"Boka Restaurant Group’s exquisite meat palace wows diners with compelling versions of Caesar salad, steak tartare, and other steakhouse staples. For dessert, a chocolate trolley filled with cakes, cookies, candies, and more is wheeled around the dining room. There’s a sibling location across from Wrigley Field with a scaled-back menu." - Ashok Selvam
"For a long time, the West Loop was missing a steakhouse. But then along came Swift & Sons to fill that void. It has everything we like about a traditional steakhouse—meaning great food, service, and a rolling dessert cart. It’s a great combination, and it’s one of the most reliable steakhouses in the city." - sam faye, adrian kane, veda kilaru, nick allen

"Fulton Market used to be the center of Chicago’s meatpacking industry, so it’s fitting for a steakhouse like Swift & Sons to open there. The restaurant has multiple dining areas, making it appropriate for date nights or watching the game at the bar with a juicy Japanese wagyu strip loin to cushion the blow of another Bears loss. The warehouse space has been updated since its days as a Cold Storage facility, but Swift & Sons still has classic touches like drink and dessert carts. Take advantage of both. "Swift & Sons is a good special occasion option when no one can agree on the best place to have Janice’s farewell meal before she goes on her 28-day “yoga retreat.” It’s a great steakhouse, and there’s plenty of seafood and vegetable options on the menu, too. If you want to hang out somewhere a bit more casual, just eat in the large bar area. Whatever you do, just make sure to order something sweet off the chocolate trolley before you leave, and once you do leave, it’s probably best to call Janice a Lyft." - adrian kane
