"Founded in 2008 in Brookline (at the location of this map point), Tatte now has 11 locations around the Boston area, with at least one more in the works. The bakery and cafe chain has a few different shakshuka dishes available on its all-day menu (and on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all-day brunch menu), all served with toasted challah. The standard option includes tomato sauce, bell peppers, eggs, feta, and parsley, but there’s also a lamb meatball and labneh version and a rotating seasonal version, which currently includes a tomato bell pepper sauce, roasted potatoes, chickpeas, onions, labneh, and cilantro sauce." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

"The only place in Boston that gets this exactly right is Tatte. Get a plain croissant (though the apple croissant is also excellent), and dip it into a sugary cafe au lait." - Terrence Doyle

"Israeli-born pastry chefTzurit Oropened her first bakery in Brookline in 2008. Ten years later,Tatte Bakeryhas eight locations in Boston proper, plus another four in Cambridge, which means Or’s creations are available in almost every neighborhood (no complaints here). The all-day menu features a slew of sandwiches and salads, plus heartier items such as the garden vegetable bowl served with roasted-pepper cashew spread and housemade challah and the avocado and zucchini tartine. We recommend topping just about anything with a poached egg, local and free-range of course." - ByMelissa Malamut

I have been to a lot of tatte locations and I must say that they always deliver! Here is why you should go: 1. consistency. No matter the location they have mastered consistently making their food taste the same and also taste amazing. 2. this location’s atmosphere is particularly nice. Perfect for a nice warm day to sit outside. You will probably have to swoop in to get yourself a table. 3. The interior space is smaller than the other locations I’ve been to, but equally quaint. 4. really kind staff no complaints. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you have never been feel free to look at my photos to get a sense of the space.

Waste of time and money. I wanted to order a tuna sandwich but they were out of that kind of bread. So I ordered a roasted cauliflower sandwich on pita. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the man at the counter informed me they did not have pita either. I was already frustrated from the wait/lack of options, but the man was nice and it wasn't his fault so I said challah was fine to replace it with. I then proceeded to wait another 15 minutes and had to ask about the status of my sandwich in order to finally get it. When I finally open it up, I get this one piece of challah with cauliflower scattered around, barely on the bread. I felt like I was being Punk'd, but Ashton Kutcher never showed up.

Thought to try this cafe while waiting for the rain to settle. Atmosphere is bright white, crisp and bustling freshness. Vanilla Latte was simply perfect! Desserts all looked delicious! We noted the menu does have a few good and savoury vegetarian options available. BUT.. They forgot about our ice tea order and we were left waiting for more than a half n hour. Only to have it taste like WATER, literally! No flavour at all. It was quite the disappointment bcuz everything is on the pricy side.

Google
My bf and I came here for breakfeast as we wanted to go to the location in DC but didn’t know they were a chain. We were so happy to come here for breakfast! It was cute and air conditioned. We got two meals. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant was so flakey buttery cheesy and delicious! He got a grilled cheese with goat cheese and beets I think. It was different and not my thing as I’m a picky eater. We got a raspberry muffin and a tart and both pastries were yummy! Will definitely be back!

The food here is very tasty and fun. Went for a walk and got some snacks. He chicken pita was really good. I love chicken. It is my favourite animal. The pita was tasty because it had veggies and chicken and nice saus! The soup was a tasty tomato soup. It was good. Some of the best, big strong men with tears in their eyes came up to me and said, “Tatte has the best tomato soup, Sir”. To which I replied with a stern face, “Never eat soup uphill me boys, never!” As I proceeded to eat my food and drink my coffee.

I eat regularly at the various branches around Boston. Until today I was always satisfied. Today things were different. The food we ordered wasn’t fresh, especially the vegetables in the salad. The indoor seating area was filthy. Old dirty dishes were left on the tables. None of the employees even noticed. I will never eat there again.

Google
Another overrated coffee shop in Boston. The pastries are always old and unappetizing, and it’s so crowded there’s no place to sit or even stand in line without getting bumped. It’s not as good as it looks, and the place itself is quite unpleasant. I admire the employees for their patience.

Pistachio latte was not smooth. Overnight oats is LOVELY. Atmosphere was great.

Yelp
Beautiful coffee/brunch spot that was hopping on a Saturday mid-morning. Every seat may have been in use. I just needed my daily hot latte to go. It was delicious. How can it not be with all that whole creamy milk. Service was quick, despite the busyness. Nice stop.

Lar A.

Yelp
First stop of our day was this bakery. LOVED the look and aesthetic of the restaurant. It had a very northern European vibe on the outside with middle eastern details throughout which made the bakery stand out in my opinion. We bought a pistachio croissant, two sandwiches and my husband got a pistachio latte, our total was $35. This is a little too much money in my opinion, even for speciality pastries. That being said, the pistachio croissant was definitely the star of the order. Really good butter to pistachio ratio, wonderful size and taste. It didn't taste perfectly fresh, tasted like a day old, but still really delicious. My breakfast sandwich was a sausage/egg/tomato/cheese on challah bread. The sausage had Middle Eastern spices in it, which I really enjoyed, but the sandwich itself just seemed a bit generic. My husband's pita tasted really good, but was far too small for the price. He liked the latte flavor, but didn't like the chunks of pistachio or the mediocre latte art. The service was fine, the servers seemed like they were just doing their own thing, not bad, but not really coming to check on people or overly sweet. "B-" overall grade

Yelp
My friend and I came here on a Thursday afternoon to grab coffee and a sweet treat. I had a cold brew (always excellent) and we shared one of the chocolate mousse cups, which was very good, While Tatte is certainly expensive, the food and drinks are great. I sometimes wish it was a bit less cramped inside and that the tables were bigger, but it isn't the worst option if you need to pull out a laptop and do work.

Girl T.

Yelp
Everyone raves about this place in Boston as a staple to try. Wasn't blown away, service was nice, and inside was clean but nothing out of this world. Passion fruit mini pie thing was not overwhelmingly sweet, but the crust was super hard. The croissant wasn't even warmed up and is it was a crunchy piece of chocolate inside rather than a nice melt.

Jan F.

Yelp
The desserts are very good while the pastries are often underwhelming, either because of excessiveness in a certain aspect or simply because it has been left on display for too long.

Jesan A.

Yelp
As always, Tatte knocks it out of the park. We tried the summer strawberry chicken salad and the lamb pita. I wish the pita was a little larger, had more lamb and a bit more flavor (perhaps more garlic, and spiciness). This location if pretty busy, with a fairly decent atmosphere. I wish the seating arrangements were a tad bit better. The staff are kind and caring.

Taira H.

Yelp
Wow, don't skip out on the pistachio croissants! Hands down, best I've had! I love a good pastry & coffee spot, this had the atmosphere & tons of options for everyone to leave satisfied. I also really like how clean everything was and the staff & service was excellent.

Gustavo R.

Yelp
Tatte is a local's favorite for baked goods & coffee! Great stuff - you can't go wrong with any order! Surprisingly, the line may look long but you will get your order pretty quick. Ambiance? Stays full, but people shift around quickly

Ellie W.

Yelp
Super fast service! I love the display of baked goods! The store interior is super cute and gives off a classy ambiance.

Pete W.

Yelp
Tatte in Brookline is delicious and a great place to hangout. They have a big table and they bring your drinks to you. Very nice experience and will come back.

MountainMama B.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! The sweet and savory options are incredible. We had a few baked items and coffees early in the morning and went back for lunch. Staff were friendly. Clean, spacious and inviting. Great study space for students. Highly recommended! Six stars out of five!

Yelp
I absolutely love the vibes you get from walking into a coffee shop and catching up with a friend. It's like you've been teleported into the Room of Requirement where THE checklist is checked. The checklist being, MY checklist for coffee shops: 1. Yummy caffeinated drinks 2. Tasty food I can eat while venting 3. Comfortable seating because we're not going anywhere anytime soon 4. Tables where I can pull out my laptop and get the teeniest amount of work done in order to tell myself this whole vent session was productive 5. Clean bathrooms cause coffee always gets me going! Okay so we got: AVOCADO TARTINE My personal favorite every time I come to Tatte! It's their house-made sourdough (their bakery is amazing) topped with mashed avocado, baby arugula, dill, radish slices and poached eggs. It comes with a multitude of different herbs, flavors and textures. Ugh, so freaking good could totally have this everyday! Every bite is perfection and it's also pretty filling. I'm usually full after finishing this off with an iced latte. Delish! BREAKFAST SANDWICH For my chicken tenders and fries kinda girls. Eggs your style (over medium in this case), Vermont cheddar, and applewood smoked bacon on their house-made sourdough. It's simple, but their fresh ingredients make this delicious! CHOCOLATE CROISSANT Like I said earlier, their bakery is amazing. I always split a chocolate croissant here with my sister because she always wants one of these bad boys. Their croissants are made with four Valrhona dark chocolate batons which are then rolled into their house-made flaky croissant dough. Every bite is so buttery, so flakey and deliciously chocolatey. You gotta have one of these, really takes the edge off the angry vent sessions! ICED PISTACHIO LATTE House-made pistachio syrup topped with espresso and milk. Sounds interesting enough? Love, absolutely love. Wish I could make this at home, but it still probably wouldn't turn out as good. It's like pistachios were brewed or steamed (however it works) right into the coffee beans. I'm telling you, if you're a big pistachios fan like me you'll love this! Tastes like real pistachios not the simple syrup fake kind. I also get this with oat milk because I am a lactose "sensitive" girly. Could drink this everyday. SMOKED SALMON & AVOCADO TARTINE This is my sister's go to when we come here. It's their house-made sourdough that gets toasted and topped with some delicious smoked salmon, chopped avocado, campari tomatoes, red onion, capers (my sister loathes capers so she opted not to get them) and dill tossed with olive oil and their special green herbed dressing. Every bite is so tasty and it's sooo colorful making it even more satisfying to devour this. Very filling and hits the spot every time. If you haven't already, you have GOT to check this busy bee place out! It's cute to catch up here, great for studying with headphones, grabbing a quick bite to eat and it's the perfect location for showing someone around Boston for the first time! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tatte offers such a consistent high quality experience, and the Coolidge corner location is no exception!! The food is made with care, food allergies are accommodated, and the staff is super friendly. The cafe is well spaced out and the decor is fresh and clean! Love it all around.

Chelsea W.

Yelp
A fabulous bakery. Everything I tasted was exquisite, perfectly baked. We stayed in a brownstone close by and visited 2 of those days. Once for evening snack and once for breakfast. I sampled: tuna fish salad, tiramisu, almond croissant , house latte and regular latte. Everything I tasted was scrumptious! Perfect in a beautiful urban setting I should have taken more with me! I cannot wait to return!

Himani M.

Yelp
A sophisticated bakery and cafe chain in the Boston area and apparently also Washington D.C. You order your food at the front counter and they give you a number to hold on to so they can bring the food to you. My heirloom tomato tartine was perfect--the sourdough was perfectly crispy and the flavors and textures all together with the goat cheese mousse, pesto, tomatoes, etc was ridiculously delicious. Note: I got the heirloom tomato tartine at another Tatte a day later since I loved it so much but it was noticeably less amazing because of the sourdough being a little soggy and other small reasons. So each Tatte's quality of preparation may differ here and there.

Brian R.

Yelp
The Brookline AM staff are walking around looking at each other like they all had a huge argument right before they opened, and the LAST thing they want to do is deal with customers. I hope they feel better.

Garnet M.

Yelp
The last time I went to a location for Tatte was in DTX a while ago. I went recently to this quaint and airy location on Beacon Street in Brookline around 7:00 PM. The counter area was still filled with delicious looking pastries and breads. The cheesecakes topped with fruit were calling to me, as well as the other single serving tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and passionfruit krembos. Deciding was so hard because I wanted to taste everything. I was peckish, so ordered just a pistachio croissant and a tea. Service was efficient and I got my tea and croissant quickly. This delicious pastry is described as "filled with house made pistachio filling, brushed with simple syrup, and topped with crumbled pistachio." To paraphrase Ina, "how delicious is that?" It is three days later and I am craving one. I just remembered that I purchased some pistachio spread a while back to slather on a mortadella and prosciutto sandwich. Now I need to find some croissants and see if I can replicate the deliciousness. Otherwise, I am finding some shoes and heading to the closest Tatte. Go here and enjoy the calories. It will be worth it!

Yelp
You haven't brunched in Boston if you have not been to Tatte. They say Boston runs on Dunkin, but lets be real here. Tatte takes the cake, beit a small extra price to pay for amazing ingredients. Iced mocha out of this world. Croque madame is so heavenly. Moved back to the midwest and i miss Tatte every day! This location is off Beacon and theres no parking, but its right off the st marys train stop so pretty convenient!

pantea T.

Yelp
Tatte's ambiance and interior decor is always the best thing about it! The food is 8ish out of 10. Some items are fresh some are dry, really depends! The service is fine! I would say especially if you want to sit for a while go here!

Mark G.

Yelp
Selection of pasties, sandwiches, and coffee is excellent and the taste was fantastic. I had a mixed berry tart, my wife had a cheese quiche, we both had a latte and couldn't have been more pleased. We set outside, where the weather was perfect and people friendly to talk with. Seating was adequate and with people coming and going quite quickly there were always open tables, Customers even bussed their own areas and kept the place clean. With all the flowers around and beautiful trees this is a great place to sit down, rest and enjoy a bite with great coffee!

Jeff D.

Yelp
Not a fan at all. Got a double espresso and some crème brûlée croissant. Croissant was dry and not sweet enough and just flat out too expensive. I would pass

Emily L.

Yelp
Really really good sandwiches. Super fresh ingredients -- ripe avocados and heirlooms tomatoes. Bread and croissant are so tasty. Quality Turkey. Turkey BLT was the star of the show but croissant breakfast sandwich held its own. Will deffos order again.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Love their cake Had their strawberry cream cheese cake. It was so good- not with bread but mostly cheesy mousse that is not too sweet but more like yogurt taste. I liked how it was creamy. The shape doesn't stay because of the creamy texture so would recommend storing in somewhere cold before eating.

Iphone I.

Yelp
I've been to a lot of Tatte locations and this one is really unique and "local". Very warm staff who know the local 65+ population which is endearing. An abundance of good quality food and seating in a beautiful but non stuffy/pretentious location.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Ordered some weekend brunch and got the turkey BALT and a latte. And it was amazing! The sandwich was slightly warmed, with a great balance of turkey, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion. All the flavors went so well together and the bread was tasted perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Yum!

Heather A.

Yelp
Typically crowded but a fast turn around on orders - just tricky to find seating. Basic lattes - no flavor shots. Something I need to enjoy coffee so if you like it sweet like me, come for the food but pass on the coffee!

Rita H.

Yelp
This was my first time in Boston, and I was told that Tatte is a must-try. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. When I first walked in I immediately thought that the place is super cute and I had a good ambiance. After spending 10 minutes trying to figure out what to get (so many options looked good, I just couldn't make up my mind), I finally decided on the smoked salmon, avocado, and egg sandwich, along with a vanilla latte. I absolutely loved it. The sandwich was packed with salmon, and the egg was so fluffy and flavorful. I also loved the addition of capers, but the real star of the show was the house-made challah roll. It was so fresh and soft; everything paired together was delicious. The vanilla latte was also very good, and you could tell the coffee was high quality. I wish they would bring Tatte to the West Coast because there are so many more things I would love to try. I will definitely return if I ever come back to Boston!

Dan D.

Yelp
Tatte came recommended for early coffee and breakfast. We visited twice while in town. We had both hot and iced lattes which were both delicious along with an egg sandwich with gouda cheese on toasted specialty bread. They were accommodating in splitting the sandwich and plating on 2 plates. If you arrive after 8am you will have to wait for a table both inside and out. Everyone I saw ordered a tomatoey breakfast dish with egg in a bowl with slices of bread to drench, I should have ordered it to try, maybe next visit to town.

Corinne C.

Yelp
Lamb meatball shakshuka: YUMMMM. It was a drizzly blustery day and this hit the spot SO well. The sauce is rich and well seasoned, and mmmm the lamb meatballs have a perfect flavor. The peppadew peppers offer a pop of bright acidity. The toasted homemade challah is fantastic on its own, and even better when used to sop up the delicious sauce. Love love love this shakshuka. Tomato bisque was also fantastic. Oftentimes tomato bisques are too acrid and acidic, but this was rich and rounded (probably a simmered parmesan rind?) with a barely-sweet creamy note. Pistachio croissant was flaky and rich. Wish we had Tatte on the west coast!

Tanusree M.

Yelp
Came here in the morning for some coffee to-go. The restaurant was super busy, with no tables available. The interior gives off diner vibes, cozy and casual. The cashier recommended the pistachio latte to me, so I ordered that. I was enticed by the pastries, so ended up getting a pistachio croissant as well! Both were amazing. The coffee was creamy, sweet, and had a nutty taste from the pistachio. The croissant was absolutely delicious, with lots of pistachio filling. I do recommend trying both of these items out. However, if you are looking for a stronger coffee, then I would suggest trying something else from their menu for your coffee fix.

Maxi L.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for the longest!! Pastries are AMAZING!!! My fav was that bowl with the mushrooms and bacon! It was just the two of us but we were eating for 6! Lol self serve type of style restaurant.

Lauren J.

Yelp
3 stars for the Turkey B.L.A.T. that I got on sourdough. The sandwich was large and delicious. Turkey, bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato. How can you go wrong? So, why 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? First - the tables were extremely dirty. They obviously hadn't been wiped off in a while and there were crumbs and food remnants everywhere. Which is curious, because there were at least 3-5 employees gossiping and laughing loudly behind the counter the entire time I ate there. When someone came in, they were helped, but there was a constant screeching, giggling and chatting from the other staff behind the counter. I don't expect a library atmosphere, but when you are FULLY 10x louder than any of the actual customers, there's a problem.

Zehra S.

Yelp
Came here while visiting Boston for some pastries and coffee, and was not dissapointed! The coffee was delicious but the food is what really sold me. We got a pistachio croissant and a berry cheesecake cup. The cheesecake was good but could have been a bit sweeter. The pistachio croissant on the other hand? AMAZING. One of the best croissants I've ever had, just wish it had more filling. The vibe inside is so nice and airy, it was really busy since it was a Sunday morning but I'm glad I got to check it out! I would love to try this place again for their savory brunch items if I'm ever in town again!

Melanie H.

Yelp
I've been meaning to write a review for Tatte's but was really gauging it out especially because it's a popular chain in Boston! So after much contemplation to the anticipation of no one, here's my final thoughts! Tatte's was one of the first places I went to while deciding to move to Boston while grinding out an essay for four hours and for that it will always have a special place in my heart. It's one of the places that made me realize that Boston does chain coffee shops really well, which I think is an extravagant feat in itself! Everything is managed fairly uniformly from ambiance, which is absolutely beautiful, to taste! I love doing work here especially when I don't know where to work because there's always so many locations available! Now for food and drinks: if you've followed my previous cafe reviews, I'm big on chai and with all this given history and set up, I was really excited to chai it here! However, I was pretty disappointed to find it tastes very watery and not chai at all. Even the milk flavor wasn't evident in the drink and honestly not worth it to me for the price point. I give it a 2/5 but also New England just doesn't do right by chai in general. THE FOOD HOWEVER, besides the ambiance, is the real reason I come back. I was so shocked and thoroughly impressed that they have really good food. MAN THAT LAMB HASH!! I try it again and again and still get impressed by it! The short rib grilled cheese and shakshuka is a close second though and I have yet to try others but I'm sure it'll be just as great and their meat will be just as tender! So yes, come to Tatte's, hang out, catch up with a friend, and try their food!

Angela K.

Yelp
Cute little bakery cafe or quick lunch spot with some friends in Boston! There are a few tables inside, and a window barstool situation, but plenty of outdoor seating. All the desserts and cakes looks really appetizing, but I controlled myself and ordered something savory for lunch. The two friends I came with got shakshuka - one original and one lamb. I got the Spinach, Egg, and Corn Plate (Sautéed spinach, fresh corn, and poached egg* served over garlic labneh and topped with Aleppo chili oil. Served with housemade sourdough.) The egg plate doesn't look like much, but it is so filling and yummy. And you get 2 big sourdoughs to help mop up the yummy sauce - first time trying labneh (yogurt-like consistency) THEIR SOURDOUGH IS AWESOME - it's crispy but still soft. I hate sourdough that is hard as rocks - sorry I'm not a sourdough connoisseur so idk if it's actually supposed to be hard but it was perfect here for me! We also got matcha lattes and a cold chocolate. Everything here is super solid - would definitely come back!!

Allison H.

Yelp
Cute local chain in town serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, pastries, coffee and non-coffee beverages. This location has a good amount of indoor and outdoor patio seating. On this visit we ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice, an iced chai latte, and the B.L.A.T. sandwich. We were disappointed with the OJ since it was small, tasted ok, and was not truly "freshly squeezed" at that moment - it was already bottled. The iced chai was fine, not my favorite, and they messed up the milk. The sandwich, however, was the star of the show - it was so delicious and is the sole reason this review is getting 5 stars - the housemade challah was light and the sriracha aioli tied all the flavors together. Yum!

Michael C.

Yelp
This place has so much vibe and great atmosphere. Eat inside or out as both are fine. We had chicken pita and grilled cheese with short ribs. The spinach and labneh was the best. A bit costly but this is a great place to sit with friends.

Robin W.

Yelp
Ambiance is great, the food displayed in the front cases looks terrific and the menu items mouthwatering. However when the food actually appears it could taste a lot better. My pistachio croissant was hard, dry and tasteless. No croissant flakiness. My friend's all American breakfast had rubbery scrambled eggs and lifeless potatoes. Would not recommend.

Joseph S.

Yelp
Boston, so much to see and do. Putting out the word to all foodies...you seek the combo variety and flavors (both traditional and unique) that make you search high and low to satisfy your cravings...then Tatte is a "must add" to your hit list After visiting hundreds of cafes over the years they all begin to look the same with small variations on the same fare. When you find a cafe with several variations AND some truly unique ideas of flavor combos you will want to stop. And after several visits over a recent 3 day jaunt to Boston I was not able to try all that I wanted. Mark my word: everything I tried was delicious and borderline spectacular! And they have some grab and go options if you are short on time

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Excellent almond croissant . Croque Madame was pretty good, but kind of pricey. On fact, the whole menu is expensive. An egg and cheese sandwich is $10! Welcome to Brookline! Diverse clientele I think. Seemed to me there were a bunch of Euros there.

Jake C.

Yelp
Tatte is one of the best coffee places in Boston with unique flavors in their drinks and food alike. The drinks and food are both a bit pricey, but comparable to other nicer coffee shops in the area. They have a nice environment for working, but you may have trouble finding a table, since it is usually packed.

Amber Y.

Yelp
High quality ingredients. Food is delicious. Coffee is legit. Nitro was a little too nitro for me!! I got the biscuit and egg with added cheese. So yummy.

Se C.

Yelp
First time visiting a tatte bakery and I absolutely loved everything about this place. The shakshuka paired really well with the carmalized onion and mushroom flatbread. I also got the pear pastry which was peary good. There is ample seating spots in here. There are lots of windows at this bakery so it lets in a lot of natural light. There is a section for food and different section where they make the drinks. I felt so cozy in here. Would definitely come back to try.

Vivian S.

Yelp
Super crowded on a Sunday morning, but we managed to snag a seat. The staff are friendly and the food came out quick. There aren't many vegan options for food (none for pastry), but the chickpea purée with pita (it's just fancy hummus) does not need alterations to be vegan. I thought it would be a lot of hummus for one meal, but surprisingly the dish did not get boring and I ate all of it. The pita is on the chewier dense side, but it paired well with the hummus which is on the lighter side. Super savory but with lots of herbs like mint and parsley for a bit of flavor variety and freshness in every bite. If I was going with a friend I'd order again, but wouldn't go out of my way to come. The lamb meatballs were enjoyed by my friend, but the bread was described as a little dry, even with the meatball sauce.

Bev H.

Yelp
Tried to come here for lunch and coffee. Every single table was occupied by people on their laptops camped out working. Maybe half of them didn't even have a purchased coffee or pastry. We asked the man at the register that we wanted to sit and have lunch (probably spend $30-40) and that if we could have a place to sit. He said "first come first serve" and I asked what about people camped out at the table all day not eating? He shrugged. I understand people like working at coffee shops but not allowing people who want to sit and eat and spend money because someone who bought a $4 coffee (or not) takes a table for 3 hours is stupid. Won't be back to this location.

suzanna r.

Yelp
Aww tatte I remember when you first opened. We were so excited. Life changed and I have not been to Boston in years so it was lovely to treat myself. I feel like I walked in with the memory of flavor and beauty starting off with expectations that might have been unfair. I am also amazed at how much the menu has grown from those early days of table laden with amazing nut tarts! I ordered a tarting with ricotta and peaches that had mint over tones and succulent honey. Had the peaches been top notch the honey would have been icing on a cake. But I also might be spoiled this summer as each week our csa has had amazing peaches... small juicy packed with flavor and fresh from the tree. I think the style of large slices of peach is appealing visually but I think the flavor might have been better with thinner slices since the peaches on the tartine did not hold their own...they needed the mint and honey. That said, I loved the a warm crisp sourdough that lay beneath. It had the texture and flavor against the ricotta that was delicious. The peaches though , would have if more flavorful given the balance of lightness needed. I also bought a halva bomb to share - it was delightful. The creamy ball. At first I wondered where the halvah was... all neatly tucked away in the center. When I found it I was delighted. I bought a few other treats to share with friends and family. The nuts are always a beauty and something you don't find everywhere- so a perfect gift. And the little cakes are a great taste size and visually pleasing. I also can't wait to break into the cookies!

Yelp
The shakshouka kept me coming back but I'm being deterred from returning. Today undercooked eggs with runny white and to finish it off a long brown hair. Pastries also stored right next door to the restroom. Reported to the server the hair who was apologetic. That's it. No more visits here for a while. To finish on some good points. Nice thick creamy lattes. Quick service. Lots of outdoor seating. The shakshouka is tasty even with added extra.

Yelp
Love this spot!!! The food and coffee are both amazing! I tried the halloumi salad and it was the perfect combination of flavors and HUGE! The prices are also really reasonable for what you get. They have a shady patio in the front too which is lovely.

Yelp
I live on the same block so I come here pretty often. They're pretty consistent. The service is always great, staff is really helpful. The ambiance is welcoming and clean. The food is the best part of Tatte to me personally. I have had the lamb shakshuka and it's amazing every time. Today I had the fresh mozzarella sandwich which was delicious.
