"Just a block from Lincoln Road is Tacombi—a casual taqueria that won’t care if you apply aloe vera on your friend’s back while you wait for your order. The most impressive part of these tacos is how much meat they put into each one. We like the baja crispy fish taco with cod that’s crunchy outside and juicy inside. Plus, those bottles of salsa really come in handy. Try the sierras verdes on the baja crispy fish and the smoky tierra norte with morita chile on an al pastor. Just don’t forget the corn esquites—which is spicy, creamy, and served hot. Post-beach margaritas are also an option." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

"This Miami fast-casual taco joint started serving Yucatan-style tacos from the back of a Volkswagen van. To this day, the flavors haven’t lost any of their authenticity. While visitors come for the tacos, its guacamole is also a must-try, along with the crunchy totopos. Pair with a spicy margarita and call it a day." - Alona Martinez

"Tacombi is a block from Lincoln Road and the perfect alternative to display-window pizzas or sucking on a hookah. This place is a casual taqueria that runs like the well-oiled national chain it's trying to become. The floor is purposely unfinished and you sit on red folding chairs. But salsa bottles all face the same direction, service is friendly, and tacos overflow with meat. We like the baja crispy fresh taco—with beer battered cod that’s crunchy outside and juicy inside. We went there for an early dinner after researching decent spots around Lincoln Rd, I had never heard of this place before. The restaurant is really nice, casual, very open with a nice decoration, I really liked it. Service was quick and attentive, nothing to complain about. The food was a mixed bag, the guacamole was good. Very fresh, generous portion. It was a no frills guac, but well done. We then had some tacos, we tried the birria, pastor, chicken and baja fish. We only really liked the chicken one, it was flavorful. The others were disappointing and not like the ones we had in Mexico just a couple of months prior. The pastor was greasy, and lacked flavor. Same for the birria (which I've seen but never tried in Mexico, so maybe I just don't like birria tacos...), it was overall greasy and again lacked flavor, it comes with a little sauce that didn't taste like much. The fish was definitely freshly made, and was quite a good portion, but alas, it was bland... I also think some of their tacos should be served with 2 tortillas, especially for the price, as they're messy to eat and the toppings are too wet, the one tortilla gets soggy too quickly. We had margaritas, they were ok.

The wall says Organic, so it must be true? Absolutely! I was walking down the street and lunch was not a thought until I walked by this bustling place. Quickly found seating and a waitress ready to take my order. Service with a smile? Wasn’t ready for that, but she was enthusiastic and friendly. You will not be disappointed by the appetizers, tacos, and beer. That’s all I can vouch for. I will definitely be back on my next trip to SOBE.

This place was awesome. Had some concerns it'd be a bit of a tourist trap but honestly was greatly surprised. They couldn't bring the food out fast enough we were just wolfing it down. Would recommend for some great tacos and quesadillas !

Google
The BEST food I believe I have ever ate. Everything was super fresh, hot, and brought quickly to the table. The waiter and hostess, Lena, was so kind and accommodating. I wish this restaurant was global! Thank you for a great meal. If I'm ever back in Miami this will be my go to dinner spot!

The food was really amazing. We had 2 birrias and 4 tacos and it was delicious. Lina and Carrie were very welcoming and took their time to explain the menu and also the dish when it arrived. Would 100% come back next time I come back to Miami.

Google
OMG I'm crying that I don't live right next to this place. I am OBSESSED. I live in Miami but was staying at a hotel on the beach for work. I ordered from here TWO NIGHTS in a row! The quesadilla was bomb, burrito was even more bomb (both were pork). The chips are THE BEST and I literally Googled them so I can buy the chips at the store. Also got the corn esquites twice and they’re absolutely delicious. The second night I guess they were out of chips so they gave me an extra beer to make up for it. Omg I love you. And I appreciate the cute marketing & coupons with each order. ALSO for anyone complaining that the portions are small, I imagine they’re trying to go for “authentic” sizes and not American style (enormous). The food was really not that expensive and I think the intention is for customers to try several small things. Especially given that chips are included on the side. I realized this the first night and ordered more my next time. Can’t wait to go back! <3

Google
We went here for dinner on our first night in Miami after popping into Marshalls. We did zero research so didn’t know what we were walking into but had an awesome meal. You order your food a la carte on a slip of paper. We ordered the Mexican street corn, guacamole & chips, chicken quesadilla, birria tacos, chicken taco and a fish taco to share. My boyfriend said the fish taco was the best he’s ever had, it was a huge piece of fish. The guacamole was so fresh and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had even though it’s very simple. I loved the street corn, it comes in a cup and the waiter was so sweet he instructed us to squeeze the lime on and stir it and I’m so glad he did. I loved the corn with the guacamole. The birria, chicken tacos and chicken quesadilla were also phenomenal. The restaurant has a hand washing station which I thought was cute because you can get a little messy while eating. The wait staff was so friendly and everyone stopped and asked how we were doing and were so nice. They told us it just opened in December so I’d love to see this place become a staple of the area! Excellent food and customer service. Def go here! I forgot to take pics before we ate so these are sort of midway but still helpful!

Yelp
4 star food 4 service 5 star ambience. Good authentic Mexican with Ok service in a surprisingly low key location about a block from Lincoln Road Mall. 4 star food: Food is good and authentic, particularly for a small chain. It was slightly pricey. 4 star service: service was also good, just not great. There were some traces of Miami 'tude ... 5 star ambience: soaring interior space decorated like a very colorful garage. Outside it's close enough to Lincoln Road to be convenient, but far enough to be a little quieter.

Hannah E.

Yelp
Staff is really helpful and friendly. The vibe is like food truck/bodega, love the decor and the restaurant is very clean. My partner and I usually order the avocado tostada and a taco each. I have tried the fried fish (cod) taco a few times and it's not a personal favorite, I do wish they had a different option for fish. Recently I tried the sweet potato and black bean taco, the flavors were good but I was missing some flavor like avocado to balance the starch from the two main ingredients. I am pescatarian so I wish there were a few other veggie options like tofu or veggie meat. I have tried the esquites in the past and it was delicious! Few gems on the menu, def worth a try

Yelp
There are so many Mexican food options for dining in Miami. To come up with something different while being a little authentic is difficult to pull off. Tacombi arrived in South Beach at the heart of Lincoln Road but just a little to the side. On Meridian Ave to the side of the bustling Lincoln Road pedestrian outdoor mall. It's on the ground floor of an Art Deco style building that was an office previously. So there's a lot of character on the outside and a double height space inside. There is good music and the cantina style create an escape to another world. I am always greeted as I walk in with a welcoming smile whenever I've been to Tacombi. This location didn't disappoint. The waiter immediately sat me at a table that suited my request and by the time I was sat down he had got my appetizer and drink order while I waited for my friend to arrive. Impressive. I'm a vegetarian so it's never a simple start to establish what I can have and this was easy. I hadn't had the Corn Esquittes before. I recommend them if you love corn. Perfect to share. An original margarita with the tequila siete leguas is tasty. A strong flavor.

Yelp
We order Tacombi literally every week. This was our first time dining at a location though. Usually I order the bean burrito, any of the quesadillas because they're all good, sometimes esquites, or rice and beans. The food is always top-quality. I really liked the feel of this Tacombi. It reminded me of some taquerias in Mexico City. It's casual but still very cute. I strayed from my normal order and tried their birria. It was tasty, but I was still pretty starving afterwards despite having spent $12. I won't take off a star because of how many times Tacombi has hit the mark for me, but I probably would not order the birria again. FYI, there is a paid parking lot right down the street.

Yelp
I ordered Tacombi for delivery tonight. This was my second time trying their food. The first time was at the restaurant during an event. I had the fish tacos, the sandia tequila drink, and the esquites. The restaurant is new in Miami Beach and has great decor and amazing staff. Everyone was kind and welcoming. Tonight I ordered the tacos again but for delivery since they were so good at the restaurant along with esquites. They were delivered quickly and were still very warm so I expected them to be fresh and tasty. To my disappointment it was far from it. The fish was so heavily fried and the fish flavor and texture was off. It didn't taste right. We ordered 4 tacos and only 1 was edible which was so disappointing. The esquites were also not the best either and the cup was a bit empty. The tacos are a bit on the pricey side, ($8) each so it was unfortunate to not be able to enjoy them tonight. Again, the food was very warm so I'm not basing this reviewing on that, it was the overall food quality that lacked. I'll try Tacombi again in the future but for now I might still to the vegetarian items as the fish tacos were disappointing but it's worth another shot as there are other good things on the menu!

Yelp
Glad I went during happy hour. Got to try the michelada and it was really good. I got the Birria tacos, corn and rice & beans. The portions for the rice & beans was small and the corn could've been dressed a bit more for flavor. The sauce for the Birria tacos didn't have any flavor but since I hadn't had anything to compare it to I didn't know if it was like that. I later asked someone else and they said it should have at least a salty flavor to it. Overall I gave it 4 stars for service and happy hour drink prices.

Otty B.

Yelp
Love the ambiance since you walked into this restaurant. Warn and friendly staff. Clean and organized.

Yelp
Great food and people! We love Tacombi . The food never disappoints and the space is so beautiful. The chips, tacos, drinks, corn esquires are all delicious! It's always quiet there because it's a little off Lincoln Road but for us this is a good thing--- but we do want them to survive in this tough restaurant market!! Highly recommend for great Mexican food. They have a decent happy hour and a kid's meal! We love the staff ! The food is expensive on a regulate note but it is Miami Beach--catch the happy hour . It's worth it!

Eino H.

Yelp
Was in Miami with my family for vacation from LA. We popped into this place and was shocked how good the food was and how friendly the service was as well! Being from LA we are somewhat taco snobs which is why it was confusing how delicious and unique the tacos are here. The tortillas they use are different too, but somehow better? Again, confusing. So I would say must haves are the crispy fish, pastor, and carne asada tacos. Chicken quesadilla was incredible. Corn in a cup was bomb. Really everything was so flavorful. Prob the reason I'm taking the time to write a review is how friendly and kind the staff were. You felt like you were in this cool, hip taco joint with an authentic Mexican feel, that somehow was still very family friendly with delicious food that made me want to keep ordering more! Highly recommend!

Marie N.

Yelp
Coming from California I haven't really found a good taco spot in Miami, but these tacos definitely reminded me of the tacos back in CA. I tried a couple of the tacos and my favorites were the fish tacos and Al pastor. The Paloma cocktail and watermelon agua Fresca was also good. They made the tacos pretty quickly and the restaurant was a big enough space. Right next to Lincoln road so will definitely be stopping by again!

Ashley A.

Yelp
Here for the grand opening!!!! Having such a great time with amazing food and drinks.the staff if incredibly friendly, including wendy and the cooks

Megan S.

Yelp
Hands down the best Mexican food in Miami proper. It is so hard to find authentic Mexican food, but they really have got the flavors down. I spent the last year in Mexico part time, and grew up in La and San Diego basically living off of Mexican food. Even more hard to come by in Miami, they really mastered their service. Jeffrey was our waiter and checked on us more times in 30 mins than any of the fanciest restaurants here have in over a three hour period. He was so pleasant and great to chat with as well. We will be regulars here 100%. The bean and cheese burrito - perfect The Burria tacos - even better The kids menu - our child loved it Can't wait to try everything else on the menu and finally have a go to Mexican restaurant in Miami.

Tima C.

Yelp
I've seen this place open for a while already but the way it looks inside was not ready getting my attention to eat there, just not the best designe for a café in my opinion, but I decided to give a try. People who greeted me at the door (server and manager/owner) were very friendly, and the food which they suggested me was also good (pork burrito), michelada which I ordered was spicy like it supposed to be. I'll probably come back to try their tacos one day.

Faryn E.

Yelp
I love Mexican Food as it is my favorite! The food is good but the drinks are better! This is my second time at this location and I came for their Cinco De Mayo event. They were serving guacamole and chips, mushroom/pork and crispy fish tacos and corn. The corn was a little on the spicy side but that is to be expected at a Mexican restaurant. The customer service was GREAT! We were always attended to and they made us feel super welcomed. My favorite taco was the pork and the watermelon margarita was AMAZING. I would come back!

Laura-Ann C.

Yelp
Truly one of the most memorable casual dining experiences I've had in a long time! Michelle was an exceptionally postured server who knew the menu at the back of her hand. She made some excellent suggestions and was so hospitable. I had the chance to meet Andy and Ottavio during my visit to this Tacombi. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! You even went above and beyond and extended the most memorable dining experience to my Market Sector Leader and his wife. This was BEYOND generous and so very much appreciated! Up till this day, I have yet to find another restaurant that embodies all of Mexican cuisine with so much authenticity! Wow wow wow!! Cannot wait to try your other location in NYC Tacombi family! Thank you sincerely! PS MUST GET THE ESQUITES, your palate will thank you!

F B.

Yelp
starting with my favorite thing I would say the salsas are legit but the battered fish taco was my fav but they use a nothing special corn tortilla I'm gonna admit for tacos to be the most expensive I've ever paid the tortilla better be special!!????? $7 for 1 the asada taco was a joke they give you like 6 chopped pieces of "steak" with a jalapeño that looked microwaved and some onions idk if there grilled I couldn't tell $6 for 1 again these corn tortillas are the most basic tortillas I feel like it's audacious with the kinda prices the horchata was reasonably priced $5 comes in a bottle they freshly fill which is a nice touch but the flavor is super sweet cinnamony and watery which I've never had a horchata that was like that cinnamon dominates the taste and yeah this my last time going here

Gabriel G.

Yelp
When I arrived to the restaurant looks good. It gives me an atmosphere of a street Mexican food. However, the food was completely overpriced and overrated. We order multiple tacos and the food was average with a lack of freshness. We spend more than 40 dollars per person for low quality and cheap taco and we were not even full. Also, the service was terrible and very slow. There was not a plate that came at the same time.

Jo K.

Yelp
Great service, ambiance and food! Highly recommend la bisteca burrito. (Pescado was meh. Barely any fish there)

Veronica L.

Yelp
Tacombi, te quiero! So excited my favorite spot is within walking distance from my place. Many happy hours will be spent here! The food never disappoints from the esquites, to the quesadillas, birria tacos and Al pastor tacos each bite is flavorful and filling! Margs are strong and delicious just how they should be. The service is here is outrageously amazing considering most beach spots don't have the best service and both servers came up multiple times to check in on us, make sure we were enjoying everything and just really wanted to chat and see how our day was going. Truly a rarity these days. Welcome to the neighborhood Tacombi. We are so happy to have you!

Emma B.

Yelp
A great addition to the neighborhood! It's nice to see quality restaurants popping up around Lincoln road. I came here with a big group of friends and the service and food was beyond my expectations. Everyone left happy. The standout for me was the watermelon cocktail, I swapped the regular tequila for mezcal.

Mike R.

Yelp
Love getting the fish tacos here. Fish tastes fresh and the flavor and sauces are delicious. This spot is located near lincoln road, so it is the perfect spot to grab a bite after walking around. They also serve cocktails here as well. My favorite is the watermelon margarita which is very refreshing.

Victoria S.

Yelp
Great food and full bar . Ambiance is a bit of a cafeteria atmosphere but the food is good . I had the quesadilla which was great and a margarita . They have happy hour but only for drinks not for food . Service is great they come to your table .

Mario D.

Yelp
This place takes you to an authentic taqueria in Mexico, with both the flavors and the ambiance. The food is amazing, with different taco options from all over Mexico, and the attitude of the staff makes it even better.

Mark K.

Yelp
A real treat! A great taqueria with excellent food, and atmosphere and service to match. I will be back as often as I can.

Patricia R.

Yelp
The food at Tacombi is so good! It has a lot of flavor, it's hard to resist. The service is amazing, right when you enter you are greeted and taken care of by the friendly staff. The ambiance feels very nostalgic with a modern twist, another thing I noticed was how clean and organized everything was! Definitely will be back !

Rolando R.

Yelp
Stick to the tacos. I had an El Pastor burrito delivered and it was like a big lump of petrifies, overcooked meat. Maybe they should only serve this for in restaurant orders.

Geovana B.

Yelp
The ambiance and the customer service is there but the prices and portions are not. I paid $12 for a steak quesadilla and I felt that it was not worth it.

S S.

Yelp
The Miami Beach location has excellent customer service and the food is delicious, we enjoyed everything, guacamole with chips, street corn, tacos al pastor, pollo yucateco, carne asada taco and an avocado tostada. We are definitely going back!

Rachel S.

Yelp
Service is amazing! They go out of their way for you. Chicken burrito was really good.

Yesenia H.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it since it's right next to where I work but sadly I don't think my coworkers or myself will be returning. I ordered the chicken burrito, steak burrito, corn in a cup, and a quesadilla. The corn in the cup was very good! One of the best things I ordered. Nice portions and well priced. I would recommend this. I personally did not try the quesadilla but was told it was so tasty. The only complaint was that it was comically small for a quesadilla but at least it was good. Now the burritos. I really hope it was an isolated incident and I am not picky with food by any means and love trying new places but it was not good. The steak burrito says it comes with beans and there were no beans. The rice was undercooked in both burritos. I asked for guacamole to be added to both burritos (they charge extra) and no guac was added to either. And they were poorly assembled. The chicken burrito had all the spicy escabeche in one spot and when I eat a burrito I like for it to have a little bit of everything when you bite into it but it wasn't the case for these. First couple bites were all hard rice, next couple bites pure cabbage, and no meat until almost the end. TLDR-- potential but disappointed. Very hit or miss but a little pricey for it to not be hitting. Really wanted to like it sadly. Customer service was very friendly tho!

Krystal G.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican food and drinks! Highly recommend this spot. The ambiance is laid back and relaxed and the food is amazing. I had the Birria tacos which where so good and juice. The tostadas looked amazing and the Michelada was delicious!

Sunil M.

Yelp
If you don't try this place, you done f'd up. DJ (manager) and Jeffrey were attentive and the food was excellent. Nothing was overpowering and the pastor and carne asada tacos were delicious. The Mexican street corn was a treat. Don't sleep on this place.

Josh R.

Yelp
The food.. was amazing ! Baja crispy fish tacos were fire!! and was recommended to me by Jordan ! he lead the day with great service , and made sure I had everything I needed !

Glenda C.

Yelp
This is a total rip off place.. It want anything g to rave about and it was pricey.. not sure if I was personally scammed but ordered a quesadilla for 10.00 and only received a small like taco and then I ordered a steak taco which was just a square piece of meat with green sauce on top.. like literally I think tacos bell would have been better.. there is bodega that is good, that I know it's small but it's quality... this place is not authentic.. if it is I'd rather stay with the fake stuff..

Chris C.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing! Food was very good with a lot of different tacos to choose from. Got sat right away and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a try!

Miriam S.

Yelp
I'm so glad to have found this place, and right after they opened in this location! AMAZING tacos and salsas. Incredible flavor. Staff was so friendly and welcoming (especially DJ) and great chill vibes. I'll definitely be back, hopefully for happy hour. These were the best tacos I had in Miami and loved this neighborhood place.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Went here last night with my wife and son looking for a nice casual dinner. This place has all the hits from their fried fish taco to their burritos and quesadillas. We got rice and beans on the side for our little one and he loved it. The guacamole portion is big and more than enough for 4 people. The tortillas are amazing and the food is way better than you would expect it to be in such a casual and cool setting. Go for happy hour and get some great beers and margs. Can't wait to go back. Also, the corn is to die for, it's a must get.

Jesus P.

Yelp
Must try Birria tacos... spicy brisket recipe out of control. Authentic Mexican vibe.

Diego L.

Yelp
As a local resident of south beach I'm so happy that Tacombi came to our neighborhood being Mexican takes me back to this amazing flavor of making tacos and the artistry that is behind it. I got the best service everybody's very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place because I've never been disappointed. It's like a party in your mouth.

Carol C.

Yelp
Excellent customer service! We felt the ambiance and fun of this place. Food was excellent. My daughter and I had fish tacos, guacamole and beans and rice. Margaritas were also delicious! I highly recommend!

Tracy S.

Yelp
It was good the first night. We went back and it was Ok!! Not very seasoned when we went back. Chairs were horrible.... Very uncomfortable!

Isabel O.

Yelp
Well I got invited here for my birthday, so we went across the street to have lunch. When we arrived come to find out they are a Mexican Restaurant and they have no SALSA (who does that) of any kind. Tables and chairs looked like they were purchased at Lowes. To top it off they have no soft drinks or diet anything to drink besides water. They do have drinks (alcohol) but I was on the clock. The waitress (Ashley) was awesome though. Food was EEHH. I will give them 6 months tops.

Lee D.

Yelp
I heard good things about the Austin location I have been waiting for this place to open and was so disappointed. They didn't have burritos ? Which is like how do you not have burritos when it's noon and you just opened. I got a steak taco which was good but it's like a bite taco and the quesadilla which was bad. It was a small open face cracker. Super unimpressed and not coming back. I gave it 3 stars because the services was good but the a/c wasn't working either.

C A.

Yelp
Overpriced. Go to Bodega or YardHouse instead a few blocks away. Also the Chips are way too hard, and they dont have salsa. The food is okay.

Herschel F.

Yelp
Birria tacos were really good - but expensive for only two. Consommé was rich, hints of cinnamon. Quite savory. If you want them with cheese you will pay two extra bucks. I also had a COLD avocado, bean and queso tostada that was about the size of a mole that needs removal. No real queso to speak of. Pass on this one. Expensive lunch. Two tacos and a micro-tostada came to 23 bucks. Also, annoying, they don't really allow additions to any of their dishes except of course that pricey cheese. Ultimately, there is comparable birria in town - at a much lower price.

Jackie F.

Yelp
My husband and I love Tacombi! We've been three times now since they opened. Every time we are greeted by a happy & professional hostess, the server and the staff come around to ensure we're happy too. I love the ambiance, simple clean design, and colors. Now the food! Try the corn esquites aKa "Mexican street corn. It's spicy with cheese, corn, and squeeze that lime! It's so delicious! My three other favorites are the burritos.... Bean y Queso (spicy beans & Oaxaca cheese), Vegana (sweet potato, kale, poblano), and Pollo Superior (marinated free-range chicken). The food is served quickly, and the ingredients are fresh. If you are looking for a quick bite or want to spend some time with your family, friends, and coworkers, this is a good spot. The cocktails are delicious too! Try the Sandia Santa and Margarita! They're so good! A big thank you to DJ the general manager and Ashley our server for your hospitality.

Daniel E.

Yelp
My family and I were walking thru Lincoln Rd and we noticed this new taco place on the corner in meridian. When we came in the vive feels great! When we sat down, automatically we were served water and had our server visit our table. We ordered quesadillas for the kids and they loved it. My wife and I had baja fish tacos with guacamole and chips. Let me tell you I never get fish because it is so hard to get them right anywhere. The baja fish tacos here are a home run and a must! The guacamole and chips are fresh. I love their service! Our server was constantly checking on us and making sure we are having a good time. Managers also were very engaged! Octavio swing by our table and had a conversation about where the tacos are made and how they restaurant started and their projections! Ambiance is spectacular and place is neat! I will be coming back to this location and I highly recommend this place for anybody who goes shopping to Lincoln Rd.

Daniell B.

Yelp
My husband was a huge fan of the food here. He particularly loved the Al pastor quesadilla and is still talking about it days later! The service was fantastic as well, our server Keenan was excellent! He was very attentive to our preferences and recommended foods based upon our likes.

Douglas G.

Yelp
We were among the first guests since its opening this week. Terrific, authentic Mexican food. Delicious burritos and tacos. Try the corn in a cup. Friendly, attentive service and good prices. We will be coming back!
