the evening. The consistency and flavors were there on some of the dishes. One of the dishes lacked the toasted seaweed found on the others. The mini-scallop was not cut loose from the shell and almost impossible to loosen without a splash. Several of the grilled dishes had a taste of gasoline. The gari served was spicy, vinegary, salty and way to overpowering. The homemade soya that was dripped on most dishes was nice. The water served was right from the tap. No tea was served. The serving took just over one hour Guests All of the 16 guests on the seating but 2 had an alcoholic beverage with the food, either beer or Sake. One was using snuff tobacco with the food, one asked their partner if there was garlic in one of the dishes. No sushi connoisseurs really but a nice buzz Price/payment When serving was completed all guests started lining up to cash register. The menu was € 50 per pax. There you had to tell the staff the amount including tip before the total was transferred to the card terminal. Very strange and those behind you could hear if you tip, or if you don´t. A first for me. No feedback on your experience was asked for at any time of our stay. Verdict Rather disappointing if you consider what you pay and compare with the competition out there. How they received a Michelin star is a mystery really. At the current level they are performing I cannot recommend Sushi Sho

Yelp
Sushi show is perhaps the best sushi restaurant I have tried outside of Japan and California/New York! The very amazing quality of the food, and the truly personalized and professional service of Carl Ishizaki the founder/chef and his very cool staff was truly remarkable. This was truly one of the best meals I have had on a very amazing gastronomic trip thus far! This is saying quite a lot after having spent several days in Italy sampling some amazing places just prior to coming to Stockholm!
google avatar

Nate K.

Yelp
I do love sushi and I do love sashimi. For that I have tried lots and lots of sushi et sashimi (since I am asian) mais this place was the best place for me and my friend. I really DO want to visit this place again if possible, for rest of my life. You'll never regret your choice if u have ur tongue&
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
This is certainly my favorite sushi place in Stockholm at the moment. Natural flavors are allowed to sing, un-microphoned by extra frills and toppings (which is so commonplace nowadays it's getting boring/ridiculous) and such amazing care is put into making sure that the few key ingredients are well-balanced that every bite of nigiri is a composition where flavor, consistency, and looks make my heart flutter! Go for the Omakase; you'll never find a better deal! The other dishes we've tried (Barra sushi and sushi plates) have obviously also been fantastic, but Omakase is a worthy experience. Since the different fish they have depend on what is available and fresh the menu changes constantly, keeping me curious and coming back again and again. Can't recommend enough!
google avatar

Tim F.

Yelp
Based on previous reviews, I had to try this place. Plus, it's within easy walking distance from my hotel. The venue is small but intimate. I ordered the omakase and received 16 pieces of wonderfully prepared seafood. There was no need for more soy sauce or wasabi. The chef dressed everything the way it's meant to be tasted. I would definitely return for more.
google avatar

Lars M.

Yelp
Perfect sushi - the way it should be! Forget miso and mixing wasabi in soy - everything arrive ready to eat. Fresh and excellent! Do not miss the lovely Ginger Juice Drink.

Jane W.

Yelp
Sushi was fresh and good but didn't think the entire meal was worth the price. Maybe I would've had a different opinion if I didn't opt for the SEK 200 otoro at the end. I guess I just expected more out of a Michelin starred restaurant. Perhaps this is what I get for trying out sushi as my first meal here in Stockholm.
google avatar

S M.

Yelp
One of the best meals of my life. My husband and I were in Stockholm for vacation, and we ate here on the last day of our trip. The food was terrific, the chefs were kind, and the whole experience was just wonderful. We had a mix of expected sushi (salmon, tuna, etc.) and more unusual options like herring and urchin. Just wonderful. Don't miss it. Call or email them for reservations!
google avatar

Oscar Q.

Yelp
Probably the best sushi in the city. The place is small, the staff is friendly, you normally need to book in advance. The prices are high, but quality too!
google avatar

Richard L.

Yelp
Some of the best Edomai style omakase sushi I've had outside of Japan. Found this place by accident on a Saturday afternoon and eat there every time I visit Stockholm. Chef Carl's presentations are on par with some of the best Tokyo sushiya. Would love to see more types of junmai daiginjo sake but this is a small place so storage is limited I suppose. Definitely need to make a booking for dinner.
google avatar

Johan A.

Yelp
Nice sushi with good selection of fish, but the nigiri is too loose, and the main reason the score is not higher is the soy sauce. Not good.
google avatar

Patricia C.

Yelp
So pro. So fresh. So great. Such taste. Most fun sushi experience in Stockholm. So GREAT. These people take so much care into the food I started crying at the counter. (I was not crying Bc of the wasabi)
google avatar

Marcelo S.

Yelp
Tasting menu, 11 pieces no wasabi, no soy sauce. Just enjoy every piece as it should. Best sushi experience I had ever. Highly recommended. Maybe one downside is having only light beer.

Yelp
The Sushi here is phenomenal. This place has forever changed my expectations of what a sushi restaurant should be like. I thought some of their dishes would be a little boring without any of the fancy sauces and extras on it (like i'm sure you get anywhere else in the west), but the flavor was so perfect it really didn't need anything. This place has forever turned me on to nigiri over the gooped up maki rolls that I was used to. I was at an event as a Yelp reporter when I first tried their Kaizen Danburi and some pork dish that I can't see on the menu now... both were PHENOMENAL. Normally, this all seemed like it would be a little too far outside my comfort zone, but I was really surprised at how much I really loved everything. Even if you look at the menu and think this place doesn't or won't appeal to you, give it a chance! The flavors are unexpected and entertaining. I know this is more of a traditional style of cooking for Japan, but it's new to me! And, I LOVE IT!

Yelp
I would definitely recommend this place to sushi lovers. Great quality, extremely fresh and local products, perfect dose of soy sauce... and a very friendly staff who took care of us as we were a bit in a rush. The room is small so booking ahead is a good idea.

Yelp
Thought I'd be missing some of the sauces when I got recommended but not at all. Great sushi here!

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! Their delicious sushi gets lots of attention, for good reasons, but they also have an excellent donburi. Together with Råkultur I'd say this is one of the top sushi restaurants in Stockholm.

Yelp
We booked a place here on Friday night after reading the excellent reviews and we had the best meal. The experience is quite unique with a small restaurant for about 15 people. They have 3 sittings a night and during our seating everyone ate the set menu receiving the same sushi piece at the same time. The set menu was 11 pieces for 300kr or your could add 4 small dishes for 200kr more. We did both and it almost too much food. As other people have written and we understand ahead of time they had no Soy sauce or Wasabi. Each piece was made with just the right touch of both decided by the chef to bring out the best flavors in the piece. After dinner we were presented with their selection of after dinner drinks and dessert which we both tried and enjoyed. I am happy to say that they have their liquor license now and offer Japanese beer and sak`e. The one I tried was very mild flavor and paired nicely with the sushi. This was absolutely one of our favorite meals ever and was well worth it.
