Yelp
I've been dining at Taste Everest since they reopened after the pandemic, so it's been a few years now. The food here has consistently delivered a delightful experience, and it keeps us coming back time and time again.
Food:
Dhal Tadhka Soup: This creamy, flavorful soup is the perfect way to start your meal. The texture is smooth, and the blend of spices hits just the right notes. It's comforting, warming, and incredibly satisfying. At $6.99, the portion is generous enough for two.
Jasmine Rice: The rice is always cooked, just right--light, fluffy, and an ideal accompaniment to the rich dishes they serve. It's priced at $2.50, or it comes included with a main dish.
Matar Paneer: This dish is a standout with its tender paneer cubes in a luscious, creamy gravy paired with sweet green peas. It's rich and flavorful, though a bit too sweet for my taste, leaving me wanting a sparkling water afterward. The portion is generous, enough for two, and priced at $14.99.
Gobi Manchurian: The Gobi Manchurian is a crowd-pleaser, with crispy cauliflower tossed in a tangy, spicy sauce. It's a great option if you're in the mood for something with a bit of a kick. I've had this dish at many places, but here, it's cooked to perfection. The dish is priced at $14.99, and the portion is so rich that it can easily be shared by four people.
Taste Everest Noodles: These noodles are a treat, packed with fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of seasoning. They're perfect as a main course or even as a side. Just a tip: ask for medium spice, and you can add eggs if you like.
Service:
While the food at Taste Everest is outstanding, the service can sometimes be hit or missed. We've noticed that when they bring in additional wait staff, especially recently, the service can feel a bit rushed, particularly with one of the newer waitresses, which is a bit disappointing considering our long-term loyalty to the restaurant.
On the bright side, Krishna, one of the regular staff members, is always a joy to interact with. He knows his job well, and no matter how long his shift is or how tired he might be, Krishna never displays any negativity. He's always welcoming, friendly, and professional. We absolutely love him and appreciate the warm and consistent serviced he provides.
Overall, Taste Everest is a fantastic place for delicious food, and it's become a staple for us. We just hope the service matches the quality of the food every time.
