Taco Primo - Review - Pacific Heights - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Pacific Heights isn’t exactly overflowing with burrito options, so Taco Primo is a welcome addition. The Mexican restaurant operating out of The Snug has a tight menu of bowls, salads, tacos, and burritos. The pudgy tortillas (by La Palma) are excellent in taco form with the salty-sweet al pastor with bits of pineapple. Another path to success: anything involving the saucy suadero. Posting up and dining in at The Snug is a great move, as is taking advantage of the efficient takeout operation. Food Rundown Tacos We’re big fans of the tortillas from La Palma, so it’s no surprise that these tacos are a hit. These are best with the al pastor or suadero, and a healthy dollop of salsa. Burritos Take your pick from chicken, al pastor, suadero, or jackfruit, and get it “primo”—with sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. It’s a satisfying combination. Salads Fine, but mostly tastes like romaine. We’d go for a bowl or tacos over this. Chips Thick, thoroughly salted, and snappy. These are a great addition to any meal here, but you’ll have to pay extra." - Julia Chen
