The Best Date Spots When You Aren’t Totally Sure About This
"One of the great rookie dating mistakes is planning everything only at night. Day dates can be extremely successful, especially when you don’t want to burn an entire Saturday night on a guy who has “Breathe. Love. Burning Man” as his dating bio. Tart is a fantastic afternoon option because it’s almost entirely outdoors, the food isn’t going to offend you, and those alcoholic punch bowls will undo both of your insecurities. If your date suggests you both jump in the pool to take advantage of getting your meal half-off, at least you’ll know at that point it’ll never work." - brant cox
Where To Brunch In That Neighborhood You Think Is West Hollywood, But Actually Isn’t West Hollywood
"Can you even post a photo of you at brunch on social media if there isn’t a pool in the back? That’s why there’s Tart - the standard-bearer for all things rowdy poolside brunch. Technically the ground-floor restaurant of The Farmer’s Daughter hotel on Fairfax, Tart’s menu has everything from scrambles to salads to a breakfast lasagna that’s definitely worth checking out. Not to mention their massive punch bowls that aren’t lacking in alcohol content. Related: If you jump if the pool with your clothes on, your meal is 50% off." - jess basser sanders, amy clark, brant cox
"COVID-19 Update: Open for takeout and delivery.
Nestled in the interior patio of the Farmer's Daughter Hotel, TART's poolside patio feels completely isolated from crowded, stress-inducing The Grove directly across the street. This often-overlooked spot serves up Southern-inspired food including buttermilk-fried chicken and waffles (in the perfect proportion) and a respectable shrimp and grits dish. Their punch bowls, which come in a variety of freakishly potent flavors, are a great deal for bigger groups. While we can't confirm from personal experience, we've heard that brave souls who jump into the pool (clothes on) after brunch get their meal for half off.

Stopped here for breakfast on my way out of town and I’m so glad I did. The cinnamon bun latte was amazing — it even prompted my mother to try to recreate it once we got back home (unsuccessfully). Beautiful decor, a delicious benedict and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend!

Coffee here is exceptional. I ordered the French toast which was solid. Our group decided to order the bucket. It served a group of 5 three times over! A great item to share amongst friends

Came for Sunday brunch and was seated immediately. We were greeted immediately as well but waited long stretches in-between for everything.
Food was really good. We ordered eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits, avocado toast, and a few other items. Everything was very good.
We first sat outside but was swarmed by flies and decided to move indoors. It’s unfortunate because they have a lovely outdoor area.

As a Chicken & Waffle connoisseur, I had to check out TART. Their brunch menu was awesome and the Chicken & Waffles were great and really filling. The brunch drink menu was also really solid!

The food was pretty good. I ordered the shrimp tacos & mac n cheese. Only critique is that the food needed salt, especially the mac n cheese since the cheeses they're using doesn't have a salt content. The live music was mellow and relaxing while having great conversation. I'd definitely go back to try other menu items.

The food was pretty bad. I feel like it’s a cool place to have a drink though.
