"From a directorial debut that went on an hour too long to a virtual date that went on for an hour too short, there are countless reasons you may feel like hovering your face over a steaming bowl of soup at 11pm. When that urge hits, order the “soul ramen” with beef and pork for delivery from Tatsu Ramen in the East Village." - Matt Tervooren

This is how restaurants are supposed to work. You get your ordering and payment out of the way, and then you sit down to enjoy the food, not having to worry about whether the waiter saw you or not. When you're done, you just walk out. It helps that the ramen is also delicious. Great addition to the area.

Overall: Highly recommend the bold ramen and Tatsu is great for delivery, which is often hard to do well with ramen. Food: I typically order the Bold Ramen with regular spice, greens, and the pork. I always add corn (it’s also free!) and the only thing I wish they had they they don’t is menma (bamboo shoots). I’ve also ordered their fried rice, super tasty and worth the add on. Price: $13-18, which seems pretty standard for good ramen in the city, the delivery charges might hike that up a bit though. Delivery: surprising great delivery, which has been important with covid. The ramen comes separated, as it should, with the broth in one container and the noodles/toppings in a takeout bowl, which is usually large enough to just pour the broth right in - though if you have a ramen appropriate bowl, obviously use that instead.

An introvert-friendly ordering system that allows lots of customizations! We tried the Cheeky and the Bold ramen. Both broths were full of flavor but not overwhelming. The soft boiled egg was perfect. The noodles were the way we liked them, a bit more on the firm side. Can’t wait to go back and try other bases!

By far the best ramen and buns in all of NYC, and thats quite a bold statement to make. Had been ordering tatsu for a while on uber eats and finally decided to go over and try the restaurant, the food was twice as good when it hasnt been riding on a bike through the crZy streets of manhattan for twenty minutes. Definitely worth it!!!!

Loved loved the Ramen from Tatsu. Vegan option available!!!! I got the vegan one and it was delicious. My non-vegan friends liked it also. Service was great. You order through a computer and you can customize your ramen and add extra ingredients. It’s not inexpensive but worth every dollar. My bowl was $16.50 but was definitely filling.

I have been here twice since opening. Both times, service has been fantastic, and food even better. Here, you order at the ipads on the wall, and pay with the person at the register. It's pretty decently priced for what you get, and the service really puts it over the top. I went today for the free ramen with an instagram post, and despite the chaos, the team was kind and efficient. Kudos to everyone who dealt with the crazy rush!

Big fan of Tatsu Ramen, this is their first New York location. The ramen is delicious, I've tried a bunch of them, and I love the ramen burger. The ordering process here is a little different, you walk in and there are touch screens on the wall on the left where you place your order and pay. If your selected to eat in, you take your reciept to the host and they will seat you. This is a reasonably priced ramen, and easy to get into - perfect for when you don't want to wait for momofuku noodle bar next door, and for the most part just as tasty. We were visiting from California and stumbled upon this place! My friends and I love ramen, so we gave it a try and it was pretty great! They have fresh garlic and a variety of sauces tableside. We order on tablets along the wall and then its delivered at our table. It was really good broth and I even bought 2 of their ramen bowls as souvenirs!
