Restaurant Closures in Seattle for June, 2025 | Eater Seattle

"A quick-service taco spot in Seattle has closed and the owners are converting the space into a commissary kitchen. They cited persistent challenges with parking, staff safety, and rising costs as reasons the location was unsustainable, though they continue to operate an outpost in Pierce County and plan a new restaurant in Tacoma; the Seattle site will be available for private events and catering." - Harry Cheadle

Waterfront tacos, aguas frescas, and the over-the-top agua loca have earned TV love from KING 5 Evening. Locally owned and event-forward, it’s a fun stop after a stroll along the Point Ruston esplanade.

Food was tasty and amazing, atmosphere is cute. Service was great but the food took a bit longer than expected, also was not extremely warm when I got, for that reason I remove 1 star from service. Other than that, food was incredible and it is really hard to find good Mexican food in WA.

Google
Being used to the real deal Mexican food, I went here with high hopes and high standards. Most Mexican food here in WA is disappointing if you've ever lived in a border state or frequented Mexico, or both. After looking at reviews, I decided (on my Birthday) to check them out. My family came and we ordered the following: California Burrito, Carne Nachos, Street Tacos, Birria Tacos, Salsa, Churros and I also got a Cadillac Margarita, you know... because it was my birthday! I loved everything I tried as I grabbed a nibble of just about everything my family ordered to see what it was about. The meat was so tender, plenty of juice, and massive flavor! The birria tacos is what I ordered and holy mother, you'll need to use the restroom around the corner to wash your hands because WOW! JUICY, AMAZING. It also came with a consumé sauce (I probably murdered the spelling of that), that was so delicious 😋. I'll be coming back here over and over again. The customer service was amazing, I even got the Churros free as they found out it was my birthday, they were super friendly. Also, the sauce bar was super clean with lots of options, they were all so fantastic. Tie all of this in with the amazing scenery and yeah, it's a new favorite with all of my family on board! THANKS TACO STREET!!! YOU ROCK!!!

Google
Wedding catering: Taco Street catered my wedding and I can't say enough good things! Everyone said it was the best food they'd had at a wedding. The drink cart was a really fun addition and they went above and beyond with table displays, menus and decor. I particularly loved the fruit platter and churros, while my husband loved the al pastor tacos and the cocktails they created for us! Lunch catering: I picked up the 25 same-day taco platter for a work potluck and it was a huge hit. It was ready very quickly and came with onions, cilantro, 3 salsas and rice and beans. You were able to pick 2 meats. Everyone was talking about how good they were!

Google
Taco Street is hands-down my favorite taco spot in the Tacoma area! The food is consistently amazing. It’s fresh, flavorful, and packed with personality. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible service, especially from Chris. Chris is the kind of employee every business dreams of having: kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, Chris makes you feel welcome and taken care of. His positive energy and thoughtful recommendations elevate the whole experience. And let’s talk about Taco Tuesday. It’s easily the best deal in town! Delicious tacos at unbeatable prices, all served with a smile. If you’re craving great food and even better vibes, Taco Street is the place to be. Huge shoutout to Chris for making every visit feel special!

Google
Daughter and I wanted a quick snack. They didn’t disappoint. From the cheap price to amount of food, we couldn’t complain. We shared the street taco plate with Carne Asada. It included 4 tacos and rice/beans and a drink. We substituted the beans for extra rice. There is also a small salsa bar with various salsas, limes, pickled onions and cucumbers. Overall the quality and flavor were excellent. Definitely good quality and quantity for the price paid. I downgraded the “atmosphere” because they are located in the middle of a shopping area and there is a possibility of random people walking by, gawking at your food. Not the business’ fault. But something to consider.

Google
Great spot to eat before or after walking the waterfront or a movie. I absolutely love the queso barbacoa tacos. I also had an Aqua Fresca.

Google
Came in order 25 tacos and some chips and salsa. They delivered on time! And great quality. Great family vibes and awesome aesthetics. Great spot for Tacoma/Lakewood area!

Google
Best breakfast burrito I've had in a while. Price was good. They have real Coke in bottles from Mexico. Sat outside on a picture perfect day. Service was prompt and efficient. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Carne asada fries were such a hit and the California burrito was amazing. Such nice service and not expensive for how much you're getting.

Yelp
Riding the trails and just happened upon this place. Absolutely amazing. Our group had the chicken quesadilla, Carne Asada tacos, Chicken Tacos, Barbacoa tacos and chips with quac, queso & salasa. Everything was absolutely amazing, service was excellent. Stop by, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
For a fast-casual taco joint, this place is wonderful! I love that they have many different flavors of agua frescas, which rotate seasonally. The mango and watermelon are my personal favs. As vegetarians we appreciate the many taco options from potato to fresh grilled veggies plus burritos and other choices. The veggies they use in the taco are of high quality and cooked perfectly. The tortillas are delicious and grilled soft with a little crisp. Their salsa bar is soooo good. They have four different types from mild greens to super spicy reds. With other items like fresh limes, pickled veggies etc. The salsa that comes with the tortilla chips is very fresh and tasty. Lots of seating both inside and out! They give you a buzzer to know when your food is ready, so it's easy and convenient. It's a great place to have a quick, casual, and satisfying meal.

Yelp
The customer service was as expected. We've been here while busy and not busy. Both times the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I didn't order tacos but I like to see the option to order single tacos on the menu. Not the best price wise but we left satisfied with the flavors. Great seating area and have not yet had any issues finding a place to sit. We ordered: Carne asada fries 4/5 Good flavors. Regular nachos 4/5 Wish there was a little more cheese. Good flavors. Has a lot of onions so I'd that's not your cup of tea you won't like it. Horchata 5/5 As expected.

Yelp
The taco meat itself could use some more marinating and seasoning but the salsa bar is AMAZING!!! Maybe I'm easy to please coming from Seattle where they nickel and dime you for everything but I was so surprised by the generous open bar of pickled onions, limes, and salsa. The avocado salsa was SOOO GOOD that I was literally taking shots of it by its own. It went SO WELL with the al pastor tacos and their combo lunch deal is a great value! This place is kind of tucked in by the market building and it is kind of difficult to get to unless you've directly parked in front of the market and not the garage for Point Ruston. I ended up getting two al pastor tacos which filled me up but the avocado salsa was so good that I wished I got more tacos so that I could spread it over everything haha.

Yelp
Grabbed a carnitas burrito to go last summer and enjoyed it. Nothing fancy though the meat was plentiful and the cheese added a bit of umami. Filling for its size though I missed a bit of veggies. They offer vegetarian options and also do catering. This restaurant is a stand inside the Ruston Waterfront Market, featuring an array of Mexican favorites--tacos, burritos, chilaquiles, nachos, elotes, quesadillas and churros. They also offer a variety of agua flavors--fresca, limón, melón, mango, piña, jamaica, tamarind, pepino, and horchata. Order at the counter and eat at one of the tables in the shared eating area. Bathrooms are also shared with the rest of the market. Plenty of parking outside in the lot directly outside. On a Friday afternoon around 2pm it wasn't very busy, maybe a handful of tables and an on-and-off stream of customers.

Yelp
We really make it a priority to go to Taco Street whenever we are going to be in Ruston. We love the freshly made food, salsas, agua frescas, etc. You order at the counter and pick up your own food and find your own table but there is usually seating open inside or outside. They serve beers which is nice to go with your food and their agua fresca and horchatas are so refreshing and flavorful. They have a great condiment bar and their orange salsa is my favorite ever! This food is not cheap so expect to spend $40+ on the items in the review. We recommend this place next time you're at Point Ruston!

Yelp
Authentic and full of flavor! My friend and I were walking around Point Ruston and were debating between pizza and tacos. I am glad our stomachs led us to tacos. I ordered the combination plate of tacos al pastor with a side of rice and beans that also comes with a drink. The tacos already come with onion and cilantro (green flag). They have a great salsa bar with four salsas varying from green to red, pickled jalapeños and onions, cucumber, and limes. Lots of indoor seating with a lot of space. The staff were inviting and prompt with taking our order, and the food came out hot and fresh. Great tasting food for a great price.

Yelp
This is our go-to place for Tacoma Taco Tuesday. Dining in or taking to-go are both great options. If you dine in during colder months, bring a jacket. The dining area can get drafty! They have added some ceiling heaters that take the edge off. The non-alcoholic agua frescas are impressive and amazing. My favorite taco is the California- always a sucker for fresh avocado. Definitely try their salsas and pickled onion/jalapeño bar!

Yelp
Stopped in to the Ruston Point Market and visited Taco street for lunch. It was a great lunch. We had one taco combo, carne asada tacos (4) , rice and beans. Added some chips and queso, and an al pastor taco. The chips and queso were best I have had and the tacos were delicious. The Al pastor had great flavor and the pineapple was just what I needed today. I am sure I will be back for burrito and torta next time.

Yelp
We stopped by for a quick bite before our road trip to Forks. I am glad my son and daughter-in-law brought us here to try a taco plate and I really like it! We will definitely come back again and try other menus. The service was friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was fantastic!! Outdoor eating, or inside is available. My son and I had a great lunch here and we were pleasantly pleased! Service at the counter was great, they hand you a remote buzzer to pick up your food when it's ready. The outside swing is cool too.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Usually this place has great customer service. Today I asked for salsa to be put directly on my California Burrito, and was told they 'can't do that'. I then asked for a container to put some salsa in because my order was to go, told they 'can't do that' either. Got home, my burrito was carnitas not carne asada.

Yelp
Out of all the Mexican Food places I've been to, I am thoroughly impressed with Taco Street! We had to stand in line for a while but after eating I could see why! Their ingredients were so fresh and the salsa bar in the dining area was icing on the cake! The food menu was big enough to have options but small enough that you won't be overwhelmed with options (burritos are well worth it!). The drink menu was very authentic and had enough variety for everyone. NOTE: this menu rotates! We looked at the menus here on Yelp but some were outdated.. however the bartender was kind enough to make them anyways! If you need some quick, delicious Mexican food, Taco Street is the place to go! Plus it's close to everything in Point Ruston

Hannah M.

Yelp
Do go here much and when i do I'm reminded how good the food really is but the service is what I do t go back for. For being a taco place you would think k they are celiacs friendly but it's quite the opposite; even when I ask for corn they give you floor; there was no long line and it wasn't hectic they just didn't listen.

M C.

Yelp
I really didn't like the veggie tacos. For some reason they had broccoli and came with mushrooms which I had politely asked to have without. The beans are rice were phenomenal, though! The prices can be expensive if not getting a combo, so get a combo! Great amount of food for only $12! The ambience of inside a little market is nice.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to the Point Ruston Market for the first time and was drawn to Taco Street for their bright colors, extensive taco options, and yummy looking food! I got the street taco plate that comes with 5 tacos of your choice, rice, and beans. I chose carne asada and they were delicious! He got 2 tacos-- one house special and one carne asada. House special was so juice and flavorful but the carne asada was a little dry for our liking. Luckily, there are different salsas and pickles veggies at the bar which made them perfect! For drinks, we got a horchata and a Limonada Azul. Both were SO yummy! They didn't skimp out on the tequila which made it worth my money. Woohoo! Service was quick and staff was very friendly! It cured the craving and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
I'm from the south and have not found a Mexican place that had good Mexican food where I would come back. But, Taco street is absolutely amazing, their street tacos are delicious and the elote. My mom came to visit and I took her here, she said every time she visits she would come here to eat. And she gets Mexican food all the time down south. The place is super cute and decorated nice, it brings me back to my roots!

Yelp
A day later and we are still raving about this place. We have been meaning to try this place out for a while now. Finally we had the opportunity to go try this place out. We were not disappointed. They have lots of options to pick from that will not disappoint. Service was wonderful and they were super friendly. They have a large seating area and even outdoor seating for those that bring their fur babies. Tacos are not tiny and are full of the meat of your choice. The seasoning in the tacos was perfect. They have a salsa bar you can pick your extra toppings from. This spot has a lot of little shops and Point Ruston is a few steps away. This was the perfect taco spot for us! We will be back and bringing friends! We can't wait.

Yelp
This rapidly became a favorite stop for us. We love taking our food to go and eating near the water, but dining in while enjoying the market is also an option. The So Cal and Colorado Chile tacos are currently our favorites. Don't forget to add a side of chips and salsa, delish!

Scott H.

Yelp
Taco Street was within walking distance of the hotel I was at, so decided to give it a try. It's a small operation, and I just wanted to try a few of their tacos. I ordered a few ala carte - chorizo, barbacoa, al pastor and carnitas. All were solid choices. Well seasoned meats and traditional simple toppings. I also ordered a small pozole. It was a tad more greasy than it needed to be, but overall it was satisfying comfort food.

B E.

Yelp
The positive: One of the best Posole in South Sound. The negatives: Eveeything Else. The customer service between the guy with the nail polish taking the orders and the bar back girl with the piercing in her mouth were extremely rude and hostile for no reason (despite the fact I tipped big on drinks only order). Up one receiving nearly $60 dollars worth of margaritas all tasted like sugar in a cup with no alcohol. HORROBLE, I don't typically ask for remakes but the drinks were undrinkable. Of course, they couldn't do anything to help or make it better, but the short story is horrible cocktails, horrible rude service, and good pozole!

Yelp
This is a wonderful place in Ruston. Stopped here on our way to Tacoma zoo. It's part of Ruston Waterfront Market. They have plenty of seating available. You can order at the counter and wait in the dining area for your name to be paged to pick up the food. We have ordered the California burrito, Tacos and the quesadilla. Wait time was around 10 minutes. There's a salsa counter in the seating area - they offfers four types of salsas. Light green being the least spiciest to the red one being the spiciest. Trust me, the red one is damn spicy. They have pickled veggies as well. Loved the food. Everything was so good and delicious. Tacos were soft with the veggies cooked to perfection. Must say, one of the best California burrito I have tasted outside CA. So so good. And the best one was quesadilla. It's cheesy and amazingly delicious. Mouthwatering stuff. I would say it's a value for money place. I have had terrible Mexican food from far more expensive places than this one. Their service is really amazing. The staffs are awesome. They were patient enough to wait for us to make our selections. Terrific. Great food, awesome service, value for money - definitely I will stop by here again when I visit Tacoma next time. Recommended.

Emily G.

Yelp
Waited 30 minutes for two tacos. Asked the status - they had lost my order. It then took an additional 20 minutes again...for two tacos. No refund, no apology. The longest I've ever waited for mediocre tacos

Rachelle A.

Yelp
The tacos were very yummy! Not greasy, tasted fresh. Very Friendly staff , quick service. I'll be back
google avatar

Yelp
New favorite taco place! Service was great, wait time wasn't too long, and the food was delicious! I wish they were open later for those late night munchies!

Yelp
Waterfront Market at Ruston is a developing neighborhood. I found "Taco Street" after watching my granddaughter enjoy a sports event outside this little street market. The actual market has many crafters, a farmers market and a few food vendors. Free Parking! Public restrooms. On this particular day, only Taco Street had food for hungry visitors. (Also food related was another stall that sold only specialty oatmeal cookies.) Extra sauces and condiments can be found at a station nearby close to tables for dining. Food was good and hit the spot.
google avatar

Ceivy M.

Yelp
Pros: 1. Great vibe inside the market. Service was friendly and accommodating. 2. The steak fries were great, I wish the fries had been crunchier but you can't have it all. The carne asada wasn't the best steak I've had, but it wasnt bad, you can tell it had been made in advanced and kept heated. My friend said the tacos were delicious so I'll take her word for it. 3. Their Elote is the closet to traditional I've had in any Tacoma tex-mex restaurant. I enjoyed the heck out of mine with a little extra lime. I had to ask for extra Tajin but other than that it was spot on. 4. The salsa bar was great! The pickled onions were a great choice of topping. I always hate when restaurants don't give me enough limes, come on its a Mexican staple, so I was pleased to see an open salsa bar offering everything I needed. Cons: 1. I asked for a mojito expecting a delicious rum drink. I instead got a mojito mix with Hornitos tequila. I managed to compose myself, but oh boy did I almost spit it out everywhere. Some of us can't do tequila so it would have been a great warning to know the mojitos are made with tequila here. On the bright side, the cashier was amazing and she remade my drink with Titos vodka, it's not exactly a mojito but it was an improvement. 2. The salsas lacked flavor or spice. The pickled jalapeños were 10x spicier than all the salsas. Huge disappointment.

Yelp
Had myself a California Burrito today at the Taco Street @ Rustin Market. This forearm sized burrito had everything you needed to fill up my tummy. I fused or should I say loaded with Steak , guacamole , pico , beans & rice and loaded with French Fires! Nice California way to enjoy finish off this loaded bad boy! The taco selection looked amazing so I'll save having those for another day. Eat local if you can!

Yelp
We were in the mood for tacos and after reading several reviews we headed over to Taco Street which is in Point Rustin in the Public Market area. It's in a beautiful area on the water. You can even ship local after dining. It is a walk up counter service. After looking at the menu we decided on the Tres Amigos which had a small sampling of guacamole, queso, and house made salsa. The guacamole was super fresh and delicious as was the salsa that was with it. I wish they bottled that stuff and sold it! Yummy!!!! The queso left a little to be desired. I wish it had a kick to it. Next time we will stick with the guacamole and salsa. I ordered the Taco Street Special, 4 street tacos choice of one meat served with rice & choice of beans, I chose carne asada. It was super flavorful and fresh as all get out. And for $12.50 is a great deal it includes the drink(soda). My husband ordered Quesabirria tacos and we both absolutely loved his. They were super authentic and yummy! We have had them all over Tacoma and these were the absolute best. They have a fresh salsa bar, which was really cool and extra toppings for your tacos. This place is a great find for lunch. We highly recommend it. And we will definitely be back! Thanks for a great lunch.

Yelp
Situated in the Waterfront Market, this hidden treasure is just off Ruston Way on the corner. There isn't much of a bar space inside, and the dining area is more suited to a family setting.I went on a Tuesday and got the Taco Tuesday (which is only available on Tuesdays), which is five street tacos with the daily meat for $7.50. I added queso, and chips and a Luna (double). I ordered my tacos in all vegetarian.I denied a receipt, so I don't know if the price was up or if it was a special request or not. Compared to my expectations, the cost was higher. With their roasted vegetable fillings--mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, yellow squash, onions, cilantro, and shredded lettuce--the tacos were delectable and airy. Curious if I could have asked for cheese. The queso was alright, but it came with too many chips and too little queso, as is typical at most restaurants. In the middle of the dining area is a condiment station where you may get jalapeños, chopped onions, and three varieties of sauces to top your food.As a whole, it wasn't bad, and the tacos were good enough to satisfy vegetarians on a diet.
google avatar

Robyn P.

Yelp
Great food, lots of seating with outdoor options as well. Order at the counter and they call your name. Lots of yummy condiments for you to choose from too. Looking forward to going back ne
google avatar

R G.

Yelp
The location is great with outdoor seating options. The favors are excellent, the chicken in particular has a great spice blend. The salsa bar is a great addition. The staff however are down right rude, they rush you through and give condensing responses when asking for things like extra napkins or salsa. Lots of people make tacos in town, so I usually choose other places that provide better customer service.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
Pros - fast and friendly service, plenty of meat in the tacos (except the shrimp taco), dog-friendly outdoor seating, soft, and but sturdy tortillas. Nice location near the water. The shrimp taco was tasty; I'd order that again. Cons - The carnitas was very dry and under-seasoned. The al pastor was also dry and under-seasoned; I think that they used loin which is too lean.
google avatar

Kathy N.

Yelp
This spot was ok, I've had better. I ordered the Taco Street Special Combo with al pastor. The meat was a little dry and not super flavorful, but did come with real pineapple chunks. The rice was pretty bland but the beans were good. The meal is supposed to come with a drink but they didn't tell me the horchata was an extra $2. I didn't mind paying it but would've been nice to get a heads up. The horchata was sweeter and milkier than I'd like, and while you can see the spices in it, I would've liked more cinnamon too. It tasted like a cinnamon roll or the milk you get after eating cinnamon toast crunch cereal. Objectively, it's a great deal considering you get beans, rice, tacos, and a drink for $12.50 (or in my case, $14.50) My boyfriend got one shrimp taco and one barbacoa taco. He said the meat for the barbacoa was dry. I had a bite of the shrimp one and that one wasn't too bad. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. But again, the food needed more flavoring. I could taste it but it wasn't pronounced enough. The carne asada fries were probably the best in terms of flavor. A decent amount of seasoning and spiciness with lots of little squares of carne asada. It came with a looot of sour cream lol This place lacked a salsa bar and there were no hot sauces for use visible anywhere so that was disappointing (edit: after posting my review I looked through others and ok there apparently is a salsa bar. I ordered and sat on the outdoor seating side so from my POV I didn't see it. Apologies, and heads up if you also order from and eat on the outdoor seating side) Overall, my impression is this is a great place to go money-wise. It's affordable and you get a good amount of food for what you pay. Service was speedy and nice. It's pretty clean. The food was just SO bland for Mexican food! I have to disagree with other reviewers calling this the best
google avatar

Laiza U.

Yelp
Very solid tacos, not the best, but not the worst. I definitely can see myself eating here again. Great atmosphere and great salsas! If you're struggling to find decent tacos in Washington try these!

Yelp
Solid lunch spot with really nice dining area and environment! I ordered three tacos: a Socal taco (carne asada with guacamole and cheese), a barbacoa taco (their house special), and a shrimp taco. The shrimp taco came with mushrooms, which I had never seen before as a combination? There was a good amount of shrimp and they were cooked very well. However, I thought this taco was the least flavorful of the three, so I accompanied it with lots of salsa from the salsa bar. The Socal taco was probably my favorite of the 3, the guacamole was nice and carne asada was flavorful. The asada was a bit dry which is why the guacamole helped a lot. Far from the best asada I've had but not bad! I typically don't order barbacoa but decided to try it as it was their specialty. The first bite was really juicy and great, but I just don't think barbacoa is my favorite protein. I also got a mango agua fresca which was very refreshing! They had a lot of different options for beverages and I wish I could have tried a few. Also had a cool salsa bar which was well-organized and has everything you could want or need. As a California native, I feel like this would probably just be an average taco spot in CA because of the price, slightly dry protein, and lack of free chips, but if you're in the area and craving tacos, I'd recommend stopping by!

Yelp
Okay, I FINALLY stopped in for tacos tonight and I live less than a mile up the street! Unforgivable! Anyhow, I tried the veggie taco and the poblano queso taco. I thought both of them were really good. I loved the queso! The veggies were tasty, but I docked a star because they did lack salt. I really enjoyed the salsa/hot sauce/pickled veggie bar. It's a fun place. You can sit outside or inside. Very chill and reasonably priced and the people are friendly!

Yelp
Taco street is definitely a gentrified place, no mexican vibes at all. The most workers there can't speak spanish! The food is pretty good tho. The reason why i give this place a 2 star is because last time i went with my friend, he ordered a taco plate AND IT HAD A FKN SCREW IN ONE OF THE TACOS! Idk how tf a screw got in there, they need to check the food before serving it out! The other thing that pisses me off is how they sell mexican stuff there. Why are they selling a small concha for over $10?! LOCAL MEXICAN BAKERIES SELL BIGGER CONCHAS FOR $1!!! This restaurant is definitely made for white people who want a gentrified version of a mexican restaurant. To all my other mexican folks, go support your local AUTHENTIC mexican food spots!!
google avatar

Jm P.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken quesadilla, 2 tacos and churros. They didn't skimp on the filling, the onions and cilantro were fresh, there's a salsa and side dish bar where you can grab more lime, pickled veggies and onions and watch TV facing the sound. Service was pretty quick, hands down though you gotta get a churro :)
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Cute little Mexican place. The carne asada torta was definitely the highlight, shrimp taco was the weakest (pretty flavorless, could really only taste the corn tortilla) & I wouldn't get it again. The other tacos were good but nothing spectacular. Would come again!

Delia C.

Yelp
The food and the ambiance was awesome! The staff was super friendly as well! I wish they had slightly larger portions of food but overall, amaaaaaazzziinggg!

Halie F.

Yelp
Love this spot! Such a fun vibe with delicious food and bonus awesome events!!! The service is great the staff is always so friendly and the owner is very sweet. If you're in the area definitely add this as your go to spot, if you're not its worth a trip for sure.

Yelp
Went here with some friends after visiting the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, as we were craving tacos and were very hungry after hours of walking around in the sun. Taco Street certainly satisfied our cravings! They have some outdoor seating and a lot more indoor seating, as it's set up in some sort of food-court. Inside was clean and well-kept, and there was a free side bar with various salsas and toppings which was a great addition. Got our food around 10min after we ordered, so pretty efficient service. I ordered a Taco Combo with the Chorizo Tacos, which came with beans, rice, and a drink. All for $12.50 (not including tax, which brought it up to around $15) was an incredible deal for some delicious food. The chorizo was well seasoned and well cooked, and the beans and rice tasted fresh and savory. Highly recommend if you're in the Point Defiance area!

Yelp
Yes Folks, you can see a 5 star for a hole in the wall Taco Street! have to respect the fresh ingredients and Barbacoa braised beef in the tacos or burritos. The sautéed shrimp would be my next choice. Reasonable in prices, soft drinks and bottled beer. Come on down to Ruston Way Public Market for a rainy afternoon.

Yelp
Stopped by the waterfront market to get a snack after the zoo and found Taco Street. My husband and I shared 4 street tacos with rice and chips and salsa.. so good. The salsa was delicious and the Al pastor meat was perfect. We are visiting the Seattle/ Tacoma area and we will be back next year when we are in town. Wonderful service and fantastic food

Yelp
The staff were nice. They messed up my wife's order, but had no issues making the correct food. She did not like the pozole at all! Presentation was not good, it was too salty, had big chunks of hard meat, and small portion served in a to-go aluminum foil like bowl. I got the Cali burrito was not impressed. The flavor was lacking for sure. I'll just keep going to Birrieria Tijuana for good WA state Mexican food.

Yelp
Ordered pollo and barbacoa tacos and a couple of diet cokes for lunch after stopping into the market for some blown glass Christmas tree ornaments. It can be a busy spot at lunch - even in December - so plan accordingly. The staff gets through orders pretty quickly and they do have a speaker in the seating area so you can grab a table and wait. The barbacoa is very mild so no worries about being to spicy. Their salsas are great! The mild green has an awesome flavor and the hotter red was great on the barbacoa. The chicken was well seasoned and a good match with the green salsa. Both were true to Chihuahua. I've also been for breakfast. Awesome breakfast burrito! No skimping on ingredients - great content. Great place to grab some street tacos indoors and enjoy the market.

Yelp
Tacos, Tacos, Tacos! Some of my favorites are Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Carnitas! I have so many more options to try! Located inside the Point Ruston Public Market, Taco Street is a great addition to the Ruston Way waterfront. They are open seven days a week, and stay open until 8:00pm. Taco Street is great for take out, or you can grab a table at their outdoor patio or inside the market.
