The environment is always great here, especially during sporting events! This is the place to be. Ava is really sweet and very attentive. She’s quick with the orders and may surprise you with shots. She deserves to be tipped nicely :)

Came here after a softball game with a big group and Asia was our server. She was so accommodating and sweet!!! The food and drinks were great, definitely coming back !

First time at this establishment. I must say, I enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Our waitress was on point. The wife and I were looking for a quick bite to eat before traveling out to Long Island. I had the hot wings, and the wife had the chicken sandwich. I give the wings a solid 8 out of 10, which is very good in my book. Would definitely recommend.

I frequent this place on Mondays, and Stacy is always there behind the bar with a genuine smile and flawless service. It’s a perfect compliment to the fantastic food and beverages! Best Happy Hour in Astoria!

Watched some NFL games during a long LaGuardia layover. Great atmosphere and plenty of TVs to watch your team. The wings were some of the best I’ve ever had - big, crispy and juicy. The curly French fries were also very good. Great sports bar!

This is my 2nd time here and it's always great experience. Today I had the chicken fingers and fries and our server Asia was a joy. She was prompt and attentive. Definitely coming back.

I’ve come to eat here twice and both times I’ve been unimpressed. Food was fine and atmosphere is nothing special, just a regular sports bar. Last Friday we ordered drinks with the bartender because no one came to our table and she told us we could go back to sit & she would bring us our food. After the food came, a different woman came up to us saying “next time, if you’re going to open multiple tabs you need to know you’re confusing my staff and taking seats away from our customers. You need to pick a place to sit— either the bar or the table.” We didn’t want to get our waitress in trouble but the way this woman spoke down to us was ridiculous… we only had one tab open? We were told to sit here by the waitress? And are we not also customers trying to sit? There were 5 or so booths completely open behind us… there always are because this place is never necessarily ‘packed.’ Definitely won’t be returning here again, too many better options in Astoria that actually respect their customers.

Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the gang after softball. Asia was a great waitress. Super attentive and made sure we had a great experience!

Could not stop thinking of the wings I had last week. I am a wing person and week 2 NFLI decided I needed more wings. These are gigantic and the best wings I have had in NYC.. Had dry dub this time and parmesan garlic. Last time they had the dry rub with hot honey added. These only type of wings I have had which are better are slow smoked in a Texas BBQ pit and then deep fried. I would put them up against any wings in the 5 boroughs. My date had the steak quesadilla and they cook the meat the way you specify. Aba or Ava was our waitress and she was so cool friendly. The lady from last time recognized us too, my gf said her name is Jamie. She is super sweet, and everything she said would be very good surpassed expectation. so glad we found this place! We didn't order alcohol. sometimes servers might feel like "oh my check will be less" but they were optimistic the whole time. Highly recommend wings, burgers and steak quesadillas. This will be our sports watching spot this season.

Swung by in a rainy Saturday afternoon for brunch. It was pretty chill with only one other guest at the time (roughly between 1:30-2:00P). Fast and friendly seating and service by Tina (I think that was her name she was super sweet). The 3 stars are for the friendly & fast service, but the food or at least the dish I ordered was not the greatest. I ordered the cast iron egg skillet and sub'ed the bacon for eggs. The dish came out extremely oily to a point I could not taste the ingredients in it. My hunny's blueberry pancakes and sausage were much better. I'd come back to try other brunch items and other menus there as well.

lots of tv for sports! The apps were great and service was nice too. i enjoyed the wings and nachos. the ambiance is awesome plenty of seating everywhere too max it is well lit. literally televisions surround the perimeter so lots of sports and good viewing experience

Surprisingly nice sports barI came back here to double-check if anything changed. I really enjoyed my double-loaded burger and lemonade. I was treated like a king and watched my premier league game on many TVs. This sports bar is well-run and remarkably friendly. One of the best spots in Astoria to watch a big game! Most frequently visit Sweet Spot for Football Sunday but its truly a great venue for all sporting events. They have TVs galore and show any and every game you could possibly want. The bar service is typically very quick and accommodating. Food also comes out very fast especially for items like burgers, wraps, and wings. Their Jack Daniels Burger is one of my favorites in addition to the Santa Fe Wrap. Fries wise they offer a plethora of options including regular, curly, waffle, and sweet potato. Definitely consider Sweet Spot for your next viewing party!

More like 3.75. Solid bar food, fun ambience, good service, just very expensive for what it is. Loved the wings. Had the Thai chili ones and the Jack Daniels BBQ ones. So good. The mozzarella sticks and chicken quesadilla were fine, as expected for bar food. Sweet potato tots were good too. Get a sauce on the side with them. Cocktails are very expensive. They do have happy hour until 7, but regular prices are $16 for an old fashioned. That's...pricy. Overall I enjoyed Sweet Spot. Wallet did not.

My friends and I love visiting this spot when in town! They have cheap beer towers, great frozen drinks, and yummy fries! The atmosphere is neat and they have sports games on, so it's a perfect spot to slip into to catch a game. I enjoyed a frozen drink while there in the summer but I also recommend the fig Moscow mule in the winter. Absolutely delicious.

Absolutely amazing place with amazing staff. Thank you to Johnny and Chris for making our experience so great. If you want a friendly, welcoming experience, come here! Johnny was making us specialized drinks all night. We just told him what we were in the mood for and he would make a great drink for us. The food is typical bar food but it is great! Highly recommend the wings and burgers. Wonderful spot that you need to stop by, especially to meet Johnny and Chris!

I had an extremely disappointing visit to Sweet spot . The manager's attitude was shockingly rude, and the server's behavior throughout was unpleasant. Not only did they lack basic courtesy, but the drinks served were disappointingly weak. On top of that, the food arrived cold. The overall experience was below par due to the poor service and disrespectful attitude from the staff. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience.

Sweet Spot has a cute outdoor dining setup. The tables are spread out enough so you won't feel like you're sitting too close to other people. It's a great location for anyone looking to watch a game while enjoying good food and drinks. I'm not sure how crowded it gets on the weekends; I went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't packed. My friend & I ordered Curly Fries, Truffle Fries, Boneless & Bone-In Honey BBQ Wings, and Fish Tacos. I can't complain about a thing the food was good especially the wings. Our waitress Ali, was attentive, friendly, and had good suggestions of drinks to order.

Sat at the bar inside for a party of two. The outdoor area was packed by 5pm on a Friday. I ordered the Jack Daniels burger. It was flavorful and juicy. The bacon was cooked with the perfect crunch. I replaced the fries with a side salad (subpar salad but hey). Since we were at the bar, the service was quick and attentive!

This place is just okay, went there before, they wanted $75 a piece just for entry for Super Bowl, like $75 just for the pleasure of being there, nothing else, lol that's wild

This is the best sports bar in Astoria. The burgers are tasty AF, and the drinks are stiff. There are more TVs than anyone could ever need, but the staff is why we keep coming back. Johnny, Christian, Maria and the whole crew make us feel like family when we're here. You can't go wrong with the Sweet Spot. (I miss the OTB, though)

LOCATION This bar is a cool spot located on ditmars right off the N line. Its located in a great location easy accessible to get to. FOOD This spot has great food even though I'm not a fan of the crowd who comes here. The food here is very solid. They have great buffalo wings, tacos, and a variety of other food items i enjoy. STAFF Depending on what day you come you got servers better then other but for the most part the service here is decent. Sometime it can be slow and hit or miss but for the most part if you play the bar you're good money. This place is great for sports. They have a great selection of tv's and they always play majority of boxing and ufc fights. They usually charge a 20 dollar cover charge with a one drink minimum which is cool. The crowd that comes here is the basic yuppie crowd and people who think there better then the world. I come here once in a while cause i so enjoy the food for the most part. Overall this bar is cool with multiple different bars within distance.

Limited parking in the area. You may have to drive around for a while. You also may have to pay for the meter until 7 P.M. Happy Hour is available, but not many mixed drink choices to choose from. Booths aren't available for a party of two. You will have to sit at the high tables. The staff is friendly, and attentive. The food is pretty good. It can get crowded quickly. Best for an afterwork spot with co- workers, and or friends.

Went here yesterday for the first time based off the recommendation of a friend. I had a good time, food was good, drinks were ok. Our server Matina was great. I will go back.

Came here for beers during football Sunday with some friends. I haven't tried the food, however, they have a great selection of beers. The bartenders are really nice. The place wasn't packed when we were there. This place is huge. There is a front room, back room, and a downstairs area. There are a ton of tvs to watch the game and plenty of tables to eat at. I would definitely come back again and try the food

Tried Sweet Spot for the first time for brunch. Food was decent (my friend and I both ordered the steak and egg burrito) and the frozen pink lemonade was strong and not terribly sweet, which was a great surprise. The vibe was good, several college football games on and also a Premiere League match - sport everywhere you looked, they even have TVs in the bathrooms, so you never miss a play. Would probably come for the drinks and the sports more than the food, but I'd go back for sure.

Sweet spot is the best place to grab a drink some good bar food and watch a game! They have at least 25 TVs, I'm not joking. The staff is super friendly and accommodating as well. The other day I went I asked to put on the Yankees and Mets game and within seconds there they were ! In perfect view for me to see both. I really like the crunchy chicken quesadilla they have on the menu. It's super tasty!! Also the boneless wings are pretty decent. I usually stick with a tap beer and it's a plus that they offer pitchers too. For people who are still against sitting inside due to covid, they actually built a beautiful outdoor seating with TVs !! It's a little noisy because it's directly underneath the train but it does the job! Sweet spot is an awesome spot :)

My husband and I love this place. The service is excellent and we're always welcomed with a warm smile. Our regular drink order is brought to us shortly after we sit and we usually opt for the crispy chicken sandwich or their killer steak. We're so glad they're open again (after COVID) so do yourself a favor and check them out. Cheers! - Kristen and Mike

4 stars may be a little too generous, but 3 felt like too little. My friends and I came here for dinner and few drinks since we were in the area. The food was good, and the vibe was laid back. Our waitresses were also very friendly as well. Jack Daniels Burger: 4/5, as I expected this burger was pretty good. A bit more on the greasy side but hey, it was pretty delicious. The fries were ok, they were like frozen McDonalds fries. I'd get the burger again, but probably opt for a side salad instead next time. The first beer I got was flat, probably because it's not one that many people order often but that kind of sucked (I still drank it) and got something different after which was fine. The prices were a little on the higher end ($15 burgers & sandwiches) but overall I'd definitely come back if I was in the mood for pub type food and in the area.

We came here for championship Sunday. Everything was fine. Waitress didn't speak English. Which is fine until they didn't honor deal. After game one they had some sought of policy that you aren't allowed to stay at your table. Even though my friend went up to hostess and she said we can stay where we are because we spent 300 on the first game. I am born and raised in Astoria and was never treated that way in a place in this neighborhood. The bouncer came up to us and didn't even let us explain and was extremely rude. Always check your bill here because they try to sneak purchases on you as they did to us today **update - owner contacted me saying that we rudely ignored the instructions they told us yet we went up to the hostess and she told my friend "Don't worry you can stay right where you are after the game" so when owner or manager came up to us and FLAT OUT LIED. And my friend went up to hostess and explained himself. They told him learn how to speak English in a demoralizing and racist connotation. I never been so disrespected at an establishment in my life and I lived in the Ditmars area for 36 years And as you see by my past reviews. I'm not in the business of bashing places unless they were as awful as this place and unprofessional as owner was

Continuing my tour of Astoria happy hours with kids, sweet spot was good. We ordered Sam Adams seasonal, flavored Smirnoff with soda, boneless wings, chicken quesadilla and a buffalo chicken sandwich. The place was not busy at all. Service was fine. I really liked my quesadilla. My husband didn't care for his sandwich. They tried to charge me $3 too much for each of my smirnoffs but she quickly and easily fixed it. They added automatic 20% gratuity but we were not a large party. That's fine since that's a normal tip but I was a little annoyed that it was automatic for no apparent reason all in all everything was fine.

How is this place still open? There are so many better places. Bad management, bad services. Is something happening on the side I don't know about? Brothel? I don't get it.

We stopped by the Sweet Spot for drinks this past Friday night. Just note that due to Covid, you do need to order food. Don't worry, they have a short menu (aside from their bigger menu) of all food for under $5. They had the baseball games on and even though we were in Mets territory, Pri was awesome and put the Yankees on too! He also gave us a free round of shots - such a nice guy!!! Stop by this sports bar for a good time!!

i've been coming into Sweet Spot for a few years now, and often with friends. I've always enjoyed the service, drinks, food. Had a bit of an unfortunate experience tonight. I was with two friends, had a couple of drinks and light food. I was very surprised to see that a 20% service charge was added to the bill and when we split the bill using credit cards, each of us was charged a $6.34 credit card fee. What? I worked many years in the service industry, and we would never auto service charge such a small group. When I respectfully approached the server about the service charge and the credit card fees, she got very defensive and basically told me it wasn't her problem. I reminded her that the menu specifically says service charge will be added for parties of four or more. We were only three people. She mentioned something very vague about the amount of our bill. Our bill was not large. At all. Uggggh. Oh well, lots of other spots in Astoria. 2 stars because we were having a good enough time until the bill came!

Giving 2 stars only because the chef did his job. The server on the other hand tried fu$@ing us over by not giving us a detailed receipt to avoid us catching that they did an auto gratuity on a 4 person bill. After going back to ask for a detailed receipt i was told i couldn't take it and that they'd need it back. Basically hiding the fact you auto grated in hopes we would double tip you. Honey, this is New York City, you tried screwing over 4 servers. We know the game. Learn to play it correctly. The food definitely hit the spot, us almost getting fuc&ed into a double tip, did not hit the sweet spot.

This really couldn't be more of my kind of spot. I'm obsessed with the bar scene for starters. They have a lot of domestic beers on tap (bud light being my favorite.) the menu was to die for including absolutely delicious wings with about 10 different sauces to choose from. I would recommend mixing the hot Buffalo with the parmigian garlic. The burgers are delicious as well and have many different combinations to order from. I went with a classic single with cheese and their special sauce. I seriously couldn't recommend this place enough. If you want a great burger, some wings, and want a great place to watch a game, Sweet Spot will absolutely not disappoint.

A gem during a snow day Lovely environment great atmosphere even better staff. I normally feel out of place in a sports bar but Matina made the whole experience great. And the jack Daniels burger best thing ever. Drinks are super cool had two margaritas. Televisions are well placed.

A nice idea of a sports bar in Queens. Sweet Spot boasts to my eye at least 25 TVs and the have the nfl league pass option. The food and drinks are on the more expensive side. I had an order of wings and a couple of cocktails walking around Sweet Spot they have locations for private events which seems interesting for sports theme parties

I came here for a fight and we had a good time. This place is huge and its in a quieter part of Astoria. I found parking right away. The place was huge with an upper level and lower level. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was nice and the food was good too. The vibes were really good in this place and I heard they have a dj too on certain nights. Give this place a shot for a chill night out.

I've been to Sweet Spot multiple times in the past..always a delightful experience but only came to have drinks. Saturday I returned and sat down to have food and drinks. Being that is was the Final Four weekend, the place got crowded quickly to watch the games on their very many big screen TVs. For drinks we had our usual Coors Light on tap  which were cold and refreshing. I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese off of the small plates menu which actually isn't small at all. It was soo tasty and it had really big chunks of lobster.  It comes out sizzling on a skillet so be careful you don't burn yourself! My boyfriend had the Sweet Spot burger with fries which was hugeee and overflowing with pulled pork. I can say that he enjoyed himself very much and ate everything on his plate. Everywhere you look there are flat screen TVs so even at times when it's packed to capacity, you are still able to see everything clearly. Sweet spot is definitely a big spot and has a separate place in the back away from the bar that is a lot more quiet and less congested. They even have a party room downstairs that looks very spacious, good enough for private events.  Our waitress was soo sweet and very consistent with her service, always kept our glasses full!. I never once had an issue at Sweet Spot and really enjoy myself here, I look forward to coming again!

Passed by here several times as it's right outside the N/W train station. Decided to give it a try during Labor Day. It wasn't packed but it wasn't empty either. The long bar was almost all full and then there were a few tables occupied. They had sports playing on the millions of TVs. Literally, MILLIONS of TVs lol. There's TV along the bar wall, there's TV along the table wall, there's even TV in the bathroom! Talk about not missing a second of the game! The Tennessee vs Georgia Tech college football game was on and so was the US Open, alternating TVs. The bartender, John, is absolutely the best. He will go above and beyond for all his customers. We asked him if it's okay to change one of the TVs (the one we were sitting right in front of) to the UT football game and he didn't have any complaints doing it. I ordered a blue moon and it tasted like orange soda, just didn't taste right. Told John about it and he swapped it out with a different beer, no complaints there either. Found out later on that evening, the guy in the back had put the hard cider keg where the blue moon tap was. Other customers were giving him a hard time but he handled them well. Some customer asked for the Boston game to be played on the TV. I don't think the bar had that channel that the game was playing on so he apologized for the inconvenience and offered him a free beer to try to get him to stay. He ended up leaving anyway. Some other customer kept asking if he could play a specific song he wanted to hear. He said that the audio was done by Pandora so he wouldn't be able to play a specific song. Like what's wrong with some of these customers? Smh. And by the way, the music playing was awesome. As we were attentively watching the football game, when it got closer to midnight John turned off Pandora and let us watch the TV with sound. It was amazing!! I've been having such a hard time trying to find a good sports bar in Astoria because most places are just pubs and/or places to relax and talk. Sometimes we just want a bar, yell at a TV, and have a good time! We also ordered chicken wings, 10 pcs. John let us pick 2 toppings because I don't like spicy but my boyfriend does. We ordered half hot and half garlic parmesan. I wouldn't say it was amazing but it was a decent. Would definitely come back again!

Saturday night- UFC fight night. Pretty good bar- very very large space. Main level has large flat screens everywhere. Main bar well lit with lots of beer on tap. Seating to accommodate large groups( U shape tables) and 2-4 person tables. Back and up small ramp there's an extension of main room or could be a private party room. Bathrooms -down the blue lit steps- nice though I could do without the bathroom attendant. Another private room downstairs. After the fight- music..... Going old SKOOL right now.... Not sure if Astoria is ready for it, but they're hanging so far...... Would come back- will come back. Apps- had steak quesadilla ... Not bad. Really light and small in size. And the fries were yummy and OD on salt. Great end to a night. Street parking and subway close by. Don't drink and drive!!!!!

This is my first Yelp review but I felt tonight was so absurdly awful that I had to say something. My friends and I got there at 2pm to grab a table and watch the games all night. Our server was great, we were having a great time and before the first game ended, the server explained that there was a shift change and we have to close out our tab. Before we got our check, I walked to the front and asked the hostess if we could just stay at our table for the second game. She said it was not a problem at all and joked that it makes things easier. We paid our check and ordered another round of drinks from the new server. As the second game was about to begin, the bouncers walked over and told us we had to get up and wait on line to get a new table. We explained that we had spoken to the hostess and they went to talk to her. They then explained that this is bar policy and we have to leave and wait on line for another table. Despite the fact they agreed that this was ridiculous, they told us we had to leave. When I approached the hostess, before I said a word, she started yelling: "YOU MISUNDERSTOOD WHAT I TOLD YOU AND THIS IS BAR POLICY". As I tried to speak to her, she just kept yelling 'YOU NEED TO LEARN ENGLISH' in broken English, even though I was born and raised in NY. To attack the customers, after spending money, and scream in my face before I said a word then insult me as I leave is pathetic. It's no wonder no one goes here and why no one should. ***Update: The owner now saying we harassed the hostess is typical. This is why they have a 3 out of 5 rating on Yelp despite 250+ reviews. Again attacking customers as an owner even though I was berated to 'LEARN HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH' by the hostess. The other ratings for this place with similar stories tell it all.

Always a great time and experience every time I come here. Perfect place to spend your football Sundays. There's a TV everywhere you turn and the wings are incredible. Special thanks to Matina for taking such great care of us, her service was top notch.

Love this bar. Harry and George are two of the nicest guys that I know. Always greet me with a big hug. Maria and Matina are awesome waitresses. The food is great. You won't be disappointed

Came for brunch to discover that they don't do brunch on Sundays during football season. Instead we got lunch, and it was very good. We started with the Jack Daniels wings which were quite good, and we tried the lobster mac and cheese and I got a burger with sweet potato tots. The tots were excellent. The lobster mac and cheese was really good, but the lobster in it was only decent. We also tried a couple of cocktails, which were both excellent. We had the Sweet Spot cocktail and I got their signature Paloma. Both great

Love this place! It really is a sweet spot! I come here every once in a while and it's always clean, foods always great, atmosphere is always lively. Tvs everywhere, tons of tap beer and liquor options- manager John is hilarious, friendly and accommodating. Harry is aiite too. One night I had a surprise party downstairs for my grandmas birthday. We had the whole room to ourselves, more food than we knew what to do with, got to play our own music... my entire family (ages 13-80) kept thanking me for booking this spot! The whole team was great, bussers, waitress... they moved food and components in and out without being noticed, John checked on us himself, it's always a great experience. I'd absolutely recommend this place for nearly any occasion and any size group.

The Sweet Spot is an average, standard sports bar. Lots of TVs around the place, a pretty decent interior setup and average beer selection. The servers in little cocktail dresses/ "sexy" outfits is a played out trope, and entirely unnecessary in my opinion. We were only there for drinks so I cannot speak to the food at all, but the drinks menu had an interesting item. In red print the drink menu states "Upcharge on neat, rocks & cocktails". Our waitress explained to us that she thought the above prices were for shots only, however: 1. who in their right mind would do a SHOT of Macallan 18? and 2. is the charge different depending on the type of glass used? It really made no sense, and seemed to belong more in a cheap restaurant where you're about to see a bunch of "miscellaneous" fees to bump up the bill. Overall, a decent enough place, but nothing special or out of the ordinary.

Yummy chili! Ordered it off the appetizer menu as my meal and it was very good! The waitress was very kind and the atmosphere was great for a football game, but if you want an intimate setting this isn't the place.

The food is "Okay" not fantastic, but the bartenders obviously are not trained and do not know the difference between water and seltzer.. honestly who can't tell that seltzer has bubbles? The drinks are terrible, DO NOT get the sangria, it taste like a bad combination of apple pucker and peach schnapps. The service wasn't terrible. As a fellow person in the industry who has waitressed and bartenders for the past 20 years, I try not to complain, but it's hard when the drinks are this bad. I offered my drink to the bartender who agreed he wouldn't drink it either. If you want good drinks and food, go somewhere else. This is a money pit, they don't care about your satisfaction. I promise you'll leave unhappy. Also, if you drank anywhere else, they'll treat you like the corona virus! Find somewhere else who wants your business.

I used to live in Astoria and we would alwayssss order from here ! Also such a fun spot to go to at night. All of their food is really yum, but what you MUSTTTTT get are the wings. Ask for Garlic Parmesan, buffalo and the blue cheese sauce. Wow wow, wings are tender and not too crazy saucy (if you're into something not being drenched). We came all the way from the Bronx to pick up their wings and they killed it.

Free WiFi according to Yelp, no WiFi. Service is not service, it's more attitude. Tables & chairs are dirty & you clean it yourself. Sad.

Service is fine but the patrons are terrible and the service staff side with them. My friend and I did nothing to interrupt service or cause any disruption but two men yelled at us and the staff didn't have our backs at all.

I just went to sweet spot a couple of hours ago. I will never again..it's so overpriced! Food tasted mediocre at best, drinks were very watered down barely any alcohol in them. On top all that, service was very slow and clumsy. Waitress dropped our water on the floor

Went there last night for the first time and absolutely LOVED IT!!! The ambience was great, lights, seating arrangements, music-- food, even though I didn't order any, still looked amazing! Drinks are out of this world. Met the bartender / manager last night, great guy and knows that he's doing when it comes to concoctions! Warning his mojitos are delicious and deadly! Loved all the different mixed drinks I had and I am definitely looking forward to coming back next weekend!
