The Hottest New Restaurants in the Seattle Area, November 2024

"Here’s a hotspot for all you budget-conscious diners who still want to have one of those “let’s eat a huge pile of food in the Chinatown–International District” moments. The simply named joint has a surprisingly expansive, sleek dining room where all the tables come with tablets. You tap the screen to send in the order, chefs prepare the sushi on the spot (so the rolls aren’t just lying around), and... voila! Unlimited sushi. The rolls are okay, but make sure you load up on nigiri and flamed-seared sushi, and don’t forget about the non-sushi items like karaage and tempura, which are included in the AYCE price ($24 for lunch, $32 for dinner)." - Meg van Huygen, Harry Cheadle

Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings

"This new CID restaurant is exactly what the name suggests. You can eat as many pieces of seared salmon nigiri, shrimp tempura rolls, and edamame as you want, all for a set price under $35 dollars. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

Tried the all-you-can-eat sushi dinner for $32.99. The food was okay—not bad, but nothing special. Sashimi came in awkward cube cuts, which took away from the experience. The garlic edamame was a miss, mixed with a sweet soy garlic sauce that didn’t really belong. Service was average at best—polite but not attentive. The leftover charge is $14.99 per pound, so order carefully. Overall, it’s decent if you’re really hungry, but there are better AYCE options out there.

Google
This restaurant is sort of self service - me a big you’re seated and then you order your food on the tablet, if you’re doing the AYCE option. What I liked was that the tablet provided pictures of the sushi/food. But there was limited food options & only a few apps, if you didn’t want sushi. What I didn’t like was that the staff never came to check up on us and I had to waive them down for more water. They only time they come to your table is to drop off food. I understand the concept BUT there’s some additional kinks they need to figure out to be able to provide better service to their customers. Between me and the hubby we ate 6 rolls and ordered 5 different apps as well. The little rectangle sushi roles were my FAVORITE along with the dumplings, fried rice and tempura shrimp/veggies. Some might say this isn’t worth the price but I wanted to give it a fair chance. Would we come back? Not sure but I will say there’s tons of great food options around the corner and for much cheaper.

Google
Food was decent for the price. At lunch time, the server asked if we want $25 or $35. $25 doesn't include sashimi. We chose $25, and we had a satisfying meal without sashimi. Special rolls have big portions. Order conservatively so you don't get charged for leftovers.

Google
It was a good experience, no wait time when we got there which was around 3pm on a Saturday. People starts coming in around 6. The place is small but has big tables for a big group. I wish they have more soup selections and the rice they put on 1 kind is too much for the amount of fish they put on top. That’s a personal preference tho so it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Google
This is a order based all you can eat sushi restaurant. There is front and back seating. The atmosphere is pretty chill, and the food comes quick. The servers are also really nice. The food here is really good, what shocked me the most was the salmon portions. However, it is very fresh and yummy. I would also recommend the torched salmon and the hand rolls which are my favorite.

Google
First time visiting Sushi Eyce and I loved it! Went with my family and we all had the all-you-can-eat option (4 of us). The sushi was super fresh, portions were generous, and everything came out really quickly. The place has a nice atmosphere too — definitely coming back!

Google
We got the ayce and at first it was great until they served us the wrong roll and we called them out for it. The server asked us if we could just keep it. We declined because of the 14.99/pound leftover charge. After that, the roll that we ordered (pictured) came in with so much rice!! The salmon looks like a hat! Not like the pictures at all! The following pieces we got were obviously to make us full and it lowkey seemed as if they were trying to charge us. Also there sashimi were cut into cubes! Crazy.. for a 32.99/person deal. This was not the quality we were expecting.

Genevieve Condron

Google
I went here on a Friday night and it did not disappoint. The sushi was fresh, the staff was super friendly and quick. There was no wait and the price was not bad. I paid $35 for unlimited sushi and the portions are large. Overtime you order a roll it’s a full roll and it’s so yummy. They also have appetizers, soups, and desserts included. I highly recommend and make sure to bring your appetite.

Yelp
have been here a handful of times. yummy! definitely get anything salmon - it's very fresh tempura is yummy as well. don't get any roll with the crab meat...unless you like sweet crab

Yelp
We walked in and were seated right away. The server explained how it works to order (it was our first time). The food was good and came out fast. It is bright and nicely decorated with music playing but not to loud you can't converse. We will definitely come back next time we're in Seattle.

Yelp
Great food. Extremely fast service. Awesome experience. Amazing price. Pretty reasonable considering the location.

Yelp
Fast service with a pad, and easy ordering system where you get to place orders every 15 minutes for 15 items at a time. Water, chopsticks, wasabi & ginger are all brought for you at the table when you sit down. It gets a bit loud if big groups come in, but that just means eating is lively! Came for lunch happy hour (24.95 per person, ends at 4pm) and left super stuffed. If each person orders 4 things, that's 6$ a roll, which is such a good deal since at regular places, a roll is...what, 12$? $15 each? Add the miso soup or appetizer on the side and it's a solid SOLID meal. The udon has a flavorful broth. The tempura has a good mix of onion, broccoli, zucchini, carrot, squash, so great for kids too! The dragon roll tasted refreshing with finely chopped cucumbers and soy sauce drizzled on top. The nigiri was smooth and seared well. The torched roll is a biiiiig square thing of rice with a surprise tempura in the center, and melty mayo-drenched seared fish on top (we got tuna and salmon)--both were amazing. Enjoyed my meal here a lot! Loved that the booths were clean and the server was easy to grab when we needed the bill. Next time I come, I need to prep to eat more!

Yelp
The food here at Sushi%AYCE is good. I love ordering the seared salmon/shrimp, takoyaki, and the hand rolls! There aren't many all you can eat sushi places in Seattle, this restaurant is the perfect fill. The service was good :) I would like to give this place 5 stars, unfortunately, upon walking into the restaurant it smells like a toilet and throughout the entire dining experience.
google avatar

Trey M.

Yelp
Pros: - Food comes out pretty quick after ordering. - Overall, the fish quality is good for an AYCE. - Really liked the salmon handroll Cons: - Would just say that the menu option are pretty limited to the basic choices (Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, and a few others) for the most part. - Torch sushi rice proportions are a little rice heavy and and there's not much fish per piece. Overall I'd say its worth trying! Especially if you favor the more standardized fish options and sushi rolls
google avatar

Leilani Q.

Yelp
Easy ordering system, no frills service, and easy to grab a table this Saturday afternoon! Tip: load up your first order (up to 15 items) because you can only order in 15min intervals and go on from there. Getting the premium vs lunch I think is worth it so you can get all the different types of fish. Special roll: Sear salmon roll - get this one! The best special roll we tried today Sashimi/nigiri: recommend salmon belly nigiri, salmon, yellow tail
google avatar

Serena W.

Yelp
First time here and enjoyed the sushi! I love their salmon- the torch salmon, seared salmon, sashimi, nigiri. You can't go wrong with salmon here, tasted very fresh and great. I ordered the tuna and yellowtail nigiri but did not enjoy those as much. The seared salmon roll was sooo good. I need to get that again! The torch salmon was also surprisingly good but had a lot of rice. I'd recommend trying this place! There were 1 or 2 items we ordered that never came but it wasn't a big deal as we were already pretty full.

Yelp
Amazing All You Can Eat sushi! It is one of the two best AYCE sushi places we have been, the other being K2 in Montreal which also has iPad ordering and torched rolls. We made a reservation in advance so we would have a table when the Seahawks game got out, but it turns out the place was quite empty despite the post game crowd and limited seating. The staff was extremely friendly. We ordered too much and they let us bring the leftovers back to our hotel for a very reasonable cost. We would love to come back another time while in Seattle.
google avatar

Marge L.

Yelp
We came on Presidents' Day for lunch and it wasn't busy. We were seated immediately and were able to eat off the premium AYCE menu for $32.95. You can order 15 items every 15mins. If you have leftovers you pay $14.99 per pound. We only ordered 8 items our 1st round and to our surprise we were full and didn't need to order more. They give you full sushi rolls which gets you full. The sashimi was like a sample size but it was perfect. I like the 15min time limit because you don't over order and you can gauge how much to order. I would come back again.

Yelp
Sushi%AYCE opened up in International District in Seattle in the summer. I've heard and seen mixed opinions and reviews about the restaurant. After a group of my friends visited recently, they were raving about how great it was. So, I kept an open mind about it and decided to visit shortly after they did. My sister and I went together for dinner/premium AYCE, which is $31.95 per person. We walked in and were seated right away. They gave us a quick run down on how the system works here. Once you submit an order, you need to wait 15 minutes before submitting another order. So make sure you order a decent amount in each order, so you don't waste time waiting. The quality of fish is actually pretty good for an AYCE restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by that. The pieces/slices of sashimi were a lot smaller than I expected, but I just ordered more afterwards. Some items that were seared, didn't feel freshly seared because it still felt cold. Also, there was a few items that are HEAVILY rice. I would definitely skip out on that item.

Yelp
If you're hungry for sushi and am ok with average sushi at an affordable price, this All You Can Eat (AYCE) restaurant is for you. If you are looking for high quality sushi and Japanese food, you'll be disappointed. My first evaluation point of a Japanese restaurant is how good is the miso soup. If they do that well, everything else is probably good also. The miso soup here is unfortunately not good. The tempura was bad also. But, some of the sushi was good, and for the money, we had a lot of sushi. Service was quick and efficient,

Yelp
My friends and I tried this restaurant during the soft opening week, which was worth it. We paid the lunch price ($23.95) for the entire Dinner & Premium AYCE ($31.95). We tried most of the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. My friends thought the nigiri, especially the Escolar was amazing. My favorites were the Unagi Nigiri and the Seared Salmon Roll. It was a very busy opening week for them, but we managed to beat the dinner rush and snagged a table without waiting. I haven't back since they opened, but curious to see how busy it is. One of my friends went back a few weeks after we went, but he said the quality wasn't as good as the first time we went, so I wonder.

Yelp
I have to give props for the friendly staff and quick service, brought our food out very quickly unlike other ayce sushi places I've been to. I am a bit disappointed in their lunch nigiri options (See photo). As someone who loves raw fish, there really was only two options, salmon and tuna, the others were tamago and ebi. I did, however, appreciate salmon belly on the list. It tasted a bit more fishy than what I'm use to. Their rice and fish ratio was also disappointing, wayyyyy too much rice and no way of customizing. They will charge you for uneaten rice by lb. Really enjoyed their udon, karage, and takoyaki. But as a raw fish and nigiri fan, would not go here again unfortunately.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Look, I have been to many AYCE joints, and not one of them holds a candle to the quality and the freshness of this place. They don't JUST do sushi, they have so many great dishes, but their sushi is probably the best sushi I have had in a while. They are a little expensive, yes, but well worth it.
google avatar

Dani M.

Yelp
My family wanted AYCE sushi so we came here and we came at a good time before the dinner rush (even on a Sunday). You can order up to 12 items every 15 minutes, and I liked how each order comes with a big portion unlike other AYCE sushi places that only give a couple pieces. The fish to rice ratio was definitely off, they put so much rice in the nigiri but I loved the salmon belly. As the restaurant got busier, the wait times for sushi became longer but by then we were getting full. I definitely recommend to come here to get your sushi fix.
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
Firstly, this is not a sushi joint!!!!! This is for peeps that think roll is sushi!!! If u want rolls then it's doable! Paid for dinner price at lunch!! Not worth it!!! Sushi selection stays same!!!! THIS IS WHY U DONT TRUST YELP REVIEWS LMAO! Secondly, there is no service existing cause all is done tru the pad and the server does not come!! If u need anything u better hope its in the pad!!! Omg lmao!! Sashimi is the only reason i paid for dinner and they come in small cubes ~~ lmao~~~ just laughed my ass off!!! Not expecting much from $32 but come on !!! Anyway for those roll lovers (rolls are all same shit just names differently) yeah just come for lunch cause dinner isnt much better!! This place is for young peeps for bargain rolls at cheap all u can eat! Finally, if u happened to go to the bathroom before eating, Dont!!! That will ruin ur appetite lmao!!!
google avatar

Julian G.

Yelp
TLDR: If you like California rolls and/or all you can eat places. You'll love it here. Otherwise I highly suggest sticking to the apps and nigiri. Food: I feel theres 2 things you should know about this place: 1. The rolls are full sized rolls - this is important because if you order too much you'll be charge by the pound! 2. Most rolls are California roll variants Get the stuffed Jalapeños Vibe: - Your order via tablet - all you can eat vibe like? What can be better?: If there were more variants in the rolls (though im pretty sure this is how they profit). If the rolls were half sized.
google avatar

Vy M.

Yelp
Be warned...you will want to order everything!! The rolls were really good and although sashimi was small, it's expected. For the price, I obviously don't expect the highest quality and I was quite surprised. Service was great, both our servers were friendly and food came out super fast. I'd come back and would definitely recommend, especially if you're a college student or have been starving all day. They give you 2 hours and you have to wait 15 minutes between each order, but that gives you time to digest and think about your decisions...before you regret them, like me.

Yelp
Sushi%AYCE is a hidden gem on king street. We came here after a basketball game and friends had been here before and we they liked it so decided to give it a try! We were seated immediately. At the table is a hand held with sections of sashimi nigiri rolls appetizers drinks desserts any and everything you could want. You have to order in rounds and a max of 15 items per round. We started off with salad sashimi and udon soup. Well very tasty, fresh and good portions! Some of the nigiri came with a lot of rice underneath and well as some of the salmon seared nigiri as well. As a person who loves rice, I try to only eat half the portion of rice, however this place does charge if you don't finish all the rice or any additional items. It's smart to order slowly to manage to portions. I wanted to give this restaurant a 4 because it's honestly a perfect spot for all you can eat sushi but we ordered three rolls and they never came out. I prefer sashimi and nigiri but I would have loved to try the rolls! Next time for sure! Still a Great place for all you can eat sushi!

Yelp
We just randomly stopped by here because we are just hungry and we saw this. AYCE sushi lunch time $23.95 until 4pm, dinner $31.95 Parking: pay street parking Located: chinatown, next to Kaukau bbq, across from Tai Tung. They offer free soda when you show your review via Yelp or google. Restroom: 1 gender neutral restroom only Limited menu sushi and appetizers for lunch, no sashimi on lunch mear. You also can ask for more ginger, wasabi and spicy mayo. Service is good. Order everything via their tablet on the table. 15 order per round. They said they will charge you per pound for things you did not eat. All these we ordered in 2 round and we are so full
google avatar

Tara H.

Yelp
Came here for Christmas day and was able to get seated right away. You are able to order AYCE or a la carte. We opted for the AYCE option because it is a great deal. It was $33/person for their premium option to be able to order everything off the menu (drinks are not included). You order using a tablet and can order up to 15 items every 15 minutes. There are a wide variety of things you can order including: rolls, sashimi, nigiri, cooked items and appetizers. We enjoyed all of our food and thought the quality was good. The torched sushi had too much rice to fish ratio, but everything else was great. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Came in here during a holiday and they said it was all day for their premium menu for $31.99. I was excited to try the sashimi. However, when the order came, the pieces were such a bad cut and incredibly small like end of the fish. Like 2 inches for each peice. I understand it's all you can eat but I felt that the quality was really lacking. They also only had 4 varieties of sashimi; salmon, seared salmon, tuna, seared tuna, yellow tail and a white fish. So pretty much only 4 types of fish. very small selection. We ordered a seared eel hand roll and it had a ton of rice in it. The customer service consisted of when the people dropped off the food at the table after you ordered it on the tablet. The restaurant was clean and appeared well kept. Parking is limited to street parking or private lots since it's in Chinatown. Overall, not impressed and wish there was more variety to choose from.
google avatar

Marielle J.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this place! I have not been to an AYCE sushi place and I LOVE sushi! This place looked small entering in but they have a few more tables at the back so I'd say it's a medium size establishment. Sushi/Food: fresh! 9/10. We were impressed by the sushi. The miso soup was ok and the egg fried rice was pretty good (my bf assures he's had better -- it was relatively decent for him). Ambience: 8/10. Love the red booths! Two singular bathrooms (one where we were at and another upstairs) Service: 6/10: not bad...at least they asked if it was our first time here and went over the menu patiently. We had a few questions tho...one of them being if one person can get AYCE vs one person getting a la carte. Guess who wanted AYCE?! :p In a nutshell, you can only get one or the other...they don't separate it. We didn't ask if it could be a separate bill but my guess is if you're at the same table, it's the same table number and you can only do AYCE OR a la carte. I would've definitely eaten more tho but maybe one day, I'll come back. Street parking for sure if you're lucky!

Yelp
Food - Nigiri and sashimi were good but the selection is pretty small. The appetizers were okay but nothing remarkable. The rolls were a bit too saucy, almost nauseating to eat. If I were to go back I wouldn't order any rolls and just stick to the nigiri and sashimi. There were a lot of flies if you're seated by the door, many tried to land on our food and one or two were even successful on our lobster sushi bake which we had to give up eating. Overall sushi and food quality didn't meet our expectations and we're hoping to see it improve. Service - Service is pretty fast, you can order what you want on an ipad. We didn't get any sauce plates on sitting down and had to ask for this. Ambiance - Mostly booths and well lit with natural light during the day. Looks pretty rough around the edges but that's okay since it's recently opened. Special Note: If you go for happy hour, the price is pretty affordable and would be the only reason I would recommend this place as of currently.
google avatar

Andrew Y.

Yelp
Good experience! Sushi was good quality...and nicely presented. You can put in an order every 15 mins...so for a big group, putting in the max for an order would be my recommendation. Sashimi is only 2-pieces in an order...so don't think you are getting 5-pieces like in the picture...order several (does not favor diabetics who can't eat a lot of rice). One of my sons does not like sushi...so he didn't have a good experience with the few alternatives. Overall though...really tasty and good...$32 on weekends is relatively reasonable.
google avatar

May L.

Yelp
Decent AYCE sushi with some decent options for the price. We really liked the sashimi and nigiri. The special rolls were not too bad as we only tried 3. The crispy rice sushi was good but rice was thick as they added imitation crab in between the rice compared to the crispy rice sushi I've had. Quick service after you order through a tablet.
google avatar

Bessie C.

Yelp
Located at the old Phnom Penh location. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Clean and spacious space with iPad for ordering. You can place an order every 15min. Service was terrific and quality of the food was excellent. Was just disappointed that they brought out all the rolls at the end so we couldn't finish. You can leave up to 8 pieces of sushi uneaten before getting charged.
google avatar

Alice W.

Yelp
Very conveniently located in downtown Seattle! I went for the lunch sushi Buffet for only $24
google avatar

Fay Y.

Yelp
Excellent value for all-you-can-eat sushi! The salmon and salmon belly sashimi are standout items, and there's an impressive variety of sushi, sashimi, and appetizers to choose from. The avocado the restaurant used is wonderful, so make sure to order the avocado salad they have. While the fish cuts could be more refined, it's a minor detail in an otherwise unbeatable experience. The staff is also very friendly, which adds to the overall enjoyment.
google avatar

Audrey C.

Yelp
Super fun place to take your friends for ayce sushi! Their options are pretty good for dinner and you can also order the sashimi by itself. I would say that the 15 item limit per order is severely limiting since it applies to your whole party. If you order sashimi, each slice is 1 item so we had to wait the 15 minutes each time we wanted to order more sashimi. For the jot food items, they are a hit or miss. The chicken karage and the gyoza was pretty good. The service was fast in the beginning but as the place started to fill up, we ended up not receiving a lot of our orders of sashimi and by that time, our dining time limit of 2 hours had already ran up. The place is surprisingly larger than expected since they have more tables in the back, I would also recommend making a reservation before coming. Parking: Paid street parking (sometimes incredibly challenging in international district)
google avatar

Vinh M.

Yelp
This new AYCE sushi restaurant is definitely something I didn't expect to make its way to Chinatown since we have a fair number of them in Japantown one or two blocks up! Since it is Chinatown, you have to rely on street parking, which is dicey most days of the week if Seattleites haven't said that enough. I came here with two other friends on a Thursday weeknight and got seated quickly since there weren't too many people inside. There's a bunch of paper lanterns near the booth tables inside and the place is brightly lit. There seems to be another counter where some of the sushi is made, though I did see servers going up and down the stairs not too far from the tables. You get 3 rounds to order for your food, and there's a minimum 15 minute time limit between orders. Among the dishes we gotten were the dragon roll, sashimi salmon, dancing eel roll, sashimi seared salmon, Las Vegas roll, nigiri salmon belly, rainbow roll and double spicy roll. Everything tasted great and was fresh for the most part, though I did wish there was less rice on most if not all of the rolls we gotten, and larger slices of the sashimi we got as well. There's so many offerings on the menu (which you use an iPad to place your orders using), so I wasn't able to try everything I wanted to in the end even though we didn't use all our rounds. The restaurant also charges you if you have any leftovers (you can't take leftovers home as expected), so we tried our best to finish everything. Overall, decent place for good sushi though other places in Japantown have better offerings.

Yelp
Service is great and quick. For the price, it was decent but not something I would not come back to even though Seattle doesn't have many AYCE sushi options. Fish is decently fresh but, again, nothing special. If you're just trying to fill up and get the most bang for your buck, this is a good option. Be careful of the reviews here. They give a free drink if you review them.

Jae-Woo C.

Yelp
It is best sushi AYCE. Enjoyed variety of sushi, sashimi, roll etc. Best restaurant in Seattle
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
Very fresh sushi. And it's all you can eat. So literally order as much as your stomach can hold. Came with a friend and we were able to enjoy 4-6 plates plus miso soup, edamame, and salad. Obviously we were hungry, and for a flat rate, it was totally worth it. Employees are friendly and service was quick; simply order from their tablet. Seattle sushi is to die for, and this place is no different. Keep in mind you'll probably have to pay for parking unless you're on foot.
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
My husband and I were SO impressed with this place. Hands down the best all-you-can-eat sushi you'll ever have. We love nigiri and most all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants do not not let you order it for lunch. Not only is this an amazing value, but the fish is so fresh! We got a couple of the special rolls as well which were delicious. Our server was very friendly. You get to order your sushi through the provided iPad and can order 15 items every 15 minutes. The sushi came out very quickly. We arrived around noon on a Friday and there was no wait. We will undoubtedly come back!

Yelp
We were super excited to see an AYCE sushi place finally open in Seattle and gave them a few weeks to work out kinks before visiting. The reviews were good and we were ready to grub. We had dinner here the other night and it definitely didn't meet our expectations. We've had much better experiences at other places. The restaurant is new, clean and service was good, but the sushi was disappointing. My biggest complaint is how much rice is used in the nigiri and aburi options. The fish to rice ratio was not it. Think a large ball of rice with a very thin slice of fish on top. The sashimi was a joke and the slices were all small and oddly shaped. The aburi sushi again had a large amount of rice with tempura in the center and a thin thin slice of salmon or tuna on top. The rolls were stuffed with lots of cucumber and avocado and basically had everything but fish. I couldn't even see the eel in my dragon roll, so it's kind of a waste. Fried items also tasted like old oil. There's a 15min plate order per round and you have to wait 15mins between orders. We had such high hopes, but the quality was pretty dismal.

Yelp
Solid 3 stars for food, but the value makes it 4 stars! Food- it's fair for 3 Rounds of ordering food . Nice variety of options. Max 2 rolls per person per round. See menu details for ordering rules. Drinks- additional cost. Ambiance- all 6 person booths/tables. *air conditioner when you enter drips. Caution if not fixed yet. Service- *recommend you maximize ordering on first round. Otherwise ordering 2nd rounds takes a while for food to come out. Parking: street parking. Value- good Recommend- if you're in the area, yes. We frequent Chinatown, so definite yes!

Yelp
Sushi % All you can eat. Modulo(%): the remainder value when 2 numbers are divided As in their business model is built off of charging people for their leftovers/remainders. As an avid AYCE go-er, I've never actually seen a place be serious about their leftover policy (barring any extreme amounts, of course. A few bites left over has always been acceptable). But this place will bring out a scale!! At least they'll give you a take out box for you to take your %s home. The food itself was pretty good for AYCE. No complaints there really. The ordering system? I bit broken I would say. You can only place an order every 15 minutes, up to 15 items. It sounds like it would work out okay, and it did pretty much for us. But let's say you only want 1 thing at a certain moment, and you order it. You, or anyone else at your table, can't order anything for another 15 minutes. The sush and rolls also took quite a while to come out, which could lead to over-ordering. The hot food came out really fast though. FYI we finished all our food, so I'm not complaining about being charged. Just about what I saw and how I think the business model is a little sussy. Ty for coming to my conspiracy theory -- I mean Ted Talk.

Yelp
Soft opening July 24 - August 1 where the premium menu is being offered at the lunch price of $23.95 all day. Afterwards, dinner (premium menu) will be $31.95. Note that during this time hours may be inconsistent. While listed at 11 AM - 9 PM during soft opening, they had to close early at 7 PM on the second day and stopped taking names for the waitlist around 5 PM. I managed to join the waitlist at 4:30 and waited about 90 minutes before checking in, granted I was walking around with friends. I think many people join the waitlist and no-show which is also causing inconsistency so try to stay close or wait inside. I was seated quickly after sitting inside even without receiving a text message. Ultimately, happy to welcome Sushi% to Chinatown, nice to have an AYCE sushi spot closer to Seattle. At the current price point, value is hard to pass up and location is fair. Chinatown parking so mainly street or paid lots. I've been missing Bluefin for years so this is a great replacement. Service is a bit slow on the rolls but other items come out at a fair pace. Fish is a solid quality, I enjoyed the salmon offerings more than the tuna but for what it's worth, the tuna did sell out. By no means expect similar quality as other sushi spots but it is AYCE and a good experience. For every adult, you can order 2 rolls per round. No listed limit on other items, but we did find that they didn't honor larger requests for sashimi. For the purposes of documenting and just sharing opinion, I'll call out my more memorable items. Lots of rolls here include tempura shrimp and the tempura can add up so I'd be alert on that. Ichi Roll - there's crawfish on top which is unique but another interesting taste was the seaweed strips. Overall, a blend of flavors (savory, salty, and sweet from sauce) alongside balance of texture (crunchiness and softness). A unique roll that I'd recommend. 168 Roll - the better seared salmon roll. Avocado and crab inside is a standard combo that add fattiness while the seared salmon is smoky and rich. Combined, these complement each other. Sear Salmon Roll - another roll with tempura shrimp inside which felt pretty heavy but the seared salmon was wonderful. I'd opt for the sister roll, the 168 Roll, that replaces the shrimp with avocado. Salmon Belly Nigiri - love salmon belly for being fattier and more tender. Paired with cuts of salmon sashimi, there's a strong balance of flavor. Recommend ordering this on the nigiri side because salmon belly is not offered for sashimi cuts. Surimi Crab Bomb - for starters, we had no idea that surimi crab was simply imitation crab. This is a simple inarizushi where imitation crab and rice are stuffed into an inari fried tofu pouch. The tofu was flavorful but I'd skip the large amount of crab salad. Sashimi - all cuts tasted up to expectations. Fairly fresh and nice quality. They are cut smaller and each order is 3 pieces. Salmon and seared salmon are always wonderful. Tuna for those who can handle the fishy taste. Escolar mackerel is a fattier level up with more of a fishy taste. Vanilla Ice Cream - pretty sure this is Costco's French Vanilla but it really hits the spot after being fairly bloated. There's always room for dessert, after all.

Yelp
Saddened to see many people were unsatisfied with the new AYCE sushi restaurant in the CID (Post Soft-Opening), but I will be sharing my experiences of when I visited during their first day of opening on July 24th. My friend and I got seated right away as there was no wait during the time we came in the afternoon of soft opening day. Our waitress was friendly and told us there was three rounds and two rolls per person/round. So technically it wasn't full-on All You Can Eat, and we'd be capped at a total of 12 rolls total for the two of us. Can't really complain though since that was more than enough between us, and we gotten pretty full after round 2. The first round of rolls we ordered was Dragon Roll, Hawaiian Roll, Philadelphia Roll, and a Salmon Maki. My favourite of the four was definitely the Hawaiian roll, great taste and texture. Dragon roll was good too, but personally the texture wasn't enjoyable for me. Philly roll was basic but I liked it too. We also got edamame for starters which was nice, but I wish they added something like salt or spices to make it pop more. We got calamari between round 1 and 2 which was pretty decent, good with the aioli sauce. I forgot what other rolls we got after the first round, but most of them were salmon and they were all okay. For the quality and price that we got, I thought it was a pretty good deal if you go during lunch. We never experienced any long waits or anything like that for day one, it was actually pretty slow during that time. But I've seen on social media they got a whole lot busier. The staff are doing their best, and so I hope they bounce back and become a community staple!

Yelp
This is the best stop in town for some all-you-can-eat sushi! Very reasonably priced and fresh, good quality fish! I especially enjoyed their hand rolls and sashimi. Everything we tried was fantastic. They also have attentive service and you place the orders on an iPad--very efficient system. Their system limits you to 15 dishes every 15 minutes which is a steady pace to not get too full too quickly. They have good amount of seating and we immediately got seated on a Sunday late afternoon. Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
The sushi here is really good. They offer a variety of rolls, and you can't beat the price. I also like that you can place an order as soon as you sit down.

Yelp
When I heard there was going to be a new AYCE sushi place opening up in Seattle, I HAD to go. Especially since with their soft opening deal being $23.95 for the premium items. But since the price will be going up to $32(?) for dinner/premium menu. I went on a Monday afternoon and still had to wait about 1-1.5 hours. I'm sure that on the weekend or at dinner time the wait is longer, so be careful considering all parking in International District is street or paid lots. For AYCE, the quality of the fish and rolls was not bad. The fish seemed more fresh than other AYCE places in the area. The pieces of fish for the sashimi and nigiri were definitely a bit on the smaller side compared to what you would expect to get at a sushi restaurant. I wish there was a bit more variety with the fish. I would SKIP any of the torched pieces. They tasted a bit odd and not very torched. The rolls were pretty good as well. There is a limit of 2 per person per round, which is actually quite a lot for AYCE. The 168 roll definitely had to be my favorite roll. The service was pleasant. The servers were very kind! Some of the items, such as all the sashimi that we ordered, took longer to bring out compared to the rolls. There was a longer wait to get food in between each round of ordering since we had to finish everything before we could order more.

Yelp
The sushi, sashimi, rolls and all the side dishes were all just made to be brought to the table that made it so much better!

Yelp
The food came out quickly and was very good. The atmosphere was quaint and family friendly. I enjoyed the food and service was quick. Quality of food for the price was on par.

Yelp
Our favorites were the sides. Sushi itself was okay. Felt like normal Asian buffet sushi, with more options. I lowkey expected a bit more quality. Sashimi pieces were very small. Rolls were decent and sides we loved!!! The garlic edamame slapped! Nice touch on all the sides .

Yelp
If you're ever experiencing one of those days that are so great that you wonder if you're dreaming, instead of pinching yourself, come here and order ACYE and get the sashimi. Wow! Woah! Is what my usual reaction is to any half decent sushi but here I scoffed. What you see in the photo is what you can get at a different restaurant, not here. At this location, think poke bowl cubes but smaller. Remember when you wanted full size candy bars after trick or treating and you only got, not even fun size, but only bite size, this feeling is worse because it's not free and your pouting face doesn't look cute anymore. Anyways, I'm a sucker for AYCE sushi so I will be back but not with a group larger than 5. Due to their combined rules of 15 order/15 minutes any group larger than this risk leaving hungry. I will definitely focus more on their rolls because they did a decent job on those. Their nigiri seemed normal but rice portions were skewed and rice was hard at times. Be sure to order the salmon belly nigiri vs the salmon if you're doing nigiri. Parking can be difficult due to the location.
