18 Best Pancakes in Boston | Eater Boston

"This New York-based ice cream shop is full of Instagram bait, from its pastel swirls of soft serve in fish-shaped cones to its fluffy Japanese-inspired souffle pancakes. The pancakes are only available on the weekend menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and there are two options: The classic pancake comes with maple syrup, butter, whipped cream, and powdered sugar, while the matcha pancake comes with whipped cream and matcha cream. Both are topped with a mini taiyaki." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Taiyaki NYC Opens in Boston’s Seaport District April 2019 - Eater Boston

"An extravagant ice cream shop full of fish-shaped cones and colorful soft serve arrives in Boston’s Seaport District later this month. Taiyaki NYC makes its debut in Boston on April 26 at 119 Seaport Blvd., and the founders have a full weekend of festivities planned. This will be the fifth location for the New York-based chain, which is well-known (perhaps best on Instagram) for its photogenic soft serve, vibrant and swirled atop the fish-shaped cones and adorned with toppings like sprinkles and unicorn horns." - Dana Hatic

Google
Overhyped Overpriced soft serve icecream on a mushy(soft) cone. Was looking forward to eating this ice cream as it was hyped up by one of my coworkers. There were no lines when we entered, small shop, no seating inside, plenty of public seats outside, menu is limited.

Google
The taiyaki with red bean filling was delicious—the pastry was soft and freshly made. However, the matcha ice cream was disappointing. It lacked the bold green tea flavor I expected and tasted mostly like sweet milk. It was far too sugary for my liking and not well-balanced.

Google
Nice sweet treat when you are out and about. Split some mini taiyaki with red bean filling and a matcha dipping sauce with a friend. Enjoyed it very much and would recommend to others to try this place out.

Overall loved the fish ice cream, we got the chocolate soft serve with custard filling. Wished the fish biscuit to be a bit more crispier, otherwise loved it❤️

Google
Taiyaki NYC is a dessert place specializing in Japanese Taiyaki, or a fish pastry filled with ice cream and other toppings. I've been coming here since it first opened, and the quality has remained consistent even after many years. The space has no seating, though there is plenty of seating outside. There is also around a 15 person limit within the store, so there may be a longer line outside. I got the Choco-lit Taiyaki, which has chocolate ice cream, a wafer, and dustings of chocolate on top. Overall pretty tasty, can melt a bit fast during summer months but pretty good size for the price. The Taiyaki does have a bit of cream that goes well with the ice cream. They also offer other options such as smaller Taiyaki filled pastries as well as drinks. The smaller taiyaki are flavorful and pretty tasty as well, with a range of filling options. Overall a wonderful dessert option in the Seaport area.

Google
Very mid and expensive ice cream. Honestly would not recommend unless you like regular soft serve and an actual hotel waffle as the cone. The oreo topping was literal dust not even cookie bits.... Did not think this was worth the wait or price($30+). We tried another ice cream place in the area with 4.9 stars and it was so much better and cheaper.

Google
Taiyaki provided us the best ice cream we had on our trip! We got the unicorn taiyaki, and it was super great. The soft serve was so creamy and smooth. The red bean filling, fish cone, cotton candy sprinkles, and everything else was top tier. We'll come here again the next time we find ourselves in beantown.

Google
Excellent ice cream and I LOVED the fish cone. It was somehow both crunchy and soft and was filled with custard. Really nice to have ice cream on a hot day and although the line was a bit long, it moved by at a moderate speed. Doesn’t feel overly expensive for ice cream either which I appreciated.

Yelp
The Taiyaki NYC in Boston Seaport was a delightful treat on our latest outing. The whimsical and charming unicorn taiyaki with red bean filling that I ordered was delicious. The playful presentation was a feast for the eyes, while the red bean filling provided a sweet and satisfying flavor profile. My friends opted for the matcha taiyaki with yellow custard filling. It included a colorful mochi stick and drizzle. Our visit to Taiyaki NYC was a memorable and delightful experience, filled with playful, Instagram-worthy desserts. There was a bit of a wait because it is a small location and only 6 people are allowed inside at a time, but the line moves fairly quickly. It's a must-visit spot for anyone in the Boston Seaport area looking for a unique and delicious treat.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
Good creamy ice cream. The matcha and sesame flavor was good. The Mochi stick was super tiny mochis that didn't taste very good. The chocolate wafer stick was normal kind you get at the Asian grocery store. And the fish was not fresh and crispy. I think it's just the hype because it's in a cute fish which has been sold in other states, esp west coast, already. It's too hard to give it higher rating for the price as it was very expensive and I'm not sure I would order it again.
google avatar

Mimi C.

Yelp
My friends are I were in the area so we decided to pop in for some desserts. We looked at the cashier and ordered the black sesame and green tea ice cream and mini mochis. Guess what? She was staring into space and did not get the order. So I asked, you didn't get anything of that? She said, nope. The place was dead when we went so I don't know, maybe the job was too boring for her? I've never went to a place with someone like her as the first line of customer service. The order came out pretty quickly and the food was very mediocre. There's so many better dessert places in Boston for the same price points. I want to give this place a 3 star because that's the basis for mediocracy but that cashier just made it really hard to do so. Needless to say, I would not return.

Yelp
I've been trying different places that serve similar type of ice cream and this place is on the food side. Their soft serve is amazing. My favorite is matcha flavor. They have these mini taiyaki with red bean filling which are amazing. I wish they more filling options, not just custard or red bean only. Will def come back
google avatar

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
Taiyaki NYC has cute fish cone ice cream! There's a couple different flavors of ice cream you can choose from, as well as toppings + choice of fish cone, cup, or waffle cone. They also have preset signature options. I wish their matcha had less vanilla flavor and stronger on the matcha. The matcha ice cream honestly just taste like vanilla ice cream. I do like the concept and eating their cones though but their ice cream is just mid.
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
Taiyaki NYC, where the ice cream is as tropical as a beach vacation and the lines are as long as a summer day. The Strawberry Mango Sorbet and Matcha Hobicha Taiyaki were decent, but the lack of seating and indoor escape from humidity was a bummer. Prices? Seaport standard. Bring a fan, and your patience!
google avatar

Raha M.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place!! Super tasty and adorable. I ordered the Unicorn Taiyaki and my friend ordered the Straight Out of Japan. Perfect choice for dessert.
google avatar

Lily G.

Yelp
PRICEY but occasionally there's a special like over the winter holidays. The matcha ice cream is flavorful but not too sweet, the consistency is fantastic, and the cone is spectacular. It's worth the money. The service is fast. No seating or even standing room so plan to be on the go for this one.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Been hearing all about this place and finally got to check it out. Presentation was on point - I couldn't get over how cute the ice cream was. Matcha ice cream isn't for everyone, but I enjoyed how it wasn't too sweet. The mochi stick was whatever since I'm not a fan of mochi anyways. Shop was super small and there wasn't much room for a line to form inside, but service was quick.
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
The taiyaki here are huge and so adorable!! Sometimes Instagrammable food doesn't actually taste good, but this one is aesthetic and it's also delicious. The soft serve is super creamy and the taiyaki can be filled so you get so many flavors in one. It's a perfectly crispy and creamy dessert. We got one matcha soft serve in a classic fish shaped taiyaki and watermelon soft serve in a really cute Rilakkuma shaped one. We got one filled with red bean and the other w custard and both were really good! To this day it's one of the prettiest desserts I've ever had. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're craving sugar in the Boston seaport area! Service is great and the wait isn't too long, and there's a ton of seating in the little courtyard/plaza outside.
google avatar

Disney H.

Yelp
Fun little spot, parking can be a hassle and sometimes the line is out the door, but if you like soft serve be sure to stop by.
google avatar

Dhanya T.

Yelp
A delightful ice cream shop boasting authentic flavors and unique treats. The staff is nice and the never been too crowded. Their ice cream flavors may not suit everyone, so sampling before buying is wise. However, the matcha flavor is a standout, perfectly creamy with just the right balance of sweetness. While I haven't tried their red bean paste-filled taiyaki, the custard-filled version is heavenly. Must try!
google avatar

Ethan R.

Yelp
Sweet deliciousness Fish shaped ice cream cones!!! Need I say more?! Cold ice cream... warm cone! Their taiyaki waffles are made fresh on-site, and their soft serve ice cream is produced and churned in small batches making it wicked fresh & creamy. Small space, but perfect location set in the Boston Seaport district. Friendly staff & a whole lot of different flavor options to satisfy any pallet. Highly recommended if you're ever in the area looking for a light delight of sweetness.
google avatar

Steph W.

Yelp
Such a unique dessert. The cone is like a soft waffle and very tasty. The red bean filling is wonderful (sweet for those who have never tried red bean paste). The staff worked very quickly with the crowd that arrived. The place itself is very small, not really the place to sit and eat as the are no tables or chairs.
google avatar

Aditi D.

Yelp
One of my favorite ice-cream places in Boston! We came here on a Saturday night after having dinner in Seaport. They have adorable fish shaped cones with various soft serve flavors with fillings, toppings and drizzles. I got the choco-lit which is a chocolate ice cream which comes in a custard taiyaki cone, chocolate drizzle, chocolate powder and a wafer stick. The service is super quick and I'd definitely come back to try other flavors!
google avatar

Kassidi D.

Yelp
Matcha Better: matcha ice cream, vanilla custard taiyaki cone, strawberry drizzle, matcha power & rainbow mochi candy The Coco Lit: chocolate ice cream, vanilla custard taiyaki cone, chocolate drizzle, chocolate powder, & wafer stick We're unbelievable, best options we could have chosen. Tons of flavor, super creamy, & wouldn't have wanted to experience Japanese ice cream any other way. Located in the Seaport, perfect for a day out in the city to cool down. This gets very busy try and get there right when it opens to beat the line. Though it is super busy spot but so worth the wait! There were tons of flavors I didn't try before but the staff with help explain all ingredients. The store itself is in the best spot in the city so beautiful to take foodie pics right in store front. Super colorful and the marketing is 10/10.
google avatar

Madow N.

Yelp
The ice cream (not the cone) is good. The cone is kinda gross - soft and the filling is the worst part. If they did a crunchy cone with no filling, I'd be all over it. The service wax pretty quick. It's a tiny place, so no seating inside. There are chairs outside. It's the seaport, so you'll be lucky if you find street parking fast but we lucked out that day.
google avatar

Colin P.

Yelp
Sooo good. Picture eating ice cream out of a warm waffle. Definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for a treat! Pair this with all the Seaport has to offer and you're stylin'.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
I wanted to like Taiyaki badly but as I consider my experience, it really just did not meet my expectation. A few notes: - The line was extremely long, which is fine as long as what you're waiting for is worth it. - I get to the front of this very long line and they don't have matcha or hojicha flavors, which are literally their go-to classic options. At least tell us earlier maybe?? - The ice cream is so messy and sticky and hard to deal with. Probably should have seen this coming but still not great. - Everything is expensive and portions are really not substantial. Will be going to other ice cream places when in BOS next time!
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
The flavors on the soft-serve ice cream is amazing!!! And it's on top of a warm taiyaki fish with a little bit of red bean on the bottom. Every bite was amazing, but eat it fast because it melts fairly quickly since the taiyaki cone part is slightly warm & fresh. They make it right in front of you so it's almost like a show when they assemble this artwork. Great friendly service.

Yelp
Today, I tried the mochi baby taiyaki, and I'm obsessed! For $6.59 (odd price), you can get nine of these delectable red-bean-filled cuties and a dipping sauce (I chose matcha, but you could get strawberry instead; or, you could pay an extra $0.47 to get both. Again, what an odd price). I didn't see the note about paying more for extra sauce until afterward, but I would have gotten the strawberry as well just to see what it tastes like. Guess I'll have to order this again (wHaT a sHAmE). These are made to order, so I had to wait around ten minutes. I wasn't able to eat them fresh, but they still tasted really good cold. I imagine the edges would be crispier if you eat them right away. The dough was soft and sweet. The red bean was also sweet, but the sweetness as a whole was not overwhelming when paired with the sauce. There isn't that much filling in each one, but it was enough to taste the red bean. The matcha sauce was cold, smooth, and fragrant. I hope this is a permanent menu item because it has already become one of my favorite treats. The price isn't that bad either for the amount that you get. I also hope they bring back the soufflé pancakes because I never got to try them; they are currently only available at the New York location.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try taiyaki with ice cream filling for the longest time. I finally got the chance to during my time in Boston. This place had a line but the line moves so you'll get that delicious dessert in no time! I'm not a big fan of soft served ice cream because it melts too quickly especially in the summer heat. But I still wanted to try the ice cream. It's not bad, great flavor! I just wish it didn't melt as quick or maybe I should learn to eat faster. I really liked the fish shaped custard filling doughy bread texture! It had some crunch while being chewy. They sell these by itself too and I think that's a fantastic option! Even though it's super busy, the workers seem quite used to the long line and are patient while you decide what to get. Really enjoyed this place and I would recommend people to give this Japanese dessert a try!
google avatar

Joanne C.

Yelp
Been here a couple times over 3 years. The first time I went, I got an item purely for aesthetics (got the vanilla unicorn one with red bean fish) and it was good but I wished I got the matcha! The second time I got the matcha, and loved it! The 3rd time I went, unfortunately they were out of multiple flavors. Very small location. No indoor seating so try to go on a nice day where you can enjoy your ice cream and walking around seaport!
google avatar

Joey W.

Yelp
Came here for dessert because this is one of the few spots open late during the week. Hojicha-Cha - I enjoyed the soft serve as it was creamy. The hojicha flavor was more on the subtle side but the Oreos and condensed milk added more flavor to it. I barely tasted the red bean in the taiyaki. The taiyaki was super crispy and lacked flavor. I've had taiyaki soft serve at another place and their taiyaki is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Matcha Better - matcha was subtle but super creamy. Taiyaki was not great.

Jonah X.

Yelp
I heard of Takyaki NYC from social media and friends, and it sure does live up to the hype! The price is very reasonable and service was quick. The smell of freshly made Taiyaki was amazing once we entered- I didn't want to leave! The matcha ice cream was not too sweet and just the right quantity, and the red bean paste was a nice surprise at the bottom of the cone. I do wish there was some indoor seating, but there was plentiful seating outside.
google avatar

Flora L.

Yelp
It's very small inside with no seating available. We didnt have to wait as we were the only customers during weekday lunch time. We both got Straight Outta Japan (swirl of matcha and hojicha with red bean-filled taiyaki. The ice cream was delicious. But the red bean filling was almost not existent, and the taiyaki was soft. I would prefer it if it had a bit of crunchiness outside. Also, I didn't eat the unicorn mochi. Overall, it was still delicious!
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
This place is super small but a must try. The ice cream and cone were delicious and it was super cute had to take some pics. I'll definitely go back I just wish I could have seen the options better before I ordered as there was a Christmas special that I definitely would have gotten if I saw it. #desert #seaport #Boston #Massachusetts #icecream #redbean #custard
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
simple but yummy! glad they have a location in boston. I got the chocolate and vanilla swirl with a custard taiyaki which was delicious :)) wish they had ube!
google avatar

Etienne H.

Yelp
It's never too cold in Boston to enjoy this amazing delight from Japan. Luckily there was not a long line despite the 30F temp but that sure didn't turn away people. Service was lightning speed fast and so was the delivery. The soft serve icecream was so rich and creamy with a light chocolate drizzle. The cone is shaped like a fish with its mouth open for the ice cream- nice creativity! No complaints here - only kudos to the concept and dessert. ¡Buen provecho!

Yelp
At 9:45 I was refused service at the door, a worker said that the group in front of us was the last person allowed in. Even though it was just my sister and I left outside. after trying to convince him to let us in for five minutes we finally gave up and we were waiting outside for our Uber when a man just walks in the door and gets in without anyone saying anything. As I saw no one escort him out, I was frustrated and went to the person who originally didn't let us in. I asked why he let this man in and he said his manager said it was OK. I asked why aren't we allowed? he said sorry we're closed. My manager said it was OK and I said Bring your manager. The manager was literally a ditz and didn't respond to any of my comments. She said that it was a"miscommunication". Im sorry what type of communication are you guys doing in there that you refuse only two people while saying your excuse originally was you're running out of cones. this is bigotry in your facility and you left two Middle Eastern women excluded. Ive never experienced this poor service and they did not offer any solutions or try to reconcile by letting us in. Extremely disappointed and disrespected .
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
Yums! Matcha with the fish cone all the way! -Red Bean filling too please! Love, love, love it! So good except it melts too fast where you gotta eat it quickly before it starts dripping! Parking is a pain, but you gotta do what you gotta do for a good dessert.
google avatar

Alice D.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday afternoon on a holiday and minus one other party, the place was basically empty. The space in general is relatively small and they only have 2-3 seats so I wouldn't count on getting a spot to eat unless it's empty - I've passed the area during the summer and the line is usually out the door so it definitely can get super packed. I was curious as to what a unicorn floaty was as it came free with the donut and originally I thought it was like a root beer float so it'd come with a drink, but I was wrong - I've attached photos, but it was basically a little drink holder that you could literally float in the pool shaped like a unicorn with the place's logo on it. Honestly not a terrible thing to come for free, it was definitely cute and novel. They have a good selection of desserts and drinks and maybe it's because it was a slow day, but it took less than five minutes for our taiyaki to come out. The drink actually took the longest and overall, while it was warm and not bad, I probably wouldn't order it again just because the taste wasn't what I usually like. The dessert though was nice and not a bad size. The rainbow mochi was also a cute touch. Their donuts weren't amazing, but it wasn't the worst mochi donut I've ever had. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back for a nice dessert. The price is a little high, but it's Seaport. The floaty is something I'll keep though, definitely super cute and it came free with the donut!
google avatar

Brooke C.

Yelp
Super cute shop with really unique high quality ice cream options. I was bummed that their matcha ice cream is temporarily unavailable. Staff was kind and worked very efficiently to keep the long line moving.
google avatar

Miranda G.

Yelp
Delicious Taiyaki! I've been multiple times and always make it an effort to take my friends there when they come visit Boston. The matcha/hojicha + custard taiyaki is my favorite combo. The only improvement I would make it to make it more transparent when they do/don't have traditional taiyaki since I've made the trip to get the traditional one various times and only was able to get it once or twice. The lines can be long, so be prepared to wait and on hot days, the ice cream melts FAST. Don't forget to grab some napkins or a spoon on your way out.
google avatar

Karina U.

Yelp
Don't be intimidated by the long line because it moves pretty quickly and you get your ice cream very quickly after ordering. I decided to make my own combination and was told additional toppings would be extra, which would have been fine had they not given me almost no regular sprinkles... or cotton candy sprinkles for that matter. And honestly the cotton candy sprinkles were more like crunch toppings than sprinkles. I wish I had just gone with the Oreo topping instead. That aside, the ice cream itself was very rich and full of flavor and the cone was tasty when you get to the custard part. Otherwise the ice cream really overshadows the regular dough of the cone.
google avatar

Carlie C.

Yelp
A really creative idea that definitely makes their product really fun! Also super cute for kids. The fish waffle is soft and chewy, very different from a waffle cone, and there's usually a sauce inside it. There isn't anywhere to sit in this location, although there is some public seating outside.
google avatar

Ida L.

Yelp
Food - 4 Service - 3 Ambiance - 2 Cleanliness - 3 I chose the wrong day to go. It was so windy in Boston and especially at Seaport. I got the matcha ice cream with the taiyaki. There is no seating inside the little store. Just two bar seats in front of the window but that is almost always taken by someone. There are seating out which is nice if the wind wasn't blowing around. Lesson learned, do ice cream on a nice day or tie up your hair. Overall, pretty good.
google avatar

Donna L.

Yelp
I like the matcha here with the red bean fish cone. There's always a wait out the door when I come here. Usually about 20-30 minutes. Last time I went, they were out of so many flavors which sucked after waiting.
google avatar

Henry M.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream, must try if you're in the seaport area. Friendly staff despite how busy they are!
google avatar

Samuel F.

Yelp
It gets busy, but for this one kid will wait in line 40 minutes without complaint. Taiyaki ice cream is quite a combination, and the cuteness is an obvious part of the appeal. That said, I'd give it a pass if in a hurry or with a large group, and come on, don't show up and place a bulk order on the spot in the middle of a long line.
google avatar

Ryan T.

Yelp
Everytime I walk by the line is always out the door. For ice cream?! I ask myself. After tonight, I finally get it! The fish shaped cones are made fresh and you can fill it with either red bean or custard. With so many ice cream filling options it's so hard to choose from let alone the 2 free toppings at the end to top it all off. They offer a create your own option or a menu to order from. I had the custard filled fish cone with a mix of matcha and hojicha ice cream dusted with graham cracker dust and a skewer of mochi. The ice cream was so refreshing with such a smooth consistency. The mochi was so fresh and chewy. But the best part of it all. Was the fish cone. That last perfect bite with cone, custard, and a little bit of ice cream made it all worth it for me! I finally get the hype now!
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
Super cute different ice cream treat. Street parking available. Be careful with the garages, it will cost you $20 just to run in for an ice cream. No donuts the day we went. Red bean paste was different but surprisingly sweet. Menu has premade combos or come up with your own. Small shop and I'm sure it's crowded with lines in the summer.
google avatar

Dickson L.

Yelp
Hip little ice cream shop in seaport district serving soft-serve ice cream in these little taiyaki-cones. There was a small line out the door as the shop itself can only comfortable fit about 10 people. Service is quick so you aren't waiting in line that long. We got the matcha flavored ice-cream-taiyaki that had red bean paste filling at the bottom. The snack itself was tasty and is a cute treat to split between 2, but at $9 for a soft-serve ice cream with an unimpressive amount of red bean I felt mildly dissatisfied. There was nothing outstanding other than the fish-shaped cone and even then I would rather pay that same amount for a waffle cove with 3 scoops of different mix/match flavors from Ben & Jerry's just next door, tldr; cute shop that sells very normal soft-serve ice cream in Taiyaki cones is NOT worth the hype or the price. Maybe a once in lifetime thing. Maybe.
google avatar

Abegail A.

Yelp
Wow. Taiyaki was sooo good and definitely worth the wait! Don't let that long line that goes to the sidewalk deter you from coming here. Only 6 customers are allowed in the small store at a time, so the line most likely will be long but it moves at a pretty good pace. I had the taiyaki (fish-shaped cone) filled with custard, matcha ice cream, and topped with rainbow mochi (actually a stick with mini mochi) and a wafer stick. Wow. So good! The ice cream had good matcha flavor to it and was very refreshing. The taiyaki was soft uet crispy and slightly sweet. You could tell it was freshly made. I enjoyed the custard found at the bottom of the cone. I just wish there was more of it. I also tried some of the strawberry ice cream, which I surprisingly enjoyed more than my matcha (and I love me some matcha!). It was sweeter than the matcha ice cream and tasted like it had fresh strawberries in it. This was my first time trying out taiyaki, and it definitely won't be my last.

Yelp
This place is amazing very friendly fast service every time delicious recommend if you are near it go to it
google avatar

Yelp
Cute and small place i liked the custard. The ice cream melted kinda quick so eat fast!

Yelp
Amazing flavor selection! I had black sesame and hojicha tea swirl with sprinkles on top. I will Be back!

Yelp
Unfortunately I have to update my review as I had a poor experience with Taiyaki NYC today. We arrived about 3 hours after they opened, and already half their ice cream flavors were sold out. Since I was with a school group, I needed our order to be tax exempt. The cashier told me right away that they couldn't do it and wouldn't even try or let me help (they were using square and I know of a way to include tax exemption with their machine) The workers kept yelling at us to go outside once we had ordered and to keep a 6 person maximum inside the store even though we were all in the same group. I understand that there is a maximum, but I would've appreciated a nicer way of getting us to follow orders. The ice cream itself was pretty low quality. I ended up getting the strawberry flavor because my first choice, matcha, wasn't available. It was watery and tasted pretty artificial. Some others had condensed milk on their ice cream, and it was served to them with the milk dripping everywhere. This may be a good place for aesthetic photos, but the price (more than $8 for one cone!) is not worth the quality.
google avatar

Della S.

Yelp
The ice cream is delicious but I wish the taiyaki tasted better! I got the "straight outta Japan" ($8.47) which had a red bean taiyaki cone and a matcha vanilla swirl ice cream. The ice cream was super creamy. I could clearly taste the difference between the matcha and vanilla flavors and I liked how the ice cream wasn't too sweet. The taiyaki cone seemed a bit overcooked. It was dry and had the taste of a burnt pancake. I prefer the taiyaki at other spots of the same concept (i.e. SomiSomi on the west coast), which is more chewy and has a stronger honey/vanilla flavor. The red bean at the bottom of the cone was delicious. I could see myself coming here for their ice cream if I was craving matcha soft serve.

Came by on a Saturday and waited about 15 minutes in line to order, and it took around a minute to get the ice cream. Decent place to get ice cream in Seaport. The soft serve was creamy and well balanced. The taiyaki cone was good, but I would have liked it to have been cooked for just slightly longer. The red bean filling was also good. The vanilla was good, it wasn't hokkaido milk, but it was still tasty. The matcha ice cream had a good combination of sweet without too much bitter. The mochi and waffle straw were a nice touch visually, but I'd probably skip them next time. I'm not a big ice cream person, but I'd probably go there again if the line wasn't too bad.
