Taco Primo

Our server Gwen helped us find the best Burritos that I have had in a very long time! We tried the Jackfruit Vegetarian option - ask them to add Tater Tots instead of Rice and ooh. That made all the difference. We had Guac and Chips which were good as well. Will definitely be going back to get more recommendations and try more food. Thanks for the recs!

The jackfruit burrito was absolutely bursting with flavor, I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it! I asked for tots instead of rice and I got medium salsa. The chips and guac is also delicious. And the cashier was a delight! 10/10 recommend!

I appreciate the jackfruit vegetarian option as it’s unique and delicious as both tacos or burrito. The salsas are all good, the hot being 🔥 if you enjoy. Recently, the bean and cheese burrito plus a number of modifications has been the go to move. There are a number of favorite Mexican taquerias around SF but TP has climbed the ranks for me this year..

We love Taco Primo and are so grateful this came to Pac Heights! Their food is fresh, I always get their salad — the dressing is amazing and the tortilla strips are plentiful, it's super balanced. Their prices are also amazing and the service is super quick. We've started going to The Snug more often now that you can order Taco Primo to the restaurant. We also get their takeout all the time. No notes!

I had the best Mexican food ever here! The chicken bowl I had delivered from here was awesome! I highly recommend people try this place at least once and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I wish I can give this place 10 stars ⭐️! I can see myself ordering from here again sometime soon.

We ordered 4 primo tacos and just got home to find out we were charged for Rimo and they gave us regular. We feel cheated and disappointed. Not going back.

I was in the area and my partner wanted tacos, so I spotted this place and thought we'd give it a try! We're now big fans and will be back! The restaurant has a nice laidback vibe and long bar. We adore the turtle mascot printed on the menu and parchment paper. We got the chips and tried one taco each. (We opted out of the primo as we're trying to be more health conscious). The chips were well fried and salted nice and evenly. The tacos - wow the tortilla was delicious and the meats and the one vegan jackfruit were tender and flavorful. It did take a long time to receive our tacos after the chips came out pretty quickly and a while to find a server for the check, so maybe not the best place if you're in a hurry. There was a loft area with a birthday celebration - seems like it'd be a great place for a private party.

I had a great early dinner at Taco Primo at The Snug. The salsa, guac and chips were a perfect starter - the salsas stepped up in heat levels really well - and I couldn't believe the refried black beans were vegan because they were so rich in depth of flavor. I forgot to take a photo of the tacos, but I got the al pastor and the brisket...loved them both. Good complimentary flavors and textures and I like the option of doing flour tortillas. Brought home a chicken burrito and my girlfriend crushed it before I could get a bite. We'll be back for sure

Some of the best tacos I ever had. I ordered the Al Pastor and the brisket tacos. Be sure to order it primo style. The chips with salsa and guoc were good and the guoc was full of flavor. Lastly we had to get the churro cookies. And you can't beat the price. True value and in San Francisco that is hard to come by. Can't wait to see them at thrive city at the chase arena.

My friends and I were walking down Fillmore and stopped here for a quick snack. Portions were shareable for small portions and every dish was extremely affordable. We sat a sunny corner table at the bar next door (The Snug) and service staff was super friendly! Food was good and would stop by again for an afternoon snack/drink.

SF burritos have been hit or miss for me, but this place got the job done. Burritos aren't fat like a mission style burrito, but still a decent size nonetheless. They don't have carne asada. The only beef option is suadero, which to me is like a beef version of carnitas. I definitely recommend a suadero burrito here "Primo Style" which is essentially just a super burrito lol Also, the hot habanero crema is FIRE. 8.4/10

These tacos are hellaaaa primo!!! So good, I loved the suadero, actually reminds me Mexico City tacos. I love that this place is in the back of my favorite bar the snug. I love this place. Can't wait to come back

Flavors are quite flat. Very clear the lack of authentic influence. I know it's "Cali-Mex" so as a Mexican person I had to set lower expectations. I got the jackfruit burrito and it was fine. They seem to pride themselves on their seasoning, but it definitely needs more of it. Usually salsas help pick up some slack and these ones were all disappointing. I try all the salsas from everywhere I go to get a good idea and most of the time I like at least 2/3 options. This time it was none. The red one was like "elevated" tomato paste, the green one was very mild and flat, the habanero one tasted like straight up apple cider vinegar and no actual heat despite being labeled as "hot hot." The guacamole tasted mostly of lime, but I know some people want that. None of this is surprising based off where it is and the clear intended audience. Having a vegetarian option is nice, but it is quite lacking. I would think the meat options are actually much more flavorful. My positives are: decent portion for the burrito and very good freshly made tortilla chips.

Amazing food with so many options, at a great price. I loved the suadero but you can't go wrong with anything you choose. I can't wait to go back to Taco Primo!

I tried the chicken burrito and jack fruit taco. I thought both were excellent. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly (personally, I hate dry, overcooked meat) and all of the other ingredients that came with the burrito were fresh, seasoned well, and incredibly tasty. It was the perfect size and not the slightest bit greasy. The biggest surprise for me was the jack fruit taco. I've never had jack fruit before, but I am certainly a fan now. It was absolutely delicious, with a perfect consistency and flavor. Two of these generously sized tacos would be a more than satisfying meal, especially for those of us who are cost conscious! If you're looking for a fresh, delicious, incredibly reasonably priced meal, then I would highly recommend that you try Taco Primo.

Food and service were amazing. Cant stop thinking about the Al pastor tacos and habanero hot sauce. Churro cookies were an absolute delight as well. Definitely will be coming back!
