Tacos, small plates & tequila drinks are on offer at this popular local chain’s Marina outpost.
"Need somewhere to eat with friends, but only have an hour left to decide before you meet up with them? Head to Tacolicious. Though the name reminds us of a certain cringy late aughts pop song that starts with “Fergie,” it’s a solid place for reliable tacos with a California bent—think toppings like cabbage slaw, sauteed potatoes, and gridded pepper jack with carne asada. The kale salad is excellent, the chips and guacamole are great, and this spot is an overall good time. If you end up having to wait for a table, just grab a drink across the street at Campus while waiting." - Team Infatuation
"Tacolicious, a mini-chain of Mexican restaurants with three locations across the city, is going a similar route to Angler, not only welcoming pups but creating a menu of food options for them, too. Their weekly Barklet Happy Hour, which launched at the Marina location on October 6, means dogs owners can pay $6 to have the kitchen prepare a Happy Meal of chopped sweet potato and chicken thigh or $2 for a “churro” chew made with coconut oil and cinnamon — bowls of water, however, are free." - Lauren Saria
"If you ride a company bus to work, odds are, a lot of your coworkers live around the Marina. Aside from tacos, this place has big pitchers of margaritas that’ll help you forget that your original plan for the evening was to catch a movie with friends you haven’t seen in a few weeks." - Will Kamensky
"Tacolicious is hosting its annual guest chef series, where chefs create tacos that reflect their cuisine. All proceeds support CUESA’s Food Wise Teens program." - Ellen Fort
"Tacolicious is a surprise option for eating healthily, even when the rest of your group wants queso and tacos. The Marina Girl (lettuce, avocado, and other toppings with a jalapeño vinaigrette) and kale salads are huge and delicious, and you can add grilled shrimp or chicken if you need some extra protein. The tacos themselves are less healthy than the salads, of course, but the portions are small enough that they still feel light, and there are some solid vegetarian options that won’t leave you starving afterward." - Taylor Abrams, Will Kamensky
